Thought I said it before, it was MANSLAUGHTER technically speaking, not murder, he didn't go in there intending to kill the guy... though he might have deserved it if Galen had gone in with that on his mind. and Galen didn't even order the attack that killed his father... The Surge acted on it's own... but more on that will be explored later. He's actually a good man who just made shitty decisions one after another due to circumstance... but again, later...

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Sutoratosu replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
MAREEK Mareek and his entire team sat silent after the match ups had been announced, not a bit of work getting down at the stand at all, though thankfully all the commissioned pieces had already been picked up and there wasn't anyone currently browsing. Erce cast an uncertain glance to Java, who returned it with an equally apprehensive one. Nemo meanwhile looked back and forth between Mareek and Lana from where he was perched on the counter top, not really sure what to expect. All Mareek himself did was lean forward on the counter, eyes straight ahead, staring off into space as if trying to replay what had just happened in his mind, only to find that no matter how much he did, it couldn't be changed... "Well, I'd be a liar if I said I was expected that..." He said, glancing at Lana. "But looks like the Di has been cast... we're gonna be facing off against each other tomorrow." He stood up, giving the girl a warm smile, and it wasn't one out of pity. "I'm sure you'll do fine out there. Both of us will, right?" Erce and Java meanwhile were still too busy absorbing the match up announcements to notice Zared come along to collect Corona from the Scyther's watch. GALEN Galen whistled as he looked up at the last few moments of the announcement projection, standing just within the Academy gates after having left his pre set up apartment of sorts. His belt and capsules hidden beneath the winter long coat he wore as part of his disguise; With Teach and RoG having set pretty much everything up for him infiltrating had taken no effort at all, and here he stood, Hair dyed a midnight black and a false yet highly convincing mustache and goatee combo on his face, his hair slicked back with gel and his normally light blue eyes tinted chocolate brown by his colored contacts, a padded long coat draped over his shoulders and a blue work shirt underneath coupled with a pair of Black Cargo Paints. He'd even gone so far as to... rough up his face a little. nothing permanent, but just enough to where a few old marks would still be visible, enough to where he felt his little brother would be thrown off for long enough from recognizing him through the facade. Agustine Caveza, he was known as now, A gardener hailing from a land west of Kalos who was so proficient in his job that it was almost stereotypical...almost. "Looks like things are going to get interesting tomorrow," he chided to himself in a Gravelly spanish accent as he walked further onto the campus. "And speaking of which...she should be here right around now if she accepted the tickets..." As he strolled towards the stands he pulled out a small burner flip phone, punching in a number on the speed dial and contacting the Travel Agency he had been talking with just two days ago, a nasally man's voice answering on the other end with a generic greeting said in a tone that made you think he was just about ten minutes away from falling asleep on the job. "Yes, this is Senor Caveza," Galen said into the receiver, stopping and looking around at the various stands and attractions that had been set up by students and outside vendors alike. "I am calling to check on the tickets and trip I booked for a Miss Alexandra Sisto, in kanto..." "One moment, sir..." The bored worker answered, the sound of clacking echoing through to Galen's end as he looked through the company's records trying to process the request. "One Miss Alexandra Sisto, yes sir, she embarked on the trip the day after the tickets were delivered. It seems there were no delays and according to the travel charts, her ferry arrived in Ymora not long ago today." "You sent her the flyer I gave you as well, correct? And the stock account transfer?" "Yes sir, the flyer was sent along with the tickets and cash...and the invoices and notifications for the bonds and stocks along with them." "And you made sure to leave the sender as simply anonymous, yes?" "Absolutely sir. we respect the wishes of our clients at this agency." "Bueno, bueno