  1. "Yeah, one sec." Ace took off and started circling above them as he surveyed their surroundings. "Yeah, it's this way! Follow me!" He started winging his way toward the base of the mountain. "It's not far!"
  2. Sarcus turned to the group. "Alright, since no one else seems to want do do it, I'll appoint myself as the leader of our group, here. Can everyone repeat what their teams are? I need to know so I can come up with a strategy. My team consists of Absolution, the, well, Absol, Metang, Blues the Pawniard, Chomp the Gible, and Gallant the Gallade." "Fine, whatever," Max replied to Sarcus's self-nomination. "I've got Tiberius, Remia, Argentia, Ignatius and Celeste. That's an Arcanine, a Mightyena, an Aron, a Combusken, and a Feebas."
  3. "I think we should determine some positions and strategy before we run out to battle," Sarcus suggested. "For example, my team is good at dealing a lot of damage quickly, but they don't move very fast or take a lot of punishment overall. That would mean that I could provide some direct damage support while someone on the front line distracts the enemy."
  4. URIST, THE CARP ARE SCALING THE WALLS! TO ARMS!

*Dramatic voice over*: "In a world where fish can scale the walls of fortresses..."

  5. "Sounds good to me." Ace hopped after the Jolteon. "So what are we doing over here again?"
  6. "Well, it's about time you showed up, Ace. Got tired of practicing?" He remarked with a slight grin on his face, before shifting his gaze back to Draidon, "Ace, you can keep secrets, right?" "I just saw lightning get dropped over here. It's not good to fly in thunderstorms, heh. Tends to leave one a bit crisper than they'd like." He frowned -or made the closest approximation a bird could make with a beak- at the second question. "Why?"
  7. Expect the worst and all of your surprises will be pleasant.

  8. Sarcus stood up from the computer amidst the turmoil. Miraculously, the floor below was holding up to the battling upstairs, and the debris had created a path that allowed him to climb up and down. "This way!" he shouted after climbing to the floor where the rest of the team was located. The lanky Trainer dashed toward where the acolytes had come from. While they and their Pokemon were distracted, he slipped behind them and started systematically hamstringing and gagging them while the battle raged, leaving their Pokemon without direction.
  9. Marcus, having drifted away from the group, followed his nose in an attempt to locate that food. He couldn't remember eating at all since he had come here. Idly, he wondered what would happen if someone died of starvation in this place. Would they come back with a full stomach? ((What does he run into?))
  10. Sarcus sighed. "A warmup wouldn't hurt, but I don't think that's our first concern at this moment. Plus, it wouldn't feel natural without a blade in my hand."
  11. Sarcus shook his head. "Idiots. . ." He was utterly confused and a fair bit frustrated by the pair's behavior. Remembering the others that were with him, Sarcus moved back to Lionel. "You'll be fine. You're better at this than you think, and we'll be right behind you."
  12. Ace was testing his wings in the area around Tempest Castle when he saw a bolt of lightning strike in the distance. He changed his bearing to fly in the direction of the disturbance. As he drew closer to them, his sharp eyes picked out two other recruits that he thought he recognized. The Taillow fluttered down and called out to the two. "What's going on over here?"
  13. I might have mentioned this before but would Sarcus knowing his way around a katana be too much of an ass pull?
  14. Sarcus took action after Jake and Mark broke out into a brawl. He dashed toward Jake with superhuman speed, enhancing his motions with psychic power. The teen tackled his friend, trying to bring an end to the nonsense. Mark, he grabbed in a psionic fist and tried to slam him to the ground. "Are you both brainless? This is pure idiocy and nothing more." Sarcus spoke both out loud and telepathically. He felt the beginnings of the worst headache of his life coming on, but he ignored it for the moment.
  15. They're usually references to other things or related to the Pokemon's name. Occasionally I'll name one after what role it fulfills in some way, like my Scizor named Recon.
  16. Consider slashing Drill Peck for the decent base power and solid accuracy. I run it over Brave Bird so the recoil doesn't do me in.
  17. "Wait for Grace. Trying to focus among all these people is giving me a serious headache." Maximus ducked, wove, and shouldered his way through the crowd, trying to reach Jake. With the choice distribution of an elbow or three, he managed to force his way to his friend. "Hey, Jake. This's all a big deal, isn't it? I wonder what's going on." Max looked around and noted the two others present. "Oh, hi Lionel," he piped cheerily. "Hello, Maximus," Sarcus said, acknowledging his rival's presence rather curtly. "Jake, who is this with you? I can't say I remember his name." Sarcus looked directly into Mark's eyes, his slate grey stare carrying a lot of intensity. ((I assumed Lionel was still with Sarcus.))
  18. "I think the question is, what kind of foes are we going to be up against. Have the other legendary beings turned violent and mad, that we'll have to fight them?" "I do not know." Mewtwo was silent for a moment. "I have a general sense of where some of them are located, but it is impossible for me to tell anything more without losing focus. Expect the worst, and all of your surprises will be pleasant." I meant to ask what region we were currently in before we were brought here by Deoxys. Perhaps a little information about the region might help make our search that much easier to deal with." "You were in a section of the Reborn region that was juxtaposed between a mountain range from Sinnoh and a forest of Unova. This information is irrelevant now, I fear. The Plate has been retrieved and the rift has already nearly consumed the area."
  19. Sarcus looked about. Frontal assault. . . ? A chance for glory? A test? My end? He sighted Grace, then Jake. "Let's stick together. I've got a bad feeling about this," he said to Lionel without turning around. He focused his mind on his two other friends. Let's group up. If it comes to it, we'll battle more effectively as a group since we know one another, he sent. The Trainer then turned to his Pokemon. "I need you to be ready. All of you." He got various gestures and grunts of approval from his team.
  20. Look behind the mirror / I'm lost in the twilight hall

  21. This actually seems kind of neat. I might join depending on how the timing works out.
  22. Neat. So with that, my moveset would end up being something like: Boomburst, Endeavor, Facade, Close Combat (the one unobtainable one), Brave Bird, Peck, Focus Energy, and Growl.
  23. Now that I think of it, it would be more logical if everyone was speaking Japanese with English as a secondary language. In Grace's case, it would be a third language, since Kalos is France. EDIT: And I seriously have to get around to doing a drawing of Sarcus sometime. Picture my trainer sprite but higher quality standing on a Metagross and looking like he was directing troops, wind blowing his hair in the night.
