Well. This was unexpected. Sarcus hadn't been sure what Sonny was up to when he led them in here, but this wasn't it. He turned to Max, and reached out telepathically with the assistance of Metang. I guess we've got to work together. Max jumped slightly when Sarcus sent his message, but quickly recovered once he realized what was happening.
You can hear me, right?
Of course; I'm the one maintaining the link.
We are helping, Metang interjected.
Yes, yes, everyone knows that.
I didn't.
Well now you do. Anyway, let's get to strategy. I've got offensive powerhouses for all of my partners, though Chomp isn't strong enough to battle, and Blues is still rather weak. Metang is more bulky, while Absolution relies on his sheer attacking strength and accuracy to win. I'm also not sure if I trust Gallant to behave, though his Close Combat will tear through Sonny's team given the chance.
I like the idea of your Gallade fighting. Who else were you gonna use? Sensing that Sarcus was prepared to drop his hostile feelings, temporarily at least, he gradually did the same. Metang creeps me out, he accidentally sent through the link, however.
What's your problem with Metang? Seriously, what the hell? He took a threatening step toward the dark-haired Trainer.
Don't get your briefs in a bunch, I didn't mean anything.
I don't wear - nevermind. Speaking of xem, though, I was planning on using Metang for this battle because of xyr Steel typing.
What about Bite?
Good point. Absolution might be a good choice; he's got a pretty versatile moveset. Gallant and Absolution, sound OK?
Sure, why not. I've got a mix of Pokemon on my team. Argentia might help fill the gap left by your team defensively, because of her high defense. Tiberius is also good at taking hits.
Ah, you have an Aron? My dad has an Aggron . . . Sarcus trailed off, remembering who he was "speaking" to. That sounds good. We all set?
I think so.
Both teens turned to face Sonny. Max tossed out the ball containing his Aron, who looked about, slightly confused, before realizing the situation. Sarcus returned Chomp, Blues, and Metang to their balls, and waved Gallant forward. The Fighting-type looked a bit fuddled about his battling partner, but his trainer made a placating gesture, and Gallant moved his focus back to the impending battle. "We're ready," Sarcus called.
(Battle theme for this particular instance:)
