That golem's attraction is stronger than I had feared. The flying templar redirected himself midair with a short spurt of flame, sending him downward with deadly momentum at the "neck" of the beast. Xavier held his sword in the strongest grip he could muster, readying himself for impact. ((Reckless? What's that? Can I eat it?))

Xavier wordlessly moved in for another strike. He tried to launch himself into the air on a jet of fire, taking care to angle the blast away from the colossal beast.

Matrim deftly vaulted over the rock he had been taking cover behind and shuffled quickly down the slope, maintaining his footing despite the broken terrain. He calmly approached the caravan at a walk, axe held loosely, giving him the appearance of being relaxed. He planned to simply walk up to the caravan, grab a bag or five for goods, and walk off. However, the bard stayed ready for the "guard's" response. Ah, if only I could get around like the good old days. I wouldn't need to crack anyone over the head, and I'd probably end up making more off of tips than I will now by taking his goods.

It hadn't been visible before because it was nearly the same color as the surrounding rock.

Marcus, after quite some time climbing, finally reached the top of the stairs. However, he was exhausted, so he decided to lay down a few steps away from the top. That way, nothing up there would be able to see him.
