  1. "How unfortunate..." he responded, rather unflappably. She is quite stealthy, isn't she? "I suppose that was to be expected. It does leave me with no way to meet up with the rest of the group, though, unless you've established contact with them." A definite note of frustration entered his typically even tone at this, though it quickly faded. "We should also likely find a more secure location than this to discuss matters of import. . . or, at the very least, less exposed than the midst of the street." I wonder. . . I do need to obtain some assistance, but she seems to be some sort of animal empath. She might take offense. He nodded toward the road ahead. "At minimum we should keep moving. An observer following is easier to track than one standing still."
  2. Hoshiko waited a few moments in silence, until she deemed that letting it build further would interfere with her shot. She loosed two arrows in quick succession at the gemstone, the second for good measure, before responding with a nod toward Luka. "I do. They didn't deserve this."
  3. Hoshiko nodded resolutely, walking outside and turning on her heel once she was properly outside the damned structure. She kept her arrow loose on the string, awaiting the completion of the other preparations.
  4. Hoshiko leapt backward, nocking an arrow and aiming it first at the zombie, and then at the crystal that had created it. "W-what is even happening here!?"
  5. Hoshiko retched a bit at the sight. It was one thing to see bodies littering a battlefield, or even shambling toward you in a mockery of life. It was another to see this viciousness, now that the heat and furor of battle had faded. Still, she steeled herself, and forced herself to walk further into the desecrated building. "What is that...? Some relic of the Goddess, or something... fouler?"
  6. "Hah! A dragon is nothing to the Fiery Goddess! Go back to where the rest of you overblown lizards came from. TAKE THIS! FOR GREAT JUSTICE!" With a shout, Hoshiko ran forward and loosed an arrow at the robed figure. H4, SMITE YE MAGE WITH ALL THE POWER AND FURY OF THE GODDESS
  7. "You're the fool here, for you know not who you stand against! You face Hoshiko the Righteous, chosen hero of the Fiery Goddess, and my arrows will pierce your soul on this day! Come at me, if you dare." F4, Overwatch while striking a heroic pose
  8. Gabriel cursed quietly to himself at the time outside. I shouldn't have stayed so long; I compromised our meeting time. He began to look about, walking at a measured pace as to not draw excessive attention and asking passerby if they'd seen the large metal man. It couldn't have been that difficult to find the man; he wasn't exactly the type to blend with the crowd.
  9. Haruki just sort of casually stood up after a while, his attempts at irritating the others in the fight going largely unnoticed. He put his hands together behind his back and leaned forward slightly as he watched the battle, staying in his corner while the rest beat each other up. After a moment or two of this, he had an idea. He began focusing on the air around him, tinkering with how light was passing through it. He stuck his tongue out of the side of his mouth again as he concentrated. The space around him shimmered a bit for a moment, and it seemed like the boy was growing closer - or larger - without actually moving, at least from the perspective of the people on the field.
  10. suddenly klaren is found dead with shards of a healing staff embedded in his skull
  11. Hoshiko had her eyes set on the mysterious figure ahead. Surely, whoever it was, was the cause of this. F9
  12. "yknow what would be fun? if the enemies spammed dodges and instakills"

    1. Zetaark

Such a fun time. Especially when debuff remover gets offed.

    2. Absol-lutelty awesome!
  13. Anyone who's still out and about, feel free to meet up with Gabriel. Though iirc he agreed to meet with Jorgen, idr what he's doing at the moment.
  14. Oh, that's just great, just fucking fantastic. . . I can't even. . .! No what the fuck this is not the time to think about that. Okay. Well, you did do something helpful, I guess. Possibly stopped people from dying. That's good. Grab that. Alright, focus. "Um, I ran across a few magical people, I guess, but I don't think I ran into anyone like you." There was a hint of a questioning tone at the end of her sentence; collective entities were always a little odd to speak to and about. You're you, but not-you... maybe I was being a little hard on the confusing one? "If I tell a different personality about meeting one will you know? And... yeah, that does make me feel a little better."
  15. Fuck. I don't have time to think of everything, I need to figure out what I need to figure out, shitshitshit goddamnit why is this happening - focus for a moment, you can freak out and cry later - "Uhm, okay, I guess, what just happened to me and what does it mean? And like, how do ghosts even work? A-am I really dead? I'm sorry, it's just..." She forced herself to stop talking for her own benefit. This is what you get for thinking all that shit, you knew your life was just fine...
  16. oh my god this is all just so fucking insane and i'm scared and have no idea what the hell is going on and i might be dead so you know what? fuck it, just keep going along with it. Arturia, through a rapidly thickening fog of anxiety, did as Trick instructed. She tried to imagine her as somebody more, well, coherent? Reasonable? Someone that it wouldn't be even more mentally exhausting to try and understand. At least that's what I think 'be a different me' means. Hopefully. I'm already goddamn sick of magic.
  17. Gabriel breathed an audible sigh of relief despite the rather lukewarm answer. "There is no need to apologize; I consider myself fortunate that you didn't go for some sort of sharp implement." He laughed ruefully once or twice, shaking his head slightly. "Still, it seems that you at least have some sort of idea, which does make me hopeful. I wasn't lying when I said I have researched healing magic in the manner I described, in the eventual hope that I would find a way to modify a bodily template in such a way that the changes would persist after the enchantment was removed. I haven't had access to prolonged time to study, however, I am sure you understand." Gabriel continued to cast about, ready to assume his childish persona immediately upon someone approaching. "I would continue to discuss this, but sadly I am actually here for other tasks. Once they are dealt with, I will seek you out, if that is acceptable to you of course. I must be going soon." He offered a polite bow to the demon, and started to leave. "Oh, and as I alluded to previously, do seek me or my 'father' out if you run across anyone particularly suspicious, and try to avoid being left alone. Suffice to say that the city may not be as safe as one may believe." If Lerodoch didn't say anything necessitating a response, Gabriel would leave, and begin the process of locating Jorgen and hopefully meeting up with the rest of the party.
  18. i mean, you haven't made yourself a capacitor, I thought that was clear. a quick search doesn't bring up much on nerves specifically, but gray matter is much, much less conductive than steel, so I would estimate nerves as being less so as well. Furthermore, you haven't just affected your nerves; your entire body is more conductive.