mi amigo," Galen said, preparing to end the call. "then perhaps I will seek out your services again in the future. Adios." "Have a nice day sir." A simple click was heard as he shut the burner and put it back in his pants pocket, making sure to start walking again, casting a few glances back at the Gates every now and again as he pretended to browse various stands, trying to find his contact so that he could get things started around here. "Well, they didn't lie, looks like the ferry did arrive on time..." he chided to himself in his normal voice as he caught the glimpse he'd been expecting; A red haired woman in her early fifties or late forties arriving through the gates, wearing a simplistic white working blouse and a long black skirt that came down to just below the knees, a pair of red rimmed spectacles sitting on her nose, her cold blue eyes reminiscent of Mareek's and Galen's both, though no one would be able to even tell where they to look at the latter right now. Her sons resembled her as well, sharing several similar facial features. Her age didn't quite show on her, her face still looking a bit youthful despite her years and all the stress she had none over the last few. A Black and Blue (Shiny) bisharp followed closely behind her with a protective look in his eyes, carrying the woman's suitcase in one hand, with the other ever at the ready for trouble... just as Galen remembered the ol sentinel from all those years ago before he'd been booted out of the house by that bastard he had called a father. A slight chuckle was all that came from him as he turned his attention away from his Mother after having not seen her over all these years, walking off into the crowd to continue his search for this 'Evan Reeves' boy. MS.SISTO "Do you see him anywhere?" Alexandra asked her ever faithful companion as she looked around at the festivities and the countless stalls everywhere, The Bisharp merely shaking his head in response. "Well, guess it can't be helped with so many people out and about. Maybe someone will be able to point us in the right direction? Come, Mars..." She began to walk off towards the vendors as she spoke, leaving the Bisharp, named Mars apparently, to catch up if he wanted to do his job and guard his trainer, as he had always felt the need to do since they had met... ah were those the days... "It's quite the pleasant surprise someone was kind enough to send the tickets and that flyer, wasn't it?" She asked as they strolled through the fair, making small talk as she scanned the various stands looking for her youngest, and as far as she was concerned, her only son. "Not to mention those Stocks and that anonymous bank account in the market back home in Unova. Made me a bit reminiscent about everything from back then... well, some parts of it, there were definitely some i'd rather just forget completely... you know what I mean..." The Bisharp merely nodded. He had to admit though, he'd like to shake the hand of whomever the fine individual who had sent the gift was; It was a complete Arceus-send, no doubt about it. With just one letter his oldest and most dearest friend's financial situation had completely 180d over night. Alexandra had gone from having to work two jobs just to keep up with things to being able to drop one and even start thinking about getting rid of the other one too in order to start pursuing what she really wanted to do with her life in terms of a career. Of course, it had only been two days ago the letters had arrived, only two days since she'd become the owner of the bonds and the controller of the account, which was, to say the least, quite well funded by whomever had opened it. She still needed to sit down and properly process things, think about her options, but she had pounced at the chance to come visit mareek here. She had no idea the majority of the cash and stocks she'd been gifted into her account was from Galen's black market dealings years ago and very little from actual work, but what the woman didn't know wouldn't kill her... and besides. Galen was about seven years behind in terms of giving her christmas and Birthday gifts. The man had figured this would more than make up for that. ((Ms. Sisto is currently walking around looking for Mareek, Galen is nowhere to be seen as he's disappeared into the crowd feeling good about himself. If you want to notice her walking around and talk and point her in the right direction, feel free to do so. Mareek resembles her strongly enough to where it's obvious he's her child.))- 1255 replies

