  1. ((I'm moving this on, Azery, You'll simply have to catch up later on.)) Sinbad, Darius, Gideon, Zoliver The wind picked up and sent drifts of sand blowing towards the group as they continued to trek away from the fire's light. Leonidas led the way in silence, the soft swish of sand eventually starting to give way to a harsh crunch under his boots. All around them, the dessert was sparkling with thousands upon thousands of tiny lights beneath the moon's glow. The silhouettes of blackened and collapsed ruins stretched out before the men, reaching up to the majesty of the full moon in vain, doomed to forever lay mere shells of whatever former glory they had been. The scorched and fused remains of what had likely been a major street lay desolate and open just a few dozen more paces from their spot. Leonidas removed his Cloak and Pauldrons as he stomped harder and harder on the glossy stuff underfoot, dropping the gear onto the spot he'd attacked and holding out the arm that he had used to block Deric from taking his head off his shoulders. A nasty length of scarlet graced the flesh, still slowly bleeding as tiny droplets spilled onto the disowned piece of armor. "We need to talk about a few things before we venture beyond this area," he said. A stony gaze was what he fixed on the travelers, including Absalom and Lucian;one that made it clear that if they had any questions, they had best keep their damn mouths shut and listen. A strange symbol began to glow to life on his palms as more blood dripped down onto the metal and broken glass. "From what Deric mentioned back there, there are apparently Dragons somewhere within the city. The Danger level of what we're about to do... has just risen to as high as it could possibly get." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOYl8IyMN7E He began to draw a shape reminiscent of a spear in the air with his bleeding arm, his index and middle fingers glowing a hot white along with the symbol on his palm. The air burned and distorted as wispy lines dragged behind their wake, staying in place as he continued, finishing what appeared to be the head of the weapon, then the shaft... until finally sitting there in the air before them all was an intricately designed outline of a lance. "When we are within that city, you WILL do as you are told by me, and you will NOT hesitate to do it. Do you understand?" He dropped his hand away from the light outline, holding it now open towards the gear sitting on the ground as it started to take on a hazy glow the same color of the blood he was still leaking. "If you do, then you're death will be almost certainly assured. These are full grown wyrms we will be dealing with; they are a thousand cuts above the average monster and a thousand times more intelligent as well. One false move, and it won't matter if you all are among the 'Chosen Ones', your life will be snatched up and devoured as if you were nothing but a piece of steak thrown to the dogs." The hazy red glow began to elongate and warp, breaking down the Pauldrons and collar guard and cloak into nothing short of a thousand pinpoints of ethereal matter. Ethereal matter that drifted up as if caught in a hot wind and began spiraling around the shape Leonidas had drafted. The outline took on a blood red glow all it's own. "If you are to awaken Arthur from his slumber as Deric however, you have no choice but to engage these entities and the man known as Marca. From the account so far, it seems as if it is he and he alone whom has caused so much turmoil to prevent Arthur being able to break free of his own accord. He is distracted. And that stops him from realizing what must be done here." All at once, the storm of blood red specks of light rushed in towards the light mold, blazing in a furious luminance that practically blinded all except Leon himself. A shockwave of scarlet energy issued forth, blowing in the adventurers faces like a hot wind. It smelled heavy, metallic... smelled like blood. Leonidas' blood. The star that was the weapon the Hero had magically forged without a fire began to die a little as the moments dragged on, revealing it's actual shape. A long, jagged head with a serrated side that looked like a cruel sawblade, while on the other resembled a broad dagger with an equally as vicious yet curved edge that all came to an apex in a razor sharp point. The shaft extended for a the better part of five and half feet, nearly six if not exactly. The entire length had a curve to it, in a s shape almost, like one would find on a Scimitar or a curved blade. But the most startling feature... was that the entire thing was an eerie scarlet in coloration, from the tip of the head all the way to the end of the shaft. A leather strap was equip at the top and bottom, but To top the uneasiness of the weapon it glowed with a faint light of matching hue; as if it had been bathed in the blood of angels. And Leon grabbed it up in his bloody hand, leveling the thing right at Sinbad and his Cohorts. "He is distracted..." he continued in a fury. "SO DESTROY THAT DISTRACTION!" the men could feel their blood run cold as he said those worlds. The only guarantee they had that he wouldn't go and strike them down then and there for no reason was the fact that he lowered the weapon to his side. "Say you understand," He ordered everyone of them but Sinbad coldly as the sound of dragons roaring came from very, very far in the distance, sounding like nothing more than a whisper on the wind... but unmistakable to the Dragoneer's ears. "Because if you don't, I'll leave you all here like a bunch of four year olds for Sinbad to babysit, While I go take care of those damn beast solo style...if you will not follow directions within that city, I will not lead you inside to your death."
  2. Hey, I just thought of something: Why_not have a bit of a rivalry start between Java and Spitfire at some point, like Erce is someday going to have with Lance? just an interesting thought...
  3. So, my one year aniversary of being on reborn is coming about 2 weeks or so and I figured I'd do something special like a thank you thread or something... but so far I can only think up of about 5 or so names to thank besides a massive shout out to the Roleplaying forums... :/

