  1. I was actually planning to make a farewell topic, but that would imply that I still care, which I don't. Thus, a status will suffice: farewell Reborn. You have fallen to lows I didm't even think possible.

  2. By the way, I clicked on something by accident, and I found myself faced with some sort of test or poll (I only paid attention to the fact that "Red" was one of the option for the first question). I initially thought that I had entered the "obtainable Pokemon" page, but it obviously wasn't it, and now I cannot find that page again. What the hell did I click? o.O

      Oh wait, it was the "what type are you" quiz. Meh

  3. You know, I find it really annoying when people start being like "OMG YOU'RE SO OVERREACTING" or "LOL THE SALT" or "YOU'RE JUST MAD CUZ YOU DIDN'T GET YOUR WAY". Last time I checked, expressing one's opinion was a constitutional right. One that, in this forum, is used and abused when dealing with matters way more problematic than Pokemon, may I add.

      @Night fighter: few things are as garbage as youtube comments. That's like saying we punch babies in the face, but at least we are disciplined unlike those other people that eat babies instead.

      What? You don't think I think that's overreacting too, Tomas. I am many things. Upbeat to a fault. Stubbornly prideful. But I am also internally consistent.

  4. Inb4 Lillie is a carbon copy of Catherine, personality-wise... And with Se7en on hold, we won't even be able to say, "we did it first" ;-;
  5. So, Psychic/Steel with Clear Body, Ghost/Psychic with Multiscale, and signature moves with built-in Mold Breaker (which, if said moves are STAB, is currently useless). Gen 7 legendaries officially suck?

      I can't believe between a kecleon and a magcargo, none were running rock coverage.

      In magcargo's case it wouldn't have mattered after the quiver dances, but kecleon could have ended that right away.

      IKR. Instead, the guy wasted turn after turn doing nothing, and I set up for free. Although in fairness, he is only to blame for the stubborness, not for the bad sets: those are not his fault, this being random...

  7. DA's links do that, reupload your thing to Imgur before posting it here. We had that problem with literally every artwork for Pokemon Se7en before.

  9. When asking for advice, you might want to explicitly state this kind of stuff from the get go. It completely changes my understanding of the situation, you know. So, if she is Death, there are some questions that need answering: does she still do her job as Death, while busy with whatever the plot is about? If so, how does she get the two sides of her life to coexist? If not, why did she leave her job, and what kind of consequences were there because of her doing so? I think answering these questions will put you on the right track: maybe a cool twist might be to put the spotlight on the fact that she genuinely respects the value of life. After all, who can understand the value of something, better than the one in charge of ending it? She knows how much each and every one of us has to live. Thus, she knows the exact worth of each life: this cannot teach her compassion, as that would be against her job description, but it can very well teach her respect. Just an idea: other possible ones include the cold, detatched professional, the conflicted empath, or the perky goth executioner. Recommended read which would help you immensely: Mort by Terry Pratchett.
  10. Well Synthetic Rose does have a point in that a condition is never THAT specific. Instead of being incapable of feeling sad about a loss, the girl should have some kind of issue or condition that blocks off said feeling as a side-effect. Like Elektra of Daredevil fame, who is so hardened by her training she cannot shed a tear even when her dad is murdered in front of her, or Sapphire from Disgaea 3, who is physically unable to cry and beats herself up because of it. Basically, I am suggesting thay you depict this condition as a wide, complex set of causes and effects, and not as a convenient plot device.
  11. A formula is what makes a game franchise recognizable, and keeps the fans coming. Rejuvenating a formula is one thing (it's what we were trying to do with Se7en, before it went the way of the dodo), but getting rid of it entirely? Allow me to answer your question with a question: if they announced that the next Fire Emblem will have a Tron-like futuristic setting with a cyber vampire as protagonist, what would your reaction be?
  12. Thank you all guys! You have no idea how much this means to me
  13. I just wanted to indulge in a little personal thing, I know it's selfish to use the forum this way, but please forgive me. See, in just 2 days a very important national festivity will start. Exactly 70 years ago, on june the first, a referendum was held, calling the people of Italy, who had recently been freed from fascism, to decide on the future of the country. It was the first time everyone aged 18 or older could vote, without distinctions of gender and social class. The next day, on june the second, the results came in: as per popular decision, the king (who had made it possible for Mussolini to seize power to begin with) was ousted, and Italy became a full-fledged republic for the first time in its history. My grandpa, who died today, was among the people who made that fateful day possible. He was exactly my age back then: the retreating nazis and the fascists still loyal to Mussolini were fighting the advancing Allied Forces, who had invaded Sicily and were marching northwards, literally palm by palm, and they had built a fortified line to stop the advance of the Americans literally across my native valley which, given its position in the exact middle of the country, held strategic significance. My grandpa had seen his dad, a notorious socialist, beaten up by the fascists multiple times, so when the news came in, he knew it was time for action: he went up to the mountains and became part of a guerrilla brigade, which helped the Americans break through the nazi lines. This technically makes him a traitor and a diserter, but considering that the people he betrayed were nazis and fascists, and considering that his actions led directly to my country becoming a republic, I am as proud of him as I could be. While it is sad that he died just two days short of the national festivity held to remember and honor him and the thousands like him, I like to think that this celebration is for him. Goodbye grandpa, I can only wish I had a tenth of your courage.
  14. My money (pun totally intended) is on Owens: I mean, WWE has a history of reusing storylines they know are easy money (again, pun totally intended), so I can totally see them betting their money (third pun!) on the fact that MITB-holding Owens vs Zayn (who is pissed at him and prevents him from cashing in) would be MITB-holding Rollins vs Ambrose all over again. Which, mind you, would totally be ok with me: ok, recycled storylines are boring, but at least we get to make Owens and Zayn into legitimate top stars.
  15. Welp, it finally happened. After months of agony and morphine-induced coma, grandpa finally passed. I honestly don't know how I feel about this, but I figured I'd post just so you people know why I am not being very active lately

