  1. Mareek "Yes, of course..." Mareek responded quickly. He didn't quite know why the woman would think Raiza to be in the breeding program- she would've had to have been the one to fill out the paper work afterall, hadn't she?- but... He had a feeling he probably shouldn't poke at the issue... "especially considering how much was stacked against her..." Sebastian, The (future) Black Priest Upon a perch high in the treeline watched a Creature in black and white in the afternoon light. Watching a man bedecked in black, trekking through underbrush. How interesting this one had been- Sebastian had never seen one like it. A soul that was so engulfed in the dark and yet slowly but surely, was beginning to shine stronger with that veil of light... shining so strongly that little by little, the latter was gaining ground fast and hard. This soul, this soul that he could sense the remnants of a long dead hatred in, flowing in the winds of the heart, much like a tattered banner in a tempest, long since consumed by the flames of war and the blood of warriors. Why, to think, he had been so intrigued he'd followed him for at least the better part of the journey, and hadn't even felt the urge to pop in and take control like a meat puppet... Yes, he resolved. This one was different from any other. For he could see the connections forming, the links- all of them, bright and white, blazing, like a star in the heavens. All those tendrils of white, though... more of them than not were pathetic at best... But in this man, this... gardener from the lake, Sebastian could sense one bond.... one last tie. This tie, so powerful, so bright... that all the others weakness were more than redeemed by it. This tie, so powerful, that from it's strength this man's own light was returning from to it's faded grace... even if bit by bit. Returning, it still was indeed. Galen "Why the hell is it following me like this?" Galen finally muttered to himself, gazing right at the Gothorita in the tree top overhead. He'd decided to take his merry ol' time getting back to the campus boundary... and this little psychic had been behind him every step of the way. At first he thought it had wanted food, but when it didn't even notice the Sitrus berries he tossed to the ground... that became a kibashed theory. "What do you want?" The Gothorita gave no verbal reply... not that Galen had been expected one anyway. What he also hadn't been expected, was for the little bastard's eyes to start blazing... "I don't know what you're doing, but I suggest backing off, friend..." A click and a flash, and Surge was out and glowering at the male Goth. His tails surged and whipped across the grassy soil, fingers crackling with thunder as he gave a single, ape like grunt... The fool really didn't want to start anything with Surge or his master, because He'd be damn sure to finish it... and HIM. Sebastian Hmm... how very disappointing. He was only hoping to get a few memories if he could... the man would still have them all, honest, he'd just copy them for the sake of learning what could cause such an anomaly... but alas, seems his power of manipulation does not have fans among Spanish gardeners or giant thunder apes... Without a word, Sebastian glanced at the Electivire... then quick as lightning, he was picking his own body up with Confusion and heading back the way he'd been stalking the poor fool... feet landing on branch after branch until he was far enough away to take to the ground once more and release the little telekinesis trick. His path would cross with that man again though... he could sense it...
  2. Mareek took a small step back from the scene, not really wanting to intrude in the little reunion "Yes, mam..." He nodded. "I met her here at the academy back when school was first starting..." He tossed a glance to Raiza as she was slowly being crushed by the loving embrace, unsure what exactly to do other than stand out of the way of the glompfest...
  3. There comes a time in every kings life... where he must be bitch slapped by a half-man.

