  1. Smash Bros. 3DS Update 1.0.4 and Pokémon Bank Update 1.2 are both out now!

  2. I seriously can't keep up with all these quests on Xenoblade. This 100% run is confusing me to hell. I think it's because of Colony 6 though. I never did like that place, should have stayed down when the Mechon got to it.

  3. Xenoblade Chronicles is such a fantastic game. I've just beaten it and I've already restarted it to attempt a 100% run. I just can't put it down. I recommend it to every single one of you!

      THIS IS THE MONADO'S POWER!

Reyn is pretty awesome. Can't forgot li'l old Riki though!

I think it's quickly becoming mine as well. xD

  4. Changed my mind. "Some day" is today, I feel like doing mine now. Carefree Shadow Elite Four #4 If I was a Pokémon Trainer for real, I'd abuse the travelling part of it completely. I'd be sort of like an "Elite Four for hire" for lack of a better description. Every time there's a spot that needs filling up, I'll fill the spot until a permanent member arrives. If I were ever to stay as a permanent member of the Elite Four however, it'd be in a completely made-up region that I don't have the creativity to think of. I think a substitute-travelling-Elite Four member sounds like a good role. I'd get to battle different trainers from different regions and see how the basic rules of battle differ between them, and what Pokémon are more commonly used across what regions. It'd be a way to explore and learn, and that'd ultimately build me up as a trainer as well as make for some interesting battles to come. Outside of the Elite Four, the dream team on my trainer card is what I'd be using. But when it comes to my Elite Four position, I'd use some Electric-types. Fire and Electric are by far my favourite types, and I feel that using Electric-types would be more interesting since I prefer a lot more of them and they have a huge weakness to Ground. It'd be more challenging than using Fire-types for sure. When a trainer walks in: "I see, so you made it this far, eh? That's good. I like strong battlers, and only the strong can make it this far. I'll be honest with you - I'm just filling a gap here. I'm only a reserve member of the Elite Four until someone else takes my place. I bet you're wondering why I'm only reserving a spot of such significance, rather than claiming it as my own, right? Well, you see, I like variety. I like learning about different people, different Pokémon, different cultures. Variety makes for some nice surprises and interesting experiences. That's why I travel from region to region. I made it this far not just because of my own strength, but because of my Pokémon too. We all share the same experiences, and we've all learned how trainers from different regions battle, and how they communicate with each other both during battle and outside of it. There are so many different kinds of trainers out there, and it's truly incredible to get to see them all each and every day. We've used the experiences that we've gained through travelling and applied it to our battle style. I may only be a substitute for the final member of the Elite Four, but that doesn't take away my skill as a trainer, or the strength of my Pokémon. There's a reason we're standing here before you. In saying that, there's also a reason you're standing here before me. Because you're strong. But just how strong are you? Demonstrate your power to me!" Luxray: Level 77 Wild Charge Ice Fang Thunderbolt Iron Tail Electivire: Level 77 Thunder Punch Ice Punch Earthquake Quick Attack Raichu: Level 76 Thunderbolt Grass Knot Agility Volt Tackle Plusle: Level 79 Thunder Rain Dance Nuzzle Sweet Kiss Minun: Level 79 Thunderbolt Double Team Substitute Toxic Manectric: Level 81 (Manectite) Thunder Thunderbolt Flamethrower Protect If challenger wins: "As I thought. Only the strong make it this far. This battle has helped me learn even more. Congratulations on defeating the Elite Four, you've earned it. While you may have claimed victory over the four of us, you still have yet one more challenge to face - one that is recognised as the biggest challenge in the entire region. There's no turning back now. You'd best be prepared. Good luck!" If challenger loses: "I spoke too soon. You aren't as strong as I initially thought. Learn from my words >challenger<, they will help you in the coming battles." (Just for clarity - I know my movesets are hardly Smogon worthy, but I'm not making these with the metagame in mind. It's just a fun team that I feel could be potent both in-game/if we were going by anime logic. Take note of that if you plan on criticising me for making "dumb" move choices.)
  5. Oh, well now I FINALLY know how I can post on my profile, I guess I'm gonna start doing that now. :]