[Sign-Ups] Gaelach Basm: The starting point
Sutoratosu replied to Kurotsune's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Name: Mayanna Colbez Gender: Female Age: 24 Physical Appearance: Mayanna is 5"6, possessing a lean and slender build and fair skin with hair blacker than night. A heavy band of freckles running across the bridge of her nose and somewhat onto her cheeks in a haphazard manner as if they were repeatedly splattered randomly there by some drunken painter. Her eyes are a deep Cobalt Blue in color with small flares of golden green around the pupils, with a rather piercing gaze that seems to linger behind even long after she has left the area. Her locks are cut in a short and rather hastily looking style, the hair disorderly towards the back as if suddenly cut, seemingly to as not hinder her in a fight or obscure her vision, though it should be noted that two short bangs frame her face. On her left hand is the mark of the Priestly Order she serves, A tattooed image of a white phoenix in flight, wings outstretched wide and a star held in either of it's taloned feet. Her nose is straight, roman, one could call it, and the shape of her eyes are quite reminiscent to almonds. Her body is well toned. Backstory: Born in a village known as Whytlock, Mayanna and her twin brother Freyl were orphaned after their parents both succumbed to malady. They took their survival into their own hands the best they could manage, stealing what they needed to keep going, though the two eventually ended up having no choice but to wander from town to town in search of food and shelter. It was during this pitiful point of their existences that they attempted to steal from a man bearing robs of white embroidered with crosses of Crimson, and failed miserably, being caught before they could even check the fellow's pockets. Rather than beating them both senseless though, as so many likely would've after having found them in the midst of pickpocketing them, the man instead gave his meal to the two, introducing himself as something neither of them were familiar with; A priest. A priest of the White Fire, he proclaimed himself to be, a member of a religious order dedicated to a harbinger of light; The White Phoenix. And the strangeness, or rather the good fortune, they knew that day did not cease there, for the priest saw their squalor and mediocrity, but yet through it also their raw cleverness and will to live, and so generously insisted that both of them come with him back to his order, promising food and shelter... and the chance to become something so much more than they ever would on the streets. Needless to say they didn't even have to think before answering with a resounding yes. Years and years passed by after that fateful day, and Mayanna and Freyl were taken in by the Order of the White Flare, as their priestly friend had promised, and raised and trained by them in the their signature special Fire magic; The Phoenix Arts (Magic which used white fire for major healing purposes, but also had some battle applications) as well as being taught in their signature weapon, the bow and arrow, alongside training in their doctrines and mythology. The two proved to be naturals at it through hard work and diligence(Mostly out of fear of being kicked back out onto the streets if they didn't do well and impress their benefactors), becoming highly proficient both in their bow skills and in their magic, soon becoming known as being among the most talented pupils that had ever been raised by White Flare. They eventually came to be of age and were fully initiated into the Order, becoming full fledged priests of the White Phoenix, Ryder, as it was known as. Character Abilities: Priest of Ryder: Able to use a magic energy known as "white fire" either in conjunction with or separate from Bow skills. Agile and Proficient with both Magic and Marksmanship. "White Fire" is a magic discipline mainly focusing on healing with a few techniques that have been developed by the order over the centuries for self defense applications and mundane tasks, such as cloaking an Arrow in the energy in order to cause damage and burn targets or start fires (Think of like the first time Eragon used the spell "Brisingr" in the movie of his namesake. that basically sums it up when it's used in conjunction with a bow and arrow.) or the inverse of this and using the fire to heal anyone the arrow strikes, though if used with a bow, while the range is greatly increased, the power of the magic is somewhat diluted the farther and farther away the target is, as more and more energy is lost during the arrows flight. when used independently of a bow though, the range of the magic is far shorter, but is also far more powerful as less of the energy is lost than there would be during the Arrow's flight. Used without a bow, White Fire can be applied in a variety of ways, for example, such as damaging bursts of fire(though, Offensive potential is somewhat weak in comparison to healing capabilities, can cause moderate burning damage and thats about it), or healing individuals by cloaking them in the stuff or the laying of cloaked hands(Healing potential: can repair even mortal injuries, can also heal conditions such as serious illness or poisoning, and even heal and reattach severed limbs if they can be found and put back in place before the limb dies), or even a mundane task such as creating light to illuminate dark areas or lighting of flammable objects, etc. White Fire can serve as shield of sorts against fire as well and grants a rather considerable degree of resistance to heat and other flames. It should be noted however that the general strength of White Fire tends to grow weaker during eclipses or in heavy rainfall. It's strength can be boosted however if exposed to Holy Oil or something coated in it. Current Belongings: A carved oak Recurve Bow with slight metal reinforcing, a white hooded coat embroidered with Crimson Crosses, some emergency funds in the form of gold coins, approximately 50 arrows in her quiver, 2 vials of Holy Oil good for one use each (for coating Arrows), and a Cudgel hanging from her belt, which is coated with Holy Oil (Only boosts her ability when she's actually holding it) Reasons for joining: Following the beginning of the effects of the Lunamancer's spell, both her and her brother were sent out by The Order of the White Flare in order to gather as much information as they could and try to find if it was reversible. Along the journey they became separated at some point, with neither knowing the fate of the other, but Mayanna has resolved that she must see her mission through to it's conclusion and put off searching for Freyl until it is complete. Additional: A very bright and observant individual, Willing to provide her healing services to those who genuinely need it free of any charge. Prefers being called Maya for short. Also, if she falls during the course of the quest, I intend to use her twin brother Freyl as a new character to carry on with. Let me know if anything needs changing or editing. -
I'd honestly prefer the latter... :/ And I don't think some peoples are completely done yet even after the announcement

