Oh trust me, I know the base stats for every member of that planned team. Some of you had to even tell me to shut up about base stats in the beginning couple of battles and such when I went around citing them and what not, remember? XD But yeah... that drop though...the one reason why I hesitate to decide when Juno should (If at all) evolve. But... given that Ampharos has similiar defenses- 85D/90SpD... (And other dangerous stuff...If one thouroughly examines a few things in the movepool for it...) that issue has kinda been eliminated now since their would still be a tank around even after she evolved... and then there's still conversion2 and everything. Did you factor in the fact that the Marowak evo line has double the Atk stat in this setting? And either way, if anyone had issues with the realistic plausibility of how it went down, now is honestly a bit too late to be speaking up about it... seeing as how the deed is done and the consequences already implemented and in full swing EDIT: and this is the calculations I got when I did it myself, factoring in the attack boost http://prntscr.com/78z7n0 Bone rush wasn't an option in the move menu so I just selected rock blast and changed it's typing to ground EDIT2: Annnnnnnnd I have destroyed any possibility for a brutal and bloody clash of brother against brother in their futures... but ya know what? I'm just gonna see where this whole path takes me. It's going to take a while for the entirety of the letter's message to actually sink in though, since... he's only focused on one part of it at the moment.

Ah... right didn't think about that. but then again, I've kinda just abandoned competitive altogether anyway, so I probably wouldn't know. XD

*Raises hand* Seriously. I'm not leaving this, regardless of how long the wait might be at times. XD -
To be brutally honest here, I got no freaking idea what's actually in that letter aside from the raw basics of it... guess I should probably go and fix that issue. XD Or I could just skip over it like I did earlier... though that would be a bit boring in my opinion... and pace the scene faster than I think it should go. And I don't know what the hell I'm even doing with Galen in this situation anymore... so I think I'll just let him disappear until the semi finals. But eh, at least this way, he might have something to be legit pissed off about (or at least stemming from it) So guess it still works out in the end on that front... Oh, and don't bother asking me why he needs to be pissed off. EDIT: and I just now noticed this, but where is everyone getting this thing about the Porygon line being notoriously resilient or whatever? Is it because of the whole virtual thing? Though lols, I probably shouldn't even be asking this question; afterall it took a Critical Hit Thunder Punch and parahax followed by five Crit-hit Super Effective bone rush strikes to do him in... and even then, it would've been able to recover had he have not been taken by absolute surprise seeing as how he surrendered the damn fight...and pretty much went into stand by and dropped all defenses... and got back attacked. so guess I probably started it without even noticing XD

Pokémon Academy Chapter 4: Abduction

Mareek said nothing as his mother finally pulled whatever she had been searching for out of the canvas travel vessel. Alexandra met the bout of silence with one of her own as she slid the pearly white envelop across the glass surface of the table. A ball, red and white and covered in layers and layers of neglect and dust rolled soon after it, threatening to go right over the lip of the table before Mareek caught it in his free hand. "...what is this?" He placed the old capsule down beside the letter... which now that he looked at it seemed to be just as old and forgotten. The mouth was sealed with a crimson smudge of wax, some strange insignia he didn't recognize, that of a lightning bolt falling from a tall cloud emblazoned in the depression. It was faint, but underneath it he could almost make out the words "Les Orages"... and he could also notice the fact that the seal was already broken. "It's the real reason I needed to come see you." Alexandra said. Mars removed his mit from the boy's shoulder and walked back to the other side of the couch as Mareek picked up the envelope, looking at his mother all the while. A bit of mistrust still stormed behind his dark pupils. "Go on, read it. It's seven years too late, but better it's better you see it now rather than never... especially now." Mareek said nothing. Just opened the envelope and pulled out the trifolded, ink stained pieces of paper, tossing the thing to the glass. He finally broke off the stare and turned his eyes down to the intricate handwriting...pure black ink, written in cursive script, all of flowing together like the currents of a stream...- 202 replies

Well, currently debating how much to reveal of Arya's history with my post that's coming up... either gonna be a miniscule fraction, or absolute nada... Though, I guess I should probably go and flesh it out a bit more either way- 362 replies

