  1. I might try this one out. Sarcus again, but this time I'll be a Skarmory guardian.
  2. "I thought I had heard something about that. My dad is a Dragon Tamer; he met and battled Emerald once. Apparently he's amazingly skilled. Who's Shimmer?" Sarcus asked as he walked with Grace. "And do you know the way to P.E.? I've never been here before; I just arrived on this island earlier today."
  3. Sarcus awoke groggily. He blinked a bit, and tried to stretch. Upon doing this, he discovered that his arms were bound behind his back, which were in turn around a chair. His brow furrowed, trying to remember how he had ended up here. His mind was a bit hazy and slow; an uncomfortable feeling. An image came into his head, of men gunning down a scientist and his partner with tranquilizers, before doing the same to him. The Church. Tranquilizers. My partner. Absolution! He looked frantically around the room for his Absol, as his heart rate doubled. Breathing heavily from the sudden panic, he stopped for a moment. He shrugged his shoulders around, trying to feel if his knives were still there. Damn. They had obviously searched him. Though he had been thinking about this very situation for most of his life, he had no idea how to proceed from this point. He had assumed that his knives were hidden well enough; evidently they weren't. He didn't even have the Great Ball that was his partner's home while they were in cities. He felt naked. He paused momentarily to be relieved that it was only a feeling. Resigning himself to his fate, the fate that his parents had befallen a decade ago, he steeled himself for what was to come. He still had to know his partner was okay, though. "I don't care what the Church decides to do with me, just please let me know my Absol is okay," he shouted as loudly as he could. "I know that you people want to finish what you started, but don't bring Absolution into this. He isn't responsible for anything." Sarcus had decided that he would wait until they had talked to him at least once before attempting to escape this place. His eyes blurred. They've probably killed him. Attacking a Church soldier, shame on him. Shame on me for even bringing him into town.
  4. YES PLEASE! I'd change mine all of the time, but yes please. There'd need to be an option to turn them off, though.
  5. I would ask but one: I have only been here for like three days and two: I have had no contact with you beyond one post in the shiny thread. You seem like a really cool person, though. (And when I say cool, I mean a nice person who would be good to hang out with. A good person.)
  6. "Not necessarily. I meant more of a momentary respite, but eventually, yes. I'm not positive about it, but I'm pretty sure the person I was here to meet wanted to talk to me about Team Dusk. I get the feeling that you might be here for the same reason." Assuming you're not a Church spy, he added to himself. With the thought, he unconsciously checked the knives sheathed under his arms, then reached over to pet Absolution. The Dark-type stretched under his hand, then stood. He glanced down at his partner, and they shared a small nod. "I think we've waited here long enough." He very carefully looked out of the alleyway, checking if anyone was looking in their direction. When he saw no one, he waved Miki forward. "Let's go." ((I'm assuming Miki would run to the area with (or ahead of) Sarcus. DarkLight said she would go with it, so I don't think that counts as bunnying.)) Sarcus and his partner panted as they arrived at what he assumed was the origin of the blast. "Well... that... explains the noise," he heaved. "You two are fast. I'll die of exhaustion before the Church gets me, trying to keep up with you," he said in a light -if somewhat breathless- tone. "Oh, shit." This last statement came as he saw a man in a white lab coat collapse a ways down the street, with what looked like a dart in his back. The men that appeared to be the ones who fired the dart rushed down the street at them, taking aim. "SUCKER PUNCH!" he shouted, and his Absol complied, darting forward and knocking out one of the gunners. He didn't have a chance to give another order, as both he and his Pokemon were hit with darts. No one avoids the Church forever. . . he thought as his vision went dark. --------------------------------------------------- "Oh, shit," Silver said as the scientist collapsed. Two people, both with Pokemon in tow, had run into the middle of the street and stopped to watch the scientist crumple into a heap. "You know what to do. We can't have people bringing the Church down on our heads. Looks like we're taking two extra people in." The men ran down the street, taking aim at the duo and their Pokemon. One of the gunners was knocked out by the Absol, but it was too late. Darts sunk into the four, and they all slumped to the ground. ---------------------------------------------------- ((Was that OK? Tell me if it wasn't, and I'll edit it.))
  7. "Thanks," Sarcus whispered. He read through the note twice, then patted himself down. He always lost his pencil. Locating one at last, he scratched his reply on the back of the note in sloppy handwriting. He held the note out to his side, toward Grace. It read: Thanks again for the quick overview. The material doesn't seem too difficult. This Team Shadow actually killed people? They sound a lot more dangerous than Aqua and Magma from home. Looks like we have the same schedule, too. After writing the note, he opened up the textbook and started reading from the beginning, skipping the introduction. He intended to read it later when he had more time. "Alright, time for the quiz!" Alina shouted as she began handing out the papers. Sarcus closed the textbook and put it under his chair after marking his place. "You know the rules; no peeking, no notes, no using Psychic-types to steal answers." Sarcus quickly filled out the quiz, picked it up, and put it down on the teacher's desk. It appeared that he was one of the first students to finish it. He returned to his seat, pulled the textbook back out from under the chair, and began reading until the teacher began speaking again.
  8. Wailord. That signature is just excessive.
  9. That seems like a good way to bring the groups together. Mind if I piggyback off of that?
  10. I know a RP that works just fine with people playing the "bad guys" (though in that one there ARE no "good guys).
  11. When you forget who has Levitate and who doesn't.
  12. "It'd be rather difficult NOT to hear that," Sarcus quipped. Immediately after saying that, he mentally berated himself. He had aimed for humor but hit rudeness instead. He grimaced, then moved on. "I would want to go find out, but the crowd over there probably noticed too, and I'm not exactly comfortable with the idea of Church members finding out I'm here." Sarcus paused for a moment, thinking. "Miki," he asked, tentatively saying the foreign name, "maybe we should wait a bit, then go figure out what that was? Then we can get to someplace where simply being there isn't grounds for reeducation." Now it's 'we?' he asked himself mentally. Why not? he retorted to himself. Who knows? We might be here for the same reason, though recent events may affect my decision on that particular matter.
  13. Sounds fine to me. I've already got a Roll20 account, so we should be good. My connection should be fixed by the sunday after this one, too.
