That was this morning, and it wasn't actually a present. The RNG just happened to pop out a hand cannon after like 2 months of auto rifles. Also, I recently unlocked Vault of Glass and hit level 25. Who wants to do some grinding?

Well, even where I live (the town isn't overly large,) the only way my parents know the parents of most of my friends is through what I have told them.

Kage's parents gave polite bows as they were introduced. They looked a tad uncomfortable, but they had earnest smiles on their faces. Kage, however, was caught in a mixture of pleasant surprise and awkwardness. His parents weren't being nearly as clingy as he had expected, but he was a bit overwhelmed by Ryan's family. "Ryan's doing pretty well, I think. He made it to the top 32 in the cup, and we've still got further to go."

Keeping her private thoughts to herself, she gave Iain a formal bow -a curtsy would be rather out of place given she wore her armor- and took a seat as close to Iain as she could, as was her right. Silef moved her gaze over each of the others in the room once again, nearly letting out a sigh. A couple hunters, some commoner with a whip, a few scruffy swordsmen, and some old coot, though that one actually seemed to have a bit of courtesy.

Just fyi, they introduced themselves in Japanese fashion, i.e. surname first.

Kage blushed a bit as well upon hearing the compliment. "Tsukihashi Kageharu, but just call me Kage. Thank you for embarrassing Ryan for me, I've been busy today so I haven't been able to do it myself." He bowed quickly but politely, nearly taking out a passerby as he forgot about the cane in his hand. He would have continued, but Kage heard someone else calling his name. His parents were weaving through the crowd as quickly as they could manage. "Oh, boy, here we go," Kage sighed with a resigned tone. He turned about and braced for impact as his mother appeared through a gap in the crowd and threw herself at him in a hug that nearly sent him tumbling to the ground for a second time. She was a fairly short woman with dark hair and eyes, contrasting Kage's, but her face very clearly resembled her son's. His father was a bit further behind and looked completely breathless, resting his hands on his knees as soon as he laid eyes on Kage. He was a taller man with hair and eyes closer to Kage's. "Hey, Mom." "It's so good to see you, Kageharu! How has school been? You haven't sent us all that many emails, are you doing alright? Who's this charming young man? Oh, forgive me, where are my manners? I'm Tsukihashi Rin, and the exhausted looking man over there is my husband, Katsuo."

I actually thought about making a magic archer too, lol. FYI, Silef is a melee fighter primarily.

The roar sounded again, much closer this time. So close, in fact, that it sounded like it was just over the nearest ridge. . . and it was. The source of the roaring revealed itself to be a large dragon, with dark blue skin and wickedly sharp claws attached to limbs that extended from a powerful body. That wasn't the only threat approaching, however. A mass of juvenile beasts swarmed over the ridge, their harsh cries echoing through the canyon. The Gabites made a beeline for the group, almost tripping over one another in their eagerness to feed, while the Garchomp approached more slowly, fixing an unblinking gaze on the party.

Posted my character. For the armor, think sort of stereotypical fantasy armor with the wildly impractical shoulder attachments. (Not the literal breastplate though, those are a whole 'nother order of stupid.)

reserved Name : Silef Asterlux Gender : Female Age : 19 Physical Appearance: Angular facial structure with high cheekbones (think Warcraft elves). Medium-length blonde hair and bright green eyes. Slightly on the tall side. She has a lithe and agile build. Character Backstory: Scion of a small but proud noble house, Silefwen worked from day one to develop the ability that had made her family's fortune in decades past. She was raised with all the privileges that the firstborn heir would expect, alongside the rigor of her training. However, her entitled life was not to last. Being that the family was primarily known for their hereditary magic of light manipulation, they were a prime target for the vampires of Eiru. The Lunamancer simply gave them the opportunity to strike. Their countryside estate was destroyed, the family nearly exterminated, with Silef only surviving because her guards gave their lives to allow it. She travels, searching for a way to destroy the creatures and return her house to its former glory. Character Abilities: Silef is talented in the manipulation of light in combat, using it to create solid objects such as blades or barriers. She can also attack using beams of light to burn foes. Silef has a lot of practice and training in moving about the battlefield and is highly mobile. Being left-handed also confers an advantage against some foes. However, much like any wizard or sorcerer, using her power causes a fair amount of fatigue, and she focuses on avoiding rather than enduring hits, which her armor is not particularly effective at blocking. Current Belongings: A finely worked set of armor taken from the family estate with the accompanying helmet, a set of once-fine riding clothes, and a dress that hasn't been worn since her home burned, as well as a few coins. The armor is intricately worked and almost appears to be more ceremonial than functional, as many portions of it are decorated with silver. It covers the chest, wrists, shoulders, feet, and shins. Reason for joining: Seeking vengeance, wealth, and glory to restore her family's name.