I once found out long ago there was an entire freaking anime named... Infinite Stratos. So yeah, join the club... And I came up with a rather interesting concept for Mareek's future team while I was trying out figure out what in god's name is going to be in that pokeball... and since I'm out of fuel for any other ideas, this one is better than any other I can think of (Meaning I just like it better) and I'm freaking tired of changing stuff, I just decided to go with it and see where it takes me and say "fuck it" to any more thinking, hence after this, I'm washing my damn hands of team building forever and walking away... and I mean it this time, really... fuck it, I'm done. so anyways, yeah. here's what's in the capsule he'll receive by the end of the scene in the Living Room: -Rava Magikarp (F) Lvl. 5 -Swift Swim Support Moves: -Splash Attacks: -Tackle Like I said, extremely underleveled for balance of power reasons (Given that juno will be ready in a few days or so and he'll regain the utter threat that was once called Java, so... that whole thing will probably be resolved by the time skip to the 2 week break after the cup. And Erce can evolve right now and everything... and then there's that lucario later...) as well as for basic development and backstory purposes. And I chose Magikarp for this particuular part for a good reason... it's quite simple the connection. There's also a...fair bit of irony in it. And I've also devised the reason for Nemo's permanent leave of absence. And I can confirm there will be an actual choice for him, not something forced by Mareek

A few of those who crashed with Takashi last night went out in the morning and had a parkour lesson on the rooftops of the slums and are currently wandering and such. Meanwhile, Faust The Lightning German!, Bark, and Nagi along with Vixen at the end made their way seperately to the upper class part of the city and investigated the cause of reccent suicides as reported last night on the tele... and all failed miserably at taking down the beast, which is now more or less flying freer than Josef Mengele in Argentina... And that about somes it up for this here "Episode" (Cause I guess that's how the chapters will be organized, lols) EDIT: on second thought, Ya know... I kinda like name "The Lightning German!" Has a nice ring to it... and reminds me of the days of surge...

Poke'mon Battlegrounds- CHAPTER 2 [OPEN]
Sutoratosu replied to TyranntX's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Stratos Before the Champion could say anything, there came the most fierce shaking anyone of them had ever felt before. Torches flickered and died along the walls, the guards fell to the stones in heaps of armored bodies, many of them cursing loudly as they attempted to rise again. A few stones even came loose from the ceiling overhead, tumbling down and shattering against the floor below. It became so intense that Stratos had begun preparing a Temporal roar in his throat in hopes of preventing the place's complete collapse... only for the magnitude to stop as suddenly as it had began. The guards had managed to get back up... though there were countless murmurs from them. "There is but one... being capable of such a quake..." Stratos trailed off as he glanced at Aria. "Hold... hold that thought for a moment. I must go ensure the city is still intact." And without another word to the prisoner, he flew off through the corridors as fast as he could... leaving the guards to take up their duties again. Azauqyar There was no time for any response for the old god before the entire chamber began shaking like a leaf in a storm. Though Azauqyar himself did not feel it physically, floating in the air as he was, he could still sense the disturbance... for it was no trifling thing, this quake. If it was so great it could even reach into the mountains themselves... "He is back..." The Sky Lord said to Ulkina. All the while the memories of the last great battle of the Eons flashed through his ancient mind. And he dreaded it. "The time is upon the world yet again..." He said nothing more the young queen. Simply strode forward into the air... and shot out of the doors of the chamber, the place yet again shaking as he hurried away, winds stronger than any gale naturally produced tearing through the halls. "There was almost nothing left of the world last time... If they are allowed to find one another..." He already knew what he had to do.... -
Pokémon Academy Chapter 4: Abduction

