Lucine was met with a slight conundrum. Her plan had succeeded, swimmingly as far as she could tell, but a problem was making itself immediately apparent; the only person she could ask about this particular card was the ship's AI. That didn't seem to be a particularly productive course of action, given the AI's garbled replies to most stimuli and that it might elect to try something that would grind up its internals even more. Additionally, she had this odd feeling that she could make the card better somehow, but given that she wasn't even really sure what it did at all yet, that was going to have to wait. Still, it'd worked, and the wave of tiredness that washed over her from the summoning was largely counteracted by her satisfaction in summoning another Class Card from a strange world.
-
Lucine didn't seem particularly keen on grabbing any tools; she wasn't sure if the "able bodied" description applied to kids. Did it? Either way, a far more interesting thought occurred to her. "Law, can I borrow that metal printer for a little bit? I want to try something." Assuming she got what she requested from him - that metal he used would probably work for a ritual circle, and might actually work better than the liquid circle she'd initially planned - she set about preparing a ritual circle that some might've recognized from her earlier summonings. She made sure to drag over a piece of wreckage so that she could point the ritual at the battlecrusier's plating as a catalyst for her Class Card, and soon enough had the ritual for creating one of the cards prepped and ready. She channeled power into it, and after a flash of light, a new card appeared. . .

Kusuke, presumably after discussing plans a bit further, decided to head off and try to whip up some of the aforementioned springs. Satisfied with his results, he brought the springs back to Satomi for her own usage before excusing himself once more. He'd mentioned Magic Element engines, and he'd been pondering them ever since. Somehow, he knew he could build one, in fact he was fairly certain it should be basic to him. He realized two things after some thought; one, that he was fairly certain he did actually remember the basics, and the second was the likely reason why. . . Despite a suddenly blooming headache, he elected to attempt to build one. This world had a lot of ambient magic, so the functionality should be even better than the ones back home.
-
Lucine followed the rest of the party to the location of the "god" with a sullen look on her face. Her abject failure to actually piece together anything about the magic in the scroll was frustrating, and she actually hit Opal (producing an irritated squawk but no real effect otherwise) at one point during the process. Once they actually arrived, though, the wreckage - definitely a more apt descriptor than "god," at least to her view - was an effective distraction. After she took a few moments to gape, and a few extra to wonder if this was going to be like one of those movies where the machines suddenly turned on the humans because of corrupted programming, she spoke up. "Um, should we try to convince it that we don't need any more help right now? If my computer sounded like that I'd definitely turn it off."
-
"We could see if the materials to build some kind of engine. This place has a lot of ambient magic, but I unfortunately don't remember much on how Magic Formula engines work. . ." He frowned for a moment. He could have sworn that he did, but he had no idea why he would think such a thing. He'd never studied up on it. . . Maybe he had, and he just didn't remember right now. "There's also combustion or steam engines, which someone around might actually know how to make one of those. I could try to stick a set of springs into that weird time-vibrating state, too, that could probably provide some sort of usable power."
-
Hiroki winced at the first question. Fighting people without having to kill them. . . She missed it. It didn't feel right, even if she was saving other people. She didn't want to be going around killing people, she just wanted to prove her worth. "It's, um. Nice, I guess. I hate this war." It was strange; she actually missed fighting against the monsters. Though apparently the people in the group had decided to add more monsters to the mix. . . She didn't know what a Squig was, and it didn't sound that scary, but she'd withhold judgement until she saw them. "Um. . . A mech is a mechanical device that helps you fight and protects, um, you from harm until your Favor runs out. You can, um, get one by meditation, but most people use, um, the Divination system to design and modify them."

Naomi simply nodded, and then nodded again at the question of how they were to proceed if things went wrong. She didn't like the idea of an extended operation in Resanti space, especially with how suspicious this particular one was. She didn't share Vixen's thoughts; this could easily be a ploy of some sort, the Resanti hivemind knowing that scouts went in and out of that system and relying on someone getting curious. People always got curious, that was just how they worked. The woman's face betrayed nothing, as always, but the faint anxiety showed in her ears; they were ever so slightly pulled backward, and the tip of her tail twitched occasionally.

