  1. So who wants to be the next victim? I figure Marcus's physical attributes are on par with the average Olympic athlete at this point; another kill and he'll be one of the strongest humans to ever exist, physically, but still within human capacity. Also, "no personality" is f***ing hard to roleplay.
  2. Well, that was odd. Marcus stood, bemused for a moment. He had a faint urge to talk to her about. . . history? Since when did he care about history? Particularly. . . art history? He shook his head. Those two are proving to be bigger distractions than I had anticipated. Looking up toward the stairs, Marcus planned out a route. Top of the garden, eh? That's the only knowledge I have to go on, however unreliable it may be. The killer started moving toward his goal.
  3. That's the idea. We can also have third party protagonists and antagonists, as was mentioned. I had an idea for a storyline revolving around a mysterious Crimson King, whom the heroes would eventually plot details within I think that would fit here nicely. How about this idea; we bring everyone together into one time period, but individually RP through each life stage up until the desired one. (Hatchling, Whelp, Young, Adult, Ancient, Twilight.) Dragons of similar ages would encounter one another while growing up. Alternatively, just start people out at whatever age. (Though Ancient and up would be up to the host's discretion, as an ancient dragon in DnD is a level 26 to 30 solo monster. E.g., a challenge for five near-demigods.
  4. Speaking of roleplays. . . Owen, I've got one you might want to check out.

  5. I wasn't nitpicking. I'm just somewhat familiar with how weapons work; if a HMG was compressed to the size and weight of an assault rifle, well, it'd be an assault rifle. (Unless you put a really tiny belt on it, but that wouldn't really make sense because the whole point is that it shoots lots of big bullets.) Also, the reason I wanted a sniper rifle is because it would make sense for a number of reasons. One, both pilots and snipers are somewhat isolated from the action. Two, pilots need a high degree of intelligence and the ability to make snap decisions; a sniper basically needs to do calculus on the fly to hit his target. While the training would be completely separate, you would have similar people in cockpits and using sniper rifles. (Plus, there's always some sort of special training for something like the pararescue team.)
  6. Typing is too good, movepool is ridiculous, abilities are amazing, BST is for legends only. When making a Pokemon, you get to pick two of the above things for OU material. Take Volcarona: Good stats and state spread, good offensive typing, nigh-worthless abilities, and maybe 5 good moves.
  7. Psionics are very simple in 4e, the aforementioned power point thing is the only mechanical difference between, say, a psion and a wizard.
  8. Ever feel like a game was just giving you the finger?

What Slicster said. "Here's an insane amount of bullets, have fun."

  9. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8580 http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8707 Both of these hold their own against OU teams. Steel and Bug, if you're too lazy to click. EDIT: The Mono-Steel has Heatran in it; you could probably swap that out for like Empoleon or, since you don't want starters, Bronzong.
  10. I don't see a problem with letting people play dragons, dragon riders, and dragon slayers in the same RP. People facing off against one another tends to work better than player vs. DM in these sorts of things, since it paces itself. Freelancers are guaranteed by the nature of dragons, so yeah. EDIT: Encounter powers are powers that you can use once every short rest. There are also at-will powers with no cooldown (useable every time you get the appropriate action/trigger) and dailies (self-explanatory.) EDIT2: We wouldn't be doing a play-by-post DnD thing, just a roleplay. Those things are borderline horrific to run.
  11. "What, you really think I look like one of those guys?" "Caution has never killed anyone. This place isn't familiar to me." "I'll forgive you this time because you're cute. Soo, what a violent pretty boy like you is looking for in here?" This question gave Marcus pause. "Power, I suppose, as every man wants. What brings a woman such as yourself here?"
  12. 1. No sniper rifles? Murdoc is disappoint. 2. You know a light machine gun takes a three man crew, right?
  13. I say that any NPC dragons follow the general alignment rules (I'm a 4e native, they're looser,) but PCs are free to choose whichever alignment they want. Psionics in 4e work because each class is more specialized, and the system is overall simpler. Basically, instead of encounter powers, they get to power up at wills. . . uh. . . at will. . . by spending power points, which are regained at the same time encounter powers would normally be.
  14. I like psionics though. Only problem is that they overlap too much with magical magic.
  15. I've got plenty of free time at night, and As Gods Sleep is waiting on a couple people right now, so I could fill in/help out.
  16. I think we could be pretty flexible, to the point of letting people come up with their own varieties, as long as they are reasonable (Wyverns, wyrms etc are OK too). When I say this, keep in mind that DnD 3e had gemstone dragons. I like the idea of dragons being endangered and having a clan of dragon riders (and dragon slayers.) Dragonslaying could also be something institutionalized a la Avatar, where the Fire Nation made a concerted attempt to eradicate them. Keep the ideas coming.
  17. Ideally, we would see dragons throughout their lifespan, going by DnD standards. Everyone could RP individually through the younger stages of life, then we could have other roleplays going on in which the players serve as antagonists/patrons/etc. Just an idea. (And I really really want to RP a dragon.)
  18. EDIT: The signup thread is here: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=8820 Ask questions in this thread, and remember that you don't need to be a dragon. Therefore, we need to come up with an RP where people get to be dragons. Thoughts?
  19. The Wii U is dying because it was uninteresting for the casual audience and a slap in the face for their core fans who were expecting an actual console.

  22. Allen laughed. "Yeah, I know what you mean. Pity people don't enjoy physics all that much. Anyway though, if I haven't mentioned it yet, I should tell you that using my ability has a bit of a drawback. It's pretty minor if I'm just warping a little bit, but places get rather radioactive when I rip open wormholes. I think you'll understand why I don't want to casually demonstrate it." He suddenly yawned. "I'm tired, though, so I think I'll take that mattress. Could you point me in the general direction?"
  23. Would you mind it if I asked you to avoid an encounter between Mr. Taylor and Marcus for a while? I have a plan.
