  1. Ah Galen... that's.... all I can really say. what an interesting little family the Sistos are though, one must admit... (And FYI for future reference; Sisto is the name of Mareek's Mother's family, his father ended up just taking on hers when they got hitched...)
  2. Mareek and Ms.Sisto "So where should I start?" Mareek's mother asked as they turned away from the stand and started walking away, Both Erce and Mars following close behind, the latter being sure to keep a close eye on the boy and his mother even as he conversed several things with the Scyther, ready to slash anyone who started any trouble for them. "Not much has happened since you left home except for a few days ago when things turned around..." "Then let's start there," he said, hands shoved into his jacket pockets and Goggles resting around his neck with his Headphones. "What exactly did you mean by a 'very generous gift' earlier? Cash?" "Far more than just cash," she shook her head. "Mareek, someone transferred an entire bank account into my name; right now I don't recall how much was in it exactly, but it was a lot, far more than enough to pay off everything we owe to everyone and finally get out of debt with the bills." All Mareek did at that news was raise an eyebrow, caution and even an air of suspicion in his eyes as they kept walking, though Alexandra ignored it for now and continued on with the explanation. "And that's not all; whoever owned the account before hand must've had deep pockets; along with the cash in the account they also sent Tickets and a flyer for this along with a paid trip over from Kanto...And several stock shares in the market over in Unova; I'm almost certain that's where the cash has been coming from, whoever set it up wired the profits from the bonds to just pour into the account, and the paperwork says all of them, the account and all the stocks, were all bought years ago. "By the way you keep saying 'someone', I'm going to guess it was all done anonymously with no name or even an alias tied to it anyway..." "Exactly," His mother said, nodding. "The invoices and all the paperwork and notifications were delivered in the mail about two days ago; at first I thought I had slipped up, forgotten a due that somewhere, but once Mars and I actually sat down and went through them, the first thing I did was go down the Mart and file for resignation as Manager, effective immediately, then I went around and paid off everything; we owe nothing to noone now, completely in the clear. But I decided to hold off on getting rid of my other job until I think things over a little more, and it didn't feel right not telling you about any of this before I did anything else; lest you would come home one day and be in for a major shock about things..." "Galen was always interested in Finance Economics, you know..." Mareek said, somewhat dejectedly. " and as much as I don't want to admit it, he always seemed like he really knew whatever he was talking about whenever he talked to me about what I wanted to do when I grow up. And every time he visited, he seemed to have learned more and more about it from somewhere...I didn't know what the hell he was talking about most of those times, but the way he said it and explained things was just so confident and fluent...whatever he probably learned about cash flow working for Rocket and Giovanni over those three years, it definitely was obvious he had some honest inkling about what he was saying." He cast a wayward glance to his mom. "If there's anyone who can rig such a liquid system like what you're thinking the Account and Stocks might be..." his mother saw exactly where he was going with this. "You think he might have something to do with it then," she said, finishing his verbal train of thought for him. "I have to admit, I...never thought about any connection between his interest in money since he was small and what he might've learned after leaving home, and all this." "I mean, it's not any evidence that this is from him," Mareek said, backpedaling in his reasoning. "I'm just thinking, if anyone could... what I'm saying is it's just a possibility, I guess. We can't really know for sure if there's no trace..." He smirked a little, an ice cold gleam in his dark eyes. "But when I finally find him and take him down, I'll be sure to ask him if he decided to actually do decent for once in his life and was behind all this... and if he says yes I'll ask just how much of that money was made and how many of those stocks were bought from the suffering and Objectification of Pokemon..." "Moving away from that conversation now," Alexandra sighed, not really wanting to spend the first time she'd seen her son in a few months talking about finances. "We can talk more about the matter later on, for now though, let's talk about the tournament coming up. I hear you're one of the ones people are rooting for to win it all. "Oh, that...?" He asked scratching the back of his head. "Yeah, at least that's what I've heard too; There's a few others too though, another guy in the trainer program named Jacob," "Do you know him?" "Know him? I can give you one better, me and him have even go toe to toe once... but