  1. 7.5/10 It's interesting, but maybe a bit too small.
  2. "Are we working together? I bet that'd be super fun." His voice sharply contrasted his surroundings (not to mention the topic at hand), not that Haruki cared. "Oh, I'm Kita Haruki, by the way, since Boring Scientist-san didn't say who everyone was. I think your names are nice, too. I wonder why you got them? My name is kind of a mystery, but I think..." The boy continued to ramble on about names, not seeming to be talking to anyone at all after a short time. The constant verbal torrent was something a few might have found endearing, something one would expect from a child. Others... well...
  3. Yuuki pocketed a few more of the gemstones - he assumed they were Spectracite, what else could they be? - before responding to Khan's words. "How do we know we can trust you, anyway? After all, you're quite frankly just a stranger spinning tales of legends, interesting though they may be." While his trainer spoke, Janah relaxed slightly from his combat stance, and took up a position slightly behind Yuuki. "For that matter, why would the authorities do us harm? This all looks rather... off, to say the least, but surely they would listen to an explanation."
  4. "What'd I say? Called on your bluff and now you're just gonna slink off, huh." Kage stepped the rest of the way into the dorm and reached a hand into his pocket, pulling out the key he had been given earlier. He ran his thumb over the number engraved into it, then headed into the building. He paused for a moment before entering the corridors, letting Lucas give him a quick read on the area; he didn't want to look too suspicious by going and feeling around for room number plates. Afterward, he headed down in the direction he believed his room was in, and tried the key in the lock. Kage felt a small burst of elation when the lock turned, letting him into the room.
  5. Haruki flailed a bit as the phone rang, this being enough to upset a precarious balance on the edge of the couch. This in turn resulted in a maladroit tumble to the floor, Haruki landing in an awkward table of table legs and his own slender limbs. After taking a moment to straighten himself out on the floor, he ran a hand over his head and down his hair before getting up, ensuring it was the cheery pink color he preferred. What's that smell. . . ? He pulled himself upward to a sitting position and looked at the ringing phone for a moment. Hopefully this phone call won't be as boring as this place. He tapped a button to answer, and spoke into the device with a cheery tone entirely contrasting his surroundings. "Hello?"
  6. Apologies to anyone whose feelings I've stepped on lately. I've been in a bad mood and I'm not sure why.

  7. After Katsuo indicated he'd be taking the bottom bunk, Shou set his things on the top one and opened his bag up. He withdrew a couple small tools and what looked like a pair of glasses with little telescopes on the lenses. I just need some peace and quiet with Caster here after today. The boy thought about the tour for a moment. The workshop sounds more irritating than it's worth, and is probably busy right now regardless. I'd be willing to bet that no one's visiting the practice field right now, though. He nodded a farewell to his remaining conscious roommate and headed through the hallways and out of the building, pausing occasionally to think of the correct direction to travel in. Along the way, he asked his device to read him the results of the earlier diagnostic, and she acquiesced quietly, with Shou's occasional grunt or nod in response. He was paying more attention to the information he was recieving, so he got within clear earshot of the two already looking over the practice field before he realized they were there. "It looks nice, doesn't it?" Jumping slightly at the unexpected voice, he looked up and saw the two women standing quite close to one another. "Uh, am I interrupting...?"
  8. all these good avatars mang idk where to start
  9. Lancer Noriko made a quick decision to let the previously fired spear dissipate at the cost of some mana. Now wasn't the time to be concerned with efficiency; the beast was still nearly within arm's reach of Janus. She fired herself diagonally on a blast of wind to get another solid angle on the wolfman, a shimmer of blue trailing behind her and materializing into the missing spear. Seeing another mage snatch her Master out of the way startled her to say the least, but not enough to throw off her aim; she placed her hands together in front of herself, her weapons aligning in loose formation in front of them, tips pointed in line with the beast's path. A concussive blast echoed through the mall as she released her power, a gale carrying all four of the spears with deadly force toward her foe. The recoil threw her backward, sending her flipping towards one of the walls. She landed on it feet-first, then shot herself forward once more, cratering the surface behind her with the sheer force of her motion.
  10. @Arkhidon Crop it, maybe, but I immediately thought of you.
  11. Dragon wiped out everyone else, so I soloed Tamamo-no-Mae with Hans.

  12. I'm also gonna join the "not touching the gacha" club, because Okeanos without Iskandar is plain stupid.
  13. You know, last time I posted some Metallica lyrics here, people seemed shocked at the content.

  14. Thinking of breaking my own rules and changing Noriko's theme to this
  15. Not that snapping it would bother Noriko much. It would be more correct to say that the real Noble Phantasm is "the ability to summon spears," rather than it being the spears themselves.
  16. Lancer Noriko was about to revert to spirit form and join her Master when she sensed a presence suddenly and obviously making itself known, heading directly toward Janus. Wasting no time, she blasted through the air, her rapid transformation completing itself as she flew. "Get down!" she nearly screamed at the magus, knowing that the only servant that would make an approach like that would be Berserker - and what a Berserker it was. Her aerial vantage point gave her a clear view of the oncoming threat - a wolf, but some sort of twisted mockery of the noble beast, this one with a cruelty and malice that one would never find in nature. I never would have thought I would be facing more magical beasts here. Blasted things won't even leave me alone in the afterlife. As she reached the apogee of her flight, her spears coalesced about her, and with a swing of her arm, she grabbed one of them and launched it on an unnatural wind at dizzying speed toward Berserker.
  17. Siegfried The magus was having trouble thinking straight, let alone retaining his composure as he walked against the flow of people pouring outward from the entrance to the mall. "Soon," he said aloud in a vain attempt to pacify the beast. Soon you can hunt, and hunt worthy prey, and soon after we can be rid of one another's presence. He had hoped to wait until the mall was surely, entirely clear before he released the beast, but that might be impossible. Instead, he progressed toward the core of the building and watched the tide of humanity fade to a trickle and finally disappear from the entrance he left behind. "Alright, Ashnard. Find your prey, and end it."
