  1. So, yeah, PO is not on my computer right now, so excuse my formatting. Bisharp @ Focus Sash 252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Speed Nature: Adamant Ability: Defiant -Sucker Punch -Stealth Rock -Iron Head -Swords Dance I use this Bisharp as a lead, typically. Why? Well, one, it has access to rocks. Two, it's unexpected, which throws people off. It's been fairly successful so far. I will usually set up a SD against another hazard-setting lead, then OHKO with Sucker Punch when they try to attack. Iron Head is there for fairy-slaying (not that the team needs it) and prediction. Stealth Rock is there, again for when I predict they aren't attacking me. Bisharp has the added advantage of having Defiant, so he doesn't get Defogged. Skarmory @ Leftovers 252 HP / 4 Attack / 252 Sp. Defense Nature: Impish Ability: Sturdy -Spikes -Roar -Roost -Drill Peck Fairly standard Skarmory. Spikes are nice, and constant shuffling with spikes and stealth rock wears almost every team down quickly. Roost for recovery. I took Roar over Whirlwind due to Roar not being blocked by Substitute or Protect (though the latter may be a bug.) Drill Peck was taken over Brave Bird since Skarmory is a wall and shouldn't be killing itself with recoil. I've been quite successful in using it; it has respectable Attack, so Drill Peck puts dents in most things. Roar-shuffling is also an amusing way to sweep teams. Full Sp. D investment allows this metal bird to tank most Thunderbolts and Flamethrowers, then Roost off the damage. Burns have been problematic, however. Heatran @ Leftovers 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Sp. Def Nature: Modest Ability: Flash Fire -Magma Storm -Stealth Rock -Will-O-Wisp -Protect This Heatran is designed to switch in on a threatening Fire attack, trap the switch-in with the strongest partial trapping move in the game, then wear them down with residual damage, as well as crippling set-up sweepers and physical revenge killers. I have Rocks on this too because usually, one of my hazard setters dies before the opposing spinner/defogger, so rocks will be gone. It has the added advantage of having high PP in the case of a wall-on-wall final battle to the Struggle. I've had mixed success. The 4x weakness to Ground is incredibly painful, resulting in OHKOs every time, but Leftovers recovery is hard to give up for Air Balloon. However, it has stopped numerous sweeps dead in their tracks. Aegislash @ Leftovers 252 HP / 100 Attack / 156 Sp. A Nature: Brave Ability: Stance Change -King's Shield -Sacred Sword -Shadow Ball -Shadow Sneak Ah, this overused little shit. I told myself I would never use it, but I am. The mixed set makes it hard to wall, since most things will fall to a powerful attack from the wrong side. The combo of Shadow Ball+Shadow Sneak kills most things, and it seems that most people don't expect a Sacred Sword to follow a Shadow Ball. Aegislash hasn't worked out terribly well for me, though. It seems to fall quickly without taking out any threats, though it puts serious dents in things. This is partially because I'm unused to using it, but, well, idk. Scizor @ Choice Band 252 HP / 252 Attack / 4 Sp. Defense Nature: Adamant Ability: Technician -Bullet Punch -U-Turn -Bug Bite -Superpower Do I really need to explain what a banded Scizor does? Magnezone @ Leftovers 252 HP / Sp. Attack / 4 Sp. D Nature: Modest Ability: Magnet Pull -Thunderbolt -Volt Switch -Flash Cannon -Thunder Wave Dual STABS for trapping opposing Steel-types and mauling them, or just plain murdering anything neutral to either with a base 130 Special Attack. Thunder Wave helps with supporting the team, and a slow Volt Switch can bring in a counter if the opponent goes for their own counter. It's done well, so far, but the entire team faces issues with a particular large rabbit, Magnezone especially. Skarmory has no trouble, but if Skarm is killed by something (like a Magnezone. . .), my team is helpless. Magnezone is useless against ground types in general, but each move in the set has been extremely useful to have.
  2. Maximus, after frantically patting his shirt out, watched the remainder of the battles with mild interest. He was mostly thinking about how he was going to train his Feebas. The poor creature was almost impossible to use in battle. Sarcus's battle in particular was hard to watch, mostly because of the despondent look on the other guy's face when he lost. The guy disappeared after the battle to somewhere, though he hadn't seen where. Max did get a bit of a boost to his mood when he saw the scores, though. A perfect score!? That never happens! He drew a bit of attention to himself when he let out a whoop of excitement. His stomach growled, however, distracting him momentarily. Max remembered the loser of Sarcus's battle. I wonder how he's doing. After looking around for a moment, he spotted the other boy looking at the results. Maximus ran over to him, bumping into a couple people with quick apologies. "Don't mind Sarcus. He likes to give people a rough time."
