What would it look like, and what ability and stat boosts would it get? I personally think that it would detach its legs, gaining a sh*tload of Attack in the process, and gain Levitate. (Because Metagross seriously needs Levitate, now. The pokedex entries specifically say it can levitate. )

"Well, so far, you've got a team full of offensive Dark-types. Assuming you find a Deino, anyway. If you wanted another Dark-type, and we were basing this on effectiveness alone, I would say you would want a Larvitar, or maybe Vullaby. They would give you an edge defensively, and Vullaby's Flying typing would cover your critical weaknesses. I don't think battle effectiveness is the best thing to base your team on, though. "

Sarcus sauntered up to where the two were talking. "You called?" he said with a smirk. He glanced at Jake, eyes narrowing as he did so. He simply glared at him for a moment, then continued. "Shall we? I need to train this guy up, and maybe find someone else to round out my team. I'll send you a message if I find a Dratini and you're not around." Trying to overcome his frustration with the other boy, he turned back to Jake. "Are you looking for anyone? You look like the type to go for a Larvitar, or maybe a Deino?" As he spoke, he strained mentally, trying to get a little "practice" at reading minds. The teacher had shuffled around it as she explained how to create a two-way link, but hidden in those instructions was another kind of one-way path for information. Simple, really. "Personally, if I don't find any new friends out there, I'll be fine. Gimme a shout if you find a Beldum, though." He finished his statement, hoping Jake couldn't somehow sense Sarcus's inelegant touch on his mind.

L LOOK UPON IT. LOOK UPON IT AND DESPAIR. YOU CANNOT OVERPOWER IT. YOU CANNOT OUTTHINK IT. YOUR ONLY HOPE IS TO RUN. RUN FAR AWAY. THEN KEEP RUNNING. IT WILL FIND YOU.

Shape up, he thought. You might feel comfortable for now, but make no mistake; this is an underground operation. Don't show weakness. He scrubbed at his eyes, and attempted to compose himself. Miki's story had also unsettled him, so he was having a hard time steadying his feet and his voice. Now what prompted that speech, anyway? Do I really feel that strongly about joining Dusk already? Even after my experiences with them so far? Another side of himself answered. Of course. Look at the world we live in. People have always said the world was going to hell in a handbasket, but looks like they're right this time. He sat quietly, continuing to analyze his own feelings and the current situation. As he did so, the small emotional tremors ceased. He stood up, awaiting Flux's response.

The class was winding down as they neared the end of an hour. The lessons had been delayed somewhat when what sounded like a massive whirlwind swept through the halls outside, breaking almost everyone's concentration. Most of the class seemed to have the art of sending your thoughts to another. However, the process of creating a two-way path for someone not trained as they were was for another day. It required significantly more focus, and still had limitations. If they didn't think clearly enough, you could get back exactly what they had been trying to eliminate earlier in the lesson; jumbled mixes of sensations, emotions, images, and feelings that made little to no sense for one on the outside looking in. When the lesson ended, Sarcus decided to try out his new skill. He focused intently on Emerald's classroom, trying to narrow his focus to Grace only. Content with his concentration, he sent his message. Hey, Grace. My lesson went well; how about yours? He carefully suppressed other background thoughts, lest other, more personal ideas filter through.

