  1. Yes, my avatar originally had transparency. Uploading it caused a white fill.
  2. Takeshi nods. "Both. If a Mediator contracts you, they establish a sort of telepathic link. They can communicate with pretty much anyone nearby, but they can get a hold of you from kilometers away. However, you're expected to protect all of them to the best of your ability. It reflects very badly on you if any of them die with you around, and if it happens when you aren't then people will want to know why."
  3. "Heh, this'll be interesting." He pulled Reina's ball from his belt and released her. "A little dragon-on-dragon action, eh? It should be fun." Kage thought for a moment. "By the way, speaking of parents and stuff, mine gave me this." He pulled the Dawn Stone out of his pocket, showing it to Claude. "I really can't decide whether I should use it or not."
  4. A few notes, since I might not have been specific enough in the OP: Your character should be between 12-25, with those being the extreme limits. I'd like a bit more backstory (about a paragraph would be ideal), and specify in your background whether you have been empowered or not. You should be pretty new to it if you are, as in less than a month's experience unless you have a good backstory to explain it. Even then, I'd prefer mostly inexperienced characters for the flow of the RP. @Hiss13: You're supposed to keep it secret from humans. Your Mediator will tell you this, or the other magical people will. If your powers come from a shard then you won't know, but you'll run into others fairly quickly.
  5. "Hard to be a role model for a child when you are one." Even after she left, Veronica continued to irritate Kage. "I wish I could wipe what I'm assuming is an arrogant look off her face, but the reality is I'm not strong enough, and that pisses me off." He sighed. "I don't want to end up pushing my Pokemon too hard for this crap." He slumped to the ground. "Mom and Dad being awkward about the whole dating a guy thing is bad enough, now I've got Elite Four members looking down on me about it?" He shook his head. "I know I shouldn't give a damn about her opinion, and normally I wouldn't, but the last few days have been a bit stressful."
  6. Adding transparency support would be nice. I would like my avatars to not have a rather clashing white background (or give an option to fill background with white/black/default gray if transparency is detected.)
  7. 6/10 Looks cool, but it's a bit too far zoomed out for a forum avatar.
  8. The interest check is the OOC and signup thread now. NOW HIRING MAGICAL PEOPLE

    1. Sutoratosu

      Sutoratosu

      *In a mobster Italian accent*

alright boss... I'll get me an application in pronto

  9. So technically moving to a new location is an important action, but do I have to wait for the next recap to arrive at the plaza?
  10. "Shards'll show up pretty much wherever. The only requirements for their formation are sufficient energy and a physical location for them to coalesce, so they're sort of like beasts. I'm not actually sure what makes one form compared to having a beast show up. As for holding on to them, you can try, but they vanish after they get used up like that. Since they're pretty much energy in solid form, they don't stick around once you expend them totally like that. They're also not very big; when you hear 'piece of glass,' that's about the scale they show up as. If you're careful with them, you can use them to store energy."
  11. Takeshi's expression changes to one of shock as he takes a step back. "Why would you even consider that?!" He shakes his head, trying to adequately answer the question. "Well, the answer is yes, but I have no idea why you would WANT to do that. Mediators don't really do much other than help us out, and they'll do so regardless of your faction. I suppose you could break contract, but it's likely that, depending on what, exactly, you did to break it, you would be attacked on sight by other magical people. Mediators are good at evading conflict but they're actually less physically powerful than the average human; it'd be like killing a child." Takeshi takes a deep breath. "As for the second part, the purpose of the contracts is to ensure the safety of the Mediator. Some of them have added stipulations and benefits to them, but that's usually the main point." Takeshi looks around. "Anyone have a less horrifying question?"
  12. Important Action Blair let out a slight huff of frustration. "Figures." As if she was just 'some random civilian.' She turned to Monika. "I'm going to head to the square." With that, she swung her leg over her bike and took off.
  13. not sure about the rest of your team, but Crustle needs to be running Shell Smash. Period.
  14. Takeshi shrugged. "The Mediators seem to do a good job of keeping stuff quiet - I'm not entire sure how, probably some illusion magic or something - so I don't think so. We might be in trouble if they did, though." Takeshi's expression clearly indicated that he wasn't fond of that idea.
  15. I think Reina (Tyrunt,) since Lucas and al'Thor already made appearances.
  16. "They're all the same faction, but each region is going to have their own differences. In recent years they've become more similar, or so I've been told, because they can communicate more easily using the Internet. And, of course, some places are going to have the inevitable politics, even within groups." Takeshi thinks for a moment. "The biggest regional differences you'll find are with the Preservers, since a lot of their plan involves finding places for beasts to go without bothering humans. They're pretty quiet about themselves, but I don't think Peacekeepers vary a whole lot between regions."
  17. No, lol. To be honest I was flailing for a decent title and that was what I landed on.
  18. Blair hasn't even considered it. That's why she wants access to the Duel Disk (and the Duel Gazer, but one step at a time.) It's the only logical explanation to her barring poison.
  19. Takeshi thinks for a moment, eyes flicking up and to the side. "It's 2015, and it's the first of May. Well, it will be. I won't remember this chat after this is over with. The weather's pretty mild around here, though, so the seasons aren't a huge deal as long as you dress well. Besides, your body and regenerative abilities are a lot stronger than a normal person's, so the heat and cold shouldn't bother you a whole lot."
  20. Takeshi fixes you with a flat look. "Time for you to take this seriously."
