  1. Need Dragonite Ore for all my frigging weapons.
  2. Sorry about some of the RPs lately, Monster Hunter is consuming my life.

  3. "Clamp down harder and try to toss Colere away!" Reina was having a difficult time maneuvering with the other Tyrunt attached to her leg, but she tried her best to fulfill the order anyway, yanking at Colere's tail with clenched jaws in an effort to throw the other Tyrunt off of her.
  4. 5/10 Just really not a fan of it, idk.
  5. So I'm around 12 hours in IIRC. I've been using the Gunlance almost exclusively since "shield-shuffle up to monster and shank repeatedly" has worked on pretty much everything other than the Tetsucabra. I tried the Charge Blade a bit to when I got a Rough Edge relic with ~700 Attack.
  6. Just to prep for the next day in the RP: I'm gonna let people go pretty much wherever they want in the city. The Preserver hideout is in the same area of the city that Takeshi and a small number of other Loners and Deviants occupy. Protectors are in another fairly poor, but a bit more densely populated area, and Peacekeepers have two smaller bases located on the edges of the districts that the other two occupy. Each faction maintains a presence of around 40 members each, with the Protectors having slightly more and Loners/Deviants making up another 20 or 30 together. Magical people don't have hideouts in the middle- and upper-class portions of the town due to numerous logistical reasons, but they do patrol these areas. If you want to have an encounter, either PM me or simply mention what you want to do in an IC post (meet a Mediator, mage, look for beasts, whatever).
  7. Pixl "Very well then." They had obviously planned on what they would do should Gavriil accept, as six people transformed and formed a ring around him. They looked a bit nervous, and for good reason - none of them had the opportunity to really practice this before. They all closed their eyes and focused for a few moments without anything happening. Then, Gavriil could feel a strange feeling enveloping his body, not unlike the one he had felt when he healed them. . . Takeshi's place Takeshi gestured at Dexter. "I'll preemptively welcome you to the magical world. As for the other normals here, well, it's still up to you, but I wouldn't trade this life for anything. As for your questions," he said looking now at Krys, "I'd rather only explain once, so I'll wait for Astros to do his thing." He did, however, reach for the remote and flip the TV on and to the local news. The Mediator in cat form looked straight at Dexter. "I will unlock your potential now with an infusion of energy. Every person reacts differently, so this may be unpleasant." His eyes seemed to light up as he stared intently at Dexter, who felt a highly unusual sensation over his entire being. . . (Dexter and Pixl: in your next post, detail how you react. You could have basically nothing happen, you could collapse, you could feel searing pain across your body, pretty much anything.)
  8. "Let it land then give her a nice Bite to remember you by!' The Stomp came down hard on Reina, but it also left the rival Tyrunt within easy range of her powerful jaws. She lunged forward, aiming to get a mouthful of Colere.
  9. I never wanted to hurt anyone. I'm sorry.

      Did something happened Murdoc?

Son, as far as you are concerned, I'm indestructible.

Tell me what this is all about.

