EDIT: And I just took another look at the plans, and turns out Seacrest and mystique actually aren't done yet... so yeah, gonna need to see some post from those missing hen the time comes. if they don't turn up soon, I'll have no choice but to simply cut out their ending parts of the chapter and do a basic recap offscreen in the next chapter's opening.

  5. "A terrorist attack and a crazy chick...all in one day...God, what have I just gotten into?" Mareek sighed under his breath in relief once she was gone, so low that not even Nemo could catch it. "Well... as...off as she seems, at least it looks like she's not the enemy here... so that's a thing." He took another look around the place, making sure to take in every visual detail about what the, what he assumed to be, grunts were loaded out with. Some type of high tech armor and helmets or something. To bad they didn't seem to have any outward signifiers of an organization... though he knew from the logo he'd seen on the jumbotron that he wouldn't have recognized it even if they did. "There's no use hiding anymore." He said into the darkness. He didn't have to check and see to know that Erce had concealed herself just around the corner... he just knew she was there, just like he always knew where she was, much in the same way he always just knew which duplicate was the real her whenever she used double team in battle... "We're leaving, stay close to me... seriously, please...." There was a bit more pleading in his voice at the last part than he would've liked to admit. But it didn't take anything more for Erce to emerge from the shade, and without another word the trio headed back down the stairs to follow one Ms.'Bad Bitch' and her pet grass snake. Mareek honestly wouldn't have stopped when he met up at the bottom floor's landing; the way out was easy enough to recall even in the dark...But there was no way in hell he was just going to go turning his back to this stranger, not just yet. "Well, lead the way, I guess..."

sorry i just really love his work.

  7. Mareek had no words to describe what this all was. From the strangely dressed men to the tangle of dense overgrowth, right to the obviously powerful Serpent and the woman standing in front of him now. Bizarre, might come close... and so would the word Crazy. Yeah... Bizarre and Crazy, that about summed it all up. Not that he was anywhere near stupid enough to dare voice that thought at the moment, though; He could recognize power when he saw it, especially when it was so far outside of his own level. But damn, he had to admit, this chick right here... she was some kind of scary. "Well... I don't really see what choice I have here but to comply." He said simply, steeling himself and materializing that same cold, unreadable mask of a face that he used during the battle with Lana. This lady appeared to be just a tad bit on the Psycho Bonkers Crazy side from what he could gather so far; and he really didn't want to give her a reason to start toying with him like the guy dancing that jig over yonder... "If that... impressive vine work...is any indication, then your serperior is obviously strong enough to wield the move Frenzy Plant... which means you're obviously so far out of my league that putting up a fight would be akin to suicide." Nemo, meanwhile... wasn't about to back down from the Lady's threat, even if Mareek was. This wasn't the first time this week that something had threatened to eat him up like a plate of Cubone pie a la mode, and the threats had been made by a crazy, electrical fox, no less... this lady would have to get a bit more creative with the death threats if she wanted to top Joltara in the fear department. "Cube..." Was all the tiny fighter muttered. He had hoped Erce would be nearby to back them up, but there was no response from her if she was here... either way though, he stood at the ready at his master's feet, keeping his eyes on the serpent. Sure, the snake might be powerful, but he had a promise to deliver on, and he was still going to protect Mareek the best he could, if it came to it. And if he did happen to get eaten in the process, at least he could apologize to Java on the other side... And he hoped he would give the bastard a bad, baaaaad double-whammy case of Indigestion and the Runs if he tried it...
  8. When I first created the Verse of the Exodus Stories, I had absolutely no idea how big of a playing field or how many options I was making... and now, I find I'm very much appreciating it.

    1. Sutoratosu

      Sutoratosu

I've got literally thousands of options of different stories to tell from over 2500+ years of history... spanning across 8 planets total, if not more.

    2. Sutoratosu

      Sutoratosu

And I'm gonna pluck up one of them options... think I'll call it "Of those left behind"

      Yeah... that'll do.

You can always do a "what if" or a parallel storyline. Is Stan Lee better than you?