yeah, I know him, I guess." "What about the other favorite?" "Some guy in the breeder program named Kageharu. Apparently he's blind of something, though I didn't even know he existed till the rumors and anticipation about the tourney started flaring up recently." "What's the Jacob boy like; how skilled is he?" "He's Good...really good. But he's also a bit predictable, sometimes uses some practiced strategies and tactics of his without thinking about certain ways the other side might be able to counter or take complete advantage and turn it around on him in the moment. Like in our last battle, he had that Lapras of his use Water Pulse to take down Nemo after it had missed multiple times from him avoiding it, afterwards he used something I had been thinking the entire time he eventually would; he froze all the water that had been wasted on the field and turned it into an Ice Ring. The very next thing I did was toss out Java into the fray and ordered him to use his strongest Discharge on the field, melted the whole thing from the Thermal Convection and electrocuted his Lapras and took it down in a single shot." He notably left out all details about words that had been exchanged in the aftermath of that though, he was honestly over it, that and there was no reason to make his mom worry... "Java and i probably would've won the battle if his Charmander hadn't known Dragon Rage; The lapras managed to get an attack off against Java right before she went down. after that he used Incinerate and I just recalled Java and called it a match... it was honestly just a fluke how things ended." "So, one whose a bit predictable about how he'll fight and respond and set things up, and the other one you know nothing about, besides the fact that he's blind..." His mother sighed, not much intel to work with here... "Well, The Kageharu boy obviously has some way of knowing what's going on during Battle if he managed to place in the tourney at all. The most likely way is either hearing or smell, with a much stronger case for it being hearing since smell wouldn't be as efficient a sense in as many scenarios in a fight." "That makes sense, I guess..." Mareek said, shrugging his shoulders absently. Here his mom went again, back into tutor mode like the old days when he was being lectured by her on how to battle... before Silph Co. and everything... though he knew he should listen and pay attention, it had only been with her and Mars drilling him in lessons back then that he'd ever gotten as good as he was now. "I know it does, now listen up," she went on. "In battle, sometimes it's not enough to just fight by exploiting the weaknesses of the Pokemon on the field... sometimes you have to use the Pokemon's trainer's weakness as an advantage as well. Do you follow so far?" "Uh...yeah..." he said, a bit uncertain. "Though, no offense mom, but I think what you're talking about is a bit of a tactic like the ones that this academy was founded to stomp out..." "No, you just don't understand what I mean," she sighed, stopping their stroll and turning to look the boy in the eye, actually an inch or two taller than him. "I don't mean do it a malicious way, I mean if you're opponent has something about them that can easily be used to help you and your team get the upper hand, and if it's something that's ETHICAL to do so, then go for it. I'm not talking about using Night Shade right in the face of someone with a heart condition, dear son, I'm talking about situations like with this Kage boy; He can't use his sight, so obviously he must rely on sound and touch and smell to gather information about the world around him, that information which his eyes should be providing him but aren't, and of those three probably primarily sound when it comes to duking it out on the battle field... now say you and he are in a battle and he manages to get Erce into a tight corner with a loss for you right around the corner, you can recover the fight and turn things around, but all you need is to by a little time. How do you do it?" "Simple," Mareek said, catching on immediately. "I have her use our Ninjutsu tactic and order her and her copies to make as much racket as possible, the sound will reverberate everywhere and the guy probably will be a bit disoriented for a minute or two, and I can use that time to set up and launch a complete counter offensive." "Very good," His mother chimed, smiling warmly at him before continuing their former pace. "But then again, what should I expect but that, given your grades?" The two and their respective partners continued their catching up and talk about the competition as they walked by the Haunted house and around the grounds, catching the attention of a certain Hispanic looking man in a long coat as they passed by, lost in chat... Galen "Well look at that..." Galen thought to himself, taking his attention off Evan for a few seconds and smirking sentimentally at the sight of his little brother and Mother catching up. "Looks like everything worked out just I had hoped... Merry Christmas to the both of ya, Mareek, Mom... the way I'm going, at least I'll have done one genuinely good thing in my life to make up for what happened at