  10. "I'm not really sure why people were pulled so strongly there, though it's not unheard of. If you've got the potential then you can sense beasts - especially fresh ones like that, who haven't had time to settle down into real physical form. Every single 'civilian' here has the potential, which is why I wanted to bring everyone here. Well, and I'm sure Astros would love to chat with you too." He said this last sentence while looking over the people there toward the door. "Speaking of, I wonder when he'll get here." Takeshi finished digging in the closet and produced what he had been looking for; of all things, it was a light machine gun. He hefted it in one arm, the weight of the weapon having a clear effect on him as it was rather large for Takeshi's less than bulky frame. "I've been on edge a bit, lately. Everyone's been more pissy than usual; not sure if they just decided they want me gone, or if it's the big critter some of the Mediators keep talking about." He slung the weapon over his shoulders so that the stock hung around his hip, then walked over and flopped onto one of the couches. "As for your last two questions, there's a shower over there, although the heat can be spotty. You can stay here for as long as you like, but the factions don't really appreciate big groups of loners forming."
  11. Pixl (sorry about the wait, I've got a lot on my mind) "You're in Japan, in the headquarters of the Protectors. We rescued you from dying in that field." She paused for a moment. "We have a proposition for you. Rather than holding this against you in some sort of debt, we request that you join our forces. You have something within you that you do not realize. You possess the potential within you to wield magical power in the defense of humanity. I will show you what I mean." The gaggle of teens around her took a few steps back. She flashed white, and a gust of wind seemed to blow through the room as the girl was replaced with a version of herself with two long braids of hair and a sort of white dress with long tails that circled around her. Four spears materialized, floating behind her, and most notably she floated an inch or two off the ground herself. "If you agree to join our cause and follow my leadership, we will unlock this power for you and forgive any debt you may owe us."
  12. "Reina, Stealth Rock! Intercept those boulders!" He wasn't really sure where they were, but Reina was astute enough to break off the rocks behind her with her tail and set them up as barriers in front of herself before they collided. "Since Colere likes to stand on stages so much, shake it up with another Bulldoze!" This time, she put her full strength behind the attack and practically launched herself at the ground, causing the ground to shake and crack even more.
  13. "Well, that's up to a psychologist to answer. Transforming might make you braver if you know what's going on, since someone who's transformed can take a HELL of a lot more punishment than the average human, but it doesn't actually affect your personality. As for the first part, well, didn't your Mediator explain this whole thing to you? Or are you a wilder?" Takeshi noted Bark's firearm. He wasn't a big fan of people with guns being around him at all, especially since he wasn't sure he could react fast enough to transform before a shot landed in him. He stood up for a moment and headed over to a small closet in the corner of the room. "I'm still listening, don't worry," he called to Ozymandias(?) as he shuffled about in it.
  14. Takeshi's expression was one of bemusement as he was quiet for a few moments. "It's nothing too special. It's pretty much an ordinary apartment building, except no one lives there any more. I may or may not have. . . customized. . . the inside a bit." Guiding the group through the streets, Takeshi cut through a number of alleyways and abandoned buildings. At one point, while heading through a cavernous warehouse that had obviously been neglected for a long time, he spoke to the group behind him as he moved. "If you're wondering about why I'm taking this kind of path, it's because I'm trying to not run into any of the factions. I said this was my territory earlier, and for the most part people respect that and leave me alone, but people get all kinds of worked up when beasts rear their heads." The entire way, he idly hummed a few songs to himself, occasionally slipping in a few lyrics. "Windmill, windmill, for the land, turn forever hand in hand." It took about twenty minutes to arrive at their destination. The building matched Takeshi's description fairly accurately. There were a few attempts at graffiti adorning the walls, though they were fairly small. Inside, he flicked a light switch on, revealing his "customization;" he had created a much larger dwelling by knocking down walls and putting up a few crudely-constructed ones in different places. The main area consisted of two sofas and several mattresses strewn about an entertainment center with a few different things haphazardly placed on the shelves, and a cheap television. "It's nothing fancy, but I like it. If you need a place to sleep, pick a mattress or drag one into the other apartments. I'm sure you wanna talk first, though, so fire away." He moved to the end of one of the sofas and sat down, awaiting the questions. *** "Excellent. Since Takeshi has allowed me to use his dwelling for this purpose, may I ask you to follow me there? The reaction to gaining one's powers varies from person to person and is rather unpredictable, so doing this in a safe, secure location is best." The cat's eyes glinted in the moonlight. "Just follow them if you lose track of me." Astros gestured at the group following Takeshi with his tail before heading in the same direction.
  15. Until further notice, signups are now closed to anyone who hasn't posted an app yet. We've got a pretty good number of people at the moment.
  16. Reina was a bit too slow to dodge, and took a few hits from the flying rocks. This clearly irritated her, indicated by a lashing tail. "Send those right back with your own Rock Tomb!" Kage called out the order and it was carried about, the Tyrunt slamming her muscular head into the rocks to send them hurtling at Colere.
  17. Takeshi returned Bark's handshake before he processed how the man had referred to him. "Hey, I'm not scraggly." He said it in an almost pouting tone. "I'm not a kill thief, either; I was here first. I didn't expect magical people to start crawling out of the woodwork like that." Takeshi looked about at the group and returned to a somewhat more businesslike tone. "Anyway, I've got food and shelter at my place. I wanna talk to everyone here, including you, wing guy-" this last was called out in his direction "-and I'm sure a lot of you have questions. I'm Takeshi, by the way. I prefer that over 'Mr. Scraggly.'" He waited for the group to indicate their willingness to follow. (Basically, just make one post if you could. It's hard to keep up atm.) *** "The contract is fairly simple. I provide the service of unlocking your latent potential, and in turn you agree to protect me and any other Mediators in danger to the best of your ability." His tail flicked again. "Don't worry, you'll learn to tell the difference. Takeshi and I have a good working relationship; he will educate you." Astros looked at Dexter intently. "Do you accept the terms of the contract?" *** There was some assorted whispering around Gavriil's bed. He was surrounded by a number of people around his age, though they lacked his rather imposing build. They all quieted down when one girl, possessed of blue hair, blue eyes, and a fierce expression, made a sharp gesture. "I see you're awake," she said matter-of-factly. "How much do you remember about the journey here?"
  18. Can I ask you guys to wait a bit? I need to get to my laptop and crank another update out.
  19. Protectors showed up, Takeshi told them to fuck off and then invited everyone over.
  20. "Just ignore her and Bulldoze this field! Shake that lesser princess off her feet!" Kage shouted encouragement as well as orders to Reina. He didn't really mean to insult Colere or her trainer; he just wanted to play to Reina's sense of superiority. The Tyrunt shook her head at the other dragon's antics, and forcefully slammed the ground herself, shaking the stage and destabilizing a good portion of the field around her.