Mareek and Ms. Sisto(Male Dormitory, Room 213-Living Room) "Gone..." Mareek snarled to himself. He sat across from his mother on the couches besides the small coffee table. Java's ball sat clamped in one hand, fingers bone white as the boy continued to go over everything that had happened. A Pokegear colored Darker than Black sat on the table in front of him, The number for the Fighting Dojo already pulled up on the list of contacts on the screen. He didn't hit the dial button though... not yet. He just stared at Nemo's capsule, sitting right there beside it. He didn't want to just dish out the cubone's fate, even if he was a killer now, without at least having some sort of final confrontation. But at the same time, he had no idea how Nemo would act... and he honestly really didn't want to see anymore death today; Mars wouldn't be merciful if anything was attempted, and Nemo wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against the dark type. "Maari..." his mother sighed across from him, reaching out and placing a hand on his. Mareek recoiled a bit, earning another sigh. "You can't keep blaming yourself for this, honestly... you can't. You had no control over what happened at the end, you couldn't have possibly known what would've happened." The boy scoffed, eye's bitter as he looked into hers "Professor Redwood told me the same basic thing. told me things happen on the battlefield we can't anticipate, that we can't control. Well how the hell is that true right now, huh? I trained Nemo, I taught him what he used, what he knew, taught him to get up off the ground and try again, and I sat there time and time again as he constantly got his ass handed to him by stronger foes... so how the hell could I not have known he would eventually snap like he did? I was his master, he was my student, and I should've been able to see it in him a mile away..." "That's exactly what I'm talking about, Maari," Alexandra again tried to reach out, only to stop. She could already tell the boy was completely closed off as he pushed himself further away. It had been a... long time since she'd seen him act like this. But she wasn't going to go down the same route she had the first time... not anymore. The boy wasn't his brother, He wasn't Galen. Not at all. And Alexandra had no idea why it had taken her so long to remember that simple fact. "You're being too hard on yourself-" "No I'm not!" Mareek fired back pointedly, jumping up from his place. She was just saying the same thing, over and over again... it was like she wasn't even hearing him. "I'm taking responsibility for something that, regardless of what you or redwood or anyone thinks, was my damn fault! it's what you freaking taught me after all, isn't it?" Something forced him back down into the couch. He could feel Mars' iron tight grip digging into one of his shoulders, holding him in place. "Let me go, damn it!" He demanded, struggling under the Sentinal's hold. Every movement he made, he could feel him clamp down a bit harder... "Get off...damn... you..." The pain eventually became too much. Left without a real choice he calmed himself, glaring up at the steel type and grinding his teeth all the while though. The anger he was expecting to in turn be met with wasn't there though... only pity. The one and only thing in the Bisharp's eyes. Pure and utter pity. And of anything, pity was the last thing he wanted right now. "It's my damn fault..." He muttered, turning his gaze away and back towards the capsule in his hand. "I could've stopped it before it began, I could've saved him. But I didn't. And nothing can change that now..." "...I can see your father was right." Alexandra began. Mareek lifted his head, baffled by what she meant. "Even seven years beyond the grave, he's still right. I was too hard on you... I treated you like someone you weren't, pushed you too hard, too far into the wrong direction. Of course he was right..." She started reaching into her bag... though for what, the boy had no idea. "He was always right...was always the better parent, even when he wasn't even there..."- 202 replies

Well... he's old enough that he has a job and primarily lives on his own, so... think that likely says enough in and of itself. I've done some work on mantinence for the character sheet for Mareek by the way. Finally figured out the politically correct term to describe what's really going on in the relationship (or lack there of) between the brothers... it surprised me I didn't come across it sooner, but eh... better late than never.
-
"This... this right here... was precisely why they should've focused on the wings first..." Fuast was honestly a bit surprised to find himself grinding his teeth as the he watched the beast fly out of range... and then out of sight all together. He would've tried again to slash at them if it hadn't been for the pressure from that sudden shock wave forcing him to fly higher and keep his attention on getting out of the blast. "But... it wasn't all wasted. At least I got some notes on it's behavior" And then there came another buffeting of air. This one felt far different though... it was no monster that had created it, that much he was certain of. Certain because he could feel the new signatures even before he turned around and spotted the new arrivals in the alley way. "And it looks like we have company..." he thought rather bitterly. It wasn't like he had any intention of staying though; given what he had learned today, this Black Dragon would probably be... a considerable issue down the line. Especially since it seemed to be pissed off as it was fleeing. "I'd best get word back to HQ... if it manages to escalate to a certain point, and it probably will..." Without a word to anyone, still transformed, Faust rose higher into the air. The plumes that had been fired and lost against the Dragon regrew as he took off in the direction of one of the lesser well off parts of the city... having no intention whatsoever of seeing if these new arrivals were friendlies or not.

((Since I'm short on time, my response is gonna have to be cut rather short)) Arya honestly wasn't expecting it when the LCD came to life overhead with the announcement. Right there, plain as day, her number, 102. She couldn't help but smile a bit. Maybe all those passing compliments she had gotten singing on the streets had been true. Either way, it really didn't matter right now; she would finally have a real job, with a real payroll... which meant she could stop probably stop having to live off of cheap cup Ramen. Not that she ever complained about it, but... one could only eat the same damn thing for so many months before getting tired of it. Her brief moment of rejoice was shattered though when more than a few of the many girls in the waiting room began to break down in various stages from the announcements obvious implications. "I wish I could say something to them right now, but...if I don't hurry..." It was either stay and be nice or pass up the opportunity to have a better meal ticket than she had in a long while. And as bad as it might have made her felt, she made her way to the stage. * * * The contract seemed rather straightforward for the most part as she read it over one last time, making damn sure to memorize the terms. The standard thing really, nothing that popped out at her as immediately suspicious. "Guess it's...safe so far..." She thought as she signed away on the dotted line. "The whole 'sudden termination clause' thing is a bit worrying though... but it's not like I'm going to be doing this forever anyway..." Arya turned the document over and flipped to the Waiver next. And she couldn't help but feel her heart beat just a bit faster as she processed the text. "Why... why would they even need something like this?" Her hand hesitated over the page. "Death? Physical and/ or Mental Injury?" she wanted more than anything to be able to reach into her pocket and stare into the fire, but there was no way she was going to do it in public, with so many watching. "No...no, don't think too much into it right now... it's probably nothing, probably just cautionary legal stuff or whatever they have to do... Damage control and stuff..." She barely bought it even as she thought it, but she still moved her pen along the line... and then handed the stack back.

