  1. Secret service? The hell. . . ? The secret service had no reason to be here, unless they knew about Lilith's actual identity. In which case, this woman went from extremely helpful to. . . well, an unknown factor. "Arturia Eberhardt, like I said before. I'm just a student at the Opium Institute." She had a bad feeling about this, but she wasn't sure if it was actually about the woman or just because she had rapidly gone from someone attempting to press her into child prostitution to someone else supernaturally scaring the everliving shit out of her, not long after recovering from a hospital stay. "You're from Nayo?"
  2. Hiroki took a step back in startlement, nearly falling over due to her disguise in the process. She'd considered not wearing the thing, especially since she knew it was largely pointless due to the very public instances of her being in the ring without it, but it was familiar. It felt safe, even if it restricted her movement. This, though? This wasn't safe. Was this some sort of twisted joke? A test? "Aries," she began in her grating artificial voice after taking several moments to recover, "the Tenth is. . . dangerous. Unstable. She tried to kill her favorite competitor." She kept silent about her own role in that matter; Hiroki, at least, had the assurance that one or more gods would intervene before she actually hurt Supernova.
  3. Kyou shook her head. If she came up with something, she could ask later, but right now she was still feeling tired and angry at Asuka, and didn't want to have another outburst; she was already starting to feel a little embarrassed about taking a swing at the girl like that, even if what she'd done in the simulation had hurt like hell. After a moment of watching the situation and finally catching her breath, though, Kyou's tired expression turned into a slightly more focused frown. "Where's Ranga?"
  4. "No, it was, uh, nothing important." Morgan quickly shuffled the two jars back into their pack with a motion that managed to simultaneously look panicked and practiced.
  5. Silef's expression twisted in irritation at Edmond's question, and almost immediately a voice rang out from across the room; the healer who had been shooed off just a little bit ago. "Lady Silef, you haven't fully recovered yet, you can't-" "Enough!" the lord said, her head whipping about to face the mage. "I've made my decision already, and your continued insolence is beginning to try my patience." "Milady, I'm only doing my best to preserve you and your family. You're the only one left." Tired patience, and more than a bit of sorrow echoed in the man's voice. "I know that. You think I haven't considered that? Tell me; if this battle is lost, what is going to happen?" "We regroup and plan another attack. Please, Lady Silef, you can't keep risking yourself like this." "Silence. I've made my choice. If this battle is lost, so too is the world. You know this as well as I." No response came from the healer save another mournful look. The lord turned her attention back to Edmond. "You can count on my assistance for your battle. I will pass along this information to my diviners. Deliver my thanks to your lords."
  6. It didn't take long to find a liveried and rather harried-looking servant to guide him to Silef; the young man seemed almost glad to find the distraction. Silef herself was in the war room proper, and batted away a healer at Edmond's approach; it seemed that the previous battle had left the lord rather worse for wear. "King of Heroes? A lofty title, that one. That should be enough information for my diviners-" she gestured at a robed and hooded woman, who nodded "-to track down his exact location, though I doubt he's moved from the mines. Not nearly as much information as I could have hoped, but expect a minimum of an exact position soon." Her emerald gaze remained intense. "Did you have anything else for me?"
  7. Nobunaga looked as if she'd actually been holding her breath, with a forceful exhalation coming in response to the question. "Ah, finally, I thought you were never going to ask! Well, you may be from different worlds, and therefore might not know - or have - the one known as the King of Heroes, but otherwise I would be shocked if you hadn't heard of the original hero. The oldest written work known to man, the Epic of Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh, among numerous other things of varying moral status, supposedly owned every treasure known to man. So of course, the Servant Gilgamesh does too - in tacky gold versions, of course. The progenitors of every single Noble Phantasm made by the hands of men; that is the Gate of Babylon. Though this time he's a Caster, so he seems to prefer all sorts of magical nonsense. I've been wanting to test my Sanzen Sekai against it for ages! Just wait for all the arguments about that one, it'll be great."
  8. Kusuke cleared his throat awkwardly, his eyes flicking back and forth; he was trying to simultaneously not ogle her, and look at her to see just how bad it was, as she'd asked. "It's um, er. . . Well, it's not see-through because your kimono's dyed, at least." Satomi's fiddling with the garment only drew more attention toward her figure, and at this point he was outright blushing at it. "Uh, I could probably help dry you off. By skipping your clothes forward, i mean. With you in them. I'm not asking you to strip." He half-considered asking her to slap him; it might snap him out of this horrible awkwardness, at least.
  9. Lucine continued to try and maintain a "natural" expression, which for the twelve-year-old made it look rather like she'd been caught with a hand in the cookie jar and was trying to pretend she was merely cleaning it. "Umm, yeah, you could say that. I can hold a lot of mana at once because I have a lot of really high quality magic circuits." That much was true, at least. A noise from her bag caused her to thump it a bit. "I'm a little hopeless with actually using them, though. . ."