  4. "Good," Mareek breathed, nodding his head in relief. The following sudden change in the girl's demeanor drew his own sight to the doors. It Didn't take him very long for his recognition to link the facial similarities and make the likeliest connection. "uh, So..." He said quietly. Chances are she probably wouldn't be able to manage much above a whisper right now anyway. "I'm going to take a wild guess and say this is probably your mom or something?"
  5. Faust stayed to the doorway of the room, arms crossed and slouching against the wooden framework. It wasn't like he had wanted to take up the invitation, by all means, he just wanted to get his damn supplies and go home for the night. The police sirens that had begun to close in after he watched them all leave, however, had possessed much different plans... plans that he hadn't been too keen on sticking around to hear. "Guess I'm not leaving the projects anytime soon..." He thought to himself, passing a lingering glance over all the crazies in the room. "Whatever- I'll just have to live off Ramen I guess... hell, maybe I'll even be able to do something nice with the savings this week..." He paused after looking at the fiery haired man sprawled on one of the beds. A mammoth blur had apparently decided now was an excellent time to look for a new home on the German-Man's-Glasses Market. "Like maybe buying actual Glass Cleaner" He removed the specs, taking the bottom of his shirt and going to work evicting the little trespaser. "Or maybe I can just do something crazy all together and try to live off of electricity... how many car batteries would I need though? Hmmm...maybe I could do it in small batches with 9-volts...Or maybe visit the City Power Station everyday...Yah, I think that one would be the most plausible..."
  6. It's more or less the same to me though XD cause if there's no sustenance to an OC- I can't take em seriously at all XD Perhaps the better/ more suitable term I thinking of is "Driven" though... yes, driven is what I mean, more than simply "Serious"
  7. Which is precisely what I mean, lols. He's still silly, but now there's a hard underlying reason to it, isn't there? or at least a greater one than there was previously?
  8. None other than Dobby, sensei. The guy who tells me to lighten up with my OCs XD
  9. And you say I write and create serious characters :I *Stares smugly*
  10. wow. lols, I should really direct some of this boredom into building up this world...