"Miki. Look at me. Do you truly believe in this cause? Do you truly love your Pokemon? If the answer to either one is no, then leave. I don't think that's the case, though. If your conviction is strong enough, which I believe it is, the benefits to any team outweigh any possible risk you might think you pose to them. Besides, when you ratted Dusk out, as you say, you had no connection to them. None whatsoever. The Church had your partner; what did you care if they obtained some scrap of information about a group of people you had no reason to care about? The thing about that is, is that there's nothing wrong with it. To me, that just proves how valuable you would be as a member of this organization, even if you aren't a skilled battler. You care about Pokemon, and you saw what this kind of system encourages." Sarcus had started with a strong, passionate tone, his suprisingly deep voice resounding throughout the room. He started to falter near the end of his last sentence, however. "My mother was a Pokemon breeder. She wasn't a very good battler, but she and my father worked together to raise both their own Pokemon and the Pokemon of others with care and love. Almost every Pokemon raised there got stronger. Of course, the only one who met the qualifications for multiple Pokemon when the new system struck was my father; and that was just barely two. Do you know what happened when they refused to give up their Pokemon?" Sarcus cleared his throat, and became even quieter. "They were torn apart. They were both stubborn, proud people, and the Church tried to take them by force. The last sight of them that I remember was my father's Salamence flying into the air and being hit with multiple ice attacks. It froze solid and shattered when it hit the ground. My father was on its back, trying to draw them away from my mother." He blinked a few times, then tried to finish strongly. "THAT is why you HAVE to join this team. The Church might profess to be against the mistreatment of Pokemon, but Dawn the human died with her Empoleon. What was left over is what caused this. All of this." "My story isn't unique; not even close. I believe that you love Pokemon with every fiber of your being, and something inside you won't let you refuse to join a team like this." Realizing how far he had rambled, and how long he had been speaking, he shrunk back, his introverted side asserting itself once again. "I need to sit down." He walked over to Absolution, and sat next to him, stroking his back gently. The Pokemon settled next to him defensively, glaring this way and that.

"Well, that answers that question," Sarcus said as Miki burst into the room, just behind Raito. He smiled when he saw her, but it faded upon hearing the last few things she said. “I-I don’t know if I’m s-strong enough a-anymore… After w-what h-happened… A-and h-how I c-could have b-betrayed Dusk… For Raito…” Sarcus thought for a moment. He reached out to put his hand on her shoulder, but reconsidered halfway through the gesture, and let it fall. "Look, Miki, I'll be honest. I have no idea if you are strong enough, or brave enough, to do this. I don't know for certain if I am, either. However, that's the whole purpose of joining up with Team Dusk; so we can live in a world where you don't need to be brave or powerful to be happy. A world where you can simply do what you love doing; whether that would be battling, competing in Contests, breeding Pokemon, or something else. The only way to pave the way for the people that wouldn't be able to do this IS to do this, and, well, you're here. You got a lot farther than some people I've known." That called up some unpleasant memories, but he forcibly suppressed them. They were long gone. "You love your Pokemon, too. You don't see Raito as a tool to increase your status in the world, or a weapon to use against people. You see him the same way I see him; as a friend and partner. That's why I decided to join Dusk; so people can treat Pokemon that way again without fear."

Also, please don't get pissed at me for godmodding. ACUs are pretty damn powerful, and I intend on utilizing their capabilities. Within reason, of course. -
Alina quickly shooed the students away from where Jake had been laying. "Come on now, nothing to see here, Jake will be fine," she said as she urged them away. "Now, whoever wants to specialize in Psychic magic, follow me." After waiting a moment for students to gather near her, she led the way down the hall to another room. The room was roughly the same size as the previous one, but that was where the resemblance ended. There were simple cushions instead of desks, and the room was darkened, lit by candlelight. There were objects of various shapes and sizes around the edges of the room. Alina gestured for the class to come in. "Sit or stand, whichever one you find better for concentration." The class obeyed, with most students electing to use the cushions. Sarcus and a couple others remained standing. "Now, what we're going to learn first is one of the more basic elements of psychic magic: sending your thoughts to someone else. . ."

Sarcus, trying to avoid notice as much as possible due to his earlier situation, quietly moved to stand with Alina. He was still deciding between offensive and healing magic, but he had settled on wanting to use psychic power. It had various applications, all of which he could apply tactically in a battle. Upon seeing Jake's behavior, he simply shook his head slightly. One should show a little more respect for one's teachers. . . did he just fall over? He walked over to the fallen Trainer, and stooped over him, trying to figure out what had caused this. It quickly became apparent. "He's got a nasty bump on his head." He wilted slightly at Emerald's rage, which just happened to be directed exactly in his direction due to his position. However, he took a breath, and turned to face Emerald. "I know we share an opinion of this kid, but he needs some help here. I'm not sure how, but he seems to have seriously hurt himself somehow." Not like he deserved it, or anything, with what he was trying to do to Gallant and Grace.
