  1. I can tell you right now, since he's partially based on Archer. (I also briefly discussed this with Lexi earlier on the server.) He encountered the NP during his lifetime and modified it to suit his purposes (like Hector with Durandal/Durindana, or Archer with Caladbolg.) His skills look similar to Cu's because 1. he models his fighting styles on those of existing legendary heroes and 2. they had the same teacher. (This is the main point of his character where I'm worried about Sueishness, but it's not -completely- unreasonable since Scathach is more than likely still alive and kicking somewhere.) Much like Archer, his lack of backstory is part of what makes him even with other Servants - as someone who was simply a regular human in life, he has low parameters and a weak NP, he needs to take all the advantages he can get. (Before you get after me about B-rank Agility, Sasaki Kojirou had A+ rank and he didn't even exist.) Overall, he's also got a larger number of lesser weaknesses due to deliberately tying himself to multiple legends (so far Oliver, Cu Chulainn/Scathach, and Hector). If you've got any more questions, please ask them.
  2. I can just move that down to personal skills, anyway. As for the Counter Guardian bit, he's a guy who intentionally followed the footsteps of legendary heroes, but he's still fairly weak by Servant standards. Not trying to power game, just a thing I wanted to try.
  3. Heavensea's ears were laid back ever so slightly during the woman's speech, the only outward sign of her irritation. She wasn't particularly fond of being talked down to as if she was a child, though she had to admit herself and her partner weren't exactly the spitting image of combat efficacy. The Michi glanced over at Symphony during the speech - she seemed to be happy, though whether she was actually paying attention to the Captain was another question entirely. The other Michi caught her attention when she spoke. Heavensea looked over her - the woman introduced herself as Blackseed - with a mixture of mistrust and pity. While Heavensea's family had moved to Terra before she was old enough to remember anything about her homeworld, the news about PANTHER had resonated throughout the Michi community. She supposed it was only natural to find the remnants of that unnatural project here, not that it made her any more comfortable. Her musings about Blackseed were interrupted, however, when Symphony jumped up onto the table and began her own introduction. It wasn't exactly an unexpected move from the Nienian girl, but regardless a faint blush showed on the normally stoic catgirl's face. She was not, however, anticipating the flying hug, which caused the blush to go from "slight tinge" to "bright red." The action itself nearly knocked her over, though she still caught Symphony and returned the hug before mostly disengaging from the robot girl, leaving one arm around her shoulder. "Ah... um, yes, as my partner said, my name is Heavensea. I am proficient in close combat with a variety of martial arts, both armed and unarmed, and I believe I am a fair marksman. I pilot the ANGEL of Sol Sourire." Though her face remained mostly unreadable except for the fading blush, her ears once again betrayed her true feelings; they were noticeably laid back. "I hope we can work together effectively." She drew her other arm back to herself for a polite bow towards the captain, placing her hands together. She accepted the beer from the Michi serving girl, but only took a sip before setting it back down on the table, a faint expression of distaste on her face.
  4. Regent, Time: 1st of the Year of Rebirth, around noon The wyven wandered off, the brief excitement caused by the confrontation with the skeleton and the illithid rapidly giving way to boredom. He stopped once or twice to harass a stray soldier, but there was no real sport in it. The intelligent ones either stayed away from him or knew that he wouldn't harm them more than a bit of bruising from being knocked over, and the stupid ones were no challenge at all to catch. As a result, Regent's meanderings went about in a desultory manner, the sharp look of the predator that had been present previously being replaced with the dull stare of an animal kept in a cage for far too long. The only bright point in his day occurred when he moved to the large dining room for his lunch and discovered they had, in fact, hauled in a live animal for him to personally disembowel, which he did with great gusto. The display seemed to bother a few of the other guests slightly, but not much - after all, most of the denizens here were similar creatures to Regent himself.
  5. I. . . didn't like it all that much. Blatant Space Nazis with no attempts to hide it, not very many nods to the EU, and Kylo Ren stopped being an effective villain like 1/3 of the way through the movie. Plus lots of stuff that's just flatly impossible (random stormtrooper beating trained sith knight in lightsaber duel what) or just a rehash of the old stuff.