  10. Karsten shrugged. He'd heard a bit of her story, but her family business wasn't any of his. He just pulled out a business card and flicked it though the air toward the woman before turning to walk away. "Give me a call when you learn anythin', then. I've got my own set of those to make already." He glanced at Kazuki. "You gonna be able to keep him under control, or am I gonna have to solve that problem myself?" He didn't make an effort to sound threatening, but it was clear anyway. The bounty hunter gestured at Kazuki, indicating he should follow him.
  11. Gate of Babylon. At the question of control by Caster, the Lancer plush merely shook its head. Meanwhile, Nobunaga was starting to look almost offended.
  12. "Alright, I'll do it then!" She still wasn't honestly sure why he liked it; Zentilin was far from the first one to hate her cooking, though most people had been rather less vehement about it. Still, she was happy that someone seemed to feel the other way about it.
  13. "Aw, you guys were nice enough to schedule some entertainment fer me? C'mon, Ecquis, let's have some fun." X7, equip Devil Lance
  14. Morgan seemed startled at being spoken to, jumping noticeably where they sat and nearly fumbling one of their jars. "H-huh? Oh, it was, um, nothing, I was just thinking about something."
  15. Kage tilted his head back toward Yoshirou. "Suit yourself. I've got nothing better to do, and I'll go insane if I just sit around. When the witch is dead before you get back, you'll know why." He heard the sound of Elizabeth hopping over the fence, but didn't immediately process what it meant. Instead, he sighed slightly before catching himself; writing his number for people was a pain in the ass, and it had actually become more of one since he rather abruptly regained his sight. Still, he pulled out a bit of notebook paper from a pocket and un-crumpled it, before slowly and painstakingly scrawling a set of numbers on it. "Here. Just call me if you need a rescue, or something." Kage held the note out in Yoshirou's direction.
  16. Artura sniffled again (really it was a fairly unattractive sound) and wiped at her face for a final time before pulling herself to her feet, and offering Lilith a hand too. She glanced at the younger girl; she didn't seem to have an issue with the woman coming in. What the hell have I gotten myself into, here. . . ? Everything she'd encountered today had been. . . unexpected, to say the least. She mostly wanted to go home right now, but she figured that she could get and hold it together long enough to weather the remainder of whatever happened today. Arturia took a deep breath, and then exhaled in a sigh, starting to speak at the tail end of such. "So. Now what?"
  17. The magical girl scratched her head a bit. She'd sort of dozed off during that lesson. . . "I don't even know if it's really a thing. Supposedly it's where all of the Mystery in the world is going, or something. It's supposed to be, um, how did that guy put it. . . a "layer of reality" underneath the real world? And then underneath that is the actual planet itself. Humans can't survive there, since it's full of Phantasmal Beasts and might just not allow them to anyway, but I don't know if I could. . ." Lucine coughed abruptly. "Er, obviously I couldn't, because I'm a human." She looked about a little shiftily.
  18. "Do you really mean that? I mean, yes, I'll cook for you, but only if you swear this isn't just messing with me or trying to make me feel better at the expense of your stomach."
  19. Viola wiped at her eyes with her sleeve, still sniffling a bit. "It's okay, I already said I wasn't a very good cook. . . Tekeshi, you don't have to keep forcing that down just to make me feel better." Hadn't he already endured enough punishment?
  20. Kusuke's eyes flicked back toward Satomi, resulting in a renewal of his blush and a rather strangled-sounding noise that he managed to convert into clearing his throat. "Your uh, kimono. It's a little, er. . . damp." And clingy. And close enough to see-through to be tantalizing. If he looked hard enough he could probably spot something interesting, but he wasn't nearly enough of a lech to attempt such a thing - and she'd probably impale him for doing so regardless. "It might be a good idea to, er, dry off. For your health and stuff."
  21. The plush doesn't bother typing out a response to the first question, simply shaking its head. A pause, and then hesitant typing, deleting, typing again, with seemingly more difficulty than one would expect. God. More typing, more easily this time; an answer to the third question. The King of Heroes.
  22. "It's. . . I just tried, like you said, you don't have to yell at me." Viola sniffled, trying and failing to fight back tears at Zentilin's shouting. Vivienne's reaction didn't do much to boost her spirits, either; good performance as it was, it wasn't really fooling her. Declaring a vegan diet, and that she couldn't eat anything Viola cooked? "Don't make fun of me," she said disconsolately to Tekeshi, looking down at the ground.
  23. Kage grunted. "Well, I am gonna go find a gap in the fence or some shit. They can't cover the entire park, and it's not like this place has got a good security system any more." The boy started to leisurely stroll toward said fence, judging the height and condition of it along the length. "Or failing that, quietly put a hole in one of the buildings on the edge. I'm stronger than I was before." He was a little surprised at encountering another magical boy as well. A part of him wanted to ask what his situation was. . . and another part was glad that the topic had finally been dropped for the moment.
