Non comformity, Hukuna. They were using variants of the adjective hot- by casting an antonym into the pond, I have disrupted their prior conformity.

      Sutoratosu

      Of course... they could just...

oh... I didn't think about this potential outcome...

      well, damn...

It's not pointless though, it's shows that the community is working together to make something bigger than themselves and I find it beautiful!

  2. so, I finally got this fucking thing to work right again... http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-293733657

Frankly, I don't think your opponent had any skills to make this victory relevant... :/

  3. I'm not the only person who mistook Wander from SotC to be female when they were reading the instruction manual before starting the game for the first time, am I?

    1. Lord Chespin

      Lord Chespin

      Nah, he looks pretty feminine.

      Sutoratosu

Exactly... I straight up thought "Cool, actually get to play a female protagonist for once..." till I loaded up the disc and heard the voice and was like "Nope, guess not..."

      Still an epic game though.

  4. Long ago, I wondered: What would happen if all my most best characters from all the RPs I've done on Reborn were to duke it out in a battle to the death? I now know my answers...

  5. I decided to try my own hand using various characters from RPs I've done on reborn... shit got interesting. A list of nickname references for those who need it: Summary of events: Indepth Happenings: Final Placements: End Results: The winner is The Sky Slayer from District 2! ... ... ... I am not at all surprised by this. The Dragon Riding, Murderous, Well Intentioned extremist who had spent hundreds of years in his own Canon Timeline going around executing individuals for the name of his mission... actually won this. Though, granted, he only won due to various outside circumstances and was technically outdone on the actual kill count by a little girl suffering from Pyromania... actually, wait... that kiddo is legit crazy anyway, so that's not surprising to me either. I feel quite satisfied with the results; that burning question of what would happen if each of my characters were to do battle Smash Bros style... has finally been answered. Or at least hypothetically, because... none of their actual powers or abilities of those who possessed them was taken into actual consideration... it was a level playing field in that sense
  6. Oh pax... how it warms my heart to see you sweeping like a boss http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-293053633

(If that even makes sense, it is 2:30 AM and I am highly agitated, so I am probably saying stuff I'd never say when in full control of my faculties)

    3. Maelstrom

      Maelstrom

And yes, the main goal is to cause terror to make people capitulate to demands in return for security. That's how blackmail/ terrorism works.

    4. Hiroki Tatsumi

      Hiroki Tatsumi

Since the group are not leaded by a nation, but by a theology, calling them an enemy army isn't an appropriate term.

The people from tonight were Syrians, and did that because of Francois Hollande's investment in Syria, acting against Daech in some point. So they were defending Islamic State (please forgive my poor translate on this term) and not a nation. That's called terrorism.

  8. correct me if I'm wrong: I know challengers aren't allowed megas or legends, but redemption leaders are subject to the same restriction, right?

Yeah, I realized that myself only after M-gross fainted... I was under the impression that Kyurem became a Dragon/ Elec type while fused with zekrom... never played b2w2 all the way through so I wouldn't have known before hand anyway.

But it probably wouldn't have done much overall. dat damn blissey...

