  1. Maximus growled in sync with Remia. "This isn't gonna happen to me, too. Remia, use Roar and scare off that Beautifly!" The Mightyena terrified her opponents with the loudest sound she could muster. "Tiberius, use Extreme Speed to get around the bubbles and hit that Magikarp with a Wild Charge!" The Arcanine, distraction eliminated, moved almost faster than the eye could see and became wreathed in electricity before charging his target. Since a stronger attack would hurt his land-bound Pokemon, he only had one real option to take care of the Pichu. "Argentia, Mud Slap!" The Aron moved for the first time in the battle, kicking a spray of gritty mud in the Electric-type's eyes.
  2. Pfft. You people and hating on pseudo-legendaries. I don't want a Salamence because it's powerful; I want a Salamence because it's been one of my favorite pokemon since I was like eight.

  4. The elf sat up as the dwarf approached him. "Just trying to good wherever I can," he responded to the dwarf's question. "I am Xavier Sylvaurus." He politely sipped the drink the dwarf brought him, though he was careful not to have too much at once. "The troubles here don't seem to be of the sort that one such as I can help with, though. A blade makes a very poor tool for feeding the poor." He looked at the dwarf carefully once more. "If you don't mind, I'll pose the same question to you. Is there a purpose to your visit other than reuniting with family? I would think a paladin would have a similar lack of reasons to come to this place otherwise."
  5. I think it'd be more interesting if we didn't know one another. By the way, do you want to know what's up with my character now, or find out later.
  6. Alright then. Let's see what I've gotten into. Nathan pulled the capsules from his belt. "Let's see what a. . ." He paused to read the label on the first one. ". . . a Charmander is." He clicked the button on the front, and a small creature emerged with a flash. It appeared to be nothing more than a large, bipedal lizard, except for one striking feature. Its tail was aflame, and appeared to be naturally so. "So, can you control that at all, or is that just for decoration?" The lizard thing replied by looking at him, then belching out a few sparks. He deftly took a step backward before they landed on his boots. So it's like a dragon, eh? I guess I can see this being useful, though I still think a sidearm is more reliable. Nathan pulled out the other sphere and clicked the button once more. Out popped another lizard-like creature. This one was blue, as opposed to the orange of the other, and in the place of flames, it had armor plates running from its head down its back. "So do you do anything interesting?" The creature answered him by charging at him with head lowered. He sidestepped, and it thumped into a nearby tree. It seemed unfazed by the collision, but didn't charge again. "Feisty, aren't you?"
  7. A young (for an elf) Cinder Knight sat at the corner of the bar, trying to keep warm, his bright cloak wrapped about himself. He was rather unused to the bitter cold of this region, though his talents as a templar of Pyoron helped with that issue. He wasn't here to drink; he had stopped in this town on his travels about the region, looking for those in need of his help. So far, he hadn't been overly successful; the troubles here weren't of the nature that he could solve. He was here to battle injustice and tyranny, but all he had encountered was poverty and despair of a more mundane nature. He sighed. There was a dwarf entering the tavern. He appeared to be a templar of Bartimus; a paladin, he believed they called themselves. Perhaps they were here for similar purposes. Well, not likely for his secondary purpose, but few survived that particular issue. The dwarf started to move about the room, giving out drinks and chatting with a few of the denizens of the establishment. With suspicion, he watched him talk to a strange, cloaked figure who only revealed an eye. Perhaps he was making a hasty judgement, but he didn't feel at ease. He put a hand on his oversized blade as the dwarf left and began talking to another individual. This one was. . . a half-orc? The fellow didn't strike him as particularly menacing, but one never knew. Some half-orcs leaned toward their more civilized side, while others. . . others had met their ends on the blades of his order. He settled back into the chair, still idly fondling the grip of his sword, as he continued to observe the scene.

  10. "Sir." Nathan, realizing the importance of the situation, dropped his usual attitude, standing at attention. "Two of the civili- I mean, recruits, attempted to start a brawl using their newly received -what do we call them? GAOs?-. The infiltrator, in the guise of Oak, stepped in and attempted to enforce discipline by using his own GAOs against theirs, sir." He delivered this all in a quick, crisp tone, contrasting with his normally somewhat aggressive and confrontational manner. "After this, it appears that one of the GAOs tried to continue the earlier fight, resulting in our impostor here threatening them with further usage of force, sir. Clint -I'm not aware of what ranking system is in place in this program- challenged the professor with his own GAO, which appeared to further enrage him. After a brief but violent combat, well, you were present for the rest. I believe that is all relevant information, sir." I need air time. After this insane shit, I need to be behind the controls of my fighter again. No animals that blow shit up for no reason, just the sky, your squadron, and your machine against the enemy. The pilot waited for Surge's response.
  11. Definitely thinking the defender of justice type, but I can't decide. Am I a young, brave warrior, full of righteous fire and the desire for glory? Am I a grizzled, aging veteran, experienced with the world and tired of war? Am I a disillusioned knight in sour armor who only continues to fight because his morals won't let him do anything less?
  12. Nathan gazed down at the two spheres in his hands with a bemused expression. "Charmander. . . and Bagon?" I don't get why I'm here. You would think this sort of thing would be the last task they would trust me with. Insubordination is pretty serious. . . focus. I do see why they want these things weaponized, though I wonder how they figure they'd stand up to modern weaponry. A finely tuned machine is a lot more reliable than a trained war animal, no matter how . . . magical. . . said animal happens to be. He stowed the two objects in one of his myriad pockets before asking a question. "So what is it, exactly, you want me to do? This isn't exactly what my training was for."
  13. I liked Silver. He actually had an interesting character, though he suffers a little bit from his personality copying Blue's to an extent. Least favorite was Hugh, mostly because he was like a less interesting version of Blue with a shitty catchphrase. ("Just so you know . . . You're about to feel my rage!")
  14. I need a week off.

  15. Alright, here goes nothing. "Tiberius, Flame Charge at that Beautifly!" The large canine Pokemon rushed forward, wreathed in flames that boosted its Speed. "Remia, show that Pichu who's in charge with a Swagger!" The Dark-type puffed up her chest and strutted about, infuriating the smaller Pokemon. "Argentia, get ready for their attacks with Iron Defense!" The small metal Pokemon gave no outward response, but she was tensing and hardening her already tough armor.
  16. By the way, you do realize that saying no pseudo-legendaries from Gen V specifically means banning Hydreigon and nothing else, right?
  17. I'll need to find that pic of myself and my doppelganger.
  18. Then Chansey shows up and makes you sad.
