  1. Thank god, finally over... Chapter 2 will be up in a few days, or maybe even tommorow. But first: Where are the following players? I have seen like no sign of them in this lately either OCC or IC. Sarah Answell- Rosesong Katsumi Erdos- Snap Crackle Pop (I know there's some situation involving being restricted from the web as punishment, but what's going on currently? is she still under lockdown?)
  2. Zero "Hold him, Soraph." The doctor ordered as she as she placed her hand on the plunger, preparing to drive the needle home into Zero's ribs. "Make sure you grab tight, don't want him flailing around on us and injuring himself even more." Soraph only nodded, giving the man's arms a grab stronger than steel and keeping him anchored down onto the bed, forcing him down and moving his hands up to his shoulders after applying a few straps below... "Alright pax," She said. "On the count of three... One...!" without warning she cut the count short and drove the syringe down right into his side... the screech of pain that followed was deafening. ((---End of Chapter 1---))
  3. And stratos said "Let all the Talker Apes in the camp be named after Angels." And so they were...

    1. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

      Well, why the hell not?

    2. Sutoratosu

And yay, for they were called:

      Soraph- The Clinic aid

      Michael- the first perimeter guard

      Aarin- the second perimeter guard

and so and so forth. And it was good.

    3. Sutoratosu

And yay, for Michael was the one going around mercilessly snapping the necks of feral Talker Apes. and that too was good, for the feral ones are man eaters given the right stimuli and circumstances, despite anything Commander Bane says.

  4. Zero "Did you really have to gut check the man, Soraph?" Zero heard a refined female voice ask as the sound of boots on the smooth white floor echoed up. A shadow feel upon him as he lay there, a doctor towering before him, a creme colored exo suit like light sand with a red cross emblazoned on her chest armor. She knelt down and offered her assistance to the patient, gradually helping him back up to his feet and guiding him over to a cot nearby and easing him down to sit. She began clacking away at the Computer terminal by the bed as the Black Ape reappeared with a locked box protected by a password key. "Zero Pax, four detected broken ribs and two fractured in multiple places..." she said as she finally located him in the databanks. "Supposed to be on the inquisition team heading in tomorrow... how careless of you to go getting injured like this." She wheeled the chair away from the terminal, putting her attention on punching in a number sequence on the Lock Box her helper had brought. "Strip off your exo suit's top," she sighed, producing a long syringe with a bright teal serum of sorts inside. "This is Regen, a drug you've probably never heard off... I have to inject it into the bone, afterwards it'll speed up the biological healing process." She took out a cotton swab and wiped down the syringe, meanwhile the ape started moving towards him... hands up and prepared to pin down the Shock Trooper. "I have to warn you though, this will hurt... very, very much. Most people actually prefer just to wait for the long haul for things to heal... but we don't have that kind of time given the situation. Now, either you can comply and be helpful, or Soraph here can do it for you..." she gestured towards the Talker.
  5. oh, shits about to go down in this story... oh wait, shit's always going down. Nevermind :/

