Andre attempts to suplex the Tigrex again! [17 vs 31] Somewhat unsurprisingly, he is unable to suplex something that is the biological equivalent of an extremely angry freight train. He does deal [5] damage, though. The Tigrex leaps at Andre through the air, crashing down atop him for [23] damage! [24 vs 18] He's knocked to the ground, winded and stunned. However, it quickly pops back into the air in an uncontrolled tumble, crashing to the ground unpleasantly and taking [18] damage. It lays on the ground, dazed but still enraged. Status

Andre punches the Tigrex for [10] damage! The wyvern inhales to roar. A cloud of shrapnel bursts over its head, and down its gullet the shards go, cutting its throat. This deals [13] damage, but it also seems to upset the beast further than it already was. It leaps backward, roaring again, this time hard enough to knock Andre and Mar off of their feet for [1] damage. After they recover, they can see a change in the beast: veins bulging, and the eyes, previously a bright blue, now a sinister and nearly glowing red to match the lines traced across and around its body now. Status

Mitsurugi enters the temple cautiously, alert for threats.

She'd planned on going hunting, but there was still the off chance of further pursuit. Instead, Hoshiko had climbed a tree, setting herself up a little archer's nest. It was surprising how she could manage to hide bright pink hair, but if you hadn't known she was there, you'd be hard pressed to spot her before coming into her range. She sat there, thinking and praying quietly as she kept up a careful watch.

Mar and Andre head into the Steps. Mar chooses a stealthy approach, while Andre's is, presumably, much less so. They find the Tigrex chowing down on one of the Aptonoths while the others run off into the distance. There's a distinct moment of tension as it raises its gore-streaked maw from its prey to glare directly at Andre.

Hiroki gazed at the tiles of the floor. She brought up her HUD again, took a picture of it, and hit a few buttons to more or less automatically enhance it to make it easier to study. She looked at it for a moment, and traced a finger along the lines for a bit. After a few moments, she chose another option, and traced her finger one more time; this time, it left a bright red line behind. She saved the image, and then flipped it so it was more visible to the others. "I can, um, keep a map, so I think we should go through the maze."

M15 overwatch

"I think we should, um, fight them too, instead of having to deal with them later." She was also curious as to what they were. Chronos couldn't deal with them, so they were probably rather strange, especially if the body he used was at all similar.

Mar starts to create a set of bombs, but he mishandles the relatively volatile components they are composed of, spilling them about the camp. Andre yells. A roar sounds from the general direction of the Steppe.

Mar heads back to the camp. He flops into the bed there and takes a short nap, feeling entirely rejuvenated. Full HP Restored! Mar is stunned for a turn as he wakes up. A wooden cart pushed by a team of those bipedal cats rumbles into camp, dropping Andre off on the ground unceremoniously. It seems his wounds have been patched, but he's gonna have a nasty scar. Mar heads out of the zone! Andre attempts to suplex the Tigrex once more! [15 vs 16] He manages to grab ahold of it, but in vain, as he still isn't able to get the mighty beast airborne. The Tigrex seizes Andre in its mighty jaws and shakes him about for [10] damage before tossing him to the side. He hears meowing as his vision fades. . . Status

Ice simply tilted her head at Anemone slightly, indicating that she, too, would like an answer to that question. She steadfastly ignored the god of Envy dying of laughter on the floor before her, though if one was paying attention, they might be able to detect the faintest reddening of her cheeks. . .

Working together, Andre is able to heft Mar to an angle at which he's able to spatter the already-inflicted wounds with a noxious magical toxin. The attack inflicts [0] damage, but the Tigrex is now poisoned! The beast charges a third time, slamming into both of those fighting it for [12] damage each! At this third charge, it does not skid; instead, it comes to a stop, and turns more normally -and more slowly - to face Mar and Andre again. Status:

Being as no one else seemed willing, Hiroki walked up to the keypad and pressed "999999."

"We should meet up with the others next." Mitsu heads toward the temple.

Ice looked at Merlin with an even flatter look than usual. "This mission is based on retrieving a person whose primary offense was using magic in collusion with mech users. You are colluding with a mech user." She glanced at Blink for a moment. "Interaction thus far indicates a familiar relationship. If you are not friends, then I must assume you are lovers." Somewhat belatedly: "Which I do not assume to be the case."

