  1. True. Pretty much everyone else does though. (it wasn't my plan originally, but i left things open for interpretation)
  2. yay wall of text just FYI, that was a pretty weak beast, which is why Takeshi was able to pulverize it so easily. I promise he isn't godmodded lol. (Though he is significantly more powerful than any one PC at this point due to his greater experience. If you wanted to kill him that badly you'd have to gang up on him, though idk why you'd want to. . .)
  3. (@ Hiss13: please don't just land autoattacks like that. It's not that big of a deal right now, but unless there's a swarm of weak enemies, make your attack and I will determine the result. @Cyaloom: a cat's coat is the color and form of its fur; he isn't wearing an actual coat lol.) "I can tell you're afraid. Don't worry; if we were in any real danger, I would not be here. You're also rather confused, which is quite understandable." The cat's tail flicked back and forth occasionally as he spoke. Looking closely, one could tell that this was no ordinary cat; while the body was indistinguishable from any other, the eyes held an unmistakable light of intelligence not normally found in a feline companion. "To answer your question, no, I did not bring you here. Something deep within you brought you here, something you likely aren't aware of. Something that you might have never learned of if you hadn't chosen to come to this place tonight." That wasn't entirely true; it was possible another would have found him, and they regularly patrolled this area. The cat padded forward and jumped onto the windowsill. He seemed to gesture with his tail toward the beast. "Look back to them for a moment." The transformed girl crashed down with a crushing blow, actually pushing the beast downward into the asphalt slightly. It caused further damage when she used it as a springboard, launching back into the air. The wound from earlier seemed to leak, rather than bleed; while the substance that came from it looked like blood, it floated out and dissipated after a few seconds, vanishing into nothingness. "Do you see the kind of power they wield? Watch my friend Takeshi for a moment; he is about to end the monster's pain." As if on cue, the silver-haired fighter leapt up into the air with another shout, and slammed his blade downward in a brutal slash, bisecting the "beoar" and causing it to roar in pain before it froze, dissolving before the eyes of everyone watching. "You have the potential to become as powerful. I am Astros. My kind is known as the Mediators, and I have the ability to unlock that power through a contract." *** Takeshi's blade disappeared as he returned to a standing position. He flashed white for a moment, and the warrior was replaced by a shorter, much more typical-looking teenager. His hair was fairly long and bleached blonde, and he wore a ragged white hoodie with an abstract, artistic design across the chest. His jeans were in similar condition, with a blown-out knee and several bare patches. His shoes seemed to be in decent condition, though it was hard to tell in that lighting. He clapped his hands together once. "Well, that was fun. You all watching-" he gestured at the people who had been hiding, and the much weaker sensations that had been coming from the people that were more than likely being approached as he spoke by Mediators "- you can come out now. I promise I don't bite, and I can tell that pretty much all of you are new around here in one way or another." He chuckled. "Yeah, even the people that have lived here their whole lives." His cheerful expression changed to a frown for a moment as he sensed a few, more familiar, presences approaching. Three more people approached, already transformed and obviously there for a reason. "Preserver," he said in a sort of icy greeting. "Loner," the one in the center of their formation returned with a similar tone. "I see you're done murdering another beast. Do you really think we'll continue to tolerate your actions?" "Yes," he returned defiantly. "This is my territory and my home, and you had seen that one you would know damn well there was no saving it." The leader, another tall boy with short-cropped brown hair and dressed in what appeared to be ornate steel plate, looked around with a derisive expression. He did note, however, the presence of others. "Fine, then. I recommend staying in your. . . home, however; you never know. The Peacekeepers might misunderstand what you were doing outside your territory." It was fairly apparent that if any "misunderstandings" occurred, it wouldn't be Peacekeepers acting. "Come on. There's nothing left for us to do here." He turned about sharply, revealing a long, but somewhat narrow scarlet cape - or was it a scarf? It was difficult to tell; the light wasn't ideal. Takeshi waited until there was a fair distance between himself and them before turning back to those who had witnessed the battle. "As much as I hate following Haruto's model, we should probably not stick around here. Someone probably called the cops, and we're a pretty shady-looking group. I'm sure you've got questions, so if you want 'em answered you're gonna want to follow me." He started walking toward another alleyway, looking over his shoulder to see if anyone was following.