  6. "And he's not the only one..." Lucian said, drawing his gun quick as lightning as his gaze was fixed on something in the distance. If the others glanced over, they'd see exactly what he was on guard about; They were supposed to be hunting the dragons... but the dragons had spent the time men had wasted chitchatting hunting them instead. Right there, behind a nearby ruined building, must've been the fire one, Scales a bright scarlet like blood with a creme colored underbelly, a bulky build and thick neck with powerful looking jaws and small, red eyes that burned like the sun as they sized up the Party. It's wings burned with solar light, giving day tot he night with it's intensity, and the barbs at the end of it's thick tail held just as strong a luminense. It's Scales were slotted in certain places, each one bearing light like that of it's wings, tiny windows into to great star itself, pulsating as the beast tensed it's body, preparing to attack... but...the most intimating fact of the whole situation was that the thing was bigger than a house while on all fours "Oh how right you are about that, Gunslinger," a voice which only Sinabd, Boho and Deric would recognize called out in the night. On a further glance, the men could spot someone standing atop the Wyrm's head, arms crossed and a smirk on his face as he shook his head and chuckled. He wore a sleeveless, Collared Long Coat the color of emeralds, gold embroidering on the fabric with complex and expertly wrought straps and buckles going down it's length and stopping just above the waist. Underneath his outer wear lay a long sleeved shirt of similiar quality, tan like leather, with a sash resembling blood in it's vivid color running across the waist of his pants, which were just as impressive for a man of common blood like himself. On his arms he wore Leather padded gauntlets, fingerless to provide ease of dexterity, yet still offering substantial protection for the hands. An impressively engraved sword lay strapped against his back, likely pilfered. His face was adorned with a slight five o clock shadow, his Raven black hair blowing in the wind as he peered down with his grey eyes, looking at every member of the Travelling party for a few seconds before moving on to the next... only lingering longer when he found Deric. "Ah, there you are," He said. "I was a bit worried after our last little bout. Thought you might've been wounded and gone off to die in the dessert," The Dragon he stood atop off gave a fearsome roar in concurrence. "Theos here was still hungry thanks to you; had to kill and eat poor Tibus, but he's more than happy to indulge himself a little more by feasting on all your corpses." "This ends tonight, Marca." Deric said solemnly, his blade beginning to glow hazily again. "All of them... all of the people we both ever called friends, you killed them all, struck them down one by one as if they were nothing. First our mutual love Lucretia, then her brother, then Decate and Marshall... even Royce, old, quiet Royce." "Oh please," Marca retorted. "Friends? they were never my friends, and Lucretia was never my lover. They were all in the palms of your hand, remember? I was nothing more than a pariah after a while, an outcast, an unneeded wheel. Each and every last one of you left me behind in the past, forgot about me, ignored me... even Lucretia, thanks to you. If that's what friends do to other friends, I'd much rather just stick with having enemies." "you're so blinded by your own anger and frustration that you can't even see that you're the one who isolated himself," Deric sighed, shaking his head. He lifted his gaze again, this time filled with a familiar fury. "But nothing can excuse what you did to her that night, you monster..." The smile instantly vanish from Marca's mouth, face going just as solemn as Deric's was. "I know it doesn't." Was all he admitted...
  7. Um yeah... I thought I made a pretty strong implication of that with the whole flashback scene from after the show... and the mentioning of him being "Sleek and rounded" in the scene in the challenger Waiting room
  8. As soon as the show was finished Mareek had said his goodbyes to Lana for the night and followed Java over to the lab in the main building. He couldn't help but think about the Evolution stage that would come after this next one the porygon was about to enter into though, specifically that dreaded habit of being unpredictable that PorygonZ's commonly had... If Java were to get to that point, was there any way he'd even be able to control the thing anymore? "No, not control..." He had corrected himself mentally as they'd waited in the elevator, casting a glance at his smartest partner. "I honestly don't control him now as it as, so I won't be down the road either... He does what he wants to do of his own free will, kinda like Erce. Hell, I don't control any of them, really,"-He redirected his eyes to the floor number screen as the cabin began to slow down as they reached the floor, the doors beginning to open and reveal the interior of the laboratory beyond- "All three of them just do as I ask because they want to in the end, because they trust me, have faith in me for some reason..." The doors finally opened, and he and Java both exited, the boy taking out the upgrade from his jacket, Java knowing what was next to come and anticipating it with eagerness. "I guess this just proves the fact that it's far better that you treat them like individuals, instead of just tools to do as you say." ****** "Bring up the page on the Henry again," Mareek said as he and finally made their way through the crowd and into the waiting room. Even though, from what he understood, his match was going to be among the last ones of the day, he honestly didn't care very much to sit up in the stands and watch, that and the fact that in here he could examine in this latest... discovery the now sleek and rounded Java had made in peace and relative quiet without the roar of thousands of people in his ears. The page with all Baldwin's past battle information came up again as Java navigated for his trainer within his Pokedex. "Now try to find his opponent's data." The page loaded again, this time with Kristen's instead... Mareek next ordered the Co-strategist to find his own data, and lo and behold, there it was, every battle he'd ever fought since he'd enrolled. It felt a bit strange watching himself give orders from another perspective other than his own, to see his own tactics and improvisions through the lenses of a camara. "Good thing I've only used a small portion of all the tactics I have in battles so far..." The screen went white and a few black letters spread across it as Java hammered out exactly what he was thinking at that moment. "No strategy is ever safe once it's been used out in the open... in the future more thought will be needed as to proper time for revealing." "You're exactly right," he said into the screen. "But how exactly did you find this in the first place?" "Traipsing about the web at Ungodly hours last night. Located site at approximately 3:46 AM, scouted for several hours more before deciding to bring to attention. Data is found to be impressively extensive. As can also see, clearly all battles are secretly recorded" "Well that's not surprising, it would make sense they'd keep tabs on this type of thing for all the students... but why make it so... available?" "Sportsmanship? Breaking strategies, preventing stagnation and overuse of tactics, etc. all Likely reasons, but exact purpose and motivation of making available unknown. Further inspection required." With that said, the screen faded to black as Java went back to his intel gathering in the cyberscape. Mareek shoved the device back into his jacket pocket, taking a look up to the viewing screen as Henry launched the first salvo in the fight. He noticed Jacob in the waiting room as well as he sat down in an empty chair, though said nothing nor did anything to draw the other student's attention to him, simply watching the fight on the screen unfold as he waited for his partner to finish and return with his findings.
  9. Break these laws, expect no mercy from those who will pursue you

