  1. To save Jory the trouble, he had surgery on his shoulder and can only type using his left hand for the moment, which makes updating any RP difficult.
  2. Bungie is nerfing Gjallarhorn and buffing No Land Beyond. This is strangely amusing.

Why they are nerfing the rocket launcher instead of the raids that require the damned thing to pass in the first place is stupidity in the first degree.

  3. You might think you've cut my lifeline, but all you've done is set me free.

  4. I haven't got a lot to say. I'd feel like I was trying to steal the spotlight, and I need to stop doing it consciously or subconsciously, so I'll just say thanks. This community feels more like home than my own house, sometimes.

  6. Sometimes I feel like I've got a target painted on me. Sometimes this makes me sad, and sometimes this makes me angry.

Feeling a mix of both at the moment. I guess this is betrayal?

Ik the feeling... Definitely not a pleasant one. Usually comes with a bit of confusion for me, like idk what to do or where to go. Feel better!

  7. Only one issue; the Grail War isn't a widely-known event at this point. The participants don't get much more than mysterious red tattoos appearing on them somewhere (Command Seals) and a strong pull towards a particular city in Japan. Other than that, you're set.
  8. Faust The rich district offered plenty of vantage points for the Peacekeeper to observe the apartment, especially given the architect's apparent affinity for glass. It might be difficult to get to a rooftop without crossing the line of sight of a security camera, however; the monitoring devices were everywhere. This part of the city might be wealthy, but the rest of it wasn't, and some in the latter category felt the former should "share." Vixen and Bark "Well, there's little point in concealing this information, especially since the rule in this situation is to disseminate it as widely as possible. You might call me a fool for sharing it, but claiming that I wouldn't do so if I truly knew you doesn't strike this Diviner as particularly intelligent, if you'll allow me to be frank." Idhrelic thought for a moment. "As far as your other problem, it concerns us deeply as well. I will tell you that this beast seems to have a strange aversion to Mediators, rather than prioritizing them as many do. A Protector or Peacekeeper may know more. You could try asking the Loners in the area as well; they tend to be. . . eccentric, but some have been around for quite a long time. Now, if you'll excuse me, I really must deliver the message that this location seems to be suitable." He stood up and moved with an unhurried walk towards the door.

  10. Silef ducked down and threw up an arm in a warding gesture, causing a barrier of protective light to form in front of her. She still felt the impact of the barrage in the form of the strain it put on her to maintain the barrier, which dropped as soon as she was sure the last strike fell. The glow about her faded as her eyes returned to their normal green color. She remained in her crouched posture for a moment, regaining her breath, before standing and drawing her more mundane blade.
  11. Nagi and Kindle Nagi The assassin encountered no troubles on her way to the building. The area seemed fairly peaceful; magical beasts even seemed to avoid disturbing it, though that was probably coincidence. Entering the very modern-looking apartment building, she was greeted by a doorman who simply ushered her inside and directed her toward a specific apartment, as if her presence was expected - though he did show a faint look of surprise. Kindle Hikaru greeted the girl with a warm smile. They stood up from one of the couches - it appeared to be leather, or something similar - and walked over to her. "Hi, Kindle. Have you been alright recently? I know it's been a few days, but you seem to be in good shape. Here, help yourself to some-" The Protector cut off for a moment, and there was a definite shift in their posture from welcoming to almost overtly hostile. "Who are you?" The question was directed at the person who was now standing outside the open door, and was clearly a mage by Hikaru's senses. Vixen and Bark "If only it was. Unfortunately, it takes a truly great span for a Mediator to go senile; as you know, we modify our bodies at will, so aging doesn't present the same level of difficulty to us." The not-so-homeless man moved over to a chair and sat down. "What you described is partially accurate and partially incorrect. The tarrasque does not currently exist, but it has existed in the past. It is, in the simplest terms, a magical beast of awesome proportions. It seems to arise every few millenia from a sort of... bubbling, in the energy fields. A large amount of energy - some claim it is the emotion of the world itself, or an act of divinity - gathers in an area. There are a number of warning signs detailed in our mythology, including the apparent jump in the population of both magi and magical beasts in this area." "Most modern depictions of the tarrasque are actually based on the one from our myth; while it is possible it may again take this form, I wouldn't count on it. We believe that it will certainly retain the gigantic size and overall hardiness that it is known for, however." "It's not the strange beast that has been stalking the city, however. That... is a different mystery. I'm afraid we Diviners can tell you little about that." He paused for a moment, shaking his head. "Why did she have to vanish with this kind of timing? Barely months before this awful news comes to light..."
  12. Who the hell just keeps fully prepared hamburgers in their backpack? For that matter, why would one continue to insult this place when someone has clearly been offended? "I think we're all just a bit tired from the travel here and the ensuing frustrations. Perhaps we should simply wait for the good. . . well, he isn't the captain, but the man who is willing to explain this whole confusing situation to us." Yuuki was a bit nervous, and he wasn't sure whether it showed on his face. He wasn't precisely used to the idea of being a mediator, but the task seemed to have fallen to him.

  15. Ozymandias and Dexter The blunt battering attacks didn't seem to faze the unholy creature, but the flame pouring from the end of the mage's weapon certainly did. The creature spun around again with a vicious claw swipe directly at the source of its torment. Meanwhile, Takeshi had finished gathering energy. He dashed towards the beast with an upward strike, his weapon almost scraping against the asphalt as it came in toward the monster. This was the first in a dizzying series of vicious strikes, with the swordsman moving impossibly fast as he turned about to deliver blows at full power from every angle. The tip of his blade seemed to almost blur with the speed at which it moved as it made cut after cut, faintly whistling through the air underneath Takeshi's grunts of effort. He landed a grand total of fourteen strikes before the onslaught ended with Takeshi returning to a (fatigued-looking) guard. The beast, rather than being weakened, unfolded the wings that had been pinned against its body as the twin arms they were attached to slammed to the ground on either side of it, giving it an almost insectile posture. Two horns seemed to lift off of its face, revealing eyes that glowed a sinister violet along with the wings and horns themselves. After a hissing roar to accompany this display, one of the wingarms lashed out viper-quick at Dexter, forcing him to move quickly or be caught by the beast.
  16. "May I suggest a change in subject?" Yuuki volunteered, in an effort to diffuse the tension without stepping on anyone's feelings. "For example, we all seem to be here for the same purpose, but what lead to this coincidence? After all, Arcadia is supposedly the harshest place on the planet, but here we are." He wondered how willing everyone here would be to share their stories. Most didn't seem to be the overly trusting type.
  17. I'll put in the obligatory Cain request, since I would have said Decibel. These are awesome.
  18. Please come check out the Fate/Reborn RP. We're looking for both new and experienced RPers, so if you've never tried it, give it a shot here!