Poke'mon Battlegrounds- CHAPTER 2 [OPEN]
Sutoratosu replied to TyranntX's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Stratos- Salamence "An interesting match it would indeed be..." Stratos said. The guards around them had moved into full veiw by the time he paced back to where he had stood while ordering the Xatu's earlier. Again, he did not chastise them... though he did cast a certain ominous stare on those who kept their hands on their hilts, claws drumming against the leather grips... most stopped immediately. "As for the question of... that..." The giant chuckled. "Girl, I could sit here all day long and tell you the story of every last one of those who poked fun at me when we were all but children and knew naught any better. But I shall give you the short version-" Without warning, his eyes blazed the color of death itself as the shadows all around them suddenly started to writhe and scream in a hellish crescendo of chattering, cursing, damning voices. Within mere moments the sound grew so loud it was completely deafening... and then it simply stopped. The shadows calmed, and returned to their dark corners... though the occasional whisper could still be heard if one listened close enough... whispers containing names. Curses, ancient and Arcane... knowledge long since past. Some of the guards cringed... though not many. Those who did began to back away, something dark in their eyes... "You see, it is simple: Though they had the advantage of numbers early on, As time went by and we grew, I started to realize something. Yes, I was indeed far bigger than any of them. And smarter as well. And the moment we were shipped off to begin training, they came to realize this as well the moment I started succeeding over every last hurtle they failed at. Quite simply put, I merely followed the words my lord father spoke to me the day I left and learned to ignore the others, learned to let the fury I felt at the words not control me... but instead fuel me, make me even stronger, faster, more powerful... let it surge through my body like lightning in a bottle, and unleash it with every attack, and coupled with my size, I left each and every last one of them in the dust." As he spoke, Aria might have been able to notice that some of the guards were shifting on their feet, as if remembering something rather... troubling. Many of them refused to make eye contact with anyone as their commander droned on, eyes fixed to the floor. Some coughed into their hands in rather awkward manners. Some scratched the backs of their heads, sheepishly... And Stratos knew that each and every one of them was thinking back to those days. Yet he kept speaking as if they weren't even there..."Things came full circle, the tables were turned. It finally dawned on me that I had the blood of warriors and Champions and Captains and heroes in my veins. It dawned on me that I had the power of my ancestors in my veins, the power of the fury... For in house Valgiri, the Fury is ours. and that they did not. I accepted who I was, what I was, and what I was to someday become. I accepted that I was brought into this world as a giant for a reason. And once that happened... There was little they could say or do to me that would not simply make me stronger in the end. And they simply bit thier tongues and stopped wasting their breath altogether." The awkwardness of the guards was almost painfully obvious to anyone watching. Some of them had walked away, muttering certain nothings about 'boot camp' and the 'Shadow Challenge' and 'Never again'... Stratos still paid no mind. "But enough; The ultimate moral of my story is this, girl: Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you." Azauqyar- Rayquaza "There is someone in here..." Azauqyar began, having narrowed down the source of the heat sink to somewhere near the Throne itself... "Can you truly not feel it? That sudden drop in the temperature?" Perhaps he was simply going senile... though he highly doubted it, he had gone this many eons without losing a single degree of sharpness, and he was sure he'd go many more. Perhaps there was a draft then... but the window had not been open, even in the slightest, he had made sure of that. Either way, he could sense the coldness of the room right down to the exact degree. And it had fluctuated since they had entered, more than simply their own bodies heat being able to explain... "Either you can reveal yourself, or I can find you in a much nastier way..." The old god called out, to no one in particular... but the intruder. -

Well, thank you, my good man, I appreciate it. The new version is far better, IMO EDIT: and yes, before anyone bothers asking, the Stealing that quote from Tyrion lanister was completely necessary. And if that story is a bit sub par/ lacking and rushed, too bad, it's the very short version, and is fully intended to be that way. -

