  1. The Staraptor wasn't expecting the Steel clad bird to be able to move so fast, but nevertheless it gave it it's damnest attempt at evading when the thing came at it. It managed to get it's center mass out of the way barely in time, but felt a searing pain tear through it's upper back along the right shoulder. Crusader's bladed wings had torn a large cut through the flesh, sending the bird of prey into a pain fueled frenzy, blood droplets spraying through the air as it powered through the agony and soared higher into the atmosphere, so far that it soon became a speck in the sky, then disappeared... and then when it had flown as far as it could handle, it dropped altitude and allowed itself to enter free fall, righting itself with it's beak oriented towards Crusader as it righted out from it's attack earlier... And as it fell it's body became engulfed in a harsh blue light, a trail streaking behind it;s wake as it plummeted further and further towards it's target. Within an Instant, Crusader began to hear a harrowing screech from up above. The Staraptor flung open it's wing span once more, soaring downwards at terminal velocity with it's body flaming in harsh blue aura... It was heading right for the steel clad bird. *** "Permission granted, Soldier!" Surge shouted over the din of several bolts of electricity being hurled from down the hill, all of them slamming against Pimperalla's exterior with very little effect. "You!" he said, nodding to his electric mouse. "Absorb one of those bolts, pronto! then sent it back at em!" The Pikachu did as ordered, Surge tossing the thing up high into the air as a stray blast arced overhead. The mouse came back down a moment later, the glands on it's cheek glowing a hot red from the electricity it had absorbed. It landed on it's feet atop Pimparella's head, arcing itself back and raising it's tail, collecting a few more blasts that came it's way, drawing them in from the air as they passed and storing them up too. it unleashed a powerful dose of it's own lightning after a few more rounds, sending an immense blast hurtling back down the hill, scorching earth and leaving a blackened trail as it made it''s way to the tangoes. Several figures were seen diving out of the way as the Tesla-like death beam closed in, demolishing several houses with it's power. A slight squeking was heard as the Mouse began to totter and fell off balance, tumbling off Pimperella's head and onto the back of Infantry, who had rushed out to catch it's team mate. The thing was completely out cold. a path of pure destruction had been carved... "Go on soldier," Surge said to Clint as the Flareon returned carrying the mouse on it's back. "Give em hell... show em the power of Spark Alpha."
  2. Yes, Anarchy!!!! Best idea I've heard yet on the matter, Murdoc. To hell with it, we already use Common sense as a major basis for moves used and the battle system, so why not do the same with the Type match ups in general? I should've done this sooner, but I was to afraid to break away completely from the basic principles of the game mechanics and such... But you know what? this ain't pokemon anymore, it's our own revised, edited version of it where things are actually going to make sense a lot more. This is a Sci-fi, not a fantasy. With that genre conversation, certain aspects must also change and be converted. It's time I accept that and break away from tether I made myself. From this point on soldiers, we follow our own Mechanics in this RP. We'll only use ones shared with Game Freak's creation if they actually make sense, and if they don't, we go with our own guidelines, which will make sense. I'm fairly certain I know what everyone's going to say, but here's a poll anyway... http://www.strawpoll.me/2962503 let's get cracking, Spark Alpha. EDIT: I have no idea what I've just done to my mouse there... you'll see.
  3. Why thank you for the advice from your own experience with League challenges, Sheep. I'll get to implementing a few more changes tommorow and doing more testing.
  4. wait... maybe... are we truly rich? let's find out... hopefully we are, because if so... we may well pull through this bind...

