  1. Kage was exhausted after the day's events. The obstacle course hadn't been a huge issue for him, especially since one of his pokemon was capable of floating above the ground and the other was small and light. However, he had woken up far too early, and as a result he quickly made his way back to the dorms and collapsed on the couch. Unbeknownst to him, he hadn't made his way into his own room, but Ryan's.
  2. it can be worked around Besides, he can always go back to his own dorm. So, did he get there on his own or did Ryan bring him there?
  3. also, if Kage winds up in a serious battle, this is the theme not going to loop this one because it loops pretty well on its own
  4. "Well, that's good to know," Matrim said caustically, his normally jovial manner spoiled by the childishness of Aaron - or whoever that was.
  5. Just for the hell of it, how about we say that Kage crashed in Ryan's room? His sleep cycle is a bit screwy so 8 PM is like 1 AM for him atm.
  6. it's not a sword, it's a key, and when you stick it in someone it unlocks their death
  7. I don't think it was DarkLight's PC getting involved, it was the battle concluding without any further input from Jory.
  8. Jory is in the right here, and there's no two ways about it. He shouldn't have started cussing people out, but ending the battle without even giving him a chance to react is completely unacceptable.
  9. As we've been having some issues with it lately, I've decided that it couldn't hurt to go over some of the basic guidelines one should follow when interacting with one another in this forum. EDIT: I'll be updating this thread and removing the other rules thread. 1. Respect the host. The host came up with the world. Ultimately, their word is law. It's completely unacceptable to disrespect the host of a roleplay you're involved in; without it, the game wouldn't happen. If you have a major issue, bring it up CALMLY via private message. 2. Respect other players. Pretty similarly to the host, this would be entirely pointless without the other players. If you've got an issue with another player's action, again, discuss it without hostility via PM, or, failing that, with the host or the resident section moderator. (i.e. Hukuna.) Cursing at another player outside of casual conversation is unacceptable and rarely leads to anything productive. 3. Be aware that other players have plans. If you do something that affects another character in a significant way, ALWAYS discuss it in the OOC thread or via PM first. I've noticed a few RPers (that I will not name) do not stop to consider this, and this ends up being extremely frustrating for the affected player(s). If two PCs are interacting, leave room for them to do so. Tying into this, 4. Big changes need arbitration. If you ever do something that would significantly change the course of the story's development or the development of another player's character, you absolutely NEED to discuss it with the host or the other player first. This also applies to unusual circumstances in a character's backstory. 5. Strive for quality. This might seem like a recommendation rather than a rule, but consistently writing extremely short or low-quality posts isn't going to win any friends. It's possible (and quite likely) to get kicked. This is also a matter of respect; poor quality posts can indicate that you don't particularly care about the people you're RPing with. 6. Follow the global rules. This should go without saying.
  10. but no one did anything except for ONE GUY demolishing the entire airstrip (which is almost enough to make Nathan cry)
  11. Matrim was nearing the end of his considerable patience. "Aaron, you damn blind fool, don't act like a child!" He angrily drew the axe hanging at his belt and shook it at the other man, the blade bobbing inches away from Aaron's face. "If you would stop lashing out at the slightest provocation, we could explain things, but instead you give potential allies death threats! As if there hasn't been enough death already! This toad somehow took ordinary weapons and transformed them into works of art, like this." Realizing he was a sneeze away from removing Aaron's nose, he took a step back, though he continued to gesture with the weapon. "This toad may well have done the same thing with the Keys, somehow, though I know nothing of the nature of either. However, incinerating the one being we know of that does won't solve that problem!" Matrim turned about, speaking to the heavens aloud. "Why would you entrust this kind of power to someone like this? Surely, there is someone better. . ." The bard returned his direct attention to Aaron. "Do you really think that magic is the only way to seal a bond? Do you know nothing of honor, of loyalty? Who knows what promises this toad has made, and to whom?"
  12. slade is cool tho, it is the only material in the game that can resist the swing of a pickaxe without modding and if you somehow get weapons made of it the things can cut adamantine
  13. Kage had been idly petting the hardened metal surface of his new Beldum, sitting on the ground, when he heard a shriek from a fair distance away. "Did you hear that?" he asked Ryan and Redwood. "I'm going to go see what's going on," he declared. Without waiting for the professor to stop him, he started toward the source of the scream at a quick pace.
  14. why do I see a fistfight happening when Kage inevitably hits on Henry?
  15. -as Notus said, Crunch > Dark Pulse. If this is a doubles team, drop Dragon Dance because setup is not very good in that meta. -Lapras's set is terrible, no two ways about it. Lapras is a defensive 'mon and you have redundant coverage on it. Shell Bell is unreliable; Leftovers is far superior. Drop Freeze Dry because you already have Thunderbolt. -Smeargle should use a Focus Sash because it will die to pretty much every non-Ghost attack in one shot. Spore is better than Dark Void because it has 10% greater accuracy. Knock Off, U-Turn, and other supportive attacks are options that prevent you from getting Taunted and being useless. -Emolga seems pretty good, but if you could squeeze some recovery in there it would be good. I'm not sure if this is a singles or doubles team tbh. -Gardevoir looks alright will come back later, possibly