  10. "Amazing how the mere threat of the power of Christ instantly snaps her out of it..." He thought to himself, putting his hands up defensively to try to calm Enya down. "Whoa, whoa Enya, just calm down, alright? No one's gonna touch ace, OK? I'm just trying to make sure that no stray demon from this circle decided to walk into your head and take over,"- Thinking to himself "But Now I'm suspicious about that teddy bear... why get so defensive of it from the mention of Exorcism? there's no relevance between a toy and it.... unless... I'm keeping my eye on it, and her"- "You were speaking in tongues and rambling non stop, a sign of Demonic Possession. Looks like it's over now though, so we're fine." "That's a lie, Demonic possession can just enter into a dormant state whenever the demon so desires, to give the illusion of having been cast out... can't tell her that I know that fact though, else whatever's latched onto her might lash out, and I'm tired of fighting demons left and right right now. As much as I hate to leave the kid to fall prey... whatever's with her is just gonna have to tag along for a while longer until I can find the right opportunity." "Come on," He said, making a mental note to himself while also gesturing down the hallway. "Let's go find Rose, see if she's in trouble. You want to help Rose, right?"
  11. *Asked earlier about where they'd find a catholic presit in the middle of hell, realizes later that his own PC was raised in the family shop and exposed and taught about a shit ton of notable Metaphysical concept and beliefs in the world.* Hmmm... to attempt exorcism using Catholic Methodology, or to not attempt exorcism using catholic methodology... that is the question.
  12. "Come to think of it, that leaves me with a bit of a dilemma..." Ethic thought to himself as he watched the woman take off after the all too literal rat bastard. "I could go after them, try to help tear him apart limb from limb, but on the other hand," He looked down at Enya as she continued her strange tongues. "I should probably find rose as quick as we can. Whatever the hell's happened to enya, I think it may have broken the kid.... plus, it's not like killing Quincy here would solve the issue with him. Styx might though, just gotta wait and see..." He stopped for a moment in his pondering when he actually absorbed for the first time the fact that Enya was talking in Tongues; yes, Tongues, of all things, which could only mean... well, this was hell afterall, it wasn't too surprising. "Alright, Demon," He sighed, shaking his head. "Look, I don't know who you are or what you want with Enya, but just let the kid go, would ya? We've already got enough shit to deal with around here without adding the issue of a Demonic Possession on top of it. Either you can just waltz away nicely, or I can start compelling you with the power of christ and force you out. It's your choice, bub."
  13. Surge and co. "There should be a few basic medical supplies like Pills in all the load out packs," Surge said, arms crossed and eyes fixed at the bridge as Infantry cooled off his war declaration and sat there snarling. "The red ones with 'Cheri' inscribed on em cure all forms of paralysis. Find em, use em. Speaking of which, these weird berry species that have popped up over the last few years would do wonders on the civilian market... too bad the higher ups are a bit skittish about it." Chimchain and Flux Before Lars could answer, Sleepy awoke once more and in a flash of white, they both found themselves standing in the middle of an aisle in a large convenience store. The place smelled like floor cleaner, the shelves lined with various bags of chips and other junk food typical to america, donuts, sodas, even Liquor, which the two noticed in the large glass fridge section behind them. There was one crucial question though; where the fuck were they now? "Holy shit..." A young clerk muttered as he looked up from his sweeping nearby at the flash. His eyes went wide at the Military uniforms and the sight of Sleepy in Lars' arms like a child. "Is that thing... what the hell is going on here?" he looked up from sleepy, glaring at them both. "where'd you two come from?"
  14. I think it's a great idea to be honest, don't see any real place the proposal could be improved, so... 10/10 would read again. Quick question though; since these would be one shotters and not require nearly as long as a traditional Closed RP would to both create and play out, I'm guessing that Interest check threads won't be very necessary for these? Hell, I might do a few of these in the future. Time to put Rajomaris and Reamica to a bit more use...