  5. well it's making a whole lot of sense to me too from the way you've described it. What could be done is just create another category of type effectiveness: Dependent. So it would then be Super Effective, Not very effective, completely immune, and then Effectiveness Dependent on Scenario Hell, we could even use this system for Poison VS Steel (Since it seems that Acid is included under the general "Poison" typing.) and have the effectiveness of that be dependent on the scenario as well, (Ex: like how the thing with if Strong electric attacks are exposed for a long period on a steel type) what do you all think? should we just sat screw it and go a little rogue here?
  6. "Are you blind?" Deric asked without humor, voice grey as slate. He thrust his finger to something in the distance... the torched outskirts of Lithania were very clearly visible. "That city, boy. Right there, Lithania, former capital of the nation of Diros since the great Dismantling of the Theocracy, and now the resting places for all of my closest friends in the this world. That's the damn city I'm talking about." "Arthur!" Leonidas called as finally caught up to Zoliver and arrived at the Camp Fire. "Who the hell is 'Arthur'? the white knight asked, nodding down at Shavian. "What, is it his name or something? You know either of these boys, Lancer?" "Arthur is you, you old fool," Stratos ((Leon, whatever you prefer at this point.)) sighed, shaking his head. "But that's fine, Me and these others will have you recalling that simple fact before very long." "You'll have to forgive me for asking this, but just who the everloving fuck are you?" Deric stepped back, hand reaching for something hidden by his blood stained white cloak. "I'm Leonidas, Arthur, but you might know me better as Stratos this time around." There was silence for a very long moment that seemed to drag on for a whole eternity, then from Deric "Did you have something to do with the sorcery that befell this city tonight, Sky Slayer?" "Sadly, yes..." Stratos said, raising an Eyebrow, thinking it strange for that to be the only question the man had asked. "I'm afraid I did...in a way." There was no further discussion after that. Only a click, then the sound of a blade being drawn. The flash was nearly blinding as Deric tore his weapon from it's sheath Slicing through the towards the Sky Slayer's throat, only to be narrowly blocked by Stratos bringing up his bracer out of reflex, catching the blade with his forearm and wincing as it shattered the metal and send the shards flying into the night air like shrapnel from an explosion. Deric charged forward, unleashing another blow, this one tearing apart the man's breast plate and sending him to the frigid sand by the fire's light. Deric stormed towards him as he lay there, fire in his eyes and anguish in his voice. "Then my foolhardiness this night is amplified a thousand times..." he snarled. "You... you have caused the deaths of those few who I still actually give a damn about in this world... Jez, Decate, Roy... their blood is just as much on your hands for starting this mess, as it is on mine for failing to prevent their slaughtering within that damn city. I'm a man with no future, no friends, no hope. I've no real reason to go on living now, if you killed the Sky Lord like people always hear you boasting you would, then chances are that Aaron and Sam are dead now... I can't even go back to the boy, he was the only reason I ever stayed in the first place. And to think, if I had stayed in Cithalos instead of pursuing this damn rapist out of some vendetta... Now everyone's gone, I've been trying to put her soul to rest, but she wouldn't have wanted this, any of it... she wouldn't have wanted me to cause others to lose their lives pointlessly just to avenge her... now I've gone and ended up killing both her and her brother.God almighty, what a fool I've been!" He stood over top the sky slayer, blade clenched, fist white as snow. He stood with his back to the fire, casting his face in shadowy night. But Leon could see those eyes, eyes like a wolf, cold, ferocious, filled with fury more primal than god himself. "I should have just stayed in Cithalos... and killed you when you showed up and stopped all of this from happening before it ever began. God, Lucretia... I'm sorry. All I've done with this pursuit is cause innocent people to fall prey to the evil lying before me. In my quest to avenge you tonight, all I've done is things you surely look upon me with shame for. I have truly lost the way of a White Knight... and the way of a Magistrate." He turned his blade around in his palm, holding it back handed now as he lifted it into the air before him, hoisting it high in front of his face in a sacrificial manner. He looked down at the Sky slayer, tears glossing over his eyes and flowing down his cheeks. He was