  11. I beleive our definitions of what constitutes stupidity may differ somewhat. Or perhaps very much. Mine is... quite harsh and specific. Either way, I'm not gonna go into it. If y'all don't mind, I'd honestly like to just drop out of this whole conversation right here and now, cause this happens to be my one unrelenting hot button and I don't want shit to escalate needlessly (I mean it, this is like, probably one thing that no one will ever be able to persuade me otherwise of, cause I have seen and put up with it so often in society that I'm just sick of it) or cause a situation that would need Murdoc or Sensei to become involved in. So yeah... please, let's just drop it before it begins. I really don't want to almost explode or something and have to go away from the keyboard to cool off and refrain from saying something over what I honestly know is nothing at all. Also, I never said they'd be geniuses- I only said they'd all be intelligent enough to make their own decisions and not simply function on blind loyalty.
  12. I considered that early on, but no. It's more of a matter of principle- It is not the League's explicit job to go around making sure terrorist do not pop up and wreaking havoc, or to nessacarily stop them whenever they do, it's Interpol's. The League is meant for competitive purposes, ergo, it is equip for competetive purposes and such, not for anti-terror work. Interpol (Presumably) is. Basically, let me put it like this- while yes, the league could've easily dispatched someone or done something about it- at the end of the day, the league should not have to be the ones dealing with terrorist and criminals- As again, that is fucking INTERPOL'S JOB, and while yes, the league technically could be held at fualt in the games for their inaction as well- the truth of the matter is that they honestly can receive a bit of lee way because they for 1: were not equip for anti-terror operations, and 2: were not obligated in any way to handle Terror situations happening in the world, nor had the actual authority to conduct the anti-terror operations. In a nutshell, Azery, he blames interpol because Interpol is a part of the government, the league is not (At least not directly here, I think). You know what, I'm just gonna give you another analogy like the soldier and the amateur one. Blaming the league for doing nothing about the Teams over the years, would more or less be blaming a football team like the New England Patriots for not going out and enforcing the law/ keeping peace in the streets if the Boston PD were to suddenly go on strike (Which, by the way, is illegal under federal law for any police force to go on strike) the Patriots are professionals in a competetive sport, much like League, they are not, however, Officers of the law sworn to fullfill a duty to protect and serve the public, like Interpol.
  13. "What, this?" Mareek asked, holding up the small, unassuming piece of weaponry. "This is nothing, Erce and I carved tons of stuff for the festival- I just haven't put out any weapons because... I kinda didn't consider anything about the rules and everything when we were actually making them... only in hindsight... when Java brought it up a bit too late. But I've got more stowed back in my dorm... hell, I've even got Two bokans, a full size one for myself and a small one for Nemo to practice Bone Rush with..." He paused, realizing just what he had divulged. Quick as lightning, the Kubotan was in his palm and back into the pocket from whence it came. "Crap. Can't believe I just told you that..." the boy sighed, Aghast as he shook his head. He gave Raiza a pointed look "Do me a favor- don't tell anyone about what I just said, especially not Lana or Danielle... I'm not too sure if what I've made would be counted under the whole weapons policy thing, but if it does, and I slip up again like I just did... then at least they can't be held responsible along with me if they genuinely don't know about it..."
  14. "Tch, Funny you should say that..." Mareek said. "That's actually Sensei's biggest argument against competitions- the fact that some people become so absorbed that they begin to mistake them for "real life" situations on the street. They start thinking that a mat in front of a large audiance against another trained person is the same as the asphalt and concrete against someone who's versed in the sloppy yet still deadly enough art of street fighting..." He reached a hand into his pocket for a moment. Out came the wooden cylinder of a Kubotan, the small carved spike on the end swinging about ever so gently as he let the thing dangle from his finger like a pendulum. Obviously he and Erce had spent their time more than just carving mere statues and canes and stands... "See, he always said that was precisely the issue why he doesn't let any of us do it- because people get arrogant and complacent, they think that they're going to be facing the same thing every time they get in a brawl- another student of some form of formal MA... when in reality, they're far more likely to be fighting someone who has no training and instead uses off the wall, improvised, and far more malicious tactics. And he says that's what gets students killed faster than anything else." He looked back to Raiza. "So... yeah, I've never done a competition, and I don't want to either... cause he kinda has a valid point from how I've seen people who do participate act after a while."
  15. What are you talking about? Yes, that assumption holds true when the trainer treats em like shit or something, but mareek honestly isn't like that, so... really, it would make no sense to have "Intelligence" even be an issue. Hell, I'm gonna have all his team be intelligent infact, except for maybe Vex the Claydol who is... a bit vexing at times. Cause I already have explained how the dynamic of his team and partners fucntions on free will and their followin him because they are intelligent enough to be able to choose and have consciously made the the choice to give allegiance to him and Erce and Java. (Why do you think I called the recruitment "Fire Emblem Style"?) Of course, I could just have things go the same way they did on his brother's path and have his mons have blind loyalty- like that Electivire or Crobat, and have the intelligent one (Zoroark for Galen) constantly question everything and be contemptuous. But that obviously leads to disaster since a man is dead because of that team. Plus, I'd personally peg stupid mons as more of a danger- what's more likely to go on a barbaric rampage at the slightest provocation, an intelligent being, or an unadvanced one like a cave man? It's the same thing as the Soldier and the Amatuer analogy I made to azery earlier concerning the danger of certain mons due to abilities and biology. Oh, and I hate stupid things/ unintelligent things, it's my biggest peeve as a host when a player does some stupid shit, and It;s my biggest peeve IRL when people do stupid shit, so that's also a very big factor here. I just despise stupidity OH, and secondly- having an occasional instance of deception or distrust (EX, with nemo sneaking off on his own at times without telling anyone anything) leads to far more CD than just having a team full of mons who will bend the knee and do whatever they're told without question. There is a big difference between Loyalty, and just plain Blind Obedience.
