  1. Seyr stretched his muscles for a moment as he thought on the emperor's request. Belatedly, he realized that the magic that had forced him into his true form had likely left his vocal cords in natural form; after this, he realized this did not, in fact, matter. He wasn't speaking a mortal language, after all. It seemed that the emperor's proposition would take him across the mortal realms in some way. Seyr wasn't entirely sure what it would entail, but it certainly sounded interesting. He regretted leaving his little village, somewhat, but wanderlust had been tugging at his wings already, and with such a small population, there was little left to glean from them after so much time there. With a deep, sibilant tone that was somewhat reminiscent of the voice of his human form, the wyvern answered Zane. "I agree with you, and accept whatever task you choose to give me."
  2. Bobby, Dexter, and Krys Takeshi pouted. "Oh come on. You're not supposed to figure out what the test is right away like that. It ruins the fun. But yeah, that was pretty much the plan. If you can't defend yourself against me - not that I'd go full power on you - then you're not gonna be able to. . ." Takeshi trailed off, an increasingly concerned look on his face. "Anyone else feel that?" Before he could continue, "that" made its presence known, seeming to simply appear behind the group and pinning Krys, who had lagged a bit behind the others, underneath a foreleg ended with cruel talons. The girl didn't have time to react; a transformed mage could have withstood the attack, but a human? She was pierced through. The black beast seemed to glare at the group with unseen eyes before letting out an unnatural hissing roar. Takeshi transformed, and held his blade at the ready. Nagi The Deviant mage found her way to Noriko quickly. She seemed to be engrossed in a conversation with Kouta and a much larger boy with a rough, bulky appearance; Nagi would recognize him as Masaru, one of Noriko's lieutenants. His nose looked like it had been broken at least once, and his build was uncommonly muscular even among the relatively athletic group that was magi. However, the Protector cut it off when she noticed Nagi's approach. "We'll finish this talk later. I've got another task for Nagi here, and you two have jobs to do." The large one sighed and stalked off, brushing past Nagi on his way out of the small conference room. Kouta followed shortly after, though he proceeded in an entirely different direction once he was out of the room; his route took him along Nagi's steps, while Masaru travelled further into the building. "There's a Preserver lieutenant I've been meaning to reach out to, but I can't send any of my people over without them getting turned away or worse once they reach enemy territory. I need you to reach her- well, I think that this person's a woman, but it's harder than you would think to tell- and see if we can set up a meeting in some sort of neutral location." Vixen and Bark As the television babbled in the background, a head poked through the doorway to the room, quickly followed by the rest of a person. He looked dirty and unkempt, as if he hadn't bathed in multiple days. "Oh, hello. I wasn't expecting to find your sort here." The voice and speech pattern didn't seem to fit the appearance at all. "I assumed this room would be empty. I don't suppose you mages are using it as a base? I haven't noticed any signs of it, and after all people do still use this building on occasion."
  3. Yuuki headed to the docks as quickly as possible. He had waited as long as possible in his hotel - a bit below the standards he was used to, but nothing worthy of complaint- wanting to stay in the cold for the shortest amount of time possible. He had a heavy, formal-looking coat for the weather, but that didn't mean he was particularly tolerant to the cutting chill of a Kanto winter. Growing up around ocean currents and volcanic heat tended to do that to a person. As he briskly walked, however, he was barely aware of the cold except to note that it was present. The researcher mentally logged everything he saw, starting today. He would record it later, but Yuuki wanted to ensure he had the words memorized, as to change the tone as little as possible. He noted the presence of a few others that had reached the dock before him. It seemed the ship was still preparing, which was inconvenient; he had hoped they could depart immediately. A woman - it was hard to make out much else, though she certainly seemed prepared for the cold - another who didn't seem bothered by it at all, and a gruff-looking man despite his spectacles that all seemed to be speaking to one of the sailors. Once he reached the dock, he made a small gesture that indicated the other three. "I'm here for the same reason I presume they are." He eyed the boat suspiciously. He wasn't sure if it would have the specs to reach Arcadia; but then, there was really no reliable data on where Arcadia was in the first place.
  4. Weekly soundtrack rotates on Sunday, so drop by and give it a listen before then.

  5. "Mmh? Emperor?" If he had been in his natural form, Seyr's frills would have perked up with curiosity. As it was, he still straightened a bit. "What does the emperor want with me..?" He started toward the portal, but halted for a moment as he belatedly remembered Marienne. Seyr looked back at her, a twinge of protective instinct almost dragging him back toward the human girl. After a moment of hesitation, curiosity won over, and he tore himself away from the village and toward the portal, proceeding through at an almost startlingly quick rate.

  7. "Take the attack and slam it with another Draining Kiss," Kage ordered. From the feedback Lucas gave him, the attack would probably KO the Elgyem. "After that, set up another Calm Mind." He was still mentally assessing the state of the battle and the health of his Pokemon. A few more minutes would have to do for rest; hopefully they didn't try to gang up on him in the meantime.
  8. There's something immensely satisfying about plinking away at a gigantic dragon with a tiny sword until it falls asleep.

  9. Yknow, it'd be perfectly feasible for Felix and Yuuki to know one another.
  10. I think we talked about that at one point, but sorry. I'll have the event come to you.

  19. Seyr glanced back at Marienne for a moment, still watching the boggart out of the corner of his eye. "Why, thank you, Marienne! You're always so nice to me." He took a piece and tore off a small bit, then ate that. It tasted. . . well it was made by a child. But, he appreciated the gesture. "It's good," he said with a smile on his face. "I have to go do something, though. I'll see you in a bit." Bread still in hand, he walked towards the other fey, staring it directly in the eyes. "What is it that you want here?" He almost threatened aloud what he was thinking; a boggart could eat children, yes, and a wyvern could eat boggarts.
  20. Silef released the attack she had been preparing: a flat, expanding cone of flames that she raked over the behemoth's armor. She wasn't overly surprised that he hadn't tried to dodge; it would take a lot of heat to even begin to melt through armor made of stone, and even more for it to have an immediate effect. Instead, she hoped to find a weak point by probing with the wave of fire, or at the very least draw his guard toward her so the other two could do the same. Of course, Dust wasn't a stupid man(?). He likely knew all of this. Most of her energy was being focused within for the moment, as the sorceress prepared herself. . .

  22. i do have one issue with this particular statement and your approach in general. You say that you want people to realize that Pseudo-legends are not the clearly superior options people treat them as (they're not,) but by setting such harsh restrictions on their usage you are basically doing exactly what you are trying to prevent. You're saying that "no, they're too strong, you can't use them" while also saying no they aren't strong.