in a trance of pure grief. His breathing spuradic as he said "With my soon to be last breath, Stratos Valgiri, slayer of hollowed skies and bringer of ruin... I hereby sentence you to die in the name of humanity, and sentence myself as well for my failure to prevent your actions." Then he thrust his arms down, sending the blade towards Leon's heart... Shavian watched all this... and he felt a strange pain in his side. If he rolled up his shirt a little, he'd find a loaded Fusil stuffed into the waist of his pants, the same one he'd carried within him on his travel west. There the man who had apparently saved him was, going on about some woman named lucretia... about to kill someone. He didn't know what was going on... but he had the power to play god in his hands right now. There was only one question. Who would he fire upon? Whose life would he snuff out in one simple, irrevocable act? Or would he even fire at all?
  7. Holy mother of god... Well, there goes my career as a Gym Leader. Wait, you're a physics major, Soldier? why didn't you say so earlier, we could really use one of those around here. But dammit, guess that means... that Steel would have to be immune to electric. well, thank god I have Infantry...
  8. There is always a learning curve for new host, chimchain. Mistakes are made, but mistakes are just more opportunities to learn and improve. And I'm not letting you take all the responsibility here. I said things that probably crossed the line in regards to the rules of these forums. I was not thinking of rules in my moment of anger, but it does not matter, ignorance, not even temporary ignorance brought on by strong emotion, is not an excuse here. I said what I said, and I will own up to those words in a heart beat and accept whatever punishment is deemed fit without protest. I refuse to let someone else take the fall for something I did or said. so if you get contacted with any consequences regarding this meant specifically for me, then don't even try to protect me from them at the cost of yourself.
  9. ((Ah, I see you decided to go ahead and intro yourself. Let's get cracking)) Azery and Exlink "So, you're finally awake..." Deric said, dejectedly. "Good...it's good to know that at least I saved Someone this damn tonight..." The fire crackled and flared as he stared at the young man, his eyes strangely empty of everything aside from Grief and anger. It looked as though the man's soul had been broken once, and then he had realized it had been broken, refused to lay down and die, and went off to war against those who had inflicted him such harm, only to come to realize after all his fighting and shedding of blood, that no matter how many villains he killed, his soul would always be like this, cracked, split down the middle... Worthless. "And it looks like we have even more company..." he sighed as Zolvier finally made it over to the camp fire. A rumble came from underneath the area, and then nothing. The Sand Worm had decided against it's pursuit of the knight now that he'd gained strength in numbers. Deric stood from his seat on one of the two dried out, petrified anceint logs sitting in front of the camp fire, addressing Zoliver with eyes cold and depressing as the most frigid of Ice. "Who are you, boy?" he demanded. "Why is it that I find you running to my fire in the middle of this God aweful night, alone in the dessert outside of a city that has been scorched by some sorcery? Speak, or walk away." ((For those still at the portal, you are free to make your way over to the scene at your own discretion right now.))
  10. I'll try to become skilled enough to achieve victory even in such a situation then, Corporal.
  11. Enough about it soldiers, enough. If you've already posted your...opinion, as requested by the party in question of said Opinion, then I advise you say no more regarding the matter until Sergeant Chimchain and Commander Hukuna see this, for the sake of keeping things as civil as we can in the current situation. Not that I don't trust you all to be civil now, I just don't want this to get out of hand because of back and forth between certain parties, which I can foresee possibly happening right now.
  12. Alright, well thank you for the advice anyway, Soldier. Again, many of them just randomly popped into my head at first and I just went with them because I couldn't think of anything else. And a thanks to all of you who contributed pointers to this. Teams looking good, only thing left to do is see about swapping Moon Blast for Dazzling gleam, and adjusting Blissey's EV spread (Which as the corporal pointed out can be changed any time)
  13. You know what? I finally vented the anger that was building up within me recently, right at the source of it. And I'm not the least bit sorry about it. I will stand by every single word of that Rebuttal if I have to.