  15. Chimchain "You don't have to yell, ser," the Shop keep said as he finished up the order of the current customers before him, casting a wayward glance at Trystane as stood in the open door way. Shelf upon shelf ringed the walls of the store, parchment stacked atop the wooden surfaces in great bundles tied with silvery thread in impressive bows. meanwhile in the center of the area were several tables, each plastered with countless maps of different places and geographies, not just of Rajom, but of the lesser continents as well as the islands lying to the far north eastern hemisphere, and even the entire world of Rajomaris itself in some cases. Each and everyone was beautifully drafted, gold leaf lettering clearly depicting the names of places in intricate penmanship and the artwork and color something only a true master could produce. Overhead hung a chandelier filled with miss matched candles, casting quite a bit of light every where, more than sufficient enough to read by. "Wait, what he said..." mumbled a young woman standing across from the clerk at the counter, a white cloak swathing her shoulders, with a noticeable scarlet blotch staining one of them. The sight of her Platinum hair, tied back at the base of her neck with some thread of matching color, was enough for the Hunter to know exactly who she was before she even turned to face him... "So it's you," she said, her face unreadable as she looked him up and down with her cold eyes. "I've already taken care of the maps we might need," said a young man leaning against a table with a large map before his face. The torn, hooded robe colored like sweet creme that he wore coupled with the mess of black hair and spectacles gave him away as well. He lowered the map from his viewing, rolling it back closed in his hands, though he notably avoided eye contact with Trystane. "So you don't have to worry about it. Erick himself is taking care riding gear and storage among other things in the main commercial district... I don't know where the Dirosi woman or Gilwyn went though."
  16. Murdoc "Oh, um... of course, m'lord," The elderly man said as he turned his attention away from the gossip, surprised that the warrior had chosen him of all people to speak to. He lifted a gnarled finger and pointed down the street at a massive, circular building with an impressive looking Iron wrought sign hanging atop the arched Doorway, a small porch with carved stone columns and numerous chairs and a stair case splitting off in two directions from the entrance and leading down to the street below. The Roof was domed and tiled with sparkling shingles of subtle gold like it's lesser neighbors. "You'd want to go visit the Emporium then; you'll find a variety of Merchants and goods hailing from all over the continent within it's stalls. Usually they close up this late at night, but with the festivities... well, enough Coin can convince even the laziest business man to work a few extra hours. Doubtless that you'll find some supplies for a decent price."
  17. "Hmph, please," the Lanturn retorted. "All I do is catalog what gets found in dungeons and how much of it and take it down here to be stored in it's appropriate vault. It's not any less or any more work than I would find Quarter Mastering for any other Noble; Lady Mira of Seacrest is rich, powerful, so I'm constantly racking my mind thinking of how to manage all the surplus and wealth... Since I'm also the one she liked enough to bother making the Treasurer as well as the Quarter Master. If things were inverted though, I'd still have the same load of work, just different in that I'd be racking my mind about how the hell to fix the deficiency problem in the store houses and in the coffers." as he spoke, the group noticed they were beginning to pass large, metallic doors in the hall way, each of them locked with a highly complex combination system that likely had been wrought by none other than the minds of Alakazams. "It's a constant flow though, Seacrest is a port city, Money comith in, Money goith out, as they said in the old days. My job is streamlined in that sense, I always know what's going to happen to every cent that passes my desk. If there's anyone in this Castle who deserves a bit of pride for his work though, it's Fractal. It might not look it from the small size of the lone reading room you all have access to, but many times as much work as I do here goes into his running of the record keeping and information." They reached the end of the long corridor, Depth's light shinning upon a sturdy locking box of washed red oak and a golden lock. With a tap of his fin and a Thunder Bolt later, the padlock was lying open on the floor, the lid flying open. "Here," he said, reaching inside and tossing a starter Exploration kit at the human Otto. the next moment he slammed the chest shut and redid the lock, looking at Otto as he did so. "I don't much care about all this human nonsense, but just a word of advice; Before you go on your next mission, use that orb thing you were spouting on about and change back into a pokemon for Arceus sake... It won't be pretty at all if a human goes traipsing about in a mystery dungeon; bits and pieces of you will be torn apart and scattered everywhere before you can even get to the second floor...it would be quite a horrible way to go, in my opinion."
  18. Holy hell... I just now noticed this thread even existed. Yeah... a lot of realistic looking ones for me... cuase of Surge Story
  19. Updates will be out sometime tommorow. Also, I've edited in two new sections to the OP The Trophy room, which will showcase all the dead legendaries you all have killed so far and the current date at the bottom of the post, which will as the name suggest, list the current date of the events in the story's time