Silph Co." He turned back to Evan, allowing his gaze to linger a bit longer though. "It's strange though; all that cash I had made over the years up in Unova and the black market while I was trolling those Team Plasma Fucktards... I could've had it made... no. That's a lie, and I know it. No amount of cash or clever investing would be enough to dig me out of the hole The Surge dug me when he went and fired that damn Discharge attack without me telling him to... But just because it couldn't help me out of my hole, doesn't mean that it couldn't help you... and it was kinda fun, playing the Stocks like it was a game or something, always thinking ahead, anticipating where to put some cheder in next, where to pull it out off and inject into others that could make bigger returns... It was like Chess, one massive, incredibly complex and exhilarating game of chess, with all my pieces having been given to me by what I learned from Giovanni and from Rocket's finance managing over the years... heck, I was actually kinda sad when it was time to get the hell out of there and I had to hire a Stockbroker using a false identity to manage them for me. But he did well enough to keep my system with the account going, they both should be fine from now on. Enough about the past now though... time to get back to he mission..." "No nino," Galen said in his false accent. "Pero es no importante ahora; you needn't know my name, but only that I'm one of the... certain someones you were told about in the forest. You know what I am talking about, I am sure... that skarmory says it all." Nemo and Java Java looked at the newest customer as he came up and requested a Suicune. He sprang into action like he had rehearsed this a thousand times; using psybeam to reach beneath the counter and snatch a Suicune Sculpture as the fellow got his money out, levitating it up onto the counter and right to Lana. The thing was Varnished just like all the other sculptures that were premade were; The Suicune in a regal stance, it's head and necked arched to look off at something in the distance, mouth open as if giving a cry to show it's magnificent authority over all fresh waters, it's mane and ribbon like whiskers flowing as if caught in the north wind... And the entire circular wooden stand it was on was carved in a rippled fashion, as if the legendary dog stood on a lake's surface...
  3. "What?" Boho said. "Oh, yeah, the whole talk with the giant spider and Stratos here turning into an old man and all that jazz? yeah, I know... I just don't like What's his face over there; Lucien or whatever he's called." "Well, it wouldn't be the first time I had issues with a Magistrate..." Lucien said, a bit of anger in his voice as he looked up at the man bashing him on the rooftop. "Calm down, I'm no threat to any of you anymore. If I try anything, I lose my only shot at redemption. Or at least that's what the spider told me as he turned back into nothing but a helpless, sniveling brat and dangled me over a bridge by my ankles..." "Oh yeah," Boho said, unable to help but chuckle a litle at the memory. "I liked that, what Anansi did to put ya in your place like the dog you are. The moment I saw him scare you straight the hard way, He became alright in my books." "This is all stemming from the incident at the gate, isn't it?" The Gunslinger demanded, his hand idling towards his weapon, though Leonidas stopped him with a whirl of his lance, bringing the thing around to the boy's throat, the point hovering just a centimeter or two above the skin, "Watch yourself," he warned in his gravelly, aged voice. "You're not special or even critical to this fight, boy. If you're going to start strife and go drawing arms on friends, then I'll have no reservations about doing the same as I kill you and feed what's left to the dragons before I kill them too, understand?" he lowered his weapon without even waiting for the response, again resting it across his shoulders as Lucien slowly lowered his hand back to his side. "To answer your question, pretty boy," Boho called down, arms crossed as he watched The Hero put the mut back in his rightful place. "Yes, indeedy, it does stem from that. And from when you damn near blew off Darius's head on the bridge too. You seem a bit trigger happy, maybe someday I'll break all your fingers... see how well you can go firing upon good folks when your digits are ground to powder." "Enough, Boho." Leonidas warned simply, glaring at him. "Alright, alright, Strat," he said, grinning mischievously at the Dragoneer. "I was just kidding... maybe... alright, that's a lie, I fully intend to do it if he causes issues again... anyways" he turned his attention to Darius and the others. "So just let me make sure I have the gist of the breifing Anansi gave you all: the world is more or less steadily approaching the end and the only way to avoid it is to go around and find some old friends of Leon here, after which we have no idea what we're supposed to do, and we also have no idea what exactly we're going up against in the future or where any of the heroes are slumbering except my fellow Brother in white over there?" He nodded over towards Deric as he finished.
