Kage almost sighed in relief when Mie didn't acknowledge his near slip. "Dad's an astrophysicist and mom's a rocket engineer. They worked at the Space Center. I guess engineers aren't actually scientists, but they help get lots of research done, so whatever. So they do lots of work with the space program and researching stars and stuff. A lot of it just kinda goes over my head to be totally honest." The Ralts on his shoulder made a small sound, but one that was fairly distinctive and almost unmistakeable. "Hey, it's not that funny. Shut up." He bumped Lucas's perch upward a bit, causing his amusement to turn into slight startlement as he grasped the side of Kage's head for balance.

Shou looked a bit startled at the sudden outpouring of words, prompting a warding gesture from him before he answered. "Uh, okay, in order: I'm a Midchildan native. I've never really been to another world, but I think it would be pretty cool to do so. I guess there should be plenty of chances to do so, especially on a special task force. My family's nothing special, I'm not poor or rich or anything like that. I spent most of my time in a training unit before they scouted me for this. If you want total honesty, I'm very green, as they say, but I'm good with Devices. I'm an Aerial Mage, too, though I still need to practice more complicated maneuvers. Uh, maybe we should figure out each other's specialties? I mean, we're probably going to do that tomorrow, but I enjoy talking about magic." His voice had displayed a hint of irritation at the barrage of questions initially, but it quickly faded to a neutral, almost monotone voice once again.

"It's not like having an accent is a bad thing. The one you're hearing right now is a Mossdeep, Hoenn accent. People tell me it's pretty thick but you can't tell so I don't friggin know." Kage turned around as he moved, changing to walking backwards while still maintaining his direction of travel. "I don't think most people as good with accents as I am, if you don't mind me bragging a bit. It's something you just kinda learn to do when-" His speech hitched for a moment. Shit! First day and I almost let it slip already! "When, uh, you meet lots of people from other regions. My parents are scientists, so I got to talk to all sorts of people."

Lancer Noriko nodded her acquiescence to both of the individuals that had just communicated instructions to her. Looking at the beast hurtling toward her, she grinned. The maneuver had surprised her, but it was a mistake. On the ground, there were a fair number of other magi that could match her mobility, but in the air she was virtually unbeatable. She shaped the very air to her will; it was nearly an extension of her own consciousness, another limb that simply moved with a thought. "Divine Wind! Carry me on this day!" she intoned as angled herself toward her master, then rocketed away with enough force to crack the opposite wall. Her trajectory would take her parallel to him, but not quite to him yet; Vixen needed her opening before she could whisk Janus to safety.

FYI, Mie's accent isn't that heavy (well, it might be, idk, but I wouldn't just assign a characteristic like that), Kage just has excellent hearing and has learned to recognize people by their voices almost exclusively, so he's gotten good at placing accents as a side effect.

Vixen "You can't impress me. I don't care how much you want to brag about how good you are." She took a step forward, moving her enough that the fading light illuminated her features. A scarlet cloak was tied at her neck, billowing large enough that it could envelop her entire frame if she drew it around herself. A plain outfit of a natural-looking green shade was visible beneath the fluttering, somewhat tattered cloth, complimenting the brown of the asymmetrical bracers on her arms. Said arms held a finely worked Western-style bow, held sideways and at half draw already, an arrow to match the one currently fading from Vixen's grasp. Every inch of the wood looked to be covered in engravings, with a few lines separating sections at regular intervals horizontally and vertically. "I don't know what information you need either, but I don't help murderers." There was a slight quaver in her voice, betraying her true confidence. Vixen's assessment was likely correct; it didn't seem like the girl stood much of a chance if they were to come to blows, unless she was hiding something. Dexter "I will be able to locate you as long as you stay within the bounds of the city. It's something most of us can do to an extent, though I'd like to think I am fairly talented at it." The Mediator turned about, heading back in the direction of Takeshi's hideout, his tail swishing like it always did. "Just do me a favor and be careful out there. A young mahou shounen like yourself could get into serious trouble with a lack of reasonable caution." With that, he turned the corner. leaving Dexter to his own devices.

Hi, Welcome to the Reborn's roleplaying forum. I recommend checking out a few of the tutorials that have been stickied, as well as taking a look at the other RPs in the section to see what the expectations and such are in the section. You're not bound by anything other than the rules of the forum, but putting a bit of work into familiarizing yourself with the section will go a long way toward ensuring a successful RP. As for this one in particular, you need quite a bit more information about the setting and scenario before anyone can really tell whether they're interested or not.

"Um, sure." If he had been totally honest, he would have declined, but even he was aware enough to realize the scene he must have made earlier. At the moment, being alone with his device was preferable to company, but as long as these two didn't make excessive amounts of noise they couldn't be that bothersome. Besides, it could be interesting to have a conversational partner other than Caster. "It is Fukui Shou, by the way," he confirmed in a neutral tone. He settled into a cross-legged position after moving a bit Leivinia's left. He could have dangled his legs over the edge, but he wanted to be able to focus on his device. However, he had to admit; the view of the skyline was quite nice from his location, even if it was something he'd seen before.

Interesting choice in music, given the circumstances. Rather fitting, though. And, at least music is preferable to the chaos above the deck. He waved a perfunctory greeting at the other man. . . He followed the impression of the doorway down further into the ship, pulled by curiosity and a simple desire to find a place to sit and write the log of his experiences today.

Kage spoke over his shoulder to Mie, forging another path back out of the hall and more or less randomly choosing a direction to travel in once he exited the building. "So, you're from. . . hmm." Kage paused for a moment, pursing his lips. "Somewhere in Unova? I can never tell exactly where, your accents sound so weird to me. All choppy and stuff, I dunno how to explain it." Briefly, he wondered if his speech sounded just as odd to her. The sounds of his hometown Mossdeep were thick in his words, despite his exposure to a number of different accents due to the careers of his parents.

That's fine. I believe I need posts from Lexi, yourself, and Yagami until I csn move the respective interactions forward. As for the otyers waiting, I'll see what I can do tonight.

You guys are killing me with the sprites @.@ anyway, I use GIMP, then check it on http://minecraft.novaskin.me/resourcepacks#default/textures/entity/steve.png (or alex.png) to make sure it looks right when it actually gets mapped to the model. I've used Miners Need Cool Shoes for the same purpose, but it doesn't support the Alex model.
