    Start with DnD 4e, it's arguably the most well-balanced and easiest to learn system. Look up sessions on YouTube to get an idea of how they work.

    Nathan was startled awake by an outburst from one of the other people in the room. He sat up and glared about until he determined the source of the noise. "What do you do in here? You sleep. It's a barracks. It's not complicated. Now, shuteye can be rare in this kind of job, so do you mind keeping that opening in your face shut while others try to get it?"

He had perfected the art of falling asleep almost instantly; it was a good skill to have when you might be flying eighteen hour missions back to back.

    Nathan craned his neck upwards from his position laying on the bed to answer the other recruit's question. "Eh, a few reasons. Was never a big fan of my superior, and I had a couple . . . incidents . . . stopping me from getting any upward mobility. I was wondering what this was all about, too; they told us to watch for unusual hazards while flying, and it was implied it was connected to whatever this project is. Mostly, though, I was bored where I was at." He turned his head to face the one who had asked the question. "So how'd you end up here?"

    Nathan looked around the room, quickly taking in his surroundings. It was pretty standard fare, as barracks went. Nathan then turned his attention to the others in the room with him. "Name's Nathan Gray. Airman First Class, at least until I transferred here." He moved over to one of the bunks near the back corner of the building, and chose the lower one. "Since we're not being assigned bunks, this'll be mine, unless anyone's got an issue with it." The pilot directed a challenging gaze about the room, almost daring someone to contest his choice. Guy called me a civilian. A civilian! He dismissed his annoyance and threw himself onto the bunk, and proceeded to pull his socks off.

He absentmindedly made the ration of food that Gillem had given him disappear down his prodigious gullet. "Can't wait till we restock our supplies," the large man commented. "This isn't enough." He let out a large yawn, then thumped down on a bare patch of dirt. "Sleep well and wake, everyone."

    I need to get around to learning to draw; not being able to get my ideas on paper is so annoying.

    Unlike some, I won't have an issue with it, as long as you do it realistically and, well, with awareness. I know quite a bit about mental health, for someone who isn't a professional, so if you need advice talk to me. You can keep your NPC pokes, though I will need to know what they are. There's always the possibility of having someone take them over as full characters.

    I was trying out a new team. Everything but Tyrantrum had U-turn/Volt Switch/Baton Pass.

    Ice, Fighting, and to a lesser extent, Rock. I use a lot of Dragon, Flying, Steel, and Dark, along with the occasional Fire-type, so Fighting screws me a lot. (Especially when YOUR fighting-type is Lucario. . .)