  4. So, seems the rumors I've been hearing were true after all...Maya thought to herself as she made her towards the back of the room after the introduction finished, the hood of her white long coat pulled over her head and concealing her face as she made sure to take note of every single person she passed, memorizing their faces and what they looked like, her sharp eyes never lingering for more than a few seconds, as to not give away she'd been looking at all. There really is a resistance force that's underway. I wonder if Freyl has any idea, where ever he is... Her shoulders and upper body were clad in the White and red cloak of her Order, her Bow tucked under the leather strap of her quiver on her back, made of a combination of rough hide and leather, the arrows tipped with scarlet red feathers, so deep in their hue one had to wonder if they had been freshly dipped in blood. She could feel her cudgel tapping against the side of her thigh through her coat as she walked, a carved length of wood with a rather slender handle and a gnarled head bound with a single steel ring beneath it's apex, seemingly just a random club with nothing special about it. She took a seat near the back wall before long, saying nothing to those sitting nearby as she waited for the briefing to begin.
  5. "It turned me into a ghost of all things... You know how hard it is to kick ass and take names when you're foot phases right through said ass and your hands can't pick up the quill and parchment in order to write down the names?"

  6. "Who else but me, bucko?" Boho's soul called from atop the building. "Did you all really think some fast assed, little robe wearing, pansy kid would be enough to off me for good? Heck no, I turned myself into light shards using an old Magistrate's trick right before that little fucker could take me down and I've been following you guys ever since...." he cast a look over at Deric and his glowing blade of white. "Now... Brother in white, if you would be so kind as to turn off whatever mumbo jumbo you're doing with your sword there... I'm pretty certain it's interfering with my technique here; it turned me into a ghost of all things... You know how hard it is to kick ass and take names when you're foot phases right through said ass and your hands can't pick up the quill and parchment in order to write down the names?" "I would if I knew how," Deric answered, glancing at the weapon. "unfortunately though it seems as though whatever abilities I've suddenly uncovered in myself have a mind of their ow-" he was quite rudely interrupted by Leon's spear coming around in a haphazard arc through the air, swung like a pickaxe in some hazy mine deep below the earth as it's head collided with the metal of the Blade's face and as if by magic sent the object flying out of Deric's hand and Sinking right into the melted cobbled stones and glass behind him. The hazy glow gradually faded as it rested lodged within the street, the blue gleam adorning Boho dying right along with it. "Problem solved," Leonidas said, resting the Blood Red sphere across his shoulders and draping his hands over it's shaft, as if carrying a water-bearing pole, his attention drifting back towards Boho the magnificent. "So that was all just nothing more than you fleeing then, when you came into contact with that light storm Marcelos was using on me?" "Hey! No sir, Bohomus Boreamus does NOT flee!" Boho said, holding up a finger in the air as he corrected the man. "I just make Tactical Retreats in a very urgent and effective manner!" "Yes yes, whatever..." Leon said. "Well, you're here now, so-" "And Strat," Boho interrupted, glaring at Lucien from behind his dark shades. "What the hell is pretty boy over there doing not tied up and beaten? What, has he come down with stockholm syndrome or something? Or did you all just whip him so badly that he begged to help you in exchange for you not killing him?"