  9. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-292853169 yet again... Pax is putting in just about more work than anyone else on the team...
  10. Joey Joey stayed where he was as he watched the scene unfolding with nikki and the cops. Ishamael seemed to be satisfied enough with his recent victory, but... how well would his partner hold up against the Police? This was vermilion afterall; there would likely be more than just a few electric types at their disposle... and as much as he hated the think very much about it, the sad fact was that, against more than potentially a few zaps, even his old friend wouldn't be able to just shrug it off, but then there was also Nikki to consider. The SWAT team was definitely over zealous with their response at best, it's not like she had gone done there brandishing a pokemon or something... He seemed to be fortunate enough to not have to make that decision though, at least for now. Someone's Gengar had already stepped it instead. And Nikki seemed to have already managed to hop back onboard. Mr. Hell-Chicken ((Darvan)) With everyone so focused on the commotion with the cops, no one had noticed as the sole fire type still conscious managed to haltingly wander it's way to the dead body Khan had simply left among the charred rubble of the deck. Ramses made no sound as he gazed down into his master's face, nor as he noted the inhuman agony and terror frozen in his features, nor the blood trickling down pale cheeks from the lips, or the oddly bent angle of the man's spine. His body was rigid as a statue, his eyes beginning to burn with steam as he felt something the moisture trail down his avian face... Where the hell had he been when they did this to him? Where had he been while while Exon was tortured like this? It...it had to be the Space Duck's trainer who did it...Damn it, he should've killed him when he had the chance! But that worthless fuck would pay for this...Ramse did not doubt it, because he would make sure they did... He would make sure they pay for everything. Khan ((everyone)) "I don't know if it was you specifically or just someone in your little group but you just fucked my chances of resolving things smoothly with that little move." "It's not my fault that your attempt to surrender was ruined." Khan replied, hlating just before the door. "Long before you made your choice and walked down that ramp, I had already given Hecate orders to delay and occupy the police when they arrive in order to give us a long enough escape window. She would've acted to carry out those orders regardless of whether or not you had been there. There's no point raging at me; I gave fair warning that if you left the boat, you're on your own, fend for yourself... my actions were purely in the interest of those who decided to stayed onboard." Without giving any time for a response, he pulled open the thick steel door as if it were nothing, literally vanishing into the darkness of the other side with a heavy slam. A few seconds later, the entire vessel lurched as the engines roared to life and the craft slowly began to pull away from the wharf. But... despite Khan's mechanations, they weren't entirely out of rough waters just yet. There were half a dozen dots on the horizon, blazing white and blue as they jetted across the water's surface, clear and cold sea foam thrown in their wake as the grew. It seemed that Johnny Law had access to seacraft as well... fast seacraft.
  11. I literally just finished explaining why. And Nikki's latest response to Khan's actions should also be obvious reason enough. Khan has gone and poked a sleeping bear in his attempts to keep them occupied long enough for the ship to get away...a bear that's already been poked I mean, really, It's not like I'm pulling this stuff outta my ass. There was foreshadowing both for the interference occurring and the fact of how the cops are acting. The fact that Nikki happened to decide to go down and surrender simply forced the Gengar's hand ahead of time. And as an aside for anyone who didn't realize it yet- I'm not aiming for likability with Khan. he is what he is...whatever he is
  12. bad things happen when my hand is forced. I have not told you all about SRAs, but just know they are a piece of weaponry far superior to gunpowder technology. An SRA utilizes the power of the planet itself as it's ammunition and therefore can harm any pokemon regardless of it's particular biology unlike a more conventional weapon like a sword or a gun. Imagine what it would do to a human if it's powerful enough to considerably injure a pokemon. If it were possible, sure I'd go and have you all fight the Po-po next, but they've used most of the steps on the force continuum at this point: Prescence, Verbal Commands, right now, they're on the Non Lethal Force ((Kinda...)) peg. The next step up in escalation is lethal force. And when Lethal force happens, the po-po stop relying on just their pokemon and turn to actual firepower... Now...how many mons on the PC roster have protect or some sort of defensive force field move again? TLDR: because of the things leading up to the wars, the cops in this verse are all quite brutal when it comes to responding to potential acts of terror... which the Hyper Beam offense counts as. You don't want to fight a Police Force when it's that jumpy and sensitive to provocation
  13. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ounomega-292287277 They see me settin' up they hatin; forfeitn' before I even start sweepin' Seriously though, that's the quickest anyone's ever given up against little ol' Pax... XD The guy literally just noped the hell outta there
