  1. Yeah, that's about right. The Alleyway Team is trying to infiltrate and it's the job of Team Bank to repel the invasion.
  2. "As dead as I apparently needed to be..." The man said from behind Trystane shortly after the young hunter entered the Ice Field. Haggard breathes passed Rossephus' frost covered lips as he took a few halting steps forward, clutching his ribs beneath his jacket with one hand and a long pole of light clutched in the other, casting a glow on Trystane and himself before quietly dying down into nothing within the Man's grasp. The sound of metal on stone echoed out as he dropped the Iron Pipe he carried, the thing clattering and then rolling away. Trystane had only felt the warmth for a moment, but there was no denying that the length of metal had been producing heat, likely the only explanation as to how this attack had been survivable to it's query. "Things have gone horribly awry if an assassin managed to infiltrate my forces..." He said, sinking to his knees, the bandages on his chest so saturated in scarlet that they practically hung off in heavy strips, revealing glimpses of a nasty wound beneath. He grimaced with every breath he took. "All of you... get what supplies you might need... From the shops in the city...remember what I told you to say to the owners. Then flee here as fast as you can, don't even risk staying the night. You're far more important of a component in this than I am, and whoever did this... is probably still around...It doesn't matter where you go, just so long as...so long as you can stay alive till morning for the time being."
  3. I don't know honestly... I'm still trying to find what I want his strangeness to manifests as. Yeah, let's just go with that for that question concerning EQ...
  4. It's Gamefreak logic... don't try to make sense of it. It's not worth it, trust me. But it's not like I'm pulling this whole "hovering" thing out of my keister, I've literally been writing Java as moving around that way since Mareek first got him on day 2 of school back in Chapter 1. And there was foreshadowing that he was anticipating this ice field tactic being used in his thoughts for this.
  5. Ah Jory... you forgot that Java's species floats, he has no contact with the ground at all... like ever. (Remember how he was keeping an aerial view alongside erce during the search?) It;s both in the games and the anime that the Porygon Line levitates (not like the ability, but you get what I mean...) Ergo, he isn't in contact with the Ice Field itself but is hovering above it. That's the only reason why Mareek even ordered that Discharge like that instead of having him just lock onto Chalchi, he was taking advantage of the fact that his team member has no physical contact to the earth or the conductor that's coating it.
  6. Hmmm.... maybe I am a Dragon Type?

  8. Nemo knew it... well, sort of. The ice field wasn't expected, but what followed was it exactly. A burst of water, and the cubone was sent skidding back on the ice before he ever got close, the Orphan coming to a halt only when Mareek took out his capsule and recalled him for a rest. The trainer replaced the ball on his belt as he surveyed the icy field in it's entirety, shaking his head for a moment. Look at that, I was right... the guy actually went and used the Ice Field Tactic, exactly like I expected. OH well, best to let him think he's got me off guard... not! He showed no expression on his face as he took out Java's Ball, expanding it in his hand and already knowing the orders he would use... quite evil of him, but his opponent had honestly walked right into this. I wonder if he knows that Ice will melt when exposed to electricity? "Now... that's done," he said to Jory. "So now is when I really start fighting like hell, and by the way..." He depressed the trigger and sent out the Porygon. The Co Strategist saw the frozen field... and Chalachi on the other end. And knew exactly what his trainer was plotting. He preemptively began charging up the shock... "This Ice Field isn't my issue..." The sound of crackles was beginning to come from his Porygon... "It's yours!!!" He said, turning to Java immediately afterwards and breaking back into his Battle Language. "Discharge, as powerful as you can make it! even more powerful than with that Swellow incident, Hit everywhere!" The Porygon started to take on a bright yellow glow as it unleashed the charge, sending tendrils of electricity in every direction, many of them arcing right towards Chalachi... while at the same time many arced along the ice coating the ground. making it's way across the field as the stuff melted back into a thin layer of water, lighting it up and crackling it's way along the H2O covered ground right towards the Lapras right along with the airborn arcs...
  9. "Well, if I may," Blackjack said, inserting himself into the conversation before any response could be given. "Generally speaking, when one is crushed by massively conjured spears of Ice, that constitutes a legitimate cause of death. But I presume we can't exactly count this man as a general case, thus the only way to know for certain is to see the body..."
  10. So uh, yeah, Jory, if you wanna just take out Nemo... get an easy win for this first match of the fight. or you don't want to get a win that way or just want to draw out the obviously inevitable and not take him out right now but instead a bit later. which ever you like... I ran things through a few calculators, and the chances of OHKO from water pulse against Nemo is pretty high (Over 90% at least, which is why I didn't have him take a hit sooner; didn't want to end things too quickly.) EDIT: and now things get interesting.
