Kusuke, meanwhile, is belowdecks, having at some point located some tools for the sharpening of knives; he sat on the floor in a corner of the area with a somewhat alarmingly large pile of knives, paying painstaking attention to each one to ensure it was properly maintained; it'd been far too long since he'd done any work on them, and while he typically tried to avoid conflicts or use his hands and cuffs to subdue the ones that wouldn't leave him alone, having a lethal option was something you just needed sometimes, if only for the threat of it.

Kyou simply continued her vigil of the tile in front of her as she tried to wash herself, only stopping for a brief glance over her shoulder at Ranga. It seemed she wasn't alone in her deep discomfort with the current topic of conversation; she was torn between feeling bad for Satomi and being grateful that Beverly hadn't decided to harass her about the size of her own chest. Beverly clearly wasn't shy about her sexuality, either, unless she was just talking the way she did to make Satomi uncomfortable. . . She still wasn't sure how to feel about Beverly. On the one hand, she'd saved Kyou's life. On the other, she, well, did things like this,

"Saber's set up in a burnt village not all that far from the fortress. Lancer's more or less camped in an open field in the same direction as the mines Caster set up on top of." He took a ragged breath; his entire body was starting to glow slightly, and if you looked hard enough you could see the rest of the area behind him. "I don't know what you did to get that shit out of my spirit, or how you'd do it again. Something with divine magic, I think. That damn cup isn't what was promised, that's for sure - I'm pretty sure that's what turned us all into what you've been fighting. I remember mud spewing from it, and then some kind of flash, and we were here, and I wasn't in full control of myself any more." His voice sounded. . . resigned, at that last. "A couple words of advice, though. One, you have to remember that Servants aren't human. I'm not the same thing as you. We're just copies of Heroic Spirits. And two. . . Don't ever trust that golden bastard of a Caster. He was rotten before this whole incident. 'King of Heroes' my ass." The blue shimmering around him started to turn to gold. "Looks like my time's up. Good luck offing the other Servants. And you, little miss, you're stronger than you think. Killing people isn't easy, but sometimes you have to. Just remember that you've got a reason to." And with that, the man dissolved into nothingness, leaving naught but fading golden motes behind.

"I can try." He frowned for a moment, looking into the screen before him as he pondered his explanation. "What it does is record and show information. Sort of like a library, yeah. Imagine each one is its own little library, complete with librarians that you can ask to show you any book by either pointing at it with this" - he waggles the mouse - "or by writing a specific request in the right place using this." He gestured at the keyboard. "I'd have to show you a bit more about how to use it, but it's not that hard, Satomi-san." He made a point of adding the honorific - Kusuke generally wasn't too overt about it, but he was somewhat proud of his Japanese heritage and wanted to keep it alive. "They can also talk to other 'libraries' by using something called the Internet, and almost instantly copy and record what the others send. They use electricity to do all this like Henry said; it's a little hard to explain the details of how they actually work, but you can use one of them to look it up yourself."

"I wouldn't be doin' this if I didn't have to. But I'm also not going to lay down and lose." Shinobu shook her head as she leapt into action, sidestepping her opponent's strike and blasting her with an assault of magical lightning. Seemed all the practice had paid off; she hadn't even had to bob and weave. Still, this wasn't supposed to be what danmaku was about. It's for fighting with your friends, having fun, and when it comes to it, STOPPING people from dying. How that got twisted into these death matches was beyond her.

"That's probably one of the sketchier things I've heard, but hey, it could be totally innocuous, right? Maybe they're a psychic or something, this place has those. I'll drag a couple of the others along with me, don't worry." He wasn't entirely fond of the idea that someone was listening in on him regardless, but he tried to stay positive. People tended to be nicer if you didn't immediately assume they were trying to kill you or something.

