  1. Hiroki will Unleash Hell on the Emiter, then issue a Divine Challenge to the Grand BBQed Lahmu.
  2. "Well? Not much point in waiting." Shinobu put one hand on her sword, the air around her already starting to heat up as she strode forward toward the doors of the structure. "They're in here, and I'm gonna rip them apart!" She sounded a bit too excited at the prospect, though Rei at least would know that Shinobu had never been the type to avoid a good fight. A young Torakuma had gotten in quite a few scraps with the boys on the playground, and the attitude had never quite gone away. Though now, there was a rather darker cast to it. . . When she got to the door, she threw it open none too gently, daring whatever was within to attack.
  3. "Okay. Good." She felt reasonably assured that Octavia was doing this (or rather, not doing this) out of her own self-interest. She saw the glimpse of sorrow in the other girl's face, but wasn't really sure how to react to it. It was a good thing she wasn't a Witch, right? I wish Victoria was here. She would know what to do. She almost slapped herself at the thought. Careless wishing was what lead to all this; she would much rather Victoria was anywhere but here, even though the odds of her even being alive any more were vanishingly slim. I don't really have time to cry about this right now. Haruka squeezed her eyes shut again, taking a brief moment to compose herself. "So what do we do now? I don't want to fight, but I don't want to die, either."
  4. Haruka shook her head, before realizing that the motion might not be interpreted how she wanted. "I don't want to fight at all any more. Especially since you're not a Witch." I thought I was finally done, at least. I guess there's still more fighting to do, if this Beta isn't lying. Haruka didn't trust the creature. Granted, she'd never known Kyubey to lie, necessarily. . . but that didn't mean it told the truth. Yes, it had said only Incubators riled Veronica up, but until it said plainly that it wasn't one, she wouldn't even begin to trust it. As she pondered the creature's motivations, a thought occurred to her. The armored magical girl tilted her head slightly, her expression suddenly shifting to. . . well, neither suspicious nor curious was quite the right term, it was some place in the middle. She fixed Octavia with an ocean-blue gaze. "Are you sure you don't actually want to fight me? Do you actually know why?"
  5. Haruka returned the bow out of instinct, somewhat belatedly realizing that her conversational partner was probably not actually doing it as a greeting. "My name is Puella Magica Haruka☆Lorica." She frowned for a moment. That. . . wasn't quite what she'd meant to say. Still, it was far from the weirdest thing she'd noticed in the last fifteen minutes or so, though it was only the second one that was about herself personally. The first, of course, being that she was alive, unless this was some twisted self-deception to cover up what could very well be the horrible reality. . . She shut her eyes tightly, shaking her head. I was in my house. "Sorry. I was thinking. It's, uh, good to meet you, Octavia. I think. I don't really understand what's going on." There was a bit of an edge to her voice; even if the peaceful nature of the immediate surroundings was calming, to an extent - I've read a book with something like this - the entire nature of the situation and the possibilities it presented were distressing. "What is Beta?"
  6. Haruka started to relax slightly, letting the bottom of the shield rest in the soil beneath her feet. The other voice had her curious; was there a third magical girl here? She had no idea what was going on; as far as she knew, she should be dead or worse. "Is there someone else here?" she asked, glancing between the newcomer and Kyubey before shaking her head. "And, are you sure? He would never leave me alone when I wanted him to." Still, she sighed, tilting her head back toward the vile little creature. "Kyubey, could you leave, for once? She'll just blow you up otherwise and I'm not going to stop her." To her total surprise, the cat-like creature actually started to pad away. Haruka blinked, then shook her head again. The thing probably had some kind of ulterior motive. . . or it was going to hide just around the corner. Either way, Kyubey vanished from sight as it walked down the other side of the hill, sitting at the edge of the tiny realm they currently stood in and watching the others with an unblinking stare. Haruka looked back toward the other magica girl and shrugged, waiting for a response.