[IC] Fate/Reborn 2.0 Second War
Chevaleresse replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Karsten and Assassin "Excellent. I've got a plan for him, so try to stop him from doin' anything egregiously stupid before I get there. Including calling his Servant to him. If he tries to use a Command Seal, stop him. Fastest way would be to hit him in the throat so he can't talk, but if that doesn't work cut his hand off. I'll be there shortly, once I know the other Servant isn't about to come down on my head. Let 'im know what's comin' to him if he tries to pull anything." He headed out, head on a swivel and ready to duck and cover if another Servant appeared. His hand was on his gun; it wouldn't do much against a Servant, but the enchanted bullets might be enough to get them to focus on their Master for long enough that he could escape. -

Hiroki shook her head at the question, frowning. So this Lena couldn't talk? That, or she had some reason to want to hide her voice. . . but she was right here, so it's not like she was hiding anything else, unlike what she herself had been doing. And she didn't see why her being young had to matter, Queen was younger than she was and some of the other gods acted the same even if they were actually older. The spike of irritation showed on her face, before fading and being replaced with some degree of curiosity. . . and then concern at Dackly's words. "No, I'm a, um, tournament fighter. Mech tournaments, that is." She wanted to know what a "Pactmaker was, but there was a rather more pressing question. "More horrific monsters?"
-
Another awkward moment of silence. Hiroki was evidently not particularly good at this whole talking to people thing. Eventually, though, she did happen upon an easier topic of conversation. "What, um, were you guys doing?" As far as she knew, the whole "pop into existence right near everyone else" was something that usually only happened once. Unless they'd turned invisible somehow, but she'd think there would have been a different transition than the one they'd arrived with.

"Um, hi," Hiroki repeated, before taking a moment to silently admonish herself for doing so. "You're, um, Gozer and Dackly, right? I don't know, um, you, though," she said, gesturing at the redheaded girl. Somewhat belatedly, she noticed that she actually stood an inch or two taller than her; an unusual experience for the mechanized fighter, to say the least. Though she'd had mixed experiences with people around her size; one of them was one of her only friends, and the other was a dangerous seeming lunatic who she was destined to fight and kill eventually. Oddly enough, Hiroki seemed more unnerved by the other human in the room, rather than the plant-gorgon and the flaming stone golem.

[IC] Neon Exodus Evangelion Act 2 - Crossing
Chevaleresse replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Well, that was unfortunate. What was the point of this exercise again? It was like playing a video game with a bunch of people who'd never even touched it before (actually, that's almost what it was,) you just roll over them entirely and they don't learn anything. It was frustrating, to say the least. She picked herself up off the ground, trying to do so as quietly as it was possible to do in a massive robot. . . thing. She tried to move into position behind Asuka, and waited for her to open up an attack on Beverly before commencing the most elaborate and advanced of combat maneuvers: the backstab.- 180 replies

"I'm trying to do my best to be helpful today, and unless you've decided to build the wall out of high explosives or something it's probably less likely to result in me being seriously injured than helping anyone else. I don't think you've gotten the sudden urge to emulate the rest of the party, anyway." He stretched his arms a bit. "What kind of help are you looking at needing? I can probably just help break rocks, but I feel like there's a faster way we could do that. Maybe jackhammers? You were asking about those earlier, and I don't remember the specifics on how they work but I'm pretty sure we could figure them out. Just need a power source, really."
-
The trio emerged close enough to Hiroki to elicit a noticeable jump of startlement from her; you'd think that she'd be used to strange people appearing out of thin air at this point, but this was not the case. She'd been idly searching for some peace and quiet, drifting away from the conversation in the other room. As it were, she took a moment to steady herself, then awkwardly waved at the two. She didn't recognize the girl, but she was fairly certain she at least remembered Gozer and Dackly's introduction if nothing else. "Um, hi," she said somewhat hesitantly.
