Hardy was an accident. Thanks for the tips; I'll see about swapping something out for a Mewtwo check. @Tomas I originally wanted to, but then I realized I would have 3 Dragon-types and a Ground type, and anything with Ice or Fairy moves would make the team cry.

Yeah, I know that it's almost all legendaries. The overall goal was to have both huge offensive threats and ridiculous amounts of stalling power if those threats were taken out. @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Rest - Spikes - Sleep Talk - Psycho Boost I ran RestTalk on this to make it ridiculously bulky and able to cure it's own status, since this team has no cleric. RestTalk lets it stay in and still do its job of setting Spikes, and Psycho Boost at least lets it attack, though it's basically filler. With the little testing I've done, it didn't really do appreciable damage, so I'll probably switch it out. @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure EVs: 252 HP / 188 Def / 68 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Sleep Talk - Rest - Dragon Tail - Will-O-Wisp Giratina, walling as usual. RestTalk for insane bulk once again, and WoW cripples any physical sweepers, as well as complementing Giratina's ability to stall out a great variety of things. Dragon Tail prevents it from being Taunt bait and abuses Stealth Rock/Spikes from the other teammates, as well as being able to inflict decent damage. @ Life Orb Trait: Turboblaze EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Hardy Nature - Draco Meteor - Ice Beam - Fusion Flare - Focus Blast The moveset here is basically 'choose the strongest moves available that aren't two-turn attacks.' Draco Meteor, while it cripples Kyurem, can blast away a lot of things, so I took it over other options. Fusion Flare seemed to have the best combination of reliability and power, so I used it. Focus Blast is just a great coverage move, and Ice Beam lacks most of the drawbacks more powerful Ice-type moves have, @ Leftovers Trait: Drought EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Dragon Tail - Stealth Rock - Earthquake - Thunder Wave Physically walling Groudon. T-Wave handily cripples lots of things, and Dragon Tail phazes, allowing Groudon to abuse Stealth Rock. Earthquake deals with a lot of threats due to it's absurd STAB power. @ 257ite Trait: Speed Boost EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - High Jump Kick - Flare Blitz - Stone Edge Blaziken was included to deal with the team's weakness to Ice-types. HJK has insane base power, allowing Blaziken to put a significant dent in almost everything. Flare Blitz is a nice STAB move too, and Blaziken probably won't mind the recoil too much. Stone Edge is nice for annoying Flying-types, as well as having respectable power on its own. @ Lum Berry Trait: Multitype EVs: Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Extreme Speed - Shadow Force - Recover Extreme Killer Arceus almost straight off of Smogon. It's not very complicated. STAB ExtremeSpeed makes a lot of things cry, and Shadow Force, while risky, allows Arceus to dodge some nasty moves while hitting with about the same power as ExtremeSpeed after STAB. Recover lets it prolong its sweeping.

Sarcus considered what he said. I wasn't expecting the apology. If I were in his position, I would probably try to apologize, too. Then again, that doesn't make it in any way acceptable, what he did. He extended his hand toward Jake. "Alright. But I meant what I said. One more time, and you're done. If you waste that last chance, don't expect me to help you. Now, I'm sure I can help you with Alina - that is, if she hasn't reevaluated her opinion of me." He had to at least attempt to make up for trying to hurt the kid. He couldn't let himself rampage out of control like that. Plus, he still felt some empathy with the younger Trainer.

Sarcus turned sharply at the touch on his back. He had heard Grace talking, and had been trying to locate her, but he knew exactly who this was. He glared at the sodden Trainer, and bit out, "What do YOU want?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The sun rose on Paradise Island early in the morning. The few residents awake at the time basked in its warm glow, along with their Pokemon. The denizens of the forest did the same, as their day began with the dawn. However, the pleasant weather didn't last. A storm front rolled in, darkening the skies over the island. Those who worked outside looked at the skies briefly, covered their work if they had to, and continued their labor. Some work had to be done, rain or shine. Some of the wild Pokemon living in the forest fled to the deeper parts, seeking a less damp place to forage and rest. Others came out of their dens excitedly, delighted at the downpour. The masses of students at the Pokeacademy scurried to the Academy's doors, many huddling under overhanging bits of roofs. There were very few Pokemon sighted flying about; the black thunderheads rolled and raged with noise, and the occasional blinding flash of lightning arcing between clouds or fown to trees split the sound of the downpour. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sarcus hurriedly made his way to the gates of the academy. There was a crowd of students around the gates, eagerly awaiting the time when they opened. Sarcus was no different. While he enjoyed the rain, he did not enjoy soaked clothing or books. His Pokemon seemed to have similar feelings. Absolution loudly complained about his drenched fur, and Ralts huddled inside his coat. You know, sometimes I feel like I need more than one of these. Blues had managed to shuffle ahead in the mass of students, a well-placed prick here and there easing his passage. Beldum had simply floated over the wall and into one of the buildings. While he waited, he looked about for Grace, hoping that she wasn't followed by Jake.

I don't know if Jake is done. . . doing whatever he is doing. I think it needs to go on for at least one more day so Pokelord/Acqui/that guy who just joined can do stuff and Jake can somehow convince Emerald to let him graduate.

Part of it is because the story hasn't had much of a chance to develop, but yeah. I think that as the story develops, the score might increase a bit. I'm not sure how Aftermath-Sarcus would score. He's got a couple more Sue traits, but also a couple more de-sue-ifiers. Also, would it be totally unacceptable if my sprite was what Sarcus looked like in the story? (again, not immediately, it would be at least a year after graduating.)

I think we've got room for some more hijinks in the first chapter, but it's up to you. This could get repetitive.

It's generally common courtesy to establish your character's skills and abilities in backgrounds, introductions, or situations involving NPCs. The same thing applies to preparations one's character makes, especially if it's something that might come up as being used against a PC.

I'm just saying, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to have a battle with you. (Especially when you backstab me over and over.)

jesus christ Absol-utely, you don't get to just magically dodge every attack, avoid every person searching for you, and pull out a plethora of weapons from a backpack that hasn't even been mentioned yet. Also, Emerald could quite literally rip you to pieces at this point. EDIT: Since this RP is about Team Shadow vs. the Poke-people, are we going to be 'taking back' legendaries, or are they voluntarily assisting Team Shadow? Because I really, really want Kyurem. (Obviously not anytime soon, but. . .)

Yeah. He'd still look into it, though. Plus the rule could change at some point, since I don't think anyone is using any of the absurdly strong mega evos. (I'm looking at you, Mega Kangaskhan.)

Sarcus grinned. "'Lookig into the structure,' eh? I don't suppose that means disassembling it or anything like that, right? I'd love to help you 'look into' it after I collect my weapons." He turned to Miki. "I'm going to hunt out Silver. Care to join me?" Without waiting for her answer, he started to walk away.
