  2. These movies all have their own charms to them. It's really hard to pick a favourite one.
  3. Choosing favourites has never been one of my strong points, especially with Pokémon. It's only getting harder when they keep adding more as well. Currently, my favourite Pokémon is Hydreigon, with Manectric at a very close second. I don't know what it is about them I like to be honest, they just look cool to me and they emit power. I just like Pokémon that I see in both of those ways - cool and strong. Those are my favourite kind. I also like some that are elegant and tough as well, but as my two current favourites mentioned prior to this sentence suggest, the elegant ones don't outweigh the cool ones for me.
  4. I don't really hate any Pokémon, nor do I have any true favourite either. Deciding that sort of thing has never been one of my strong points, but if I had to say anything, it'd have to be Clefairy. Cleffa and Clefable are OK, but Clefairy... it's just ugly. Every time I look at it, I get pissed off because of how ugly it looks to me. It's a really infuriating situation when I get one. I dislike it to the point where I don't feel it deserves a Moon Stone, but then if I don't give it a Moon Stone I can't turn it into something that is actually half decent in both design and usage in battle. I've just never really liked Clefairy all that much, and the more I look at it, the more I dislike it. I'm not one to say "It should never have been designed, it should be wiped from existence," and I'm not about to say it either, but I just... I can't stand the sight of it. I hate any and all Clefairy. I'm REALLY glad Pikachu became Pokémon's mascot and not Clefairy. Seeing that thing with Ash in every episode would kill me inside more and more.
  5. I've heard things like the shiny rate has been decreased to half of what it was in Gen 5, and other people say it's gone back to what it originally was. I'm not really sure what to believe. I think it's safe to say though that if you want a shiny, you should probably try and get the Shiny Charm first and save yourself some time. It took me nearly two weeks and over 1500 eggs to get a shiny Honedge using Masuda Method, and it had 1 attack IV even after all that. No way I'm going shiny hunting again until my National Pokédex is complete.
  6. My favourite Legendary as a whole is Groudon. I like it's colour, I like it's design and how it gives off a tough aura, I love it's type. Gen 3 was the gen I grew up on as a kid and I just always had a thing for Groudon more than the others. Rayquaza was never far behind but I just prefer Groudon to it. I never cared for Kyogre lol. Since people are doing top 3 legendaries, I may as well join in. My second favourite is Suicune. Suicune has a sort of elegant and majestic vibe to it, and it seems like the kind of Pokémon that is always careful but is always calm and collected as well. I like all 3 of the legendary beasts a lot, but Raikou seems all about being fast and not staying around for people to see it, and Entei seems to be all about power and dominance (from where I stand at least) and I just prefer what I see in Suicune to the other two, because the other two seem a bit more rash and less trusting than Suicune does, which is what I like about it. My third favourite is Articuno. Articuno has the same sort of standpoint as Suicune does to me, except Articuno is a bird and not a dog/cat/beast thing. I'm not sure what to think of it though. The anime has given off multiple ways of seeing it. The second movie made that Articuno seem dominant and untrusting to people, and willing to attack anything it sees, but the one that saved Todd and Ash in the Johto region comes out of hiding to protect people and trusts them entirely, and even blows away Team Rocket like they were never there. It wasn't even phased. Then there's Noland's one, which belongs to a trainer. As cool as that is, I'm not sure I like that so much either, because it's a big achievement to pull off, and the Battle Factory is for rental Pokémon anyway so that made even less sense to me. Anyway, I'm going off point a bit. There's 3 different Articuno that I remember seeing, each being completely different. Because of this, I'm not too sure what to think of Articuno other than the similarities I think it shares with Suicune, but then I guess I also like that about it too. It adds to the mystery of it, legendary Pokémon are meant to be mysterious, and the fact I can't decide what to think of Articuno makes it mysterious to me. That's probably why I like it so much. tl;dr 1. Groudon 2. Suicune 3. Articuno
  7. I haven't caught any shinies yet, but after two weeks of consistent breeding and over 1,500 eggs hatched, I finally got a shiny Honedge. It has 1 attack IV, but other than that it was pretty much perfect. I don't even care that the IV sucks though, I'm just glad I got the bloody thing. Took forever. One of my friends on Twitter gave me a shiny Gulpin as well. I love it lol. Those are all I have so far though. I'm gonna try and get more.
  8. HP - 176 Attack - 162 Defense - 128 Sp.Attack - 155 Sp.Defense - 138 Speed - 134
  9. That feel when Pokémon Bank gets delayed inevitably.
  10. OK, so I haven't posted in a while (mostly because I haven't been playing it) but I'm back now! And this time I've got all of the Gym Badges! Volkner's Luxray was kinda tedious, but other than that he was pretty easy. I could have sworn his Electivire had Earthquake. That's why he lost. Here's my status:   Badges - 8   Pokémon: Luxray - Lv. 44 Pachirisu - Lv. 44 Rotom - Lv. 44 Jolteon - Lv. 44 Pikachu - Lv. 46 Magnezone - Lv. 44 Electivire - Lv. 45
  11. My first shiny was a Wurmple, but I can't remember if it was Ruby or Emerald. I think it was Ruby. I just loved being able to say "Purple Wurmple." I'm glad it was my first for that reason alone.
