  1. Lucine wandered after the main group, with no real destination in mind. She only vaguely recognized most of the people there, and she couldn't recall having much of a meaningful conversation with any of them. Plus, this village was neat and all, but she'd liked the last place a lot more. It had more cool guns, whereas this one just reminded her a bit of the outskirts of Trifas. Which wasn't a terrible thing, she supposed, since she had been missing home a bit. . . Still, one of the people around had at least been nice to her for a short amount of time, so Tim found himself being tailed by a magical girl in whatever he happened to be doing at the time.

  3. [Mode: Prediction] [Chip Select: Vulcan D, Tornado D] [Use: Vulcan D (1hs/20)] [Wait: 2 hs (3 hs/20)] [Use: Tornado D (7 hs/20)] [Wait: 13 hs]
  4. Kyou's answer to "are you ready" would have been something to the tune of "No," or possibly "Isn't that why we're here?" Instead, she simply skittered off to the side as Satomi had suggested. Uh, AT field, right, put that up. Well, skitter might have been an odd verb to apply to her hulking, somewhat asymmetric EVA, but that's what she was at least attempting to do. She tried to find a building to hide behind, and then waited for Asuka to look distracted before she charged her, preparing her knife for said eventuality.
  5. Hiroki nodded slowly. "Um, I think I've seen some transforming mech designs, it, um, probably wouldn't be too hard to come up with a solution to it." She tried to think back to the competition to remember the particulars. Transforming mechs weren't particularly common, really; it was a lot of effort to put in, and usually it took the form of popping out of an external suit of some variety rather than a total form change.
  6. Kusuke side-eyed the interaction around the newcomer, but elected not to comment for the time being. Alyssa didn't typically act this way, but it seemed enough people were already commenting. Instead, he turned his focus to the dryad. "Past what they've got, all that's left that I want to know can probably wait. With the exception of two questions, actually; have you seen a shifty guy with a mask around here? The second is just what you want us to do for you."
  7. "Restrain him or kill him if you wish. I've little reason to care what happens to him after this point, as long as he does not continue to interfere." Mask turned to the people who remained in the square, whether out of curiosity, fear of whatever force was keeping them there, or just plain stupidity. "You may go about your business. Those that are ill may follow that girl back to our ship; the. . . 'doctor' should be able to give you some small assistance." Without another word, Mask then moved off toward the manor, keeping watch for any more animated trash.
  8. "I'll send you a message with the details later. It has some sort of moving fortress, otherwise it's quite mundane for a Sanctuary. Anyway, now that this is dealt with, I have other places I need to be today. Try to be quick with that message; I'm not the only one running this sort of thing in this city, and not everyone else doing so has the city's best interests in mind." And with that, she gave a short wave of farewell, and walked to the edge of the rooftop before vaulting over the side nigh-silently.
  9. "If all else fails, I can try to work something out. Pull some favors, I've got a couple people who'd be willing if you can't pull a group together. Would help if I had a good way to contact you, though." She produced a pen and paper from a note pocket, and quickly scrawled out a phone number on it before handing it over to Immanuel. "For when you need to contact me. Try to keep it to business, though, I'm a busy woman."
  10. Ahmed's reaction was enough to turn Kyou's already somewhat embarrassed expression into something best described as "tomato-esque." She made a somewhat distressed-sounding noise before working up the capacity for speech once more. "I-I mean, you're telling me, I just wanted to wear my jacket, but instead they shove me in this, fuckin', ugh." Kyou skittered toward her plug, in an effort to be in any situation other than the one currently happening. Unfortuntely for Ahmed, he wasn't nearly as subtle with his looks and avoided looks as he was probably trying to be.
  11. "Good to hear you have something resembling a team already." The French woman - her accent sounded French, anyway, if rather more clipped than the typical - tried to keep the dubiousness out of her voice. Calling it a team in any sort sounded like a generous descriptor, from the way the man spoke, but she would take what she could get. Besides, they'd already demonstrated some level of competence. "Now that we've taken care of that, I need to know if you can help me with something. Investigating a Sanctuary, specifically. Seems like a Mononoke nest of some kind in there, and the Card Emperors were after something inside. I can send you more of the details later, if you're willing to look into it for me, of course."
  12. "I should be able to resolve that fairly quickly, if you can't contact him yourself. I'd prefer to get involved as indirectly as possible, but it shouldn't be too difficult to get a private phone number. Speaking of, who else was with you on that plane? The reports I've heard aren't entirely complete, and half of them are passed through the filter anyway. Much better to hear it from one that was there."
  13. Myrdwyn gave the shifty convoy man a dubious look. "I guess. This'd better be good."
  14. "Call me Crow, at least until we get to know each other better." She took on an expression of concerned thought as she spoke, though. "Already dead, though? That's odd, though nothing I haven't seen before. More bad news for the Card Emperors, though, which is good news for us; whoever gave them their last batch of gear must not have liked them much." The woman was silent for another second or two, gaze drifting aimlessly downward, before she glanced back up at the armored man before her. "I don't suppose you kept contact with that Tor, did you? I've got a lead on something that might be worth investigating, and I don't want to send anyone in alone if I can help it."
  15. Kyou waited until the other girls were changed to slink in and start the process herself. At least the color scheme was something she might've picked out herself. . . Not for personal wear, though. The blue was just a tad too bright. the magenta just a little too much contrast, but neither of those things were the main problem. No, apparently instead of slapping her into a set of fatigues or something (which she would have been perfectly happy with,) they just had to be skintight latex bodysuits. She slid the thing on, half wishing that she would tear it in the process so she'd have an excuse to return to her baggy jackets and jeans. Fortunately or unfortunately, they had her sizes correct, and so she just sort of. . . awkwardly crept out of the changing room,, resisting the urge to cover herself. At the very least, if anyone had been operating under the mistaken thought that Kyou was a boy, it would be abundantly clear that she was not.
  16. "Nothing like that. I wanted to ask you for help. You seem interested in keeping this city safe, which is what I've made my business. Besides, as far as I can tell, nobody at the level of the police in town knows who you are yet, and somehow I doubt they necessarily want to send the man who just thwarted a terrorist attack to jail immediately." Jumpy, he was. Perhaps she should have done her approach differently, but in her defense she'd been on this rooftop far before he got here. "Now, how much do you already know about the men that initiated that attack?"
  17. She shook her head, avoiding the urge to sigh to herself. Not the way she would have done it. Too messy, too showy, and generally just inelegant. The situation was defused, though, the woman supposed, and more conveniently the individual that she'd wanted to speak with had flown to the very roof she'd concealed herself on top of. Immanuel would find that he shared the rooftop with a woman, a woman previously rather difficult to notice due to her near-motionlessness and excellent camouflage. She had a rifle of some sort hung loosely about her, and she raised her right hand in a gesture that indicated both greeting and a lack of threat. An older woman, too, by the looks of it; at the very least, the lines on her face and the silver tone of her hair seemed to indicate such. "Hello there, Challenger One. I've been trying to catch up to you since that flight, I've got a few things to discuss with you."
  18. "Um, sort of? I know a lot about how stuff like this, um, works, but I don't really modify things by hand." She side-eyed the plush nervously. It was definitely moving on its own; were they sure it was harmless? She, was harmless? The plush didn't really look that threatening, and Hiroki only got a vaguely sad(?) impression from it. She shuffled about on the bed a bit, both moving away from the thing slightly and getting a better angle to look at the armor from. "What were, um, you planning on doing with this?"