Yeah... Darvan can you remove the parts in red, and about Stratos speaking, seeing as he's... not your PC at all. And another thing, can you please stop determining the expressions/ body language and minor actions of other peoples PCs, cause I've noticed this as well a few times, and while it might be only minor bunnying, it's still bunnying. Sorry to call you out, but over the course of this, you all will find I'm very... particular about my PCs, I have a certain way of doing things with them, and when someone starts messing with their characterization by taking up the reigns without getting permission from me first (Or at least talking to me about it first if they're the host, since they can kinda take temp control if it's crucial to move the story along or etc.) That and the fact that looking back on what I posted for Stratos What you said about being able to read his thoughts and all that from the whole Aura thing Lucarios have... it really makes no sense at all given Stratos literally A- got over the juvenile tauntings of his childhood long ago and the fact that B- Most of the fuckers who made fun of him... are now, years and years later, either low ranking footsoldiers or low ranking officers, compared to him being the freaking champion of the land... so who ended up on top in the end? and therefore, C- How can you read thoughts that a character doesn't even have at that moment? So yeah... there's a few issues with Bunnying... it screws up what the author had planned for their OC and contradicts what they write, even though by creative right alone, they are generally the only ones who should have control over the character, and it also causes a host of other issues. which is precisely the reason why it's seen as bad etiquette in the first place. Basically what I'm askign here is to please stop putting words in my narration/ into my characters mouths where I didn't put any for it in the first place. -

Good god...they say to focus on containing it, and yet they focus on the damn feet when this thing is obviously capable of flight...with wings like those. Faust shook his head as he hovered backwards in the air above the scene, letting a sigh in utter disappointment. I had honestly been hoping they had a bit more... sense than this. Oh well... The german didn't bother taking anymore time to gripe to himself. Like the old saying went, if one wanted something done right... Faust spread his wing wide as he focused in on the Dragon- that was honestly the only thing he could think to call it now- and it's massive wings now in full view. One by one, a few gleaming, steel hard plumes detached and hovered before him, shimmering with electricity as they all sudden went rigid, serrated teeth blooming on their edges. Faust reached out with a single hand, his sigil beginning to spin as thunder was generated. The plumes each began to mimic the spin, within moments becoming mere blurs; like electrified miniature buzz saws, just begging to be launched at something and cut through... and that's precisely what Faust let them do. They all hurtled right for the Dragon's wings, humming with the buzz of powerful electricity, Faust being fully intent on carving up and crippling the leathery flight appendages as best as he could...

Poke'mon Battlegrounds- CHAPTER 2 [OPEN]
Sutoratosu replied to TyranntX's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
((@Dorvan, looks like a glitch or something happened...)) Stratos- Salamence The giant began to walk away from her cell. Both of the mages glanced at each other questioning as he passed right by, as if he intended to really just up and leave the interrogation without uttering even a single word more to anyone. They practically leaped out of their skins the moment he turned his gaze upon them. "You," He said, looking at the female. Her eyes still glistened with tears as she stared up into the fiery spheres. "Where is the Keystone?" "The arch Magus took it back into the heart, my lord-" "Go get him, and tell him we'll probably be needing it again. Have it brought to the keep, and make sure he and the white council come with it and are prepared, just like the trial." She still shuddered from what she had glimpsed, but she but deeply. "As you wish, lord champion..." And off she was. Stratos didn't skip a single beat, turning to the male. "And you, go find the one called thanatos. Last I saw, he and lord Azauqyar were speaking in the throne chamber." "As you wish, my lord..." and he too was off... leaving Stratos alone with the convict... alone except for the two dozen guards who had been creeping closer and closer the entire time in order to hear better. Stratos made no move to chastise them though. They were to watch the prisoner, afterall, and it was no secret that some of them were eager to get blood for what had occured at the trial. Maybe hearing a sob story had doused some of that eagerness though... Azauqyar- Rayquaza "Well the hell does it suddenly feel a bit colder in here?" "So, you wish to learn the way of the Dragon? You wish to finally take up the mantle of ruler?" He floated over to the window as he asked his rhetoricals, hands crossed behind his back. This was it. This was finally it. He and the others had finally gotten through to the two of them both. But damn had the girl put up a fight... "Very well then. just as I taught Eric then... you will learn what it means to rule, you will know what it means to sit atop... The Marble Throne." "The temperature is still low, even over here... someone is here. either an ice type, or..." He still could not pin point the cause though, as he moved on from the window back towards the girl... but he would find it...eventually.
