When people get $20 worth of change, why do so many ask for two $10 bills? I can understand asking for $1s if you need tip money, or quarters for the laundry mat, but 10s? I don't get it.

two 10s are a lot easier to keep organized and in their proper place than a bunch of loose 1s or quarters.
And some people may not want to break up their change that much unless they actually need to, for that very above reason