Andre throws a can of odoriferous substance at Mar. Whether from the strength of the smell causing Mar to get upset or some property of the chemicals within, he gains 7 STR for the next two turns. The Tigrex spins about and charges again! It slams into Mar for [9] damage and Andre for [9]. Mar tosses his shuriken at the Tigrex's neck! It bites into the flesh for [14+3] damage! It also scraped along the head, appearing to damage the ridges across the top. Status

Mitsurugi first looks toward the town, then the temple, then at the nearest tower with the lens.

Hiroki summoned her own HUD-like construct, and keyed in the number Prei had gotten. "That number doesn't use the seven, though. . ." She frowned at it for a moment. What if. . . ? She keyed on another short sequence; multiply the number by 7. 142857 * 7 = 999999 "Do you think it's really that simple?" She swiped at the display, flipping it to be more legible to the others in the group.

Ice glanced at Amelia for a moment, her hard glare replaced by a more thoughtful look - again, not that it was particularly easy to tell with her stoic expressions. The powerful mech - she moved faster than the blink of an eye - the references to incidents in Envy, and to the god of Sloth. . . "Merlin. Two questions. One, are we going to release the boy and any others we find, and two, why do you appear to be friends with the god of Envy?"

Ice would have continued the pointed staredown if she hadn't been more concerned about watching for approaching threats - though it was still prudent to watch the largest one known, which Amelia still constituted, and thusly still drew the glare when her visual sweep happened to pass her by again. She also held onto the icicle for a moment longer before deciding it wasn't doing much good floating there. She had already decided that this Amelia was not an individual she liked, despite Merlin's apparent friendliness. The stranger had, after all, literally put her hand inside Merlin's head, a process that looked excruciatingly painful. Maybe she still spent a bit longer than strictly necessary glaring at Amelia when it came to her turn to be watched. . .

Ice had conjured a decently sized spear of her namesake hovering in the air just over her shoulder, letting her previous conjurations fade away (in part out of startlement at Amelia's simply warping past all of the obstacles they'd set up for her.) She continued to hold it there warily, aimed at Amelia, while Merlin. . . had a pleasant chat with her? The situation was incredibly confusing, to say the least. Amelia seemed suddenly non-hostile for the moment, but that didn't mean that she was worthy of being trusted at this moment in time. She simply fixed the woman with a hard stare - not that it was noticeably different from her normal expression for those unfamiliar with Ice - while waiting for further instructions.

[16 vs 19] Andre grabs the Tigrex and wrenches its head about a bit for [9] damage, but isn't able to get a firm hold of it before its charge bowls him over. The Tigrex charges forward, powerful limbs carrying it forward in a manner reminiscent of an incredibly irritable freight train, crashing into and over Andre for [11] damage. Mar arrives on-scene! The Tigrex fixes him with yellow eyes, before skidding about and preparing to charge again! Status

Mitsu climbs into one of the devices, and attempts to ascertain their various functions.

Mar stores a Jaggi Hide and a Jaggi Bone in the camp; the rest of the parts were a bit small to utilize. He obtains an Aquaglow Jewel and Iron Ore x2. He also obtains Honey x3 from the beehive. He heads back to the Steps, as that is the only path out of the camp, in search of the roaring. Andre heads toward the noise, heading south into the forest. There's a thick carpet of vines running between a few flat areas of rock, which also have more natural ramps up to their tops; there's also two mats of vines that look sturdy enough to be climbed. However, the trees remain relatively sparse for a bit, and clear out to leave room for a miniature canyon-like formation further back, with a path leading through a cleft in the rock. Past that, the woods thicken, though there's what looks like some kind of nest piled with old bones among other things. However, he also spots something a bit more interesting. . . An orange and blue striped beast, on four legs with its front ones carrying the webbing of wings, charges out of the brush, straight at Andre. He manages to avoid the initial attack, and it spins about to face him again. It glares at him, and then raises itself up on its front legs. Its ribcage inflates for a moment before compressing violently as the beast let out an earsplitting roar, one that seemed to physically slam into Andre. Mar can hear this roar as well, from where he is.
