He may try... *Stares Kubrickly* Most of those feels though will mainly be constituted of an Achilles de flandres level of hatred though, so be forewarned about that... What? Lols, how do you know Galen's even going to die? you a future reader or something? but nah, seriously, there's only one way his biggest mistake in life can be fixed...and forgiveness gained And as fun as that might have been to run with, I'm afraid that part's a bit off... Galen didn't steal Erce directly from her OT, that was all done by some other bunch of grunts and her capsule was more or less thrown into a back corner or something in the storage room in the Celadon GC and forgotten about... Till Galen came along and noticed it, of course...

Oh my beejus... Someone finally took a jab and actually got it right XD Yeah, that's basically the gist of the reason Zeph. And the fact that his mother is somewhat of a feminist and pretty much raised on him on her own even before the silph co. incident., coupled with the fact that the only male he was actually close too kinda has become nothing but a manifestation of pure evil in his eyes and that daddy simply wasn't at home very much... yeah, it should've pretty simple to guess to be honest given all those hints dropped. basically the biggest underlying reason for it is... Galen. And yes, I did, zeph. but remember our talk on showdown a good while back? she's got a much longer backstory before any of that even occurred and she was turned into nothing but a piece of property to be handed out to gamblers...

Ah yes, that's right... I've still yet to reveal but a tiny fraction- which is basically the end of the tale.... Hmmm... I'll have to get around to that some time.

And I liked when Jeoffrey got to choke on his own blood and vomit at his wedding feast and died. He kinda was deserving.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]

He kept up the silence, not wanting to disturb the girl in all her gratitude at the moment... it was ironic though- all her thank yous brought back how he had been one time...back when he'd met Erce for the first time. How many times had he said 'thank you' that day? How many times had that bastard smiled his paper, serpentine smile, and nodded and told him it was nothing? How many times had that man looked him right in the eye and lied to him? Hell, in fact, how many times had he lied to him and mom both over the entire time? How long had he toyed with them, played with their trust and emotions like child would blocks? Mareek absently grasped Erce's empty sphere, removing it from his belt. His hands went bone white as he gazed down into that glossy, pervasively red tinted reflection, warped and rounded and interrupted by glare. Over the years, whenever he'd done just so... he sometimes thought he could see the same older, red headed, lying reflection staring over his shoulder... smiling... and over the years, whenever he did... he always wanted nothing more than to smash the thing into pieces- try to kill the ghost. Try to kill it though he knew such a simple act would do nothing to harm it. And lo and behold. Big Brother was watching. "I'm coming for you someday..." He mumbled under his breath. His arm began to shake as the muscles strained from the pressure being exerted. "I saw through that facade that day... I saw the evil in you, I saw the real you, the emptiness in those eyes, you shit eating, manipulating, lying, egotistical... I'm never going to face that type of pain again..." "Stop." rang in his ear. "You might damn well break it at this rate. And the shards won't be easy to dig out of the palm when you do." The warning might as well have been given to a wall though. Mareek couldn't hear him, just standing there, back to the counter, capsule still clutched in a death grip, Blood boiling, and teeth grinding like a millstone...- 1255 replies

Get the reason why Mareek is more open with Females than Males... It's pretty obvious why at this point to be honest. I've introduced all the elements pointing to it's cause already in this chapter. Practically gave it away on here, even... just takes a bit of thinking about the pieces. Though lols, I don't really give a damn if anyone manages to figure it out- it'll just give me more reason to continue showing it in the writing anyway Hmm... I'm debating whether or not to reveal exactly how Erce was obtained...

"You really don't have to thank me..." Mareek said, shaking his head. A few distant memories or two tried to waltz up to the border in his mind, though he put his walls to good use and immediately sent them packing... "Reall, don't. It's hard for me to find people who I can actually call 'friend' and not taste my own breakfast in the back of my throat... I'm not like the socialites around here, people like Danielle or Jacob or Claude. I can't go around having friends a dime by the dozen- it just doesn't feel right... making myself that... vulnerable... with people who I barely know..." He glanced over at Raiza, his eyes like twin masks of cryptic thought. "So... when I find someone...find someone who I can just feel I can trust, that won't try to nail me in the heart in return for trusting them... I always make sure to treat them the best I possibly can, cause chances are... I won't find many like them." And like that, the boy fell silent as a rock.- 1255 replies

So... Zeph, since I have no idea what else to do besides sitting there in awkward silence, I think I'll use this interaction to shed a bit of light on the family dynamic and all... though it's just the two of them, so not much of a family anymore... And I'm surprised no one's gotten it yet...