  7. Jade waits to attack until Soryn does. . . Isobel offers Liliya a healing poppy, helping her to recover [23] HP. LOTUS, meanwhile, helps Soryn find his way to the front. Soryn drains more. . . whatever it was, that flowed through Tiamat, managing to extract precious vital energy and damaging her for [14]. The wound lingers, creating a lasting bleeding effect. Jade fires a shot at the second Bel Lahmu, finally putting the beast out of its misery. Liliya slashes Greater Lahmu B, cutting it open for [22] damage. Spicy hits Tiamat with another flurry of strikes for [10] damage, while Dackly follows up with a petrifying glare, inflicting [17] Hate Stacks! The combined effect seems to render Tiamat more brittle, causing each instance of incoming damage to deal 1 more! Dackly gives Gozer a spear to match the one held by the first Greater Lahmu, and he attacks with it, dealing [60] damage! The barrier detonates, blasting him with stolen vampiric magic for 23 damage. The lesser lahmu scramble forth, both electing to leap at different targets. Soryn is scored across a cheek for [9] damage, and Spicy receives a bite on the leg for [8]. The two greater lahmu both make a beeline for Jade, but are rebuffed by Lexiel's wall. Their scrabbling and stabbing deals [21] damage to the barrier. Lexiel summons another Soul Warden, causing twin pulses of healing to roll across the battlefield. Tiamat bleeds. Initiative Status
  8. Atton somehow inspires Venus enough to heal the mad artist by [24] points, his tendency to talk about the horrific probably playing to his favor. The second Bel Lahmu is dead and probably should have been deleted from the initiative. Bridgett unleashes a blast of FRIENDSHIP, dealing [32] damage to Tiamat, and one of each variety of Lahmu. The smallest of the beasts barely clings to life, sans the unnaturally human limb. The shell of the larger landlocked one seems to absorb some of the damage. The flying beast, though shaken by the magical assault and dragged downward by Friedhold, still skims the ground to strike the scientist twice in quick succession for [4] and [12] damage. Friedhold contributes some firepower to Alexandria. Venus, instead of actually acknowledging the monsters literally chewing on his face, chooses instead to marvel at the beauty of the horrible mockery of the human form that was Tiamat, before firing a single shot in her direction. The beast doesn't react, but a fountain of a black something spurts from her side as she takes [92!] damage. The monsters chewing on Venus's face continue to do so, dealing a total of [35] damage. Ritsu kills the fuck out of one of them, saving Venus's ankles. She also recovers the health she was supposed to last time she healed. The Greater Lahmu charges with a roar sounding more like manic laughter, surplus limbs clawing and snatching. Pulling its way free of the gravity well Friedhold threw, it strikes him for [16] damage, before flailing into Venus for [17]. Edmond adds his own expertise to the cannon. Alexandria guards, probably wishing her teammates would stand behind the protective hexagons. Initiative Status
  9. Everything was tumbling down. Everyone around her, everyone she met, it felt like their lives fell apart as soon as she touched them now. And now this? Pain wracked her, mentally and then physically, as the once-bluish gemstone finally turned black as the void. . . She awoke on a small hill with a flat top, the occasional strange flower dotting the grass. A tree with silvery bark and leaves - no, the leaves were green on top - decorated the top of the hill, and provided shade to a small tent made of some greenish material. It wasn't quite like anything she had seen, but it seemed familiar to her, somehow. . . She wasn't given much time to contemplate the sights around her, though, even if they begged for further consideration, as a flash of hostile light burned its way into the ground next to her. Haruka jumped in startlement, armor coalescing around her in response to the sudden assault. An armor-plated dress appeared, alongside a towering shield and a strange weapon that seemed to be the midpoint between a bayoneted rifle and a lance. She moved to cover herself with the shield, before realizing from her attacker's words that the it wasn't intended for her at all. "You know that won't do any good, right? He just keeps coming back." She shuffled away from the creature with a muffled clanking. Haruka didn't exactly care for Kyubey, but she also didn't dislike the thing's presence enough to kill it on sight. Still, she kept her guard up, shield at the ready in case this strange magical girl mistook her ambivalence for protectiveness, or if she was the type that didn't tolerate competition for prey. She peered over the shield at the stranger, watching, waiting for her next move as she tried to gather up the power she'd thought was depleted.
