Tiberius and Ignatius did too, apparently, and both walked from Max's side to greet their fellow Fire-type. He smiled at them. "The Combusken is Ignatius, and Tiberius is the Arcanine, by the way."

Inwardly, he was fighting a battle to keep the inner beast in check until it was needed. He didn't trust the Vanda, either. Then he felt it. A slight trembling in the ground below. Faint, but noticeable to him. "Call it off. NOW," he growled at the suspicious stranger.

    Max walked over to the lunch line with Jake. "Eugh. School lunches are gross everywhere." He noticed a somewhat familiar face up ahead in the line. Turning to Jake, Max asked, "Hey, isn't that Grace up there?"

    typically, investing in HP is better than investing in Def/Sp.Def, since it increases your bulk versus everything, not just one or the other. Bright Powder is also an unusual choice for volcarona; maybe a life orb or focus sash would be better. Dry Skin is an interesting choice; it makes you kind of weak to sun, which is not worth the benefits of anti-rain (since Water is only normally effective anyway.) Poison Touch might help you a bit more since you really only have Milotic to status people. Since Milotic is your status absorber, you might need less Def investment, since Marvel Scale provides an amazing defense boost. As for your issues with tank/stall, setup counters them. Swapping Haxorus out for a different lead, and switching it in on the enemy cleric/tank.

You know what he did after his Absol messed me up? He said I deserved it. Didn't apologize or anything. Can you believe that?" Max strolled down the hall. "I'm gonna go grab some lunch. You coming?"

Sarcus seems to think that because I don't do as well in school as he does, that makes me inferior to him." The dark haired teen paused for a moment. "He could never stand up to me in a fight, either. That bastard said some things that hurt. A lot. I figured he deserved what I did next. When I jumped on him, he set his Absol on me." The normally chatty trainer said nothing else.