  14. female dorms ((After everyone left)) Folie had only now realized his folly as he scanned the halls and empty entrance way all around him. Whoever had been shouting about parties looked to be long gone. He turned and checked behind him in dread as a girl's voice hurled more than a few choices words in French his way. "Spin..." The panda wanted nothing more than to facepalm in that moment. He didn't know why he had ever thought it a good idea to use Fake Out on Maya back there in the room, but he had called down the wrath of god now, there was no mistaking it. It wasn't like he had meant to hurt her or anything- he'd held back of course; the shockwave had only created a minor... disorientation... but... "Spindaaaaaaaaa...." He exhaled in frustration, hanging his head in defeat as her voice got closer. There was no point running- she'd only get angrier if he made a chase out of it, and an angry Maya was even more fearsome than an angry Erce in his experiences. He'd take Bullet Punches and getting tossed around by that Gale Shield technique of hers, anyday of the week to the girls withering, basilisk-like glare... that stare that pierced him right down to his soul, that he would see in his nightmares... that stare that- His depressing thought train was cut short by a violent jerking on the back of his neck. For the third time in less than as many hours, the Spotted fool found himself held by the scruff of the neck... dangling in the air... face to face with Maya. Face to face with... that stare. They held there for a few moments. In silence. A Silence that did little more than trouble Follie's apprehension even more. Then Maya finally looked like she was about to go off... only to be cut off by what had to be the sweetest, most life saving announcement folie had ever heard: "To all first years students; please gather at the Contest Hall where Professor Redwood will welcome you and your families personally. There he will explain how things like the Battle Points System works as well as how to obtain your second Pokémon. He will also inform you about the excursion to a Dragon Breeding Facility. The welcoming starts in 30 minutes!" He would've leapt for joy if he hadn't been suspended a good five feet or so off the ground. The Kalosian's annoyance seemed to shift more towards the shift in events than him... or so he thought. "I don't know what new level of insanity you've achieved in just the few hours or so since we've been here..." She began, whispering harshly in his face and still scowling that scowl that could've melted the scales off a dragon. "but you must've completely lost your mind back there with that little stunt. You get nothing but Energy Powder and Water tonight... and that's if I decide to even let you out before morning. I'm not putting up with this type of crap from you, so: Get. Your shit. Together." Yup, he knew it; He had definitely messed beyond measure this time. Hell, Folie was even starting to feel a pang of guilt in his gut... it honestly wasn't like he would ever do something to intentionally hurt Maya, not at all, never. But... the boredom, it had just...just gotten to him in there. It was genuine cabin fever, honest; just a case of going a bit Stir Crazy; he didn't mean to lash out like he had. "Spin-" A familiar and bright beam of crimson sucked him into the ball before even the first syllable of the frantic apology got out. Maya stowed his sphere and headed out of the doors towards the contest hall. Chances her roommate would likely be left there wondering what the hell had happened with Folie just running away and her chasing after him into the lobby, but... she didn't really care at the moment to be honest. She simply wanted to slap some sense into the panda. That and for her ears to stop ringing...
  15. Eh, figured I'd put up a few more and expand upon my first post, so... Most of them are circumstance related, and follow at least somewhat of a story order. The overall Archetype is a "Fall to the Darkside": Key: Thematic Significance/ "Battle Theme Name" An Average Clash/ "Standard Battle" A Clash of Rivals/ "Worthy Foe" A Clash of Wills/ "Crossroads" A Clash of Hearts & Souls/ "The Chosen Road" A Fall to Darkness/ "One Way Road" Decisive Battle/ "Hell on Wheels" Last Stand ((Grand Finale))/ "Dead End"
  16. Yeah man, it's not like having to wait just a little longer is gonna kill anyone...and besides, I got max revives and a stern lecturing ready for anyone who it does manage to kill and @Dobby- I've overhauled Maya's profile a bit, mostly expanding on the personality and redoing the appearance ((I pretty much realized how much I didn't really like the outfit or the hair set up when I was making a visual reference for her, so I went ahead and fixed it. Nothing too big, pretty much just a change in attire and hairstyle))
  17. I chose not to include any information on the blaziken or his teamates in my last post for a reason. I've already decided what their fate will be, and I never delegated the liberty to decide otherwise to any players... so dobby has a point there. That, and then there is the logical issues with that pathway- do you really think it's a good idea to capture an opponent's pokemon who not only has a serious grudge against you for kicking it's ass, but also saw it's fucking trainer die during the fight with the group you're apart of? That thing may have surrendered, but it has by no means lost it's murderous will... it has every single motive and reason to attempt to kill you the minute it's healed up and out of the ball again- both out of vengeance for itself, it's friends, and it's master. If you go trying to pilfer the capsule for it off of the Pyromancer's belt, it will not end well for you in the long run- that much I can assure you. That, and you don't want to piss off that woman near the railing...
  18. The host plan seldom survives encounters with players... oh how much I have been reminded of this lately...