Mareek was silent for a while at the mention of the Massacre from back in Kanto all those years ago, looking over at Nemo, not expecting anything good from this. Luckily though the Cubone merely meet his gaze with one filled with curiosity; obviously he had no idea what the hell James was talking about. It took a few more seconds for his trainer to come back into focus about the situation though. "Huh, what...oh, Mew?" he asked, obviously distracted, his voice holding a bit of an edge in it now. "Yeah, yeah... I've got several effigy's of all the legendaries from every region carved." He reached to a shelf underneath the stand's surface and produced a carving of a Mew leaning backwards, curling itself into a ball with it's tail wrapped around it's body, sleeping soundly. It was about the size of the palm of his hand, sitting atop a small wood display stand and held up by a pillar rising from the surface. The detailing was beautifully done to say the least, with obvious attention and care paid to the bodily proportions and curvetures. The thing was even lightly varnished and polished, holding a bit of a shine in the sun light. "The price is 12 BP for a legendary, or you could pay the same amount in cash if you want."- 1255 replies

"I don't know," Mareek said, looking over at the Kafkins. It only took a few seconds before he figured out they were most likely Slade's parents; didn't take a rocket scientist to compare all the similar facial features, and especially not when you don't forget anyone's face. And also didn't take a rocket scientist to notice Slade was gone from that Barbeque stand his roommate had been working on all this time... hmmm, wonder why that was? "It's probably best if we don't though, we'd probably be intruding on something if we walked over at this moment... just a hunch. Trust me on this..." Nemo meanwhile looked at James curiously as the boy stuttered upon the sight of him, making sure to keep an eye on where the boy's hands went while he was at it. "Yeah, it's a cubone," Mareek said, hearing the other student's question. He reached into his jacket's pocket, pulling out a small spiral bound pad of paper and a cheap pen and placing it on the counter before James. His outfit wasn't all that different from the usual ensemble of his white Jacket that was by now probably a trademark of him along with a black tee and equally black jeans and combat boots to match, a pair of goggles resting atop his head and leather gloves fitted on his hands. He pushed the pad and pen forward expectantly. "So... are you here to just gawk at Nemo, or do you want to buy or commision something?" At the back of the stand, in the work area, Erce simply gave a glance to the Larvesta as she chirped out her explanation of why she would need to hide. while she wasn't too fond of Fire herself, she had honestly never really had any problems with Little Corona here... so she decided to just let the other bug type stay and hide for a while, so long as she didn't use any fire of hers; the whole place would go up like a very literal tinder box if she did. Having impressed this one condition upon the far younger bug, she went back to her work, scythes moving in a blur as she carved up the next couple of commissioned pieces, Java using Psybeam to move the finished products out of her way and onto the metal transport tray for Mareek to pick up later.- 1255 replies

Didn't read the massive text wall, but if this if an Interest check and not an actual OCC, please label it appropriately using the tag "[interest Check]" so as to avoid confusing people. Because it's just misleading the way it's currently tagged -
those are just my opinions about the sets. Whether you decide you want to change it or not is entirely up to you at the end of the day.
-
Outrage seems OK to me so long as it's just a mini tantrum at this point, rather than a full blown "knocking down houses and setting shit on fire" rampage that it would be like at full power. As for the Metang, Having both Brick Break and Ice Punch on it at this point might be a bit much, so I'd suggest limiting it to either or. And I'm not feeling too good about the Axew's moveset to be honest. Same thing with the metagross; I'd suggest choosing between either Slash or Poison Jab, and replacing the one you don't choose with a lower powered move.
-
Oh, and by the way, if anyone wants something carved or some engraving on something wood, feel free to come by and commission something at the stand (Preferably after Chimchain updates)
-
Well, not necessarily a violent rampage in the instance of being betrayed, but he'll always remember it and eventually that person will pay for it. He's more vindictive, rather than actually rampaging about it, he thinks and he plans to get even in a single swift blow. And even to get this reaction, someone would have to really screw him over. The point is, neither he nor the Lord Arceus take very kindly to being betrayed or tricked. Mareek tries to be relatively Honest and transparent with people for the most part, and he honestly expects the same in return and even when he gets violent, it's never a rampage, but always very, very focused...
-
Looker's gonna have nothing on me someday. and yes, they are... but I've already made my frustrated rant as to why their so highly incompetent, long, long ago. And I think I've finally figured out which Legendary would be best suited for Mareek to befriend... Arceus himself. yes, dats right, Arceus, because (From bulbapedia): Arceus is shown to care for and safeguard the planet in ancient times and protected it from cataclysms such as meteors, and it would show gratitude and compassion in return to those who treated it with equal kindness. Arceus does not suffer fools gladly, and it will attack in a violent rampage if betrayed or deceived. It also holds long grudges if betrayed by those it considered friends. I think it's rather fitting...

TFW you're supposed to be typing up the next Story Chapter and you get pulled off into the RP forum instead :/

Gotta get some focus there Mister Strat lol. I wouldn't even look at the RP forums while writing G:DoAS

Chapter 2 will get done though, the fire drives me onward! the true beginning of PSS's story will be told!(OK, well technically it all begins a LOT longer ago and originally had nothing to do with this current world or Stratos, but you get what I mean...)

Edited in some training details from the past few weeks. And it looks like the Terrorist Hunter motivation is stronger than ever for Mareek... someday far in the future, the Global/ International Police are gonna get whipped into some serious shape...
