  1. Screw teachers that believe they have a monopoly on your time.

  2. --------------------------------------------------- As you follow the source of the psychic strike, you enter a steep-sided rift between two towering, shadowed mountains. The terrain is fairly desolate, the hard ground only broken by the occasional boulder or tough weed clinging to life on the ground. The forest recedes behind you, the trees thinning out almost as if the forest was intimidated by the looming peaks. The presence you sensed before fades from your psychic sight, and a large pile of rocks - likely from a recent landslide - blocks a path that appears to wind up to the tallest mountain in the area. A small stream cuts through the thin woods a few dozen meters back; it appears to connect to a larger river. Unable to relocate the presence, you decide to wait in the area for a while. --------------------------------------------------- Amarantha looked up at her trainer. He didn't seem to want to follow Lily in her pursuit of the strange presence. However, she was struck by a curious sort of courage. She'd risked a lot recently; why stop now? "We should follow her," she tried to say. Of course, the human wouldn't understand her. Instead, assuming she had his attention, she began waddling off in the direction the aggressive Gardevoir had gone, occasionally grunting with frustration at her difficulty with traversing the dense brush of the forest.
  3. Max walked out to the field a bit nervously, and it showed on his face. He held up the balls for Tiberius, Remia, and Argentia in front of his face. "All right guys, I'm counting on you." He threw the balls hard and released the trio onto the battlefield, and waited for his opponent to arrive.
  4. I promise that I will respond to the RPs I am needed in by the end of the week, and hopefully by the end of tomorrow. I've been kind of busy/preoccupied.
  5. Reserved. Either going for a Half-Elf Paladin or a sorcerer of some variety. Also, are hybrids allowed? A hybrid paladin/sorcerer would be somewhat extremely awesome. Character Name: Xavier Sylvaurus Race: High Elf Class: Templar (Pyoron) Appearance and Age: Around 130 years old, though it's difficult to judge on appearance alone. Has long (hip-length) blonde hair and striking gray eyes. He is built fairly typically for an elf, not being particularly bulky and tending toward lankiness. Looks somewhat feminine. Dresses in half-plate that is a bit battered, but well taken care of. It has simple flame patterns to represent his order enameled on the gauntlets. Over that, he wears a fairly plain cloak, though he owns another that is an almost garish shade of red. He owns a blade that he earned upon the completion of his training as a Cinder Knight. It is a fairly large, well-polished bastard sword with a simple orange stripe running down the entirety of the fuller. His off-hand gauntlet is reinforced heavily, which restricts motion but absorbs blows, allowing him to catch a strike from a sword. Personality Overview: Impulsive and prone to rashness. Very idealistic and has a strong sense of morality. Tends toward holding grudges. Amiable, but his intensity can be offputting for some. Fairly direct and blunt when dealing with problems; he has a large issue coping with gray areas. Strong desire for fame. Backstory: It was fairly obvious what Xavier was going to do from a young age. His excellent reflexes and knack for getting into trouble meant he wouldn't do very well in any sort of settled career, so his parents decided to send him to train with the Cinder Knights, reserving more practical lessons for his more levelheaded siblings. He quickly distinguished himself with his martial prowess, though a lack of restraint made his instructors less than fond of him at times. However, he graduated without incident, and became a full member of the order. He immediately set out on an ongoing quest to rid the world of oppression that crushed the soul. Rumors followed, however, of a possible conflict within the order that forced him away.
  6. Nathan raised his hand. "Now that I think of it, I think I ran across one of those things a while ago while flying a mission. A freak thunderstorm almost took me and my wingman out; I dropped a few hundred feet before my controls came back to life. I could have sworn I saw a massive bird flying in the clouds after I was hit." He looked around, listening to the conversation that was occurring around him. "So what, you want us to train animals or some crap? Do I look like an animal handler to you? I thought we left that behind in World War I."
  7. I'll hang on to my Charmander (F) and take a Bagon (M) (since no deino for me.) No nicknames yet; I rarely nickname pokes in-game, mostly because I like the original names and have a hard time coming up with new ones. Is my latest post OK? Also, I have to know if I can curse or not.
  8. Got an Outrage Charmander off of Wonder Trade.

I love Wonder trade.. people give me their 3/4IVs pokemons and i just give them random stuff i found <3

Shame on you, I do the opposite.

    3. Shamitako

      Shamitako

I do both. My Inkay have crap IVs, but the Absol, Misdreavus, and Scyther are all at least mediocre. I rarely get anything good, though that shiny Kangaskhan will be useful for trade fodder

  9. well obviously if the ditto has 6 IVs then yeah that would work better problem: all 6 IV dittos on the GTS are asking for absolutely ludicrous things ("shiny darkrai pls"), though you can't blame them also, swapping out dratini for deino
  10. Destiny Knotting something with 3 IVs and a Ditto would be counterproductive; it would be guaranteed at least two non-perfect IVs. Update: Got a Deino with HP, Def, and 0 Atk. I have another of the opposite gender with Sp.A, Sp.D, and Speed. Breeding the two now, wish me luck.
  11. Yep, I've got a Modest Deino already, though I would prefer Timid to make up for Hydreigon's slightly lacking Speed.
  12. Yes, and it's going. . . alright. I've got one with perfect Speed, Sp.D and Sp.A, but the nature isn't ideal. With luck, I can get one with perfect Atk, Def, and HP, then Destiny Knot to perfection,
  13. Would it be sue-ish if my character had an encounter with Zapdos? It would make sense, him being a pilot and all. also debating asking for a deino if that requirement is dropped, i'm currently obsessed with it
  14. The quest for the perfect Hydreigon continues.

  15. Nathan raised his hand, and without waiting to be asked for his question, said, "Was there a purpose to that other than scaring the civvies ****less?"
  16. EV trained my first poke today.

What's its Attack IV? Physical Hydreigon isn't all that bad

What game BTW? If it's Gen vI you may wish to look into horde EV training, assuming you ahven't already. If it doesn't rain in the wrong spots, you can complete an entire Pokemin in about ten to fifteen minutes

this is gen 6. I trained it to max Sp.A before calculating EVs because i don't have enough candy to get it to the point where i can check ivs.

@vinny that was pretty much the thing i least wanted in there

On the bright side, you don't have a bug safari... like me ^_^

  17. Since I'm too lazy to set it up properly, all of your characters should be finding reasons to head toward the mountain. You'll end up in a steep valley. Once you get there, wait. On a slightly related note, I'll be introducing another character, I think. This time, I'm choosing my own 'mon. However, the character shall not be revealed at this moment in time.
