  1. "I panicked. Taylor was already traveling with you, and I thought that if he told you that some person named Marcus was evil, you wouldn't let me come with you." He slowly came closer to Rose.
  2. Inner focus. Inner fucking focus. What the hell, Gamefreak? It already had Steadfast, which is basically the same thing but better.
  3. Marcus shrugged. "It's my word against his, I guess. Believe what you choose. I only lied to avoid having to travel through hell alone."
  4. Matrim made a placating gesture. "Relax, young man, no one accused you of anything. It's a joke. People have been known to make those, you know." He strummed the guitar a couple times, wincing. The bard set to work tuning the instrument for a short time, then cleared his throat. "I don't know how fitting the song is, but I believe it has a suitable tone. It's about an old legend I heard once."
  5. Shit. "Yes, I lied. I didn't think that I would be allowed to travel with you if I told you that my name was, indeed, Marcus. I don't know anything about the old man other than that he seems to bear me ill will for some reason, however."
  6. Ace flitted after the pair, also heading toward the noise. He arrived just in time to hear the Timburr's remark. "You think something's funny here?" he asked aggressively.
  7. Anyone interested in another one? Otherwise, I might have to call this dead due to lack of interest.
  8. Matrim offered his opinion. "I don't know, lad. It seems like a being such as Rossephus would be a bit more crafty than that. I wouldn't keep these things around for long." He returned to inside the house after he ran out to see what the commotion was. The bard rummaged around for a bit, then came out with Ko'luki's guitar. "Did anyone have a song in mind?"
  9. . . . and the part explodes into gore!

  10. Well, looking at most of my current party and Battle Box in X: (japanese moon runes) - Rayquaza An unnicknamed Volcarona A yet-unnicknamed Absol Remus - Mightyena Selucia - Salamence RAWRCHOMP - guess Seraph - Volcarona al'Thor - Metagross Nameless Umbreon Recon - Scizor Hydrigaia - Hydreigon (couldn't think of anything) Davion - Dragonite (Think DotA.)
  11. Nathan stood up. "I'll take you up on that offer. Crusader needs to be whipped into shape. We can't do this in the barracks, though, so where did you have in mind?" He was simply glad to get out of there. There was only one thing worse about being kept from drinking; having to watch other people drink.
  12. Im waking up, I feel it in my bones

Bob, there is a place in music hell that you belong in for interrupting a chorus.

  13. I'm hungry. REALLY hungry. Marcus looked at the dead ratmen. Not quite that hungry yet, though, he decided. He wandered off in search of a meal.
  14. Matrim stared at the pot in a mixture of horror, sorrow, and anger. "We should bury him. It's bad enough what happened to Rodriguez, we shouldn't leave him without his eternal rest."
  15. "Yeah, I'm cool, I'm cool." The bird shook himself violently, trying to clear his head. "Can we stop trying to murder each other, though?"
  16. "A little help over here!" Ace called out. The Taillow had been backed into a corner by the Natu, who was significantly stronger. It projected a frightening mirage at him, draining his strength.
  17. The stronger the person, the more strength he can absorb, so he wouldn't be getting a whole lot out of the starving souls.
  18. "I think it's a bit late for that," Sarcus called as he let an acolyte drop to the ground. "Follow me, I found a quick route to the central control room." He started at a brisk walk down a fairly plain hallway with a staircase at the end.
  19. Marcus felt a thrill of fear, a blast of primal anxiety as energy flowed from the fallen soul into him. He almost fled from the approaching souls, but his desire to gain more energy overpowered him. One of them leapt at him as the others drew closer, and it bore him to the ground. The practiced killer quickly rolled to get above it, and drove a blade into its heart. Another rush of energy overtook him, and he stood eagerly, ready to consume more power.
