  2. "You don't look like me. I thought it might be as simple as that." He thought about what Ixidor had said. "Here's a question for you, since you seem fond of moralizing. Why did you kill me, and nearly kill two other people?"
  3. Eurgh. I'm starting to regret wanting all of these pseudo-legendaries. They're annoying sometimes because they take so goddamn long to evolve. Also, are you expecting a reply from me atm?
  4. "I'd be happy to help with these walls. It's not my primary area of expertise, but you pick up a few things when you travel as long as I have." Xavier shrugged. "I don't know that I'd be a good sparring partner, however. The fighting style of a Cinder Knight leaves little room for holding back, and I couldn't teach it with this minuscule amount of time."
  5. Sarcus couldn't help his mouth twisting. Not good enough, though it's a start. There's no way he'll be able to show his Druddigon authority he doesn't feel, however. He turned to Lionel. "I've got an idea." I don't know how well that Druddigon understands humans, so I'll speak to you like this. The thought was directed outward at the other Trainer. How does a mock battle sound? You can show Druddigon you are a worthy trainer by "defeating" me.
  6. edit: so the forum randomly killed my post. cool. "What I'm feeling? I don't feel. I am confused, because this is not something I have experienced before." Feeling, that is. He thought for a moment. "You are wrong about my destiny, if I have one. I absorb the life of the people I kill here. That speaks for itself." Marcus stepped closer to Ixidor, examining his face, his mannerisms. "No, it isn't that," he mumbled, mostly to himself.
  7. Is it just me or did the server die?

  8. I'd like one final say on both. When you consider a ban on something, there are two main factors to consider: 1. Does it over centralize the metagame in any way? 2. Is it reliant on a factor other than player skill? The answer for both Swagger+Prankster and Baton Pass is yes for either question. For the first, Swagger has only niche counters that would not see use outside of countering it; namely, Own Tempo and to a lesser extent Magic Bounce and Lum Berry. When team building, a player is forced to use one of these or a stall team to counter Swagger or be at the mercy of the RNG. For Baton Pass as it exists currently, it's the same story. Setup leads are almost always a bad idea, and have only been seriously considered as a BP counter. Haze is literally never suggested on this forum outside of countering BP, but without it, your team is helpless. The same goes for Unaware Quagsire and Clefable. For the second factor, it is clear. Swagger is just as luck reliant as evasion or Moody, with every part of the strategy relying on a random event. Baton Pass means the battle is over before it begins due to teambuilding, and Baton Pass teams are easy to copy and paste. Neither requires any skill. Swagger users don't need to predict switch-ins or moves; they just follow a set formula that literally does not change at all based on lineup. Baton Pass takes marginally more skill, but in the end similarly follows a set pattern that mostly disregards matchups and requires no prediction of any sort, since a BP user can always have the advantage on a switch unless hit with a slow U-Turn/Volt Switch.
  9. Marcus started to remove all of his weapons, placing them neatly in a pile. He winced, knowing he would be defenseless, but that seemed to matter a bit less than it had before. The pile of knives was about ankle high when he was finished. After this, he responded bluntly to Ixidor's question. "Why I don't want to kill you."
  10. Allen jumped slightly when the woman spoke. He quickly collected himself however, and replied without turning his head. "Everything you just said is correct, and yes. I was planning on staying here, but from the way you've just approached me, I take it you have an alternate plan." He turned enough to face the woman. "Is that right?"
  11. it was mostly this: (03:27:34) +Amethyst: not-me can't breathe because of dick shaped cake (03:27:35) +Amethyst: super. (03:27:37) +Amethyst: i'm leaving
  12. I would rather not ban Klefki. It has uses outside of swagplay, such as dual screens, spikes, and having an excellent defensive typing.
  13. Jolteon is a poor example, since Jolteon's defenses are akin to the defenses of the average mosquito. Swagger is uncounterable because you can't do anything to prevent it or manipulate it beyond the things I mentioned. You could out-priority it - but Klefki resists every move with a greater priority than swagger and has good defenses. Sableye is immune. You could switch in something weird like a Lum Berry Garchomp to take advantage of a swagger boost - but many Klefkis run Air Balloon and can still swagger again on the next turn. It's uncounterable because you have a 50/50 chance of losing an entire turn and then some, unless you run something like Oblivious Slowbro. Since this is literally the only reason to run Oblivious Slowbro barring some Attract gimmicks, and nothing else that is viable is a counter, Swagger+Prankster should be banned.
  14. "Were I in your position, I wouldn't believe me, but I do not plan on killing you," Marcus replied. "That's why I want to talk to you; I want to know why."

Orderliness results were low which suggests you are overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense too often of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment. Extraversion results were high which suggests you are overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense too often of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity. trait snapshot: craves attention, messy, open, rash, irritable, likes large parties, low self control, weird, fragile, does not like to be alone, emotionally sensitive, worrying, depressed, heart over mind, does not respect authority, dependent, not rule conscious, not good at saving money, more interested in relationships than intellectual pursuits, likes to fit in, very social, frequently second guesses self, phobic, suspicious, not careful, outgoing, vain, compassionate, aggressive, likes to make fun, hates to lose I don't even. More interested in relationships than intellectual pursuits? Likes large parties? Doesn't like to be alone? There's a flaw here somewhere. Though the anti-authority thing is about as accurate as it gets.
  16. I just realized that a viable counter to Baton Pass might be a setup lead. Leading with a Sucker Punch abuser like Swords Dance Bisharp or Absol can do wonders, since they set up just as quickly as a BP team can rack up defensive boosts. They also hit and likely OHKO Espeon with Knock Off or Night Slash. Setup leads in general might be good because most BP teams don't seem to carry hazers or phazers, and usually their lead will not carry WoW/Toxic/Twave. Absol in particular is good because it can't be phazed and is immune to Stored Power, as well as being immune to status. Dragonite works to a lesser extent, since it gains boosts slower than Iron Defense, but it can set up with near impunity assuming a standard Scoliopede lead. Swagger is literally uncounterable outside of Magic Bounce, Own Tempo, and maybe Lum Berry.
  17. No plans, just trying to get myself in. School+work+illness+a busted laptop are slowing my replies down.
  18. I actually liked Contests; the only issue was that you would regularly get screwed by the haxy nature of startkes and stuff.
  19. I hate having dreams where I'm in a relationship.

  20. Sarcus started climbing the large Steel-type. On his way up, he patted Ogre's back and scratched a gap between two of the Aggron's armor plates. Would have trained one, in a different life. Absolution took the cue and followed his trainer.
  21. because a bug can totally use the soft and vulnerable abdomen as a piercing weapon EDIT: What would everyone think of having an ace? As in, your designated main Pokemon. Your ace would just get to do a little better in battles, either just by RPing or grasssnake handing out a free level advantage.