"Wha- uh... no, no...it's fine, really..." Mareek said, shaking his head sheepishly when he saw that grin. "Don't... I'm sure she'll be here soon. Besides, I don't really think it would be right if I dare allow myself to think I could just... summon her at my beck and call like some chauvinist... my mom would probably kill me if I did." It wasn't meant literally of course... well, perhaps it was. He loved her, he honestly did, she was the woman who had borne and raised him afterall... but he had to admit, His mother could be a bit crazy if one pushed the wrong buttons. At the same time he thought about it though, another fact came into mind... "She used to be so different though, back when I was little... before Dad died and Galen and Silph Co. and everything... though, I guess in the end she was only doing what she had to do for us..."- 1255 replies

Alright, so here's all the photos I took visuals from in order to come up with Hans... Now for the inspiration for his transformation: The reason I chose to base the transformation of off sephiroth, aside from how badass it might look, is simple. The man tried to commit genocide. Twice. And got his ass handed to him. By a coalition he, in his arrogance, had underestimated in the beginning and as such had made mistakes against. Just like Hitler and his blunders against allied forces in WWII. And Sephiroth is also confirmed to have been mentally insane, just as many speculate Hitler was spiraling towards/ already deep in the the depths of by the time of 1945 rolling around. Ultimately though, it represents how even though Johaness might look like something, does not make him that something. even though he resembles his forefathers from the Third Reich, he is nothing like them at all, and even though he resembles sephiroth while transformed, he does not act like the insane monster that man became. His magic revolves around lightning because of the german tactic of "Blitzkrieg"- IE, "Lightning War" used in World War II against Poland and France. Events from the past are reflected in Johaness and his character, from his nationality to his appearance to how he almost got killed, all of it. all of it is for one reason. It's because the general moral and message his character is meant to portray is: People need to stop fucking blaming each other for the sins of their fathers. The saying of "Forgive, but do not forget." exists for a good reason.

Hell, I do it too... exact same reasons XD It tends to be easy for me though, I just go on a massive YoutubeWalk (similar to a wikiwalk on TV tropes XD) and eventually, something awesomely fitting will present itself from the wood work EDIT: That's what I thought... Faust is more or less inspired by Captn America from Hentalia, along with elements of a few other pics that I can't access right now to show thanks to school blocking pinterest...

oh... k then, if there's no blood relation... just making sure you're not retconning any major pre-existing individuals without permission XD Though chim might or might not have reason to still shoot it down.
-
hmm... so that's who sakaki is then? yeah... seeing a bit of issue there. Did uh... did ya ask Chim about that before you just went and took a preexisting major character in the pokemon world and had them related to your PC? while I'm sure he probably doesn't have anything planned for Giovanni, there's no way to know that for sure without actually asking- plus that in and of itself, establishing blood ties without checking beforehand with the creator, is a bit of a suish trait to be honest... not to mention disrespectful to the host in a way.

Getting closer. as for the father being a dick O' tool, that was somewhat of the original plan (though it was more of him just constantly working over spending time with his family in my original draft of their personal histories) but I acually recently went back and edited the entire backstory of what occured in the PM for galen I have going on for Chim, so thanks for reminding me there's some monologues with Galen I need to go back and edit a little... Anyways, Galen's most recent thoughts on the lake shore are, at this point in time, the only reliable reference to what their father was like... since neither Alexandra nor Mareek have even brought him up directly for various unspoken reasons they both hold and all the other one's I had Galen make in his past dialogue are outdated with the newer version of events. but you're getting warmer EDIT: And regarding the lake... I'm considering maybe having him occasionally return every now and again just for the sake of a few moments of solace...maybe befriend something there like a young mon that will wait for his visits and overall give him some more development, cause honestly, he started out as a throw away auxiliary character to me, but... I've found that my feelings in regard to him have grown a bit- in other words, I actually care enough now to start thinking of portraying more than just the one dimensional being he's been for most of his screen time. There was once a reason why his little brother cared so much and was so fond about him afterall... In fact, I might have that mon he befriends straight up be Azelstan (The Aggron who joins Mareek in year two) since he'd be able to relate to him in a way... ((Azelstan would probably be more of a roamer anyways who really doesn't have a set home in the forest or anything but likes to stay near sources of water)) and it could make for a far deeper relationship with Mareek down the road and such once he joins and notices the semblance and realizes who the kid is...
-
"Whoa now sir, I didn't mean it like that. Apologies if I offended." *Backs away slowly in fear of shotgun* But no seriously, who knows what impact his brother might have had on him...? I've given three pretty big hints... Chim should be able to get it easily given he knows the entire story of what transpired in the family\ and it shouldn't be hard for anyone who knows something about the basics of child development and family dynamics and what not...
-
Oh, very nice guess Chim... but no, his mother would kill him if he dare treated ladies that way. He'd be six feet under, just like his Old man
-
That little detail is part of it for danielle in particular, yes... but take his overall demeanor around other male student PCs like Claude or Jacob or James or Henry or Kenny and then compare it to how he is around Sissy or Danielle or Raiza now...
-
Oh, you bastard... eh, Lols, not like it can hurt anything XD. Guess that means Raiza and him get to know each other a bit more... which still serves to help his relationship with lana down the road. And anyone notice that Mareek seems to be more open around females? Kinda like the lone wolf loses his otherwise ever-present and ever-bared fangs or something... Anyway, Zephyr I'll see if I can get up anything soon... no promises, cause, #School