  6. Lancer Noriko blasted wind at Ashnard again, using him as a springboard indirectly. She aimed to take him across where she assumed Vixen's line of sight to be by moving that way herself, and as she flew her four spears lined themselves up at her feet as she held herself perfectly straight, the air flowing across her as smoothly as possible. She bent downward, as if getting ready to jump, then kicked off, blasting all of them at the werewolf in an effort to slow his motion and make him an easier target. The blowback sent her flipping through the air at an even faster speed than she had been flying before, and she tucked in her arms and legs to prepare to spring off another obstacle as soon as the time was right.
  7. Nagi and Kindle Hikaru took a deep breath and reverted back to their human form. They walked forward and placed a hand on Kindle's shoulder in an attempt to comfort the poor girl, unsure of how close she'd actually allow Hikaru to get. "It's alright. This. . . happens sometimes. I hate it but right now it's just a fact of this world." Hikaru looked down for a moment. Regardless of what they just said, nothing would ever make watching another person die any less impactful than the first time they'd seen it happen. They spoke to Nagi after a moment of silence, without turning to face the woman. "They call themselves Peacekeepers. Maybe they actually did that once." Hikaru looked at the assassin directly. "I've had my suspicions for months about them. Nothing solid, just a feeling of being watched. I'd turn a corner feeling sure that there was somebody there but no one ever showed - at least, not that I could find. They're the closest things there are to mage hunters. I guess I should have seen something like this coming." The voice of the Protector was still dull, still trying to deal with what had just happened in front of them.
  8. Vixen The huntress's thoughts weren't entirely inaccurate. As she approached the source of the signal, Vixen was once again assailed from the top of a building - but this time in a decidedly different fashion. "HO THERE!" a shout rang out, and was quickly followed by a cloud of dust and the sound of cracking pavement. When the dust cleared, a magus clad in the armor of a samurai colored an electric teal stood in front of Vixen. The helm had a mask fixed in a grotesque snarl, and a "mane" that looked like it was taken from some great beast to add to its intimidating profile. He hefted a bulky-looking blade over one shoulder "Halt, stranger, for you have entered my domain!" He jumped backward, a cape of the same color as his armor fluttering dramatically in the draft. "Do not speak any words to me, for we shall exchange our thoughts through our blades!" His voice sounded like a character out of some anime, pompous and bombastic. He stood with his sword leveled at Vixen, arm straight outstretched with his body lined up with it. He also seemed to be unaware that Vixen did not, in fact, have a blade to cross with him.
  9. If there was a Holy Grail War where the local Fate nerds were Servants and/or Masters, what would it be like? Who would be paired with who? Would we be our own Heroic Spirits or just knockoffs of our favorites? Which class would each person be?
  10. The CW forum isn't "pretty much about fanfiction," fyi. Most of it is poetry or original stories. Also, Kyuubey. OT: I suppose I've pretty much written Fate fanfiction already, but I'd go with that series since it's pretty easy to mess with.
  11. I don't really have any phobias, unless not wanting to eat unfamiliar foods counts.
  12. Haruki's eyes widened more than slightly at the display. He almost got upset about being called a pervert again, but any objection he may have raised was quickly cut off by the display of power. "Wooah. . ." he exhaled once Kiyoko settled back to the ground. "That was really cool." Wow, that could probably really hurt someone. I guess if that's what we're doing, it's a good thing. "I guess Makoto-chan left to go do their own thing but we can still decide what we should do. I mean we should probably go for Sousai so we don't have people that can track our every move trying to murder us and stuff but everyone seems really nasty. Especially that Kenbi, I really really really can't stand people like that, like it's really bad what they do. What do you think?"