  19. TFW you realize you're starting to see the exact same damn teams on OU no mega...

    1. Shamitako

      Shamitako

      I mean, it's still OU

  20. Recci The soldier felt the tang of blood surge in his mouth just as he came to, a sputtering, drawn out cough echoing from his lips and out into the darkness. He was blind. The only thing that painted the canvas of his black world was the swirling dust motes dancing within the single beam of early morning sun, trickling down from above. He gave a grunt of pain as he attempted to shift his weight, only to find the searing pain of a thousand splendid suns blooming throughout his right side. He looked at his shoulder, and in the light... he could the gleam of silver jutting out among bloodied and broken flesh, the slight taint of darkness still radiating from the foul weapon, though within the sun's rays, it quickly began to die. "Fuck...me..." Jackson muttered weakly. The pain was still too much to even think of moving... but he could feel it beginning to ebb along with the malice of the aura. "That little witch...she couldn't have been human... no one's capable of pulling that type of-" He forced himself up to his knees as he spoke, grinding his teeth against the second wave a searing fire igniting every last nerve ending he had. It was enough to send him blacking out the next second, feeling as his body tumbled back down and hit something hard and smooth. Hard and smooth... and moving. Jackson's eyes again fluttered open at the shrill, guttural hum of a full grown steel type. Cold, cobalt eyes lit up the darkness beside him, staring down with startled recognition. A tell-tale silver and grey light burned not too far beneath them as the soldier moved his hand to pat the monster, seemingly reacting to the rainbow hue adorning his own limb. There was no doubt about it... "Aaaaaaag..." the Aggron whispered with a wheez. "You got... caught in here too..." "Grooooon...." Recci pulled his hand away- the glow of both the mega and the key stone dying as he did so. He held gazes with his oldest partner there in the darkness... illuminated by only a single shaft of sun. The last thing he could recall was ordering... something... something to kill that damn tyranitar- no, not a tyranitar, a god damn demon- there was... light, flash cannon? Then... then another light just like it... and a scream- a woman's scream. And then everything had faded, just like that. He had felt a tugging, a pulling, and ripping; something slicing into his flesh like an industrial meat packer and severing whatever sensory connection he had to the world before tossing him like a rag doll as if he'd pissed off a machamp... and then... nothing. And after nothing- here. Again Recci forced himself up- this time managing to maintain consciousness. "Bird Christ, Galahad... we're getting... too old for this... shiiiiit." "..." "Galahad?" The beast was transfixed on something above. Something had blocked out the light. Then... the light not only returned... but expanded, expanded as two phantasmal fist grabbed hunks of the inky black material and forced the hole's berth wider and wider, bit by bit, fighting some type of unknown resistance as the beefy arms of whatever sinister god had seen fit to send them strained to continue it's progress. With Galahad's help Recci pulled himself to his feet, gazing at the spectacle as the face and body of a dusknoir he'd seen too many times before peeked down into his personal little abyss. The phantom met his gaze from on high. And within an instant, arms formed of the shadows themselves materialized around the hole, stretching it even further as the wraith carried out it's orders and a single, pitch black arm, impossibly long and impossibly huge by any corporeal standards extended it's merry way down into the hell hole. Recci did not move. He did not breath. He only laughed. shaking with the sheer amusement "Son of bitch...Leave it to him, of course... that crazy, annoying bastard, here he comes to save me... again..." the laughter stopped as subtly as it had begun. Jackson's face darkened. "Why can't you just let me die already?" Hecate The female gengar could only grin with glee as she watched the scene unfolding down below, sheltered from the sight of mortals high above. There was just something so... amusing about this human child. Hecate had seen many things... many wars, many deaths, and through it all, it never ceased to amaze her just how poorly humans were capable of treating each other. And it never ceased to get her laughing either- like a comedy sketch almost- look at them, these hairless Primeapes prancing around with their superiority, their supposed "Chosen Nature", and yet what do they do with their power? They kill one another, of course! Kill and destroy, murder and mayhem! It was what humans do... they take and take and take and... "Gen..." She sighed to herself. There was no point trying to stall anylonger, as much as she was enjoying the little fiasco. Khan had told her to take care of the police, afterall... and, here they were. And for a human, Khan... he wasn't someone