  7. *Points to the Antidotal Mountain herb called Bloodroot from PSS which cleanses the blood stream of toxins when the Crimson Roots are ingested* well...guess I wasn't the first person to come up with the name... XD
  8. ((Hukuna, I'm just gonna assume that Sinbad came down along with the others in order to keep him current in the story)) The lights began to dim and quiver as the group gathered down on the street, retreating from the pull of Deric's unseeable light that he carried in his heart and blade, fear and awe racking their essences as they turned (Which was rather hard to notice they even did, given they were spherical in nature...and had no faces to distinguish different sides with) and gazed up at a ruined roof top overlooking the broad avenue of melted Cobble and Glass, all of them suddenly flooding back towards the magistrate and huddling around him for safety as they glimpsed a sight that was...truly something to say the least. Though as to what it was, none of the men or Absalom could see it. "Arthur," Leon said, casting a glance to Deric expectantly as the Ex-Lawman steadily edged backwards from the spheres of hazy blue light, an uneasy look on his face... but it wasn't from the ghostly orbs. For Deric was staring up at the exact same roof top the lost souls were, his sword beginning to glow in an unearthly light, cloaked in hazy silver fog that gleamed a brightest white. All he could do was look down at the thing with confusion as he began to feel presences, presences all around. Everywhere, in the buildings, on the streets... all over the ruined city, he could feel every single one as if they were lines attached to his mind like some Ethereal Spider Web all centered at a single point. Voices, Thoughts, Fears, Anger, Shock... he could feel it all from the strands connecting he and them. So much Anguish in this place, something truly awful had to have occurred... And he knew it had, for he had watched this city burn in a pillar of hell fire just hours ago. But what were these presences he felt now? Leon called them souls, but... why is it that Deric was able to sense them when seemingly none of the others could? and what about this strange glow cloaking Lucretia's Sword now? What...what was going on? "Arthur!!" Leonidas repeated, shouting this time. It took a few moments more for the man to break from his pondering, looking back from the roof to the old man inhabiting a young body. "Good," He said, smirking as he saw the glow of the Muinnat Blade he held. "You're power has reawakened from being around a place so heavily stained with the shock of sudden death... that will make getting your memories back far easier if we'll have the Spectral Lord on our side against the wyrms." "I don't know what you're talking about, you loon," Deric said, eyes glued to the roof still. "But look there, you see that glow, the one like the northern star? I can sense these... these things somehow.... and this one seems to have a presence that far overpowers all of them by hundreds of leaps and bounds... there's almost no comparison, they're mere specks of dust next to it." It was not long after that the group could see what he was speaking about. For on the same rooftop he was gazing they too now spotted a powerful blue light the same color of that of the souls below, so fierce and noble that it threatened to blind them with it's divine majesty. The winds picked up in a storm, howling and barking at the men like savage dogs of war as the light gradually began to take shape, beginning to resemble a human... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vb_bxvR_Kms Before long it's corporal form was fully completed, and standing there atop the roof of the building, bathed in an ethereal blue glow that could rival the sun for intensity, Cloak billowing and Rippling in the wild winds of the dessert, Shades gazing down at them, looking quite regal in his pose... was none other than Boho himself.
  9. Ah... the image in the OP of the IC is kinda broken for me. Can someone just describe it (Don't know if it's something vital or not)
  10. "Why, that sounds like an excellent idea," Alexandra agreed as she accepted the hot chocolate from Danielle, looking to mareek as Mars declined his beverage, instead giving it off to Nemo, who was more than happy to take care of it for the steel type. "But I think it would be better if we walked and talked rather than sit. There's alot to discuss and I'm rather curious to take a look around." "We can walk, sure," Mareek said. "I'll just have Erce take care of the orders while we're-" He was interrupted but a sharply authoritative grunt from Mars, the shiny Bisharp shaking it's head as he pointed his arm at Erce, his steel mits flexing him as if to gesture that the Scyther must come as well. There was no way he was going to let her stay behind; The two of them had even more catching up to do than the boy or his mother. Erce didn't have to be told twice, obviously fully understanding what the dark type was demanding as she walked from behind the stand and joined at Mareek's side without delay. He would've said something, but it seemed like she genuinely did want to take along, what with her and Mars being all buddy-buddy... guess it couldn't be helped. Besides, Java and Nemo could run things just fine with Lana's help. "You don't mind watching the stand for a while, do you?" He asked the girl, turning away from Erce and the Bisharp as they got busy chatting away, none of it understandable to human ears. "Java and Nemo can lend a hand and help out, all you'd have to do is talk to the customers and they'll take care of the rest. You already know the prices I set up and everything..."