  4. Java was officially starting to hate Fire Types now. First that Torkoal from yesterday, and now this lizard... Needless to say, the flames were intense when they slammed into the back of the porygon and sent him flying forward before he could give any reaction, only to be caught by the red beam of Mareek holding up his ball and recalling him before putting the capsule back onto his belt. He could've tried to prolong things, have him use the same Conversion 2 strategy they had yesterday... but what would've been the point in that? Java was already hurting from the D-rage, so why push him any further in a battle where who won didn't necessarily even matter? And honestly, Mareek himself had just completely lost interest in this engagement. "Good Match," was all he said, out of sheer formality, to Jacob as he walked off his place on the end of the field and headed over towards Lana where she sat next to Evan and some other girl. He didn't really know her company all that well, but it didn't matter to him; at the moment he just wanted to get as far away from the other trainer as he could and put this whole experience behind him. A message from Java came through on his Dex. Vengeance... Someday. "Calm down," he said to the screen as he continued walking. "They just happened to have Dragon Rage. Things could've gone a lot differently back there if not for that saving grace..." then he thought about a little. "Wait, what do you want it for?" the answer was painfully obvious even as he asked. "No wait... don't, I already know; insulted pride, right?" YES!!! Blazed in big black letters on the screen. "Calm down Java..." he said, again trying to Placate the Porygon which was obviously occupying the Dex's Operating system. "We're better than that, aren't we? We don't have to stoop to doing crap to other people just because of something as petty as pride, do we? Or maybe I've just misjudged you?" There was no response. Then the word fine took the place of the 'Yes' on the screen and the device shut off on it's own. He put it back in his pocket. and took a seat near where Evan and Lana and the Girl he hadn't met sat, not saying anything as he did so as he found that he wasn't quite keen on talking right now, despite previous thoughts...
  5. The memory of hearing the fire of a sub machine gun over the phone earlier played through his mind as Lux held his hand out. That's right... you do have to be careful. But after this, I will find you Allan. And if whoever fired those shots wasn't you... There will be hell to pay for it. " I completely understand your position," he said, shaking the boy's hand. "Hell, if things were reversed, I'd be doing the exact same..."
  6. http://www.dragonflycave.com/typequiz.aspx So I found this... and turns out I was right.
  7. Whatever it was, it probably doesn't matter because I've tried to look around the area when I first noticed it myself and it appears as though you would've had to block it off anyway in order to complete the Crustle Puzzle and get to the Falls. So unless you took a side track before finishing the movements and went in and explored, there was apparently no way you could get in afterwards. I saw it too back in ep13, but only after I realized just this and had finished the puzzle, so it was already too late to try.
  8. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7993&hl=gemini ^^^It's been talked about in depth in the above topic.
  9. I'm intending to just lose from the next attack that Spitfyre launches. And Chimchain didn't say anything against it when I brought it up, so... and I'm not just making it up on the spot or using BS science or logic like Slade was; it's been written over and over and over again and demonstrated numerous times in several situations before this, and has some evidence both in game appearances and in the anime that it's main method of moving of Hovering a bit off the ground. But enough, it doesn't matter, like I said before, I don't care about winning when I Roleplay Pokemon battles. There's character development that can come out of this for both parties involved, so I personally have no issue.
  10. Even when I've already said I'm don't intend to be an enemy to them, I still get the equivalent of gun pointed in my damn face... Guess I should've gotten use to being threatened by people after all this time though, god knows the cops and feds have given me more than enough practice... "Very well then..." Anver said simply, clearing his voice. He moved away from the door way, Strafing around the boy still pointing his fingers at him and taking a seat slowly in one of the chairs. "Fine, you want to keep the secrecy, I can understand that. But you know, instead of that gun trick there, a simple 'We're standing in his very office, he should be back momentarily' would've sufficed just fine to stop me in my tracks..."
  11. Here, let me go find what Chim and us were talking about... Chimchain said that the logic behind it is that Ground type moves exert energy which can hit Pokemon that Hover, but not pokemon with the ability Levitate. so technically even though Java isn't on the ground, he can still be hit by Ground Type moves. But for the electrocution situation, he'd would have to have direct contact with the conductor, which is the ice covered ground in this case, and as he doesn't actually have contact to the ground due to hovering, he is safe from his own attack using Discharge on the field.
  12. ((It's been discussed already in the OCC, I've been writing that Java Hovers since Mareek first got him and Chimchain himself raised no issue with my reasoning in this when I talked about it)) Hmm... guess that won't work twice... Mareek thought as Java was hit by a blast of blue flames and dirt bursting up from beneath him. The Freeze dry hadn't hurt a lot.. but this had, and it showed as the Porygon winced, looking quite injured from it. Mareek could tell that another bout of it, and... We might not be able to win this one if he's got Dragon Rage or something like it on that freaking lizard of his... oh well, still should try. "Can you keep going?" he asked Java, concerned. The Porygon glared at him as if to say 'don't give in' "Alright... Fire off Triattack right into the hole that attack caused." Java focused and set up the Triangular attack before him, sending it flying into the dark depths of the hole beneath him....
  13. Eh, I figured I'm holding things up so I just went and had decided how I'd have Mareek and Java react to what was said and how it was said.
  14. Java shivered ferociously as the Freeze Dry hit, but the attack had no where near the effectiveness as Jacob apparently thought it would due to the fact that... Java wasn't even touching the dang water. But both the Porygon and his Trainer got a bit miffed at the other boy's latest lecture, and it showed clearly in the eyes of them both. "Yeah, Jacob, I can see alright..." Mareek said, venom lacing his voice. "But apparently you can't. Java isn't fucking touching the ground; He hovers- See?" Java moved himself up and down as he hovered in the air, having stopped shivering due to the Sun's warmth just before it faded away. Then he even strafed from side to side, back and forth, HOVERING the entire time and nowhere in contact with the earth. The Porygon just glared at Jacob and spitfyre as his trainer continued, because he thought what Mareek had ordered had been an excellent idea and had whole heartily agreed to the tactic; so railing against his trainer fot it was, in a way, railing against him for it as well. "So, I guess that makes me a 'Dolt' for just thinking two steps ahead and anticipating you'd use the Ice Field on Nemo and then sending out Java to turn your own strategy against you? Or perhaps I'm 'Reckless' because I ordered Java to electrocute the field knowing full well that due to him not having contact with the ground, he'd be perfectly safe to do it? Apparently I don't care about my team members, is that what you think? Fine, we're done here Java, I've honestly lost my respect for this opponent." He took out Java's ball, prepared to recall him in complete disgust at the uncalled-for berating and just forfeit... When his Dex pinged and stopped him. it was a simple message from Java: No, keep going and prove him wrong. DO NOT forfeit. Mareek slowly stowed the capsule back, sighing. This fight wasn't fun or exciting or even interesting to him anymore. Things had been completely soured in his eyes. "Alright, Java, if you want to keep going... I guess you're right. Let's prove him wrong..." a smirk crept onto his face as he worked exactly what he was gonna do. "Hey java, you're not touching the ground, right?" he asked sarcastically. The thing just rolled it's eyes at the remark, hovering a little higher as a 'yes' of sorts. "Then let's electrocute the field again, fun idea, right?" Java... well if java had a mouth right now, or vocal cords for that matter, he'd be chuckling a bit. How ironic, continue fighting using the same tactic they had been reprimanded by the opponent for. Alright, he could get behind that idea. A few crackles and pops sounded as he hovered where he was, beginning to glow a faint yellow... then he unleashed Discharge just like he had for chalachi, hitting the spots close around him that had flash freezed again and melting them from the heat of the electricity... and all over again, the field was being electrocuted with tendrils of the stuff arcing right for Spitfyre, both on the water and arcing through the air... Have fun, asshat... Mareek thought sarcastically as he watched the whole thing....