  10. Kyou shifted a bit at the question. She hadn't done much of anything yesterday, and she still felt a bit awkward about what had happened with the "training." She felt justified, in a way, but she probably shouldn't be making a habit of punching her teammates in the face. "I'm okay, I guess." She'd told her father about what was going on, and his reaction was. . . basically nothing. He'd just sort of sighed and mumbled about her being safe. They hugged, but there was something lacking. She supposed everything was just as fresh for him as it was for her.
  11. He could be bluffing. Was that a risk he was willing to take? He couldn't tell from this angle if he was actually wearing a bomb; Elias supposed that if it had been easy enough to tell, the man wouldn't have been allowed to enter in the first place. Though, regardless of that. . . "I don't believe that's up to me. You'll have to convince the lady yourself, I think." She was clearly more capable than he'd thought, but this was a delicate situation. If he could just get close enough, he could likely subdue the man before he had the chance to detonate the device, but such a thing wasn't sure. He glanced at Priscilla, and then let his gaze linger for a long while. If you made a show of submitting, made sure his attention was fully on you, I could close the gap. He nodded at her, faintly, hoping that she interpreted it the way he hoped. She made a scene, then he got close and put the man down while he was distracted: that was the plan. . . . That, or that she didn't' wait and just put a bullet between the man's eyes before Elias could do anything. Sure, it'd be a bit of a mess to clean up, but it'd solve this problem rather neatly otherwise.
  12. Chelchis rumbled thoughtfully at the damage. "CABLES, FIXABLE. BOARD, LESS FIXABLE. NEED A NEW ONE." She left the bot in place for the time being; once she had her crew, she'd have them strip the bot for useful parts. For now, they did have a job to do. They still hadn't found access to the mainframe, and in hindsight going to the landing bay was likely not the best route for doing so. Chelchis heads toward the rail transit entrance.
  13. Divine Challenge on Greater BBQ Lahmu, and activate Hellfire Mantle, granting 6 damage reduction and dealing 12 damage to anything attacking her, but disabling her actions.
  14. Shukuchi on the Dragon's tail, going for a tail cut. Should deal (14+(14-6)+13 from perk+4d4)*2 damage.
  15. "Please." Shinobu seemed annoyed at the Executioner's hesitance, but then again she was giving the local cloud cover a glare that seemed to indicate her irritation at it continue to exist. "I'm ready to strut my stuff against as many of those things as you want me to tear apart, and then some." A note of pride, or perhaps more accurately arrogance, entered her voice at that, though it was still masked over by suppressed anger. "I've been waiting."
  16. Chelchis gave Roy the kind of look that, in a person, would have come with a raised eyebrow. Or so he thought, anyway; Chelchis was both wearing a full-face mask and lacked eyebrows. "DID NOT THINK MACHINE WOULD BE SO EASY TO DEACTIVATE." She strode toward it, holstering her weapon for now, then started to climb up the frame, four arms moving her up fairly effortlessly. Chelchis climbs onto the robot and looks for the power source, as to disconnect it and prevent the thing from reactivating while they aren't looking.
  17. The girl in question, toting her own set of horns, seemed to be quite literally smoldering with anger about something. "If they'd just make the damn directions clear, there wouldn't be a problem at all." The air seemed to get warmer as she approached, cooling slightly as she took another deep breath. "Anyway. Tonight's supposed to be a fun one, right? I've been waiting for this."
  18. "OLD MACHINES PREDICTABLE. UNFORTUNATE. YOU MAY WANT TO TAKE COVER." Chelchis prepares to Blink, while also trying to break the machine's line of sight on her.
  19. Shoot the trebuchet at the mostly-uninjured Siege Ogre as well as anything near it, and bank another action.