  6. I'm glad that my post is still getting recognition! I never imagined people would be this interested in one of my posts! @MawileJoey: Seeing as you have already posted your team, I'm a bit late on this, but yes, you can use dupes. Nothing ever prevented canon Elite Four members from doing it so nothing is stopping us, right? I mean, look at Hoenn! But to everyone reading - All I ask is that if you are going to use duplicates, I'd like no more than 3 from the same evolution line, and no more than 2 of the same species. So basically, you could have two Glalie and a Snorunt, but after that, you can't have any more Glalie, Snorunt or Froslass on your team. If that makes sense. @BlackClues: Some of these are really creative, but without a doubt your post is my favourite so far! The lines are really cool as well. Makes me wish I was any good at ROM hacking now, I'd definitely include that in my game if I could. :] I'll probably re-do mine eventually. I don't know why I chose Dragon-type. Maybe it's because I chose Fire as my Gym Leader type, I dunno. I'll get around to it when I have the effort.
  7. I didn't buy it off of the shop. It was pre-installed on the 3DS XL when I opened it. There was no e-shop account set up on the 3DS XL prior to opening it.
  8. I'm in a predicament, but I'm not sure if I'm just misunderstanding or not. If any of you have been in this extremely specific situation, I'd appreciate a response. I've had my 3DS for a few years, got a bunch of stuff on the SD card, and I recently purchased the Smash Bros. themed 3DS XL because it looks awesome. Tried putting my original 3DS' SD card into the XL, it doesn't work. Looked it up, I need to do a system transfer. Now, I know HOW to do a system transfer, but the problem is that it says my data on the XL's SD card will be wiped if I transfer. The problem is that I have a digital copy of Smash Bros on the new SD card. I want to keep it. I read elsewhere that somebody bought an Animal Crossing 3DS XL bundle (that exists...?) and that it deleted their pre-installed game after the transfer, but after said transfer they could go on the e-shop and download it again for free. I'm not sure if this is reliable, but if that's the case then I'm thinking I should be able to re-download Smash as well. My problem with all this though, besides reliability, is that I'll be transferring e-shop data to my XL. Will I actually be able to download it again? I never downloaded it on my e-shop account, it was already on the system, so I really don't have any idea if this will work. I want to be able to play my games on the XL screen without having to delete Smash Bros. with no way of downloading it again if it won't be free. Has anybody else done a system transfer to a Smash 3DS XL? Can you tell me if you were able to re-download Smash on the XL after transferring Nintendo Network ID, SD card data, e-shop data etc.? I really am stumped with this and it's making me really confused and upset because I don't want to lose it, but I also don't know what will happen. :[ Again, this is REALLY specific. I don't care if you bought a MH4U or whatever 3DS that had the game on it already - I only want to hear it from people with the Smash one, that's the most reliable way of knowing. Thanks for any help in advance. EDIT: I should point out I've not linked my Smash Bros. 3DS XL to my Club Nintendo account yet, but I'm about to do it now in case that affects it. My 3DS is already linked to it.
  9. I'm maining Ike and Shulk. I'm not all that good with either of them, but I love both of them in both Smash and their own games, so I really wanna learn to use them well so I can do them some justice. I feel like not too many will use either of them because they're slow. They're both pretty good I think though, I don't care what the tier list says. No biased. Palutena is the bottom of the tier list though? When she has a reflect barrier and that crazy high up smash? I'm inclined not to believe it now.
  10. I'm a major Nintendo fan, as well as a pretty big Zelda fan, so ignoring all logical reason for why you should and shouldn't get this game, I will say yes you should regardless. It's not a typical Zelda game because the gameplay is very different, but you get to play as other major characters throughout the series and you get to kill lots of enemies. Be they Bokoblin, Stalfos, Lizalfos, yet another version of Gohma, or even Goron, you can kill it. You actually get to play as bad guys too so all the better. If you like Zelda for the puzzle element then this will feel very different for you. I can't say it's like a Dynasty Warriors game because I've not played any of them, but I'm going to assume that it's like one seeing as it's in the name and everyone else says it is. I don't know. Also, lots of people complain this game is easy, but they have multiple difficulties (including Hero Mode I might add! We all know how hard that is from previous Zelda games right?) as well as Adventure Mode. Not all of the missions in Adventure Mode are hard, but if you're going for 100% and trying to get all of the Gold Skulltulas and Heart Pieces/Containers then it can become incredibly difficult. I've been spending nearly a week solid on Adventure Mode and I've still not completed it. It's pretty lengthy but it's also hard, so there's that. I'm not sure if I'm getting anything across right now, but long story short: Combat-focused Zelda (it feels like a Zelda game to me), can play as more than just Lonk, can kill Gorons, IS actually difficult sometimes. It may not have online play, but believe me, it's good enough without it. If they did add it in a future update that'd just make it 10x better than it already is. You can get whatever games you want prior to it, but you're missing out by not playing it. You need to get it eventually.
  11. Well, that's re-assuring! Now I've just gotta hope I don't suck total ass when I do get it.
