Thanks for your suggestions, I ended up using a magmar and magneton duo and swiped her team to the side like matchsticks (magmar died against walrein but then I just electroballed it) Personally, I think when I said 4, I wasnt really counting, I probably died more times than that, I was just so angry and frustrated because I didnt know where to train and then I found that the opal ward pokemon center gives battles daily so I just spammed that and levelled up an epic team. My current team now is Lucario, lv 56 (Aura Sphere ruined serra and noel LOL) Gyarados lv 52 (Aqua Tail + Dragon Dance was even more smashing) Magmar lv 52 (Flamethrower Sunny day Combo WOOT) Krokorok Lv 34 (Yeah Im training it to screw fern over) Spiritomb Lv 53 (yup. Spiritomb. Yup.) Magneton lv 53 (DISCHARGEEEEE) Yeah. They were all lv 46-48 when I screwed serra over, and krokorok was I think Mr Mime (lv 47 at the time of battle, died after using light screen but that saved my ass). Thanks for the suggestions, but I have to say, fire types rocked that battle, and magmar is the best investment Ive ever made. LOL

The game doesnt hate you, unless you started the game when episode 9 was the most recent episode. The event itself only resets if you upgraded from episode 9 to episode 10. If it makes you feel better, I started in episode 10 too so I couldnt get the reset (:

I think you might be right on the decreased rate, but thats probably because of the new ways to "farm" shinies, so to speak. (if you dont know them theres the fishing chain and the horde spamming)

LOL I did that too, except I stunned Cincinno with Magneton's Discharge and then Set up my gyarados. But by that time I had Lucario at a sweeping lv 52 so I just aura sphered everything else when Gyarados died (It was lv 51 and staraptor BraveBirded it a little too much :< )

Oh my. I can't believe you said that D: jk. But no, If you evolve golbat, you have one helluva speedmaster right there. That, coupled with acrobatics and maybe cross poison, and you have a speed sweeper with a badly poisoning move. The reason this is good is because Crobat's speed base is beaten by few (I think so far only Jumpluff and Deoxys Speed Forme).

While yes, its a sweeper if you train it right, I have to say, getting it past kirlia is the first irritation, theres also that damned low defense base that just makes it pointless to have gardevoir if you end up fighting a team that really just wants to pull your hair out (In other words, physical). And it's special offensive capabilities seriously don't make up for it. But this is just my opinion. Personally, I'd prefer alakazam. Speaking of which, I think Alakazam's movepool rating should be 'decent', considering it learns psychic far too late in-game, and honestly? It's just a pain when comes down to dark types (Can you get focus blast? I have no idea.)

THAT.... is actually a REALLY good idea. Because technically Eevee DOES evolve into Sylveon VIA a form of happiness (AFFECTION COUNTS, I SAY SO). So yeah. YAY SYLVEON now I dont have to bother waiting for the lv 85 cap to come out for gardevoir to learn moonblast (thats one helluva annoying wait, trust me Ive done it on X already, kept fainting against the elite four :I)

Personally? I think you should switch moonblast for dazzling gleam. Mainly because Gardevoir already has a smashing Special Attack base, so it wont make too much of a massive difference. One-on-One being a dissuading theme, I think you should keep Earthquake. After all, It simply just ruins everything, regardless of type (save for flyers and levitating pokemon). If its allowed, try getting a Gardevoir with telepathy? Then you could just put sludge wave on Roserade to boost that special offensive and also add an extra move to your multi-target arsenal (plus it adds that poison factor~ who doesnt love poison~). Thats what I normally do, and it works pretty well (I cant remember where it hasnt worked haha) This is just my suggestion, you don't have to take it if you've already set up an even better team (which, most of the time, seems to occur when I put these suggestions down.)
