Mitsurugi thought for a moment, the slightly puzzled expression remaining on her face. Navin was troubled by the killing he had to do. Not a strange concept, in and of itself, but one she'd always had difficulty relating to. She was a guardian spirit, and a governor of nature's wrath; killing was simply something that had to be done, on occasion. It was a part of her function, a part of who and what she fundamentally was, in a way. It was difficult for her to place herself in the shoes of a man who seemed so bothered by it. Still, it would be unbecoming of her to reject the attempt entirely, especially since Mhasalkar had already done his best to comfort her. "Please, tell me. If you believe it will be helpful for you, anyway; I would not want to put you through such pain for no reason."

Mask continues to fight silently, focusing less on actually trying to hit the man and more trying to restrict and corral his movement so he can be driven into a corner and then finished.

Kusuke followed Satomi in her explorations. "That's a solenoid, I think. You run electricity through it, and it makes a magnetic field. Weird, I wouldn't have expected that from a place like this." It occurred to him that Satomi likely didn't know much about electricity or magnetism, but his attention was drawn by the thing that was the source of the feeling that'd led them down here in the first place. "What is that?" he asked, not really expecting an answer. It had to be pretty damned magically powerful in order to get his attention from so far away. He briefly considered leaving it alone, but figured he could just reset if anything went wrong. Kusuke takes the heart, but rewinds if anything horrible happens.

Mitsurugi's expression shifted slightly, betraying her confusion. Clearly something was distressing the man, and from his words it seemed to stem from his own actions. . . but what? "May I ask why you would say such a thing?" While she had to admit, he did not seem particularly quick on the uptake, at least when it came to her interactions with him, but that did not mean he was an unintelligent man in other respects. She couldn't think of anyone who had been hurt recently - other than the enemy soldiers - and he seemed to be more or less physically well, so blaming himself for such a thing did not seem to be the case.

Mask stalked toward the fallen man, idly wondering where the chair had come from but deciding not to question it for the time being. "That would be all of us," the swordsman stated, reaching down to grab and physically lift up the man, assuming Mask could cross that distance in a reasonable amount of time. "Care to explain why you are disciplining a disease-ridden child?"

"Oh, I'm pretty sure you can trust her not to get into a fight. . ." Alwine shook her head. Bitter thoughts and speech didn't become her. "We'll be fine as long as we keep working together as well as we have. Just keep an eye on your squad's backs and trust them to watch yours."- 430 replies

"I, um, was helping lift the um, siege here. There's no more siege." She glanced at the suit of armor with curiosity. It seemed a little. . . huge, for the maid to be carrying around, but then she was a robot or something, so she guessed it made sense. Ritsu wasn't the only one with gear that was way heavier than could be reasonably expected for her stature. From the brief look at it, the armor had some commonalities with her own. It was definitely powered in some way, and the thruster on it was reminiscent of the concealed vents she used for her Mantle. In fact, those could probably be adapted to do something similar. . .

Mask glanced backward at the strange fisherman. Not the most trustworthy figure, but he would have to do. "Mind the boat." Mask only delayed their disembarkation for one thing; fetching their trump card and belting the weapon on as quickly as possible. That rumbling did not bode well, and it was best to be prepared. The swordsman rushed toward the bulk of the others, moving with surprising speed for the bulk of their armor. They didn't bother drawing either of the weapons at their side just yet; whatever errant pieces of trash flew at Mask were simply batted out of the way with a powerful hand.

Mitsurugi headed back into the barracks; she'd passed Spicy during her sleep disturbances, and elected to leave the woman to it; her presence would likely only unsettle Spicy further. Instead, she headed down to the area she'd moved to for privacy before; she wanted to attempt to meditate again, despite how. . . unproductive her attempts had been thus far. It surprised her somewhat to see that the door was closed upon her arrival; was this room for some purpose she was not aware of yet? She considered it for a brief moment, and decided that it was worth the slight rudeness of opening the door to investigate. At worst, she would stumble upon some young couple who hadn't been properly cautious when seeking some solitude. She opened the door with a light touch, and it swung open slowly to permit her entry. She slipped inside before it swung all the way open, and pressed one hand back to close it; she would have turned to secure it quietly, but her attention was drawn by the person who had, evidently, shut the door originally. "Mhasalkar? Am I intruding?" He seemed to be distressed, but she was unsure whether her presence was desired. "I can find somewhere else, if you wish." Her tone sounded less convinced of such, though; after all, the man had made an effort to comfort her in his own awkward and stumbling way, and she felt the urge to repay him.