  12. This seems like it could be tons of fun, but my laptop is too poor to play games on unless it's on VisualBoyAdvance or something. I hope that this game is still relevant by the time I get a new computer lol.
  13. Man, I haven't updated my status on this since Christmas. I made it to the Pokémon League and the Elite Four was just ridiculously hard. Bertha was purely Ground-type and Raichu was too weak to OHKO her entire team with Grass Knot, especially Gliscor. Then Lucian's Bronzong walled me, and Alakazam had Calm Mind. Then Cynthia... ugh. I couldn't even reach her, and she had her Garchomp waiting for me. It took me 20 hours of grinding so that every Pokémon I own was level 55+, and even then it still took me like 10 tries to defeat Cynthia. However, I DID finally manage to beat the Elite Four and become Champion! But I forgot to update then. Instead, I went and finished everything in the post-game. I've beaten Stark Mountain, caught Heatran, caught Dialga and Palkia and used the Lunar Wing to save the kid having nightmares in Canalave. I'm so glad this is finally over, because while it was fun, it's been so long since I last played I don't remember any of it. I'm glad I made all these updates to jog my memory! But that Pokémon League was so hard. Really, if you plan on doing a monotype for Sinnoh, I advise not to do Electric, I caught every option prior to the league there was and without tutor moves it'll be tough, especially with the amount of grinding you'll need to do. It took forever. I'm not going to catch Mesprit, Cresselia, Articuno, Moltres or any of the 4 golems though. I used my Master Ball on Zapdos to save time, and I don't fancy trying to catch roaming Pokémon. I remembered seeing somewhere that Heatran was the finishing point for a gen 4 monotype, and while it doesn't HAVE to be, I just kinda stuck to that. I just threw Dialga and Palkia in at the end because they were level 70 and I wanted to see if I could get decent natures from them. (Dialga was Brave and Palkia was Naive.) I also remember saying in one of my previous posts I wasn't gonna any of the other legendaries, and while I'm not catching them all, I did end up catching Uxie and Azelf as I needed to fight them to gain access past the Fight Area, so forgive my unforeseen fib there. But yeah, as I said, I'm done. Here's the final update for my Platinum monotype:   Badges - 8   Pokémon: Luxray - Level 61 (Thunder, Discharge, Crunch, Swagger) Pachirisu - Level 60 (Thunder, Discharge, Seed Bomb, Super Fang Rotom - Level 60 (Thunder, Charge Beam, Ominous Wind, Confuse Ray) Jolteon - Level 60 (Thunder, Shock Wave, Quick Attack, Rock Smash) Raichu - Level 60 (Thunderbolt, Grass Knot, Brick Break, Nasty Plot) Magnezone - Level 60 (Thunder, Flash Cannon, Discharge, Magnet Rise) Electivire - Level 60 (Thunderbolt, Earthquake, Psychic, Focus Blast) Zapdos - Level 60 (Discharge, Charge, Agility, Roost)   Thanks to everyone who actually read any of my posts and took an interest in them, and sorry to those same people for not posting in so long. With the exception of the 20 hour grinding sessions I really enjoyed this playthrough! If I do any more monotype playthroughs, I'll be sure to post them here in future!
  14. So am I. xD Turns out that on that little rock path at the end of Route 2, I knew it could go to the right so that you could actually get to where the Crustle bridge would be once you finished it, but I didn't notice the little detour to the left where you can jump up the wall to get to the third Crustle. I don't know how I missed it. The puzzle was actually really easy, I was just blind. Can't believe I was complaining my head hurt lol.
  15. I finally figured it out. I overlooked one of the easiest things to spot. I'm dumb. :]
  16. I didn't even notice that particular slide before from the pic lol. I realise that they're like a strength puzzle and you drop them into holes and whatnot. It's that bit where you have to make a bridge with 3 of them to the south that's stumped me. I can get the first two in the holes fine, but then I can't get to the third one. I'd assumed you needed to use a Crustle as an extra platform in order to follow the rock trail to the nest where the last Crustle is, because I can't find a path that gets you there. I've tried following the rock path from said nest back but there's just one point where there's nowhere to jump from so I don't know. Chances are I'm confusing anybody reading this because I'm doing it all wrong but I don't know lol.
  17. Only downloaded the game like 6/7 hours ago and I've spent most of that stuck on this. I don't know how people have finished the episode already, I can't figure out this puzzle to save my life right now. :[ I just hope they hurry up with it, I'd like to finish this episode so I can go back and EV train my Pokémon. They desperately need it.
  18. But that's what I've been trying to do and my character keeps pushing them again, even though I am on top of rocks already! This hurts my head T_T
  19. I've spent all night trying to do this rock puzzle, and with immense lag too, and I'm still sitting here, completely stumped as to what to do next. It's getting kinda tiring. Is there not a guide anywhere on the site yet that tells you how to beat the puzzle? I'm just about sick of all these damn rocks.
  20. I had this problem. I was doing part of the puzzle with a Crustle asleep, but I messed it up, so I left the route without waking it up. When I came back, it was gone, so I went to the cave to get it out and the Crustle that came out wouldn't respond to anything. I just now tried using Rage Powder but that wasn't working. Well, it WASN'T. Turns out pressing A on it's own didn't work. I had to walk into the Crustle so it was making that thudding noise when I interacted with it, that's the only way it would respond. After that it just said I could use the Rage Powder to wake it up. I've defeated it and made it come out again and now it's moving and I can interact with it. I'd say try doing what I did and see if that worked, because if not you might actually have a problem there.