  11. The Return of Boho, coming... now. Sort of...you'll just have to wait and see.

  12. Hmm... thinking bout using these for battle themes for Mareek... Now... to figure out which would best suit him...
  13. Oh, and by the way, I intended for Mayanna to fill the role of the DHS for which ever party she gets paired in when I made her.... and her twin brother too, should I have to fall back to him through some unfortunate fiasco. There's a reason why White Fire is so powerful in terms of healing capabilities, folks... The offensive outlets and the Bow skills were both just something the Order hastily tacked on long after they developed it because they kept getting their asses kicked because they were healers, not fighters....a tack-on which worked out incredibly well for correcting their issue...
  14. I have the sneaking feeling... that you're going to go and put us all into the Same party now just for that very reason... XD
  15. "What are you talking about?" Mareek asked danielle, raising an eyebrow "My mom is the only family I have left, and there's no way she would be able to get time off of work in order to co..." he trailed off immediately once he saw the one person he had least expected to see around here; non other than his mother, and she was heading right for the stand, a smile on her face. And right there behind her was old Mars; He'd recognize that shiny Bisharp anywhere... especially when the thing had that classic, 'prepared to strike at a moment's notice, Protective as hell' look on it's face that he'd seen so often as a kid. Nemo glanced up from the hot chocolate as the boy stood there frozen in pure surprise, trying to process what was going on as Ms.Sisto and her oldest companion finally reached the stand. Nemo had to nudge his arm in order to bring him back from spacing out, going back to drinking his commandeered beverage as he tapped Mareek with his club idely, looking at the woman all the while. "M-mom..." he began, coming back to focus after Nemo's interruption. "Y-you're here... but...how? I thought..." "It's a long story, Mareek," Ms.Sisto said, seeing her son obviously struggling to comprehend how it was that she could possibly be here right now given the state their finances were in when he had left for the academy. "The short version of it though is that Someone was so kind as to give us a very generous early christmas gift, I have no idea who, but... Anyway, it's not important; what is is that I'm here now. And look at you, from what I hear you're among the top students in the whole first year class, both in battle and when it comes to hitting the books. Looks like things are going quite well, you've even gotten two new Partners, I see..." Nemo looked back and forth between his trainer and his mother, actually seeing the rather obvious resemblance now and feeling a bit dumb for having not realize they were related before. He put down his second cup, having drained it to nothing, giving a wave of his club to Ms.Sisto and her...rather intimidating looking escort. "Um yeah..." Mareek said, deciding to put off the matter of getting an explanation for later as Erce and Java both came from the Work Area, The Latter using Psybeam to place the finished commissioned piece on the counter before the man who had ordered it, both of them staring at the red haired woman, though Erce's gaze held quite a bit of pleasant recognition in it. "Mom, this Nemo," he gestured to the friendly Cubone as it waved in greeting. "I helped him out of a bind during a school trip a few weeks ago, he pretty much wanted to stay with me from there, and I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry, so I just took him with me..." "Why hello there. little Nemo," his mother chided warmly, smiling at the orphan despite all the while thinking about how ironically fitting it was that her son had made friends with a Cubone, of all the species in the world. Still, the ground type looked quite happy on Mareek's team, so maybe it was better than it seemed, maybe she was just being overly pensive.... "And this is Java," Mareek continued, nodding to the Porygon floating beside him. "Got him on the second day I was here. He kinda... well he kinda just jumped out of his ball when I passed by, said he wanted to come along with me and Erce, kinda like Nemo." The Co Strategist simply stared at the woman blankly as if drifting off into space. "He helps me out with thinking up new tactics in battle, along with a few other things... he's not very expressive though." She only nodded at that, seeing exactly what the boy meant. Just a few seconds of looking back into Java's eyes was enough to make her recall something from earlier though. "So, I guess this is why Dr.Saito wanted me to give you this then?" She said as Mars reached into the suit case and pulled out a Disc in a protective cover with the Silph Co. Label emblazoned upon it's front. Now, that was enough to wipe the look of Java's face, the Porygon now staring intently at the