[IC] TFW Chapter 2: Wrath
Chevaleresse replied to Shamitako's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"I see." She would have to let Chernobyl know about that, if she didn't already know. Genie's appearance drew a quick glance from her; she would have to ask Loki to retrieve the woman after they were finished with their questions. Speaking of, the next was likely a favorite of growing teenaged girls and their mothers everywhere. "Have you noticed any changes in your body since the last check?" she asked, expression as flat and neutral as always. -
Kyou shuffled about uncomfortably. "It wasn't as cool as I thought piloting a giant robot would be. I was mostly trying not to puke all over the controls or scream the whole time." Eventually, she reluctantly peeled off her clothing, still sopping ; she was a bit skinny, though not unhealthily so, and wasn't particularly notable in the chest area - though slightly larger than one would think. As she started up the actual shower, she stared resolutely into the tile, facing away from everyone else.

"Huh." Kusuke took a long draw off of his coffee - he seemed to have missed the memo on the whole "sipping" bit. "Try to get some info, and I'll head over there myself or with one other person. It's pretty hard to ambush me, if that's what they're after. Plus, you know, I'm so incredibly charming." He said the last bit dryly. "Unless we want to drag everyone out there, but you never know who's actually around. This place has a lot of big players running around."

"I'll do some testing, I don't mind. Some kind of library access in return wouldn't hurt, though; I want to be able to read up on the people I might be dealing with. And affiliate work is basically what I was doing. . . before." He wasn't sure of how open he should actually be. Or if they'd believe him if he was.

Kyou, after probably vomiting of anxiety immediately upon disembarking from the EVA and proceeding through the various processing that they had for the pilots - at least she was physically healthy, right? - still looked pretty damn uncomfortable. Her clothes, sopping with LCL, still hung from her body as she slowly pressed herself further into a corner of the locker room, staring firmly at the floor. She didn't seem particularly keen on undressing for the moment, though she looked thoroughly miserable - the locker room situation made her uncomfortable, but the only other thing she could think about was the effects of the attack. Who lived, who died. And the fact that she still hadn't heard from anyone in her family.

Ayaka started noticably at the sudden question - they hadn't even picked a name yet. Luckily, however, she'd spent a lot of time considering this very question! It was hard to imagine life as an idol growing up without constantly thinking of unit names (among other things.) "Uh, G★G!" she said, with the barest pause. (Don't ask how she actually pronounced the star.) "We've worked really hard to get ready for the concert coming up, so it's going to be a better show this time." She tried to avoid getting upset at the mention of their first show - they just slapped them all onto the stage without letting them coordinate outfits or anything! It wasn't fair.

"That works, I guess." That was. . . odd. Apparently somebody was looking out for them. Which was a bit backward, considering they were the royal goddamn guards and it was their job to look out for others. "Better get moving, though." She hefted a lance from the pile and moved toward the door. Grab Iron Lance, move to M8

"We should do the radio show! It'll be fun! Yuki-chan, we should go and do that!" Truth be told, she also didn't particularly want to walk around all day handing out fliers in her fluffy dress. As much as she liked showing it off, that sounded like boring work.

Kyou breathed an audible sigh of relief - not that she felt particularly relaxed at the moment, in fact she was barely holding it together - on hearing no one was dead. She moved dully toward the hangar, strangely eager to just be on her own two feet again. She stumbled and nearly fell when she caught sight of the dismembered EVA - That's not a machine. That is NOT a machine. What the hell is this? What am I driving right now? She'd grown up her entire life around machinery of all shapes and sizes, and none of them had bone or muscle and they didn't bleed when you took them apart. Just hold it together until you can get out of this. . .

Shinobu shrugged and stood up, holding her hand out toward Akemi. She hadn't been bothered by the spice of the food, though the same flavor in the sake was slightly offputting. Still, booze was booze. "Guess we're gonna be here for a while then, eh? What's this Saki like, anyway? Nice as you?" The compliment was genuine; the girl had taken them in and fed them with no apparent motivation, so until she displayed some sort of ulterior motive she would take the gesture at face value.