  16. You know, this is actually a very big problem for me. I own a leather coat (a short coat, not a trenchcoat, to be precise), which is like, the coolest coat ever. I have been owning it for years, it still fits perfectly and I love it so much, so I wear it whenever possible... ... But see, this is the problem. The damn thing is way too thick to wear in italian springs and summers (I would melt in the heat), but not thick enough to wear on winter, so I rarely get to actually show it off ;-;

      Someone should bomb the train tracks so bad that it'll take two months to rebuild them :/ Good luck man

      No need to bomb a perfectly fine train infrastructure. Get sheep instead. Lots of sheep. They'll block the train and force it to stop.

      Be it with sheeps or bombs, good luck in there.

  20. Ok so: 2♧ has the reference to "creations" (which could be about my chibis, or even the Pokemon from Se7en, although those are technically Zim's creations) as well as the "you are always engaged into something" line, which might refer to my multiple failures projects. But the "we barely talk" line seems inaccurate, given that Ody is always stal... Err... Keeping me company. 4♤ hardly has anything that might be reminiscent of me, as "stern" nor "hardass" are words I'd use to describe myself. "Bossy" maybe, but not "stern". 4♢ cannot be me, because I haven't gone quite at any point in the past few months. 4♧ cannot be me because I never worked with you on anything. So yeah, the first one is the closest one, but even then, not quite on target. So once again, I question either your way of wording stuff (if it is indeed that one) or my own way of giving impressions to other people, if it's one of the others.
  21. I am still in the "what is this I don't even phase". Mostly because none of the cards left even remotely sounds like me... Which really makes me question what kind of impression I give to others o.O
  22. The moment Greninja was given one single (physical!) coverage move, people started going into pure hysteria about it, resulting in one of the quickest ban in history. The same people decided that having Volcanion begin its run in OU was a good idea, and haven't yet started to suspect test it. Smogon everyone! Now that I got that out of my system, I need to ask: what is the purpose of this team? Because while I can see it doing a great job of spinning a silly meme, and while it seems perfect for being slaughtered horribly by every team that carries a bulky SR setter and Volcanion (I.E. every single team on SD right now), I am having troubles to see how it deals with the part about, you know, winning. Problems I see in order of appearance: 1) Latias is under a horrible amount of pressure. It checks every single Pokemon that is problematic for this team... But it does just that. It is basically a go out, tank, Roost, Defog, come back kind of deal. Which is all fine and dandy if the opponent's team carries ONE Pokemon that is problematic to you, as in, JUST Volcanion or JUST Tornadus-T or JUST Keleo (listing this over Gyarados because, well, how the hell is Gyarados giving you problems?). But if the opponent is running any two from this list at the same time (which nowadays means, Volcanion and another one), Latias will be switching in and out an awful lot, eventually getting its lefties knocked off and its pretty skin scorched by hot steam. That will wear you down fast, I tell you... And the set you gave her does her no favor, either. While I can kinda sorta understand the choice of HP fighting, it being your sole offensive move means that, while you are not a lot better at taking on prospective Pursuit trappers, you are also a lot worse at checking the things Latias is supposed to check. Sub CM Keldeo still exists, and once it has foiled your Toxic with Substitute, it will soon get to the point where you either give it a free turn by switching out, or you utterly fail to break the sub with your non-STAB, low-BP move. And then the little pony will wipe out your team, because Latias is your sole realistic out to it. So yeah, Latias is a good way of dealing with the Pokemon that give you grief, but she cannot do it alone. 