software with what seemed to be an instinctive gleam in his eyes, edging forward eagerly. Mareek had to take it before the thing tried something. "Thank you," he said hesitantly, examining the thing and figuring out exactly what it was. "Dr.Saito though...?" "I ran into him in town; his ferry back home from Silph Co. was preparing to depart for Kanto just as mine was unboarding. He said he was sorry that he wasn't able to come by in person and pay you a last visit before he left, apparently something urgent came up that the company needed him for, had to cut his survey work short and pack everything up." She couldn't help but laugh a little as Java cast a somewhat annoyed glare at the boy, PO'd that the kid would keep the Evo Item away from him like this when it was clearly meant to be used... "Looks like Java here really like the gift. And I actually have one for you that I got myself along the way; something very special..." She looked specifically at Erce as she said it, grinning in an almost mischievous manner that the Scyther herself commonly did. "But I think I'm going to hold onto it just a bit longer... I want to see how you and Erce fight and how well you pair now before I just go handing it over." "Well then," Mareek said, smirking confidently as he stowed the Up Grade in his jacket. "I don't think you'll be disappointed in the least bit then. Me and Erce have only become an even stronger team and even closer friends since we've gotten here... not that I think that the second could honestly be possible given all we've already been through." The Mantis smirked sheepishly at that remark, only because honestly she felt it was true; They were a team, the two of them, no doubt about it. "Confident as ever, I see, good," Ms.Sisto remarked turning to Lana and Danielle now. "Mareek, are these two lovely young ladies your friends? My, how far you've come out of your shell here..." He couldn't help but feel his face redden a little at that question... "um...y-yeah, This is Lana, she's in the... Breeder Program," he said, sputtering a little as he gestured to the girl in the green Furisode, before doing the same in Danielle's direction "And over there is Danielle, she's a coordinator..." "Well hello to the both of you then," Ms.Sisto Chimed, turning her attention to the girls before glancing back at Mareek. "I hope my son here is being a perfect gentleman..." Her voice trailed off with a bit of warning, though whether it was completely serious or somewhat teasing was a bit hard to tell...
  16. Mareek "I guess she's probably right..." Mareek sighed to Danielle, letting the bit of anger at Raiza fade from his gaze, nudging his cup over to Nemo, who graciously began drinking his Trainer's Hot chocolate without having to be told twice as the boy returned his attention to man who'd just made the latest commision. "Anyway, that would be no problem, sir, the flat price for a commissioned piece is 15 dollars, with extra depending on the size and complexity," He wrote down the request on the small notepad and handed it off to java, who snatched it up with a psybeam and flew back over to Erce at the Work station, The Scyther going to work immediately after reading the slip. "It'll just be a few minutes until it's ready, but please, feel free to browse around while you wait though." Galen "Evan Reeves?" Augustine asked as he finally found his contact attending a haunted house attraction, making sure to maintain his accent. "Forgive me if I'm mistaking you for another, but you are him, no?" he pointed his finger up at the metal chicken screeching and acting murderous atop the attraction, which surprisingly seemed to help business. "For the Skarmory up there is yours, correct? The one screeching that war cry like there's no tomorrow..." Ms.Sisto it had taken some asking around of various students, bit eventually she had found some First Years who knew precisely who she was asking for, as they should, given that Mareek had wiped the floor with some of them more than a few times in the past and they all saw him as a Rival of sorts to defeat someday, both on the battle field and in the Class Room. They had pointed her and Mars over in the direction of Mareek's Stand, actually giving a few compliments on his and Erce's work as they showed off a few pieces they'd bought. "Well, that's my Mareek," she said to herself warmly as she headed off towards the place, Mars staying close in her wake. "Always ending up getting recognition without making a conscious effort to... Just like his brother, though thank Arceus that I obviously didn't make whatever mistake I did with Galen again with him; Still don't know where I went wrong raising that boy..." All Mars did was nod in general agreement, spotting the boy before long as he dealt with a customer and handed a slip of paper to a Porygon... hmmm, looked as though Erce was no longer his only Partner then. Actually, where was that giant Mantis? it had been a good while since Mars had last seen her....