  20. "Uh huh..." Depth said, crossing his fins and raising an eyebrow. He turned back around and began heading off down the Corridor again. "Sounds like a bunch of Tauros shit in my opinion, but if lady mira thinks it's something worth looking into... doesn't matter, not my place to judge. I'm merely the quarter master around here..."
  21. "And by the way..." Depth said immediately after Otto had followed him inside, turning to do an about face on the human, eyes filled with suspicion. "It's not really my business since Lady Mira obviously knows whatever craziness is going on if she approved you, but...mind explaining why the hell you're a human? You're kind should've long since been gone from the world... so I don't see any way how any could've just popped up all of sudden."
  22. Seacrest "Oh, it's you two again..." Depth said as he dimmed his Anglers back to their usual intensity, effectively removing the glare from the trio's eyes. The Electric fish looked Otto up and down, assuming him to be the newbie that the other newbie was referring to. "I see... very well then, follow me. And don't touch anything, understood?" Without even waiting for a response, the angler pushed open the heavy doors to the Storage chambers and dissapeared inside, his orbs illuminating the way into the dark reaches of the place... SnapCracklePop It wasn't too long before the five travelers, two of which still out cold, reached town from their trek out to Brine Cave. The place had calmed down a bit since Torrent and Kage had left. The crowd out in the plaza had considerably thinned out to a tiny throng of Pokemon talking to each other about various subjects, seemingly over what had happened with the Psuedo Kecleons earlier, not that Alistair would know anything about the incident. "Welcome to seacrest, kiddo," He said rather blandly, still having some misgivings about how the dragon had so easily decided to throw away his time and energy working for those bubs over in the castle... "I suggest you get used to the city, because this is where you're going to be spending a lot of your time from here on out... between the castle and the mystery dungeons, that is." "Kage," a sagely voice called from the distance. Michael and Rodrick were both standing by the former sales stall of the Zoroark brothers, empty chests sitting scattered on the ground by their feet. The distribution of cash and goods had gone smoothly, it seemed. "Things went without any hiccups," the Gengar apprised them. "we even found another one while we were leaving to head back... he glanced over at Alistair, all the while shooting a telepathic message to Michael that the kid had been talked into joining seacrest. Michael shook his head in what seemed to be disappointment... though he said nothing. "Glad to hear it then," Rodrick said, "Not that brine cave would've been any issue for you with Kage at your side, kid. Anyways, here, take these." He opened his palm at face level with Torrent, revealing two seeds resting there. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what their function was, and Torrent plopped one into Bubble's and and Pixi's mouths without hesitation, the two coming too a few seconds later, looking around bewildered at how they'd gotten here... "I guess you won't be needing my help anymore," Kage said, dropping the two to the ground like sacks of flour. "Hey, thanks though, really appreciated it," Torrent said, nodding earnestly. "I would've gotten my butt royally handed to me over and over again if I had tried to solo the place to rescue them." "Torrent, what the hecks going on around here?" Bubble demanded as he picked himself up from where Kage had so unceremoniously dropped him. He cast a glance at Alistair, just now noticing the small dragon type for the first time. "And who's this? a new recruit or something?"
  23. Zero The Talker looked the soldier up and down for a few moments. He gauged that the extent of Zero's injuries could only be tested one way, given his suit obscured all signs of any trauma... Without a single word the ape brought up one of it's fists and slammed the powerful, furry knuckle directly into Zero's gut, hitting hard enough to be felt but no where near what would be required to kill. Surprisingly the blow went right through the Exo Suit, the whole system of his suit shutting down the moment his assailant had drawn close for the blow, leaving Zero to take the full brunt of the impact without buffer... The talker nodded it's head simply when it saw the Shock Trooper crumble to the ground, wind knocked out of his lungs and clutching his abdomen in agony as the feeling of fire spread in his rib cage, reminding him all to well of the fractures he'd been so kindly bestowed by that Alpha. Jack's field treatment of the injuries had been rather impressive, suppressing the pain as long as they did, but without a doubt, the drugs had worn out. "A Medical Officer will be with you shortly." The ape said in what sounded like a young woman's voice, turning away from the man as he groveled. The next minute, it had disappeared back into the same space Zero had seen it pushing the cart from earlier.
  24. Huh? oh, well... looking at it again, Hell, I guess it is... jack entering really doesn't add anything more to it that needs to be continued... and I intend to just summarize Kenshin's interaction's conclusion in the Chap 2 opening... so once Zero is dealt with done, I guess we're done