  13. Yuuki woke to the sounds of the two that had already awoken, his eyes flickering open. His re-entry to the waking world was greeted with a dull ache all over his body, prompting a groan of pain. He took a deep breath, causing the dull pain he was feeling to spike on the right side of his chest. Lovely, he thought. Hopefully it's just bruised. The scholar heaved himself upward into a sitting position, looking himself over for further injury. A quick inspection revealed a few other, less severe bruises, but nothing worth immediate concern. He looked around at his surroundings. Seeing Nikki caused him to finally process the question she had asked. "I . . . have no idea," he answered in a faintly bewildered tone. Yuuki didn't like this; not only for the obvious reasons, but the inexplicable things that had seemingly led up to this event. "Judging by the way the ship was destroyed, a missile strike or powerful Pokemon attack seems to be the culprit, but this place doesn't match anywhere I've seen or read about."

  15. Vixen After this initial confrontation, most of the people on Vixen's list flat out avoided her. They'd been scared into hiding by the burst of energy, like deer scattering at the sound of a gunshot. Experienced tracker that she was, Vixen would probably be able to hunt down one of them; Loners, particularly experienced ones, were good at hiding, but nobody was perfect and she had the benefit of effectively knowing them for a significant period of time. There was one, however, who virtually advertised himself like a beacon. Her borrowed memories told her that she would be able to get reliable information from him, certainly, but he was a bit. . . eccentric. Nagi and Kindle The scythe fell on an already-broken guard, effortlessly cleaving the one who had once fought for justice apart. The space immediately around him seemed to. . . fold, for a brief instant as the blow landed. As the cut progressed, Faust seemed to literally turn to lightning rather than splitting in gore, lurid streams of electricity that seemed to be attempting to hold themselves together before the red metal split them finally. This transformation started at the cut and progressed outward, reaching the tips of his fingertips before the energy blasted outward in all directions, leaving no remains of the mage. Everyone in Hikaru's pocket of space felt a confused mass of emotions and memories slam into their psyche, flashes of the mans life jumbled together with one another and the feelings that accompanied them in an incomprehensible knot, and just as quickly as it started it was over. This wasn't enough to interrupt Nagi's attack, however, and the hit connected solidly, dealing enough damage to drive all the wind from the man's body and then some. He was resilient enough that it wasn't lethal, but the punch took whatever fight was left in him out, and after a few moments he flickered back to his human form. If anyone had been watching, the other gunman had done the same just about as the punch landed. The space faded back to its normal colors, with the only difference from when Kindle and Nagi had arrived being the shattered window and the accompanying shards of glass that littered the floor. Hikaru looked as white as their robes, looking at Kindle with an expression of shock. "I . . . I had hoped. . ." They trailed off, eyes shifting to the spot where Faust had once stood. The two mages with him were both laid out on the floor nearby - neither seemed to be in good enough shape to do much more than moan in pain occasionally. Dexter "That second is. . . a difficult question. The answer to the first is yes, you will be a magical person until the day you die, and you cannot ignore that fact. You may stop seeking out the beasts but the beasts will not stop seeking you. This is without mentioning the contract; you have agreed to protect myself and any other Mediator, with your life if necessary." The "cat" jumped down and walked across to another seat, jumping up and settling where a person would normally sit with his characteristic tail swish. "As for the second. . . the short version is 'likely not.' Many people that accept the contract have nothing to leave behind; as you know, Takeshi was a friendless orphan when I found him, and his case is not unusual. Many others are glad to forget their prior lives, though it might mean hardship. There are some that do manage to maintain a dual life, but this is uncommon; perhaps if one had little expectation from those around them and a surplus of resources with which to maintain a home, it would be possible. . . but I digress." Astros looked at Dexter, a look that would perhaps be described as expectant on his face. "You said that you might have made a decision?"
  16. Hard to say. Superman 64 is too easy, Call of Duty as well. . . so I'll say Fable II. The charm of the first was gone and the story had the most unsatisfying ending ever in an attempt to be tragic. Not to mention the literal worst boss fight ever and the fact that certain weapons were just objectively superior to others despite the game claiming otherwise. It was also really hard to not look super dopey and my character went bald for no reason, which was really lame.
  17. Damn, I kinda just forgot to update this tbh. Might as well move on, really, but I'll keep going with this scene if you want me to.