  18. ((Mareek's hair is actually red)) Damn it... Mareek thought to himself as the sudden collision rocked the table and knocked over a crap ton of his wares, looking down at Raiza as she scrambled to collect what had fallen. just like that water type guy, Collin, how the hell can you be so clumsy as to run into a stationary object? "Java, clean up at the front..." he sighed, glancing back at the work station. The Porygon shot forward an instant later, using psybeam to collect the statues from Raiza and Rogue's hands in a single fell swoop and placing them all back upon the counter exactly as they were before, luckily Erce's craftsmanship was so finely constructed that not a single one had broken at all. Though he was a bit miffed at Lana's friend for not watching where the hell she was going, he had customers watching him; it wouldn't do to go saying something out of annoyance... might as well turn this around to serve the business. "You see that, folks," he said in his best joking voice (which was more from sarcasm than actual Joviality), though the annoyance he felt was clear as day in his eyes as he gestured to Raiza and Rogue. "Our sculptures and wares are so fine that people literally come running for them! Though most of the time they stop before they crash into things...but look, that's quality durability, isn't it? Not a single thing broken from that little accident just now."
  19. Ya know, I'm done at this point. For those four or so who have yet to respond IC and have said nothing on here about what's going on, I'm just gonna have to say screw it; At this point I'm just going to assume their PCs went off and did something in the camp off screen; it's been damn near almost two weeks or so that we've been in the Camp scenes and if they haven't responded or done something in two weeks, tough luck for em, because I'm just gonna go on and follow up for those players who are actually being active right now and stop bitching and moaning about those who aren't. Like I said multiple times, I'm stricter about this one than the other two I run, and my patience isn't as long as it is with PSS or Surge Story. At this point the Command tent is now empty, I don't care where you went if your PC was still in there, but you're out of there. you can make a catch up post later on saying where you went and explaining what you did if you want, but I'm trucking on.
  20. "But of course, mam," Mareek said, thankful that this little awkward moment at the stand was finally interrupted as he moved to retrieve the effigy in question from the shelves hidden beneath the countertop. "I've several carvings of all the legendaries from every region, here you are," he placed the work atop the stand's table in a showman like manner, offering it for the woman to inspect. The thing was even better done than the Mew sculpture he had sold to James earlier, the Kyogre posed with it's body arced, face raised to the heavens, flippers out to the side in a stabilizing position, it's face bearing a look between shock, fear, and pure awe as it gazed at some unseen majesty... it should've been a pose someone from Hoenn would likely recognize well, for it was the pose and facial expression Mareek imagined that the legendary would held when it halted it's duel with Groudon to witness Rayquaza descending from the skies in an utter fury at both of them after Team Magma and Aqua had awakened them from their slumbers. "The price is 12 dollars for a legendary, we accept either cash or BP." Meanwhile, Nemo keep his gaze fixed on Lana, sitting in front of her on the counter top. He seemed as though he was a bit worried about their would be opponent come tommorow. He'd heard more than enough rumors over the course of training with Mareek about who would stand the best chances in the Cup, and well... it was no secret that Lana was pegged to be among the weakest. But she did make it into the top 32 to even qualify, didn't she? so that meant she couldn't have been that weak... still, against Mareek, whose mind had a habit of churning ten miles a minute in a fight, thinking and calculating and constantly observing for his next strike...? Nemo was honestly unsure how things between his trainer and his girlfriend might over once the match started and the orders started flying. despite that though, from what he'd seen of Mareek's style, the guy wasn't one to rub wins into people's faces, ever. Heck, Nemo had even sometimes seen him actually give constructive tips and try to help the other side see where they could improve... so maybe this wouldn't end in total disaster...
  21. Eh, well, we had similar ideas, so I just had to make sure to go the extra mile with mine to make some very easy differentiations between the two. XD No problem about taking the idea man, not like you heard me talking about it beforehand and decided you were gonna snatch it, we just happen to both come up with the same basic concept is all. EDIT: I added something regarding White Fire granting some fire and heat resistance since I thought it would make sense. let me know if it seems OP
  22. Actually those were all from unnamed patrons, all of which came to pick them up already by the time the announcement was made, but if he wants to place a commision, go right ahead, Erce can have it done in as little as two minutes flat or so depending on how complex it is. And on a side note, you guys can feel free to notice Mareek's mom walking around and talk to her and I'll respond.