  9. Well, that can't be good... "Nemo, you see any stairs around here...?" Mareek looked around for the first time since noticing the crying was actually laughter... The Cubone, and his only source of actual light, was nowhere to be seen... How the hell did I manage to lose the equivalent of a walking glow sitck in he- "Cube!" There was his answer. Not too far off to the left was Nemo, still holding up his Bone Rush as he jumped and down trying to attract Mareek's attention. He finally calmed down and tapped the steps of the staircase once the boy turned. "Well," The trainer said as he walked over. "You seem to have a knack for finding your way to staircases..." Nemo just starred at him. He had no clue what he was going on about, but that wasn't important right now, and he made sure to gesture up the staircase once again just to make it clear. "Yeah, yeah, we're heading up. Erce, you with us still?" A single buzz of wings was the only answer he got. It sounded close... very close. "Alright... let's go." The two headed up the stairs without anything else to say. And all the while, Mareek was just imagining what type of scene they might happen across when they finally found the crazy chick and the fighting. Well, at least, it definitely sounded like the laughter of a crazy chick, at least to him...
  10. Both him and Nemo stood there for a moment, comptimplating what they had just heard. The bone wielding Reptile again looked to his master, but his master was occupied only with the darkness stretching beyond the doorway in the distance. He could see that their path had already been decided upon though. "Forget the stadiums for now," Mareek said. A bright flash of white announcing Erce's release. "They've got the professors there, I'm sure they can handle whatever's going down. And that's not even accounting for the possible number of veteran trainers in the audience who will probably be taking action too." That was right, wasn't it? Afterall, his mother had decided to give him some time to himself and go watch the finals; how many other experienced trainer like her were probably present there as well. The winter cup was a major event... "Nemo, we're going in. Keep Bone Rush active to light our way." He turned to the giant mantis beside him. A single look between them was all it took for her to know something was going down, something big and bad... "Erce, you stay in the shadows, use your stealth to cover us encase we run into someone. We've got no idea where exactly the scream came from, and things are probably designed to echo alot in there to add to the horror effect." Without a sound, his strongest partner nodded and then lurched forward towards the darkened doorway, blurring and then vanishing completely as if she were a phantom. "Are you ready, Nemo?" The ground type nodded, holding up his construct and hoping it would be bright enough. Mareek didn't waste another minute, stepping through the door of the attraction, Nemo was right at his side as they tried to hone in on where the ruckus was...
  11. Oh... well, got it up anyways. And addressed the whole lightning thing we discussed too. no one question it, just let it be...
  12. "No..." Arya responded. She wasn't exactly alright, but it seemed like things were starting to get better at the moment. Hell, maybe it had all just simply been an overaction on the part of her body. Or maybe it was also the fact that she kinda let her mind panic silently in the background of her own head the entire time like a headless chicken, or a combination of the two. "I'll live..." Well, live with a scar, that is. The pain on her cheek was still very real...
  13. Sorry for... ah, not doing anything. I'll have something up by midnight
  14. @ The Players in Exodus 2: We're back in business. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=12441&page=5#entry370976 you know the drill; normal operations should recommence shortly

  15. Hey, guess what. I finally stopped forgetting about this thing And no more school to keep me from the story, fuke yeah! I had temporarily forgotten how much I fucking love this here world and how much effort I put into building it, but... not longer. Typhlosion, go look in the IC. We're back in business, folks.
  16. Mareek was standing just outside the doors of the medical center along with a reinvigorated Cubone just as the chaos began in the stadium. He stayed there for a moment, frozen in disbeleif as the static and message ended on the massive overhead screen in the distance... well, no, not disbelief exactly. It wasn't that he had thought something like this was impossible; not with recent events that had made it obvious that some form of terrorism could and would eventually visit the school. He was simply shocked by the fact that it had happened so... so damn soon. "Does... does this have something to do with the whole situation with Evan?" He reached one hand into his jacket, gripping Erce's capsule firm. "No... this has to, it's the only logical explanation... did...did we trigger this then? When we told Professor Cadmus... were we being watched?" He pushed the thought away, not even wanting to complicate the idea that one of the last things Java had encouraged him to do, one of his best friend's last acts in this life, had now brought serious repercussions. The boy looked to the small ground type at his side, and, to his surprise noticed Nemo was looking up at him... and noticed there was no fear in the orphan's eyes. Only a strange type of eagerness. Eagerness to redeem himself, to fight to further the goal their fallen friend had worked towards. That, and a massive amount of gratitude to Arceus above that an excellent chance to get started had just fallen into his lap. His look was one full of expectancy. it was almost as if he was trying to ask his master why they weren't already running over to try to do something. "It's almost the exact issue me and him talked about..." Mareek said. "They could be far stronger than us. We could be no match at our current level... are you sure you want to just go charging in, Nemo?" Nemo's sole response was that of light blue construct erecting from the palm of his mits, one end held firm like a sword and the over hovering close to the boy's face. He still held his earlier gaze. He didn't care that whoever the badguys here were might be stronger; though he was by no means proud of the act, of the raw betrayal committed just yesterday, he had still managed to kill an individual whom, by the standards of his current ability level, should have been a godly match up to him, an insurmountable wall of opposition. And he had done it while weakened to the point of barely being conscious at that. Maybe it was easy to accomplish such a thing when one stabs their friend in the back, when one is trusted, has the element of ultimate surprise... but right now, nemo did not care. He had faced tough challenges before, He wasn't scared, so why the hell was his trainer? "He really has changed..." "Alright then... we have to do something, afterall. And it beats hiding like a couple of cowards." And so it was that without another word, Master and soldier began heading off in the direction of the stadium, neither knowing what exactly they could do to help, but both resolved that doing nothing would be unacceptable.
  17. So... do I just have Mareek continue in the main building or have him head over to the stadium after having Nemo healed?

  21. He is. I have ported you and your men home for the sake of saving time, Jack. Right now, your team stands at the outskirts of Verdance City (Think of it as being something similiar to The treetop Villages of Endor from Starwars) Make your way to the castle proper so that we can finish out the chapter alongside Tempest's side of the story remaining. And don't try anything... for, you see...