      GotWala

It's never a good thing to allow emotions to bottle up and build, so I'm happy to hear you've vented yours, haha. There is merit to both channeling and detaching your emotions, but I believe the former is healthier for most. Anyways, enjoy your vented psyche, haha!

    3. lost-silver

      lost-silver

nothing's wrong with venting. and i bottle up crud too. it isnt always good but it was always easiest for me due to my kind nature.

We all stand by you too! ^^

  14. 15. Alright, I've swapped up Vinny's moveset to make him more suitable to leading. As for the Gardevoir, how does the move set of Psychic/ Calm Mind, Moonblast, Energy Ball, and Hyper Voice sound?
  16. Soldiers, what would you all think... if I considered making Steel Types weak to Electric types in this RP? the reasoning would be in that just as the ground serves as an Insulator for electricity, Metal serves as a good conductor.
  17. Now there's one question... who to replace with it? Erce has already been 86'd in favor of Blissey.
  18. Crusader took to the sky as Nathan ordered, soaring up high above the Burbs and scanning the area with Eyesight surpassing an American Bald Eagle from the pre-infection era. He managed to confirm Surge's count; ten tangoes, as well as secure intel of each of their positions behind the cover of houses and cars before having to bank hard back towards the south, narrowly avoiding a pillar of thunder that had been launched up at it faster than an old fashioned Drone Missile Strike. It circled around one last time before heading back towards Bravo Team's Position on the hill... only to be rammed into by some sudden force from below, sending it tumbling through the air before it managed to regain consciousness and right itself, shooting back up to proper cruising altitude, scanning the barren morning skies for whatever had just assaulted it. Within another Sweep or two it spotted the enemy aerial Combatant, a Large, dark grey Bird of prey GAO with a black, red tipped crest extending over it's head. The thing let out a war cry as it glared at Crusader, and the Skarmory in turn gave one of it's own to the Staraptor. The duel for control of the skies over the burbs had begun, far above the two squadron's heads and far out of range of any attacks from the grounds to intervene in a timely fashion. They began strafing around each other, both of them keeping an eye on the other, neither one willing to back down from the challenge of Life and Death that had just been initiated... unfortunately for the Staraptor, Crusader had the huge advantage...of armoring stronger than steel. Meanwhile on the ground, the Squad holed up in the burbs began to open fire with their modded rifles, which sounded exactly like the real things as they sent Paint Ball after paint ball soaring up the hill, splattering against Pimparella's rock hard exterior. She seemed to be more amused than actually injured by the pellets though. "Infantry, sent another one of those burst at em, but don't kill anyone," Surge ordered from where he crouched behind the Rock Snake's girth. The Flareon obeyed eagerly, taking a deep breath and inflating it's internal combustion sack, then exhaling in long, hard stream, sending multiple missles of pure hell fire streaking down towards the housing development, being sure to aim for the areas where none of the enemies were actually hiding, but were instead close to. Just as before, they burst apart into fiery splashes upon impact, destroying several structures and starting a small fire that was quickly beginning to burn... "Shit! Get out here!" The Staff Sergeant called, taking another capsule from his belt and sending out something that the Soldiers hadn't seen for a long time; The Strange, bipedal Green toad he had used to stop the fire in the atrium. The moment it was out of it's capsule, the skies began to darken mysteriously. a few seconds passed, then a hard rain began to fall, dousing the inferno that had been growing down the hill. Surge recalled the toad as soon as the blaze was dead, himself and his men still dry up on the top of the rise. "I keep forgetting that we can't fight to actually kill anyone... Infantry, to me!" ((Murdoc, you control Crusader as if he were your actual PC rather than simply an extension, and I'll control the Staraptor, Soldier. There are no calling out orders at this distance, so Crusader has to call his own shots. It's a death match... you know what that means. there can only be one ruler of the skies here))
  19. Speaking of which, I wouldn't mind seeing a battle between Jacob and Mareek at some point...
  20. Then how about running Toxic Seismic toss Soft Boiled Heal bell That way I can just sit there and either wait it out while healing when needed (Unless of course, I run into something with magic Bounce/ Taunt), or wail with ST. EDIT: still trying to think of what I can do for more Multi Target moves...
  21. Alright, good, good... As for the Wall and Heal bell issue Dobby pointed out, I'm considering this: (Going to Replace Erce) Blissey running Thunder Wave, Soft Boiled, Heal Bell, and Toxic/ Seismic Toss I'm still trying to decide between Seismic toss or toxic.
  22. Alright, Corporal, I'll get to looking for a suitable wall/ Blissey along with something to replace Erce with. Anyone else with suggestions? Don't be shy now, Soldiers...
  23. Hmm... Seems that Commander Hukuna has yet to make it to scene. Alright, Soldier, I'll do it myself: Welcome to Reborn, Cadet. If you've an interest in writing, why not stop by the Role Playing Sub Forum here some time? We know how to 86 boredom, and there's always a place for anyone who wants to join the RP family and learn and improve their writing skills.