  17. I will update for Group B in PSS tomorrow morning.

  18. Two wanted criminals versus the Popo... Yeah, no...Typically doesn't end well for the wanted folks. GG you two. XD
  19. Go into Gemini, set the Shiny Encounter Rate super high, and get back to searching for the Sunflora. I'm afraid that's the only advice I can give you for this, my friend. Just persevere.
  20. The moment that they were out of the Party, Anver looked to Lux, urgency in his eyes as he recalled the Barkeep's words. "I need to speak with your boss," he said, already moving for the doorway. "Can you point me in his direction? The less time I have to take to find him, the better." His mind was already running a mile minute even though his feet weren't, coming up with the proposal he'd pitch to the man in order to convince him. It would be a straight forward deal; In return for conducting an Infiltration on wherever Utopia was based and helping him get his loved ones, Anver would give this group full use of his network for the foreseeable future. This of course, obviously meant he'd have to stay on with them as the intermediate between them and his contacts, as they likely wouldn't listen to strangers if Anver didn't introduce them in person, but... well, Rebelling didn't seem too bad a path at the moment, given that in a way, the Government started this whole mess for him. And like he had already said... Can't become any more wanted than he already is. Unless he had a bounty on his head or something, that would be a much different story...

Which is to say, that's kind of the point. The US's school system is more about teaching kids to take things at their teachers word than actual learning. Essentially, it's trying to parent instead of teaching. And this is ignored, or even promoted, since actual parents tend to not do their jobs

And to get me off the subject of the school system (my opinions are a bit volatile there...): What is an SOL anyways?

A Shit Out of Luck test... erm, I mean, A "Standards Of Learning" test... but it just puts the country shit out of luck in the long run.

  22. ever fought on a level playing field where no one has powers...? Notus, just out of curiosity, doe either Team have Firearms at their disposal (I mean like, the actual forces we're being made to work for, so do the actual people running the Bank have armed guards down there?)