  11. "You say you've overestimated me?" Mareek asked calmly. "Alright, your problem, I don't give a damn honestly. but arrogance bites, just remember that." He turned to Nemo, knowing the exact move he was going to order. He could've used it a few moments before, but had figured he should probably save it for a situation like this. An avoidance and Direct hit technique should work, though he knew full well that there was no way Nemo would be able to avoid anything at close range; it would be lights out for the ground type. Though a moment ago he felt he needed to see more, it was obvious that Nemo wasn't going to choke up or anything. The trial was done; He felt that it wouldn't be too hard on the Cubone to actually battle on his own, and knowing this, he would be able to move forward from there without worrying. But the fact was that the orphan simply wasn't strong enough nor had been worked with enough to be able to come out on top in this right now. "Detect!" he ordered the Cubone before it could close it's eyes, knowing it would get him out of the situation. Nemo lowered his hand and his eyes glowed a dull blue as he hopped forward and dived to the ground, effectively putting him out of the path of the Water Pulse and out of view of the Light show as it was now behind him rather than in his face. "Everything I do has a reason," he continued speaking to Jory, quite coldly. "What if I told you that this whole time, I had no strategy, but just wanted to Make sure my team member would be alright with being in an actual battle because I was worried about him? That winning isn't the priority for me? Because I've gotten all the assurance I was looking for from this fight." Then he returned his attention to Nemo, actually speaking in english instead of Japanese. "You've done fine, buddy, but it's time to end this, the odds aren't very strong in our favor, I haven't worked with you enough to overcome a disadvantage like this...don't feel bad about it. let's go out with a bang now; Use bone rush." Nemo looked back and forth between Chalachi and the boy... then just shrugged. Mareek obviously had something planned about all of this; he didn't know what it was, but he trusted his trainer, had trusted him since the swellow encounter when they'd met and so far had been proven to have not misplaced any of it in him. He was no fool though, if that lapras used a water pulse at how close a range he would have to get, it would be it for him... but so long as it had a purpose... Going purely on faith in some untold plan, Nemo held his Club out like a sword. A blue light surrounded it, then the light extended and took the form of a long, slender bone as he gripped it firmly. The next moment he was rushing off towards The Lapras at the other end of the field, bracing himself for the impact of the water pulse he knew was most likely coming...
  12. just to clarify things on Lucille's ability, since I realize I kinda screwed up in the Sign Up sheet: When I said her limit is one, I was meaning in the situations where she completely tries to micromanage the animal, basically using it like a tool. In other words, whenever she uses them like puppets and maintains a constant control over their movements and actions (like a puppeteer), that takes up the majority of her focus and as such she can't do the same with more than one at a time. The method she's using right now though is a lot more passive, She's basically just giving them quick prompts at a time and then pretty much backing off until she gives another, and as such her focus is only taken for a few moments at a time at the very most. In a nut shell, the first method is like Piloting an aircraft, it takes utmost focus in order to maintain control. The second technique is more like Directing a Film, it takes paying attention, but focus isn't necessarily devoted fully to any one thing until some prompt has to be given to an actor, and afterwards the focus is taken away from that individual in particular again. Sorry about that. :/
  13. Elemus tore his other knife from his belt as the man tried to get on top of him. A smoldering annoyance burned in his eyes as he went for a stab to the man's Trachea, intending to completely destroy his wind pipe and end this nonsense before it went any further. The idiot would more than likely bleed out, but boo-freaking-hoo, he was the one who'd attacked first, not Elemus. If he died from the retaliation, then it was the man's own damn fault. Lucille, meanwhile, went to work to find more rat's like the one that was attacking one of the Armored Men; She had found over the years that when she tried to micro manage an animal, control everything it does, she could never manage to split her focus from more than one at a time. When she took a step back though, simply gave them quick directions instead of completely devoting her attention to what they do, went in and then backed off, she could do a lot more. It wasn't long before she found two others. And when she did, they too put up resistance, but getting them to get moving was as simple as saying that the men possibly had food on them along with sending the image of the men along with the message, as she had done with the one she'd set on them before. The next moment they were both eagerly scuttling along the floor towards the two men blocking the exits and climbing up their legs in a flurry, seeking to locate this supposed food...
  14. Hmmm... Think I'll do that. @Darklight, sounds good. I'll have Mareek ask Lana for help first and then perhaps Danielle can suggest a partnership like what you're thinking (Which I think might get Lana to agree to it)
  15. I might do a wood carving stall... if anyone's interested in manning the front while Mareek and his team make the products. split the earnings 50/50 EDIT: hmmm... or I could just have him premake them all in a set amount in preparation...