she thought of crossing lightly. It was best to get the shitstorm started... May the mayhem... begin. Nikki The sound of cuff's being unlatched sounded the minute she hit the floor. Two SWAT officers dashed over as the other's kept their weapons trained on the girl, each of them locking her eyes with a cold, callous stare... heartless to the brutality of the situation. The two were nearly to her side before something...bright flashed in the area. Something bright and colorful. It flashed again...and again... and again... the SWAT followed it with their eyes, heads swiveling to one side, then back to the other, as if they were canines mesmorized by a laser pointer. Then all at once, every one of the black armors there started to stumble over their own feet as they struggled to keep balance, dropping their weapons and teetering as if they were in stupors; but teeters was not a strong enough word to describe their hangovers... a drunk man would've had better coordination than their pitiful, pitiful state. One of them (Thankfully neither of those near Nikki...) even went so far as to double over and vomit from the sheer disorientation, splattering the concrete beneath them with a foul, pungent mess as they struggled to support themselves. And yet... Nikki herself felt no effects. Whatever the attack was, it had to be the mark of a master- to be able to focus the effect to such a degree as to pinpoint the exact targets of a move supposedly capable of striking indiscriminately... it would've taken practice, effort, skill. And atop a shipping crate in the distance, Nikki could just make out a vaguely humanoid blob hovering against the pale grey sky... A Cheshire grin stretching it's twisted maw as it whacked a finger in the same monotonous, dizzying motion the light traveled in. On deck Khan paid no attention to the phenomena occurring just out on the docks... only smirked as he kept walking away. Yuzuki ((and more or less anyone else in earshot)) "I think that's already taken care of..." Said the strange woman Yuuki had seen before, this time approaching the railing beside her. The girl could see little of her face- most of it hidden by a hood as white as the frigid slush coating the docks, a matching white long coat not too different in design from Khan's, fully buttoned down her torso and hugging her figure with pants just as pure in color. Her voice lacked the burden of age however... she was probably not much older than Yuuki herself, from the ring of it. She did not make eye contact, only stared at the lightshow- which, Yuuki would notice, seemed to lack an effect on those onboard despite clearly messing with the SWAT... "That's Khan for you..." The woman sighed. She had to admit... he had her going there for a mintue- half torn between either walking over there and slapping some damn sense back into his sorry skull, or just outright searing him to the bone... "Always the thinker, always has a plan..."
  21. why not just do something akin to Aegislash's Blade and sheild form, except instead of swapping between defense and offense, the swap could be between Special Attack and Physical Attack, with the catch being that either side is a complete tank against it's particular specialty, but not so much against the opposing side ((So basically, the physical side is beefed out with high attack defense but has low sp.def and sp.attk while the special side is beefed out with high Sp.Attk and Sp.Def, but has low defense and attack)) Hell, just make it so that it switches depending on the category of the move selected that turn ((Again, like aegislash. Except for Girarig it would be determined by whether the move was phys or spec. stat moves would leave it in whatever facing it was already in that turn)) and make the animation be that the thing literally turns around 180 degrees to let the opposite side face the opponent.
  22. Whoa, whoa... wait a minute... with a parahax and my last fighter in the yellow, you could've potentially outlasted me man... so, why'd you just quit? http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/randomdoublesbattle-291438656 Doesn't make any sense to me... it may have come down to a battle of attrition, but he clearly had the advantage in his court with that paralysis...
  23. Well, given what I said about it being wise to always consider Khan's words with more than just a mere grain of salt... and how much he advocated against it, yeah, just a bit... it's okay though...this time at least
  24. I have a few tools up my sleeve... plus, I can't exactly have anyone isolated from the main group just yet... because if I allow Nikki to be captured, we'd be talking about a whole seperate story arc simply from the various forces acting behind the scenes here alone... I would be able to get her out of custody rather easy thanks to a certain someone on board, but after that... It would likely be a very long time before she was able to rejoin the main group... once we get this show to Avalon, we can do that shit all you guys choose to, but for right now... getting passage on that boat is the most crucial thing in the chapter.