  12. Electrike is always an option. I think Manectric is pretty good. I can't remember how exactly you get it, but I think it appears outside the West Peridot Ward Gym when it's a stormy night. You can also catch Elekid on the roof of a building in Beryl Ward on a stormy day, Magnemite in the Power Plant Gym, purchase Shinx for 4000 coins at the Game Corner, and I believe there are one or two more that slip my mind as well. I'm not sure what they are though because, as I said, it's slipped my mind. Any of the above should work out fine though. I must warn you though, if you choose Magnemite, I'm not sure if it can evolve to Magnezone. I have episode 10 and my Magneton refuses to evolve for some reason. I think there's a glitch stopping that from working right now. It'll probably be fixed for 10.5, but at the moment it doesn't seem to work. Just a heads up.
  13. Or when a Pokémon using Magnet Rise is holding an Air Balloon.
  14. When you're in a Double Battle and you get one of your Pokémon to use Roost as the other uses Earthquake, and Roost goes first.
  15. I had trouble with everyone but Julia, but the worst ones were Florinia and Serra. The only reason that Serra is hard is because half of her team has Snow Cloak and Blizzard is 100% accuracy. She gets a guaranteed hit with one of the best moves in the game (when hail is up at least) and you get non-guaranteed hit with attacks that are 100 base accuracy. It's stupid how hard Snow Cloak makes it. Florinia was only hard because of all the Leech Seed spam. Her Carnivine and Cradily gave me troubles, but everything else was pretty simple. I'm not even gonna question why the hell she's got a Foongus.
  16. I've gotta wait on my brother so I can trade my Electabuzz to evolve it before I can really take on Volkner, as nothing else I have can learn Earthquake. So I'm gonna stop for a bit and I'll update again after this post when I've beaten Volkner. Here's my status:   Badges - 7   Pokémon: Luxray - Lv. 44 Pachirisu - Lv. 43 Rotom - Lv. 43 Jolteon - Lv. 43 Pikachu - Lv. 46 Magnezone - Lv. 44 Electabuzz - Lv. 44
  17. This was first posted in June 2010 and it's still around, so I wouldn't expect it to go anywhere if I were you.
  18. Right, I managed to catch Giratina, and it was surprisingly easy actually. The first time it struggled itself to death (the fact I managed to last that long surprised me) but second time it only took 3 Dusk Balls. It's Brave, so it's not of any use, but then I can't use it anyway so it doesn't matter. I'm just heading to Sunyshore City now. I won't be catching any more legendary Pokémon besides Heatran (one of the requirements, that or beat it, but I'd rather catch it) and Zapdos (It's Electric-type lol.) Here's my status:   Badges - 7   Pokémon: Luxray - Lv. 43 Pachirisu - Lv. 42 Rotom - Lv. 43 Jolteon - Lv. 43 Pikachu - Lv. 46 Magnezone - Lv. 44 Electabuzz - Lv. 41 (I'm gonna be switching around between them.)
  19. Well, if I'd known that, that would have saved me a load of time. Guess this is what I get for not cramming Gen 4 knowledge back into my brain before playing the game again after a few years. Thanks!
  20. OK, so after an unbearably long period of Pichu being useless, it FINALLY evolved into a Pikachu. All I need to do now is find the second Thunder Stone. Pikachu is still pretty useless despite being overleveled (probably because it lacks the Light Ball) but at least I'm making decent progress and actually sharing my experience to something other than it now. Here's my status:   Badges - 7   Pokémon: Luxray - Lv. 41 Pachirisu - Lv. 40 Rotom - Lv. 40 Jolteon - Lv. 40 Pikachu - Lv. 46 Magnezone - Lv. 40
  21. Well, I validated my e-mail about 5 times over, but it said every time that it was waiting on an administrator's approval. It was only solved when Edge validated my account. I'd been retrying over the course of 5 days before he/she finally did it for me. I'm not really sure what the beef with it is, all I know is that someone had to manually validate me for me to actually do ANYTHING with my account lol.
  22. You know you're a noob when you use Earthquake on a Pokémon with Levitate continuously and then ask "Why didn't it do anything?"
  23. I didn't realize Pichu could learn Grass Knot. It's not done much to help it, but it's at least managed to help it actually KO something. Believe it or not, the only Steelix that can even stand up to it is Byron's. Somehow no other Steelix has been able to touch it with a Sweet Kiss+Grass Knot combo. It's just a shame that despite all that and 24 levels (with Soothe Bell attached) it hasn't grasped the concept of evolving. It's getting ridiculous, 6 badges and not even a Pikachu. It's gonna miss ALL of it's moves if this keeps up. Here's my status:   Badges - 6   Pokémon: Luxray - Lv. 38 Pachirisu - Lv. 38 Rotom - Lv. 38 Jolteon - Lv. 38 Pichu - Lv. 44 (This is getting so stupid.) Magneton - Lv. 37
  24. I'm going out again, and I don't know how far I'll have gotten when I get back, so I'm going to quickly update again before I leave just in case I make any significant progress by the time I get back. Here's my status:   Badges - 5   Pokémon: Luxray - Lv. 35 Pachirisu - Lv. 36 Rotom - Lv. 35 Jolteon - Lv. 35 Pichu - Lv. 36
  25. You know you're a noob when you enter the competitive metagame not knowing what the tier list is.