"Huh?" Hiroki had just been finding a spot to sit down and relax. The cots here weren't as comfortable as her bed back home, but it'd been a while since she'd been back there anyway. They also paled in comparison to her cabin on that train she'd went so far on, but, well, she would take what she could get at this point. "I'm, um, fine," she said, somewhat guardedly. Her default response to people was still suspicion, especially with the stress she'd been through lately. She still trembled slightly, when she forgot to manage it; she could deal with stress in the moment, but the aftermath was something else. In short: she wasn't really fine.

This place was approximately as disgusting as the name would suggest. Mask had thought that perhaps the island was named so that people would avoid it and leave its riches - natural or otherwise - alone, not as literally as it seemed to be. It was sad, really, but there was little Mask could do. They stood silently and nigh motionlessly at the edge of the ship, watching that old man try to catch fish in the putrid waters, and watching the children watch him. Mask was. . . likely not the most comforting presence for the latter, what with the near motionlessness and demonic visage.

Lyssa, Colony 6. Attack Talking Grimm "That supposed to be a joke, puppy?" She threw another punch in the direction of the grim. "That's the best you can come up with, now that you can talk?" -
"And here I had hoped your wit would be sharper than your martial skills. I've heard it said that while it is better to be brave than cowardly, it is better to be cowardly than foolish. I suggest the coward's path to you." There was little threat of Mask actually striking the man, unless he managed to find a particular sore spot; it would be wasted effort, as he seemed to be the type that would learn nothing from such a thing, and therefore it would not contribute to the destruction of that captain. Though Mask hoped that the "doctor's" current state of annoyingness would only last until he acquired a fresh supply of booze, regardless; restraining oneself from making the attempt to teach the man a lesson anyway was a mental effort, however small.

[IC] Neon Exodus Evangelion Act 2 - Crossing

Kyou resisted the urge to put a death grip on the doctor's hand as she'd done in the past. She shot a grateful look at Alma, instead. It bothered her on some level that she was reacting like this; wasn't she supposed to step up all gung-ho for saving humanity, and all that? Excited for the adventure and whatnot, that was what the "correct" reaction was. Instead, though. . . She was quite obviously scared, but for reasons that went beyond the immediately obvious. What were the Evas? Machines didn't bleed like that, they didn't reach out to catch people of their own accord, and they weren't picky about who was in the driver's seat. And Hashimoto was being so cagey about them. There had to be a reason their research was banned.- 180 replies

"My wrath is localized to the one that incurs it. Would you care to test this?" Spoken in the same, unreadable tone as the rest of Mask's words. Their face, or what they used in place of an actual face, tilted back toward Jill. "Have you ever heard me make a joke?" The swordsman turned to look back out toward their destination once more. "If that is what you wish, then I shall do so once we have landed safely."

[IC] Fate/Reborn 2.0 Second War
Chevaleresse replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Karsten and Assassin "Hmm? I've got a hat for a reason, ma'am. Sure, lookin' nice is is a perk, but a good hat keeps rain and shine off ya." It occurred to him that he was speaking to the air. Rather than abruptly stop, he continued; either people would assume he had a Bluetooth headset on, or was simply crazy. Either way, it's likely he wouldn't be bothered on the way to his destination. "'Preciate the concern, but I'll be just fine. Unless I've got a hole poked in me, worry about yourself first." He wondered what the other Servants in the war had in store. Really, he wanted to avoid them at all costs, unless he could force another one to do his bidding. He needed upfront firepower, something he was desperately lacking in, relatively speaking. His ponderings, though, were cut off; something in the streets ahead seemed to be off. Was that. . . a crater, in the road? "Assassin, are there any other Servants nearby? Somethin' ain't right." Ruler and Erica "Of course it's my business. I'm fighting for you, not for myself." The Servant sounded angry again, though Hiroki calmed slightly after processing the rest of her reply. She seemed to be benevolent enough. . . but also hadn't been particularly forthcoming with her answer. It could easily be concocted in an effort to placate her. Additionally, the way of the mage was a single heir, who was gifted with all of the family's magical strength; two heirs was seen as more of a curse than a blessing. Perhaps she was honest, perhaps she shied from responsibility, but it was unusual regardless for her desire to be her brother's ascension to full mage-hood. "What if you lose your position as heir?" -
"Fighting on land is not a luxury we will always have. Unless you would like to politely request a land battle from any and all marine scum we encounter, I suggest you quiet your bellyaching." Mask was probably scowling, not that it was visible either way. All this complaining, was this crew truly this soft? No matter, they would eventually help Mask achieve their goal. One way, or another. . .