  3. Sarcus noticed Grace heading in the same direction he was. He wove his way through the mess of students and their Pokemon, making his way to her. "So how'd it go?" he called, having to shout a bit to make himself heard over the noise of the crowd.
  4. I feel like this deserves some sort of clever turn of phrase, but anything beyond referencing Alice in Wonderland escapes me. Ah, well. Allen cautiously looked about, then strode through the portal.
  5. "Sounds like a plan. Hope you're not upset about me being a bit paranoid." With that, Allen slipped downward from the tree, landing rather maladroitly on the ground before recovering. "Any explanation on the glowy portal thing?"

  7. Sarcus returned after a few moments, outfit neatly arranged and everything in place once again. He brightened up a bit upon seeing his score, but his eyes narrowed at Maximus's. How the hell did he out-score me? It must have been that Night Slash that made me lose points. These damn fairies are going to ruin me. Gallant looked about, trying to locate what had caused the surge in hostility. "Calm down, it's nothing," he told the Fighting-type. Blues and Chomp were both rather frustrated, but they weren't mirroring their trainer; Absolution was preventing the two from fighting by simply placing a foot on top of each one's head. Sarcus gave the two a sharp look, and they calmed down. "Now. Let's eat!" The Trainer walked off briskly toward the cafeteria.
  8. RestTalk Milotic has been the bane of many of my enemies.
  9. ODDISH. FUCK ODDISH. SERIOUSLY FUCK IT. Ugly design, all it does is status you and then die to give shit experience. Only redeeming factor is that Bellossom is kind of cute. Klefki, because of prankswag and being a fucking fairy type. The existence of fairies in general annoys me. Slurpuff. In-game, it just spams cotton guard and other pointless stall moves. Honorable mention to Genesect for being ugly and screwing me so many times in competitive.
  10. As a reply, Marcus simply leveled a stare at Ixidor. It contained no obvious menace -really, it was just a blank facial expression- but he had found it was quite effective at quieting people without resorting to removing their ability to speak. After a few moments that almost felt too long, he spoke. "I already told you, I want to figure out why I am repulsed by the thought of killing you." He took a step back. "I'll just follow you about. It should be to our mutual benefit; I am curious about you, and you are a young boy in a library full of dangerous people. Having one at your side will help you." ((If I don't reply, assume I am following you without comment.))
  11. Replying to Marcus, Xavier reminisced a bit. "Being a Cinder Knight isn't all blood and glory, though I'll admit I have a desire for the second. I try to help people out wherever I can, even with mundane things like fixing walls up, for example. I learned a bit from a carpenter in a village I helped. It's proven to be surprisingly useful." He then turned back to his work, with the occasional glance at the golden Victonari. A strange one, him. I'll have to speak with him sometime. ((Hukuna, he was speaking to Xavier, not Orpheaus.))
  12. Looks like testing finished. Let's head back and check the results, shall we? Sarcus turned, starting to walk back to the gym. "Oh- I forgot something. Be right back." He skittered away, having left most of his elaborate outfit lying in the grass, temporarily leaving Lionel alone.
  13. She's probably joking, but just to be on the safe side. . . Allen appeared to fold in on himself, shrinking to a point and vanishing. He had warped his way to the top of a small tree a short distance behind the pyromancer. "I sincerely hope that was a joke, because I don't see this ending well for either of us," he called out. I'm going to be driving the scientists here crazy, assuming they can detect fluctuations like that. This place won't hurt anyone, but it'll definitely be setting off Geiger counters for a couple hours.
  14. This is your first warning. You cannot under any circumstance pull something like declaring a move to suddenly exist; it is common sense to ask first.
  15. People are talking about minimizing attack on special attackers like it isn't common sense.
  16. The wind started to pick up almost impatiently, giving Amarantha a shiver and causing Umbra to cry out in her sleep. She waddled forward to where the group was congregating. "I don't think we should stay here much longer," she said uneasily.
  17. Xavier looked the patch-in-progress over. He grunted to himself, and picked up a couple planks along with the requisite nails and hammer. Instead of patching the larger hole, he started laying boards in specific places along the existing patch, measuring with his hands and the hammer to place the boards just so. He interrupted Marcus to correct him. "That shouldn't go there, it'll distribute the forces all wrong. Put it here, and make sure it's straight," he said, gesturing.
  18. Marcus grabbed Ixidor's shoulder firmly. Not roughly, but his now-superhuman strength came through. "Don't leave. I haven't figured it out yet." He realized how tightly he was squeezing the boy's shoulder, and loosened his grip slightly. "I apologize."
  19. "I'm Allen. I can warp the space immediately around myself. I figured I should tell you what I can do, since you showed me. I think I'd like to see this safer place, thank you very much." He gave a polite nod. I wouldn't assume she was a government agent, since they're sort of hunting people with abilities. He laughed abruptly. Before he was asked for an explanation, he simply stated, "I play too many video games."