  16. Nemo began to get a bit wobbly as the light show began around, teetering a little as he struggled to resist. Gonna use a clearly light based attack like that, eh? Well, if he can't see it... "Close your eyes and then use Ancient Power's light to block it out," Mareek ordered, recognizing the Confuse Ray even despite Jacob's copying him and switching to a foreign language; There was no mistaking what a light show like that could've been. "If you shut your eye lids and stop the light from filtering through, then the ray can't do anything to your head." Nemo could barely grasp the idea as his head swam a little more, so he just tried to focus on the first two things he had heard, 1:Close eyes, 2: use Ancient Power. The Cubone snapped his eyes shut and placed one hand over them for extra protection, feeling a bit better immediately after, while holding up his club and beginning to glow with a silvery light all his own. A sphere of matching color materialized before him, effectively cancelling out Chalachi's attack as the light he was generating from his own move overpowered that which had been conjured in front of him by the Lapras. Both the the light from Confuse Ray and Ancient power faded and he opened them as the boy addressed him again. "If you see the green glow again," he began. "Then don't even think, cover your eyes, immediately, understand?" Then to Jory in english "I'm not a five year old, you know? It's not exactly rocket science that a Move like confuse ray relies on the target's sight of it in order to function. And nice copying me right there, going with another language in order to give orders, truly, how original of you, Jacob..." As he spoke though, his mind was evaluating the situation. The chance's of Nemo winning this with such a huge type disadvantage is pretty low overall; But I honestly don't care whether he wins or loses this anyway, All I want out of this is a 1 to 1 fight trial run where I can see how well he handles things in an actual fight setting and what needs to be worked on, given how I found him along with that Swellow yesterday... so far it looks as though He's doing better than hoped for though... but let's see if he can keep up the pace.
  17. Kage. I want to see how Mareek might respond around him a little given they haven't actually met yet. EDIT: Oh wait, they have to be in the trainer program, right?
  18. "Bonemerang," Mareek ordered in Japanese as the blasts of water came at Nemo. The cubone saw what his Trainer intended and obeyed quickly, winding back his arm in an arc and sending his club hurtling through the air, colliding with the first Sphere of water and causing it to burst prematurely before arcing back around in it's flight path and intercepting the second sphere as well. He looked back up at Mareek as the Club finally returned to his hand. You're so lucky this isn't doubles, Jacob... He thought to himself. Your Chalachi was one of the main threats I developed our Ancient Lightning Technique to take care of... He looked down at Nemo. He'll probably use an Ice Field tactic similar to the one I caught a glimpse of him using against the Donphans, thinking that it will impede Nemo's combat ability... alright, go on, Jacob... prove me right. "Go on the defensive," was the only other Japanese order he gave the Cubone. The orphan nodded, facing Jacob and Chalachi again, bracing itself for the worst and focusing on his opponent... ((From this point forward, every command he gives his Team in this fight will be in Japanese. If he speaks to Jacob at any point during it, then it means he will have broken back into english momentarily in order to do it.))
  19. "I guess we haven't," Ethic said simply. The gears of his mind turned as he tried to determine with certainty whether or not the man was who he honestly had been thinking he was. The fact that he had first spotted him in the presence of The Killer definitely had it's impact on his evaluation; his assumption being that taylor and the man had probably fought outside of the Arena he'd made and the most obvious result being the reward for the old fool. But again, this was assuming he had actually met the man standing in front of him before. He accepted the shake with a firm grasp, looking right at 'Terry' with his pair of Aviators blocking out all emotion or signs of acknowledgement his eyes might've held, as they had with Ixidor. Ethic menatlly prepared himself to change up his speech patterns a little, not wanting the guy to have any more information than he had already if it turned out to be a stranger indeed. Only one way to figure it out for sure. "Ethic," he responded. "good to meet you. But eh, Terry, you wouldn't have happened to see an elderly gentleman around here somewhere, have you? He was about your height or so, it would honestly be hard to miss him given that he's the oldest traveler of our group by far... The last I saw of him he was about to fight some Psychopath he had a score to settle with and had ordered the rest of us to go on without him and let him fight his own battle. I'm beginning to get worried about him at this point though, that was a considerable amount of time ago..."
  20. Oh... I likey. BRB. @Exlink I don't know... I saw it and thought it fitting for some reason.
  21. I don't know, for some reason your name makes me think of one of these, Zephyr.