Kusuke spends most of his time focusing on an oft-neglected portion of his drive; the fact that it also allowed movement in space. He subconsciously used it already, when choosing whether to let an object move along its prior (or future) path or pin it to its current location in space while he fiddled with its place in time, but separating the two manipulations was harder than it looked. The effort largely consisted of Kusuke staring intently at a blank spot on the wall or floor, flickering in and out of sight on occasion. His expression shifted from focus, to frustration, to a rather pleased one when he abruptly appeared exactly ten feet ahead of where he had been previously standing; shortly after this, the fat woman walked out.

Liliya is idle for this turn. The first group of beasts takes up flanking positions. Walmond heals Liliya, Magna, and Leon for [20 HP]! His efforts combined with Lambda's own restore a total of [20] HP to her as well. Empi Saves Lambda's Date, though the question of how relevant that actually is to a nonsentient robot remains. Soldier Battalion A attacks Walmond and Leon. One hits each of them for [14] and [12] damage each, before Empi's curse activates and stuns the group. Victoria fires two shots into the first group of Dragon Tooth Warriors, dealing [7] damage. The first group of Dragon Tooth Warriors forms into ranks. The second pack of Beasts attacks Empi, Lexiel, and Liliya for [22], [2 goblins], and [11] damage. The second group of Soldiers regroups. Leon rapidly slashes at the first battalion of Dragon Tooth Warriors, dealing [36] damage! One of them breaks apart under the assault. He takes 5 damage from his bleeding wounds. The archers target Soryn, Magna, Victoria, and Lambda, dealing [20], [24], [19], and [0] damage. Lexiel's aura increases in intensity, healing herself, Liliya, and Leon for [8] HP. She takes [7] damage from her burn. The third battalion of soldiers reforms its ranks. Soryn drains [18] blood from Soldier Battalion B, and heals Lexiel for 9 HP. The second battalion of Dragon Tooth Warriors is. . . occupied with the swarm of mechanical ants flowing out of the castle. Magna defends. Her reanimated Officer Ignites the second Beast Pack, dealing [14] damage and igniting them for [13] damage per turn. The ants on the field inflict 5 damage to all enemies. The castle regenerates 30 HP. The siege crystal remains idle. The onager fires, dealing [30] damage. Initiative Status

"A ride would be nice, yeah." He was still watching the man. Armsmaster didn't seem to be malign, but neither did his rival, or the man's cronies. Right up until you felt the tip of the knife slide between your shoulder blades, that is. Or watched it happen to one of yours. It was worth keeping on his feet. But first, coffee. It was shaping up to be a long night either way.

"Good enough for me. I'm. . . Slipstream." It wasn't technically a lie; while he didn't have a superhero name like the people around here seemed to (unless their parents had incredibly odd naming conventions,) it was the name that had been given to his Drive; since Drives were more or less unique, it could be said that referring to Slipstream referred to Kusuke himself. He had to admit it was a bit of mental gymnastics, but hey; it would help blend in, right? "That guy seems like a real piece of work. . ."

Kusuke looks about at the group. "I've got nothing else to do, but I don't really speak for everyone else here." He thinks for a moment. ". . . I don't suppose you've got coffee back at your station or wherever, do you?" He was already starting to feel tired from the exertion of his power so many times in a short period. Normally, if he was in a fight, it'd be quick bursts to shift either his opponent or himself around to keep them unawares; rewinding buildings and angry dragon people wasn't standard fare.

"Shouldn't need to, just give me one moment." Kusuke hurries toward Jun, trying not to look too hard at the unpleasant nature of the man's broken and burned body - though at least this was evidence that he wasn't a robot. He places one hand on him, and attempts to rewind him to the few seconds before he'd been horribly mauled by the rage dragon person. "Anyway, I'm willing to answer any questions you've got, within reason."
