  2. Shou looked about the room for a moment before standing up himself. "My name is Fukui Shou, feel free to simply call me Shou. Um, I am also a member of the AAS, and my Device's name is Hyperion Caster. She appears to be what is essentially a precision firearm when unsealed." The boy held up his left wrist, showing the bracelet. "Good to meet you all, I hope that we have a wonderful time working together." The feminine voice emanated from the sealed Device, sounding like a woman in her late twenties. Shou let the wrist fall back to his side before continuing. "I specialize in long-range shooting and bombardment spells in the Mid-Childan system along with mechanical expertise." After finishing, Shou gave a polite bow and sat back down.
  3. After a particularly irritated Abra (who hadn't stopped to think about the soldier's Dark typing) got his attention, Astal reported to the Hall of Freedom as quickly as possible, electing to fly there himself rather than take a teleportation. He wondered briefly why they were calling him here; they couldn't possibly want his opinions on a matter of government. Perhaps there was rioting to stop? The dragon grinned to himself slightly at the prospect of battle. Reaching the hall doors, he stopped for a moment. He considered a couple options on how to open the doors without mushing any of his faces into them. His legs didn't reach far enough ahead of his massive body and powerful neck, so he would have to do a sort of undignified shuffle and slide into the room. His wings were in a similar situation, though those would result in a similarly goofy-looking backwards hop instead. The Hydreigon eventually settled on what was essentially hipchecking the door open, not thinking to simply wait for someone to open the door for him. He tried to be somewhat gentle, but the doors still opened with a crash as he hurried into the room. Acting as if nothing had occured, he gave his best salute to the council members already gathered. "Sirs, Flight Officer Astal reporting for duty, sirs."

  7. Shou looked around for a moment. The facility looked pretty big, and he couldn't recall ever being in there in his short career with the TSAB, though he had never really done much but train and find reasons to not attend said training. He stretched as best he could in the outfit; the AAS uniform wasn't an article of clothing he wore if it was really possible to avoid doing so, but speaking to the Admiral called for it. The machinist wondered at the others in the room; the other person in the room wearing an AAS uniform, the violet-haired girl, seemed to fit in, but the rest were pretty diverse, including a nun. A nun? What was this about, anyway?
  8. Cool. Lab ends at 4 (3 hours from now) so expect something a bit after that. EDIT: Nevermind, no lab this week hypeeee

  10. "Since the explanation is waiting, shouldn't we move? Lilith and that b-" oh god I basically just called someone I should be worshipping a - "Um, I mean, Layla and Nayru aren't super huge, we could probably carry them out of here or something if we're really in trouble." Underneath the stress of the situation was a sinking feeling of realization. The source of some of the principles she had chosen to dedicate her life to was not only all too real (despite her arguments to the contrary), she was. . . Natalie Opium. One of the few people she legitimately disliked as a person, which was saying something, because she could get along with almost anybody if they ended up in a social situation.
  11. ((Murdoc gestures! The thread shudders and begins to move!)) Ozzy and Dexter The massive, rage-fueled blast left the beast visibly wounded, though not as severely as any of them would have hoped. It had seen the blast coming and warded itself with one fell wing, and the limb attached was pitted and scraped from the blast, another glint of underlying gold showing in the wounds. The wing itself was noticeably torn, but evidently still fully functional as evidenced by the beast's next action; taking off once again in search of easier fare, wind battering the three magi at the scene. Takeshi launched a roiling ball of greenish-teal energy after it, which slammed into the fleeing beast without a noticeable effect as it sped into the sky. The silver-haired warrior fell to one knee after it left, his whole posture reeking of exhaustion. "Damnit, not again," he whispered, possibly not even audible to Dexter and Ozymandias, who were a fair distance away. Vixen The Mediator visibly flinched at the statement that Vixen had killed mediators before. I knew there was something off. A wilder, nothing to keep her in control. "Very well then," he said in an even voice. There was still plenty left to investigate. He had mentioned speaking with the other Mediators in the area, or the mages they were contracted with. Or, she could try to track the beast directly, though tracing something capable of high-speed flight could be difficult beyond measure. Staying here wouldn't get anything accomplished, though. Kindle, Nagi Hikaru's hostile posture seemed to diffuse slightly, though they still appeared decidedly on edge. "A dialogue? I will speak with you, but I will simply inform you that I can be far more dangerous than you might expect." Their normally gentle face held a hard expression; Hikaru's words did not appear to be a bluff or exaggeration. They moved toward one of the seats in the room and sat in it, then gestured to another. "Sit, please." A glance went in Kindle's direction after the girl's comment. "You know one another?"
  12. "Uh, okay." Arturia had to stop once again to consider what Kallisto - if she was who she claimed she was - had said. "I still haven't decided if I believe you're a deity, but it is clear that you possess at least one ability I don't understand, and it doesn't seem like you have any reason to wish ill upon me in particular. In the interest of time, I'll ask both of my questions at once: what do you mean by 'the school will be under siege,' and what latent powers are you referring to?" She was still quite surprised and anxious about the situation, which showed in her body language. "And, um, if you really are Kallisto, sorry about the whole 'not-believing-you-exist' thing."

  15. I mean, it suits "flying magic sniper" pretty well. Plus, I was torn between this and a close-range bruiser type character, then Acqui told me about hers.

  17. What the hell is going on? Fire, and now I feel all funny. . . "Wait, was that Ancient Kallistle?" She wasn't exactly an expert in the language, but she had picked up a bit in various research projects over her school career and random Internet crawling. "Something about light and fire? Those, are, uh." She stopped, her questions trailing off temporarily. "You called her. . . And she called you. . ." She gestured, pointing back and forth between the two women who were referring to one another as goddesses. "I would think those were, like, code names or something, but. . ." In the back of her mind, Arturia was frustrated at her sudden inability to finish a sentence without trailing off. "I guess I'll start with the most relevant question first. What did you just do?"