  16. "Eh...not really..." He again sheepishly scratched his head. "I never really thought about any connection to the master from Karate Kid, but... my Sensei Miyagi believed in keeping things old school- keeping it so that Martial Arts were used for their original purpose of self defense and not just to entertain spectators. So if you were his student, chances are the possibility of you ever being approached or offered to participate in anything was slim and none. And if you did and actually accepted, you weren't gonna be his student for very long afterwards..."
  17. I straight up stole everything about the description of that training regiment from the original Karate Kid XD EDIT: I'm gonna change the Instructors name to "Miyagi" BRB XD EDIT2: here's a bit of irony- trained in martial arts karate kid style, doesn't have a single fighting type partner and uses the same type as Sabrina as half of his specialty EDIT3: Also, I'm planning to have Brienne be encountered as an Aron and run D-rush, which will more or less be her bread and butter move since something about having inherited the power to use it from her father or whatever. Here's the planned set for the encounter: Aron (F)- "Brienne" It might seem a bit strong for an initial encounter, but the D-rush is more or less gonna need a bit of... work with actually staying on target after a certain distance, and her maturity is going to be the equivalent of a 26 year old/ youngish adult (Same as Java) despite being unevolved... also, I only gave her three attacks to try to balance it out a little, same with only one support move. She's going to be rather intelligent though... enough that it will impress even Java...
  18. "Yeah, well... my training wasn't as orthodox as that, I guess..." Mareek sighed, shaking his head and chuckling just a little as he recalled all the... odd jobs and seemingly purposeless tasks. "This particular Sensai- Sensai Miyagi... he wasn't much for the Dojo's ordinary style. He more or less had all his students take on different tasks instead of actually teach us right away- from tending the rock garden, to cleaning windows, to carrying things up steps. Basically he more or less pawns off chores on his students that they honestly can never see the point of in regards to learning." He looked up at Raiza, a slight smirk on his mug. "But that in and of itself was the whole point. He keeps them doing that until they begin to actually question or challenge it outright, then... he really starts the teaching. And everything he instructs- it's all similar to the motions needed to do whatever jobs he's been handing out- climbing the high steps forces you to lift your knees higher for kicks and makes them more effective, Cleaning windows helps build the muscle memory for blocking blows in a circular motion, tending the rock garden teaches you about momentum and force and also helps with staff training later on- so his students have been learning pretty much all the basics in a far shorter time than other instructors who try to drill it in. Which I guess is also the same reason why all his students make first Don faster than any other class and he has the most post-black belts still under his tutelage."
  19. "Grab her? When did I...?" Mareek gazed down at his open palm. The capsule was no longer there- though he could catch it's red glint on his belt... which honestly scared him just a bit; if just thinking about Galen made him that... lost, that entranced that he could do things like grabbing folks with as much speed as Raiza tried to mimic and not even recall it... but then again, it could've just been the reflexes, they typically happen so fast you don't even realize what happened until your body has already moved on it's own... and not like he was out of practice or anything, so it would make sense. "Uh... again, no, not a Ninja... Though I was trained at the Fighting Dojo back home in Saffron. My mom is good friends with the wife of one of the Senseis there, so... I kinda got lessons and everything as a favor."
  20. I'm gonna wait till everyone's already gone inside the hideout /alley before doing everything. For the time being, just more or less assume he's paused while walking and just standing there
  21. Tried well indeedXD it was so random it probably worked "Hey, are you a Ninja?" it came out of nowhere just then, lols, just lols XD EDIT: Wait, when did he...grab the nurse? eh, You know what, nevermind, Let's just go with it- fits well with him being so deeply engulfed he lost touch with reality for a few moments.
  22. "...What?" He asked, looking at the girl as if she had just grown another set of arms. "I'm... not entirely sure what you mean... or where that came from all of a sudden, but... No, I guess?" He scratched the back of his head all the while. Seemed like this whole conversation had officially taken a turn from simply awkward- to just plain random... not really his forte in either case.
  23. So, have fun dying in the rebellion, I'm declaring official neutrality in this conflict.

      Azeria

Well, that's dissapointing. I respect you're decision though Zerron(Can't really get used to calling you Faust since iirc there's another member called that)

    3. Zephyrus the Priestess

      Zephyrus the Priestess

Can I be the side that kicks back and watches and/or laughs at the needless and foolish fighting? Yeah, I'm just gonna be that one guy.

    4. Shing

      Shing

      @Zephyr Cool for me.

  24. Or that, that is fine as well, just so long as you say something XD
  25. Then I guess we'll just stay like this for a while o_o Because I'm legit serious about not having a single member of his team get involved or have Java say anything. Ya know, Raiza could always... pry, if you can think of nothing else... knowing him though- might either get shutdown almost immediately thanks to the wall or shit might just get intense thanks to the inferno of emotions and chaos thats burning somewhere just behind it's icy reaches