2) Keldeo is good per se, but I see it having an issue with the synergy of the team, which I will explain in more details later on. 3) Magnezone is good, moving on. 4) My problem with CBTar is that Tyranitar does not NEED to lock itself into a move (and locking yourself into Pursuit essentially means, their next Pokemon is free to set up at its leisure) to Pursuit-trap people. Heck I remember running a set for Ttar that had no Atk investiments a while back, and it was still enough to kill the Latis with Pursuit. So yeah, consider Assault Vest over Choice Band, retaining the same EVs and moves. You will still have enough firepower to kill people, you will hve the luxury of choosing which move you want to use each turn, and between AV and Sand, you will have enough SpDef to tank any non-Focus Blast special move in existance, thus giving you a way of assisting Latias in her eternal struggle to sponge damage. Basically, right now Latias has to switch into any problematic move: with the change I am suggesting, Ttar could serve as an alternate switch-in for some threats (Mega Manectric, for starters), thus making it easier to keep Latias healthy. 5) Keldeo, Serperior, Pinsir: see, this is where you lost me. So, you have two sweepers who need to set up, albeit in different ways, in order to get going: one physical and one special. On top of that, you have an extra special sweeper (scarfed, at that) in Magnezone. What do you accomplish by adding a third special sweeper? What does it do to help the team win? What are the threats it can defeat, or at least cripple, that the rest of the team couldn't already handle? You have physical Fighting coverage on Pinsir (incidentally, consider Storm Throw over Close Combat: when you factor in the guaranteed critical it has the same damage output, but bypasses screens and doesn't debulk you), and between Magnezone and Serperior, you achieve a special coverage that makes Water absolutely irrelevant: Scald's burn chance doesn't justify, by itself, carrying a coverage option you simply don't need. Wouldn't it be wiser to have a defensive Pokemon here, something that can switch into some of those nasty threats that give your grief? As dirty as I feel even suggesting it, Quagsire could be a good match for this team: the Unaware variant stops the Mega Gyarados you are (somehow) so afraid of, while the Water Absorb variant is a great out to Volcanion and enemy Keldeo... Which means you can switch Quag, and not Latias, into those: suddenly, the main problem of this team (Latias being under way too much pressure) is solved. Plus, Quag has so few viable moves that you can easily give it Toxic and make it the status spreader of your team, allowing you to run some much needed STAB move on Latias (Psyshock being the top option, for the aforementioned CM Keldeo which still exists). TL;DR: Psyshock over Toxic on Latias, AV over CB on Ttar, and Quagsire over Keldeo.
  23. While probably not directly applicable to my situation, these are cool ideas too. And I am finding the article you posted to be interesting, as well. You sure have given me some things to ponder