"Yeah, guess you could say I was." he said, eyes back on the screen. "I figured she'd probably be up in the stands and come down to the waiting room to see you after the battle... though when I saw you sprinting for the medical center..." He gave a slight shrug. "Well I pegged that something probably happened towards the end, so she'd probably come to see you here instead or something I guess... Eh, maybe I just over thought it all or something- I dunno..."- 1255 replies

"If you managed to put him down, then you honestly don't deserve to be called the idiot- he does." Mareek said, not too sure what the whole thing with the phone was about just now. He leaned against the counter, glancing up at the monitor on the far wall. "Just like I predicted, he had his head so far up his ass that he took the advantage he had and turned it into nothing. And he probably hasn't learned anything from this at all...from what I saw, he came out obviously expecting an easy win, and as things dragged on and you kept putting up a fight and outsmarting him, he started being more and more of a dick because he realized he couldn't have what he wanted. Childish and immature, like the basic equivalent of a little toddler throwing a tantrum. So... I honestly wouldn't waste too much thought on anything he might said out there if I were you." He pushed off the counter lightly, hands tucked into his pockets. His eyes drifted over to the nurse as she worked in a flurry. "I also wouldn't worry too hard about your Sneasel there. She gave it her all and held out until all the way to the finish- and these aren't exactly death matches, if you catch my drift..." he glanced over at the friend of the lone person he could genuinely call the same word besides his own companions. While true, his first impression of her hadn't been all that smooth, he'd honestly gotten over it not long afterwards- it had been a simple mistake afterall, and nothing had been destroyed. That and the fact that he couldn't help but feel sorry for her in way; having to go up against someone who spends the entire match spewing stupidity and arrogance and acting like he owns the damn world was never fun... Ok, that last part was a lie; There was just a certain appeal to making those who thought they were hot shit, realize in the end that they couldn't even make the run to the bathroom, And to him it was always fun after he won against those types of trainers, put them back in their place and maybe get 'em to shut up if he was lucky enough. Especially if the floor got mopped spotlessly clean with them. "And besides, here you are now, getting her medical treatment first thing after the battle ends. I'm sure she'll be fine after this..."- 1255 replies

Yes, it does... which could be some sort of reference to the liberation of the camps if one thinks about it... If I didn't know any better... well, judging from the lyrics and the tone of the overall vocals (More of a solemn, lamenting theme in the beginning, rises a little in the middle-late, and lightens towards the very end.) I'd say this song might've been intentionally written to unconsciously imply something... kinda like saying "We're not going to tell you that;s what we want you to think about, but please think about it anyway, if you're smart enough to realize what we want you to think about but are not directly saying to think about." EDIT:also note- Stratos does not speak a lick of German... he just appears to because of google...

^^So yeah, in other words lets just cool it for the time being... And ... I kinda found this... Thinking they could go well for Johannes theme since for some reason, the lyrics keep making me think about the holocaust- or rather the potential lessons yielded from it about the darkest side of human nature and why humanity must improve itself overall because of this. Especially that last line of "No one shall be meaningless deprived of his live..." which is kinda spot on to the theme of his personal history in way. just find it fitting since hate spawned from the events of that time period, which themselves were spawned by hatred, is the very thing that damn near got Hans killed... solely because his accent fit the bill of his forefathers...