  8. The beast's roar cut off as it's jaw was abruptly snapped shut with a fierce kick. However, the silence didn't last long, as it retaliated with a fearsome swipe, the bulky leg lifting and swinging toward Bobby. It howled again as a discharge of energy pulled its attention away, whirling to face the new threat. *** Takeshi shook his head as he pulled himself to his feet. Rookie mistake, that was. He shouldn't have let himself get distracted like that. Ah well. He wasn't injured. However, that thing could do some serious damage to the people around. He could sense some more nearby; they probably either couldn't sense him or didn't recognize the feeling, and therefore didn't think he knew they were there. He set himself into a combat stance and called his blade into existence. Shouting a wordless battle cry, he charged forward at the distracted beast and dealt it a severe uppercut, blade flashing at its flank. The impact actually lifted it into the air slightly and sent it skidding a short distance across the ground, dislodging its would-be rider. *** "Terrifying, isn't it?" A voice echoed from inside the building, behind behind Dexter. "Most people would have ran off or called the police by now." The voice's source wasn't clearly lit, but appeared for all the world to be an ordinary house cat, with an unremarkable tabby coat.
  9. "You know, you should really open with admitting you don't know what's going on." Takeshi seemed a bit frustrated, but he controlled it. "Beasts show up when emotional energy pools up in the environment. There's all kinds, but the one coming is a good old-fashioned rage beast. I can't say what exactly it'll look like-" His explanation was abruptly cut off by a massive, orange-brown blur that knocked him cleanly through a nearby building. In his place stood a massive, unnatural creature, easily ten feet tall. It resembled a mixture between a boar and a bear, though it dwarfed either and had a unique coloratiin. It turned to "Ozymandias" and let out a roar.
  10. Kage reached put and returned the handshake firmly. "Agreed." Reina didn't seem nearly as calm as her trainer, however; she paced impatiently, eager to begin. Kage hurried to his side of the field with the Tyrunt in toe, then turned to face his opponent. "Ready when you are," he called out.
  11. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Chuunibyou Also, why is Takeshi getting lumped in with Bobby? D:
  12. Sevonic punched me in the head over this joke...

  13. At least with the gator we didn't think that Nintendo had taken us down. Nintendo does enough nonsensical shit that this isn't too far out of the realm of possibility.
  14. Takeshi gave the approaching fighter a quizzical look. You must be new here. . . or you think you're an anime character. I think I'd prefer the former. "For your information, I don't need to state my business." He gestured at the other man. "I'm not sure how you plan on 'striking me down' with that stance, either." Takeshi suddenly shook his head. "Whatever. I'm here for the same reason you probably are. There's a beast that's going to pop out any time now, and I plan on dealing with it."
  15. As the various gifted people draw closer, a figure watches from a nearby rooftop. It's hard to discern much about him from the ground, given the poor lighting, but if one was close enough they could hear him talking. "What do you think, Astros?" Hearing the voice, it was definitely male, but young-sounding. However, he appeared to be addressing. . . a cat? It was hard to tell. "Certainly a beast." Any listener would have been rather shocked to hear the response. The cat spoke with a mature, deep voice, with a refined air to it. "Is it the one that has you guys all worked up?" "No. Trust me, you would know, Takeshi." Takeshi sighed. "Well. I'd hoped it'd be something as simple as this." He fell silent for a moment, evidently concentrating on something. "I'm getting. . . anger, I think?" "You are correct. Drunken rage, to be precise. One can tell by the general incoherent feeling; it has no real direction, lashing out at whatever is nearby." "Fantastic." Takeshi took a deep breath. "Time to go, I suppose. Feels like it's about to coalesce." Grunting with sudden effort, he leapt off the top of the building. If anyone was watching, they might have seen a flash about halfway down. He thumped to the ground, cracking the pavement. Standing, his full form was revealed. He wore a very unusual-looking black outfit, with dull silver pauldrons showing at the top. A short cape trailed him, with two longer tails and light silver patterns in the center. His outfit was also differentiated with silver lines that matched the sheen of his long hair, reaching down his back with curls that formed almost winglike projections. As if he didn't look unusual enough, his irises glowed a bright, unnatural teal color, and as he rose from his landing his impressive height was revealed. Anyone nearby could plainly see him as he peered into an alleyway, which seemed to be the source of the strange pull some felt.
  16. I will have somewhat limited access to the forums for the next few days. I'll be totally back Saturday night.

  17. You're around. I mentioned the hospital being in the area for that reason. She can still feel the pull; I'm going to say that she should be healthy enough to investigate. @Hiss13: You should be good, let me check one more time. (I knew I forgot something >.>) EDIT: You're approved, as is Yash. (I'm assuming she ran away immediately before the start of the story?)
