  1. Alright then, Here let me go ask Google for a hand, soldier. Here, a little something to Explain Power-Playing Yes, Soldier, There Truly IS MORE! and it's Something to explain Godmodding
  2. "Stop you damn fool!" Leon shouted. "Don't go rushing off like some idiot, you'll surely get yourself killed like that someday!" It seemed as though nothing that Leonidas or Darius said was heard by Zoliver though. "Keep your eyes on that one, Leon," Anansi said from the otherside of the portal. "He poses the most threat to the mission with his smugness and lack of foresight and thought. I advise you keep you within sight and reach at all times... I needn't tell you what danger would be posed if IT managed to get a hold of one of them somehow." "I completely agree with you, old friend..." Leon sighed. "And here I thought I wasn't going to have to babysit anyone during this..." With that he began walking down off after Zoliver, a strange seal blazing on his palm, his magic kept at the ready encase something tried to eat the boy...which in the back of his mind, he honestly hoped would happen, just to teach the dumb man a lesson in prudence. As he walked, the old man disappeared without a trace at one point, Stratos's body now doing the walking instead of the Hero. But it was obvious this was still Leonidas... because the same exact Seal burned on the Sky Slayers hand and he had the same, disappointed, fed up look in his eyes as the old man had shown moments ago. Absalom and Lucian were the next ones to walk through, the latter not helping but shivering a little in the cold of the night air. "Have you people never been in this dessert before?" Absalom sighed, embarrassed by these Westerners lack of knowledge... maybe they would've been better off staying on the other side of the Cithal Range. "Walking around in this part of the Diraha at night, alone, is a sure fire way to get yourself killed. Sand Worms can sense the vibrations of people walking, and they like to target loners because they often don't feel like dealing with the resistance that comes from Parties consisting of two or greater. Smaller amount of food, but at the same time, it's also a lesser amount of energy that has to be expended trying to get it." Almost as if to concur with the boy's words, a slight rumbling could be felt beneath their feet for a few seconds... and then it was gone...because it was moving towards the same direction Leon and Zoliver. The Hero noticed the vibrations before the even reached him though, and was already shouting out a warning, hoping the knight would be able to hear him so far away. The Trembles went right under him and then passed as he did so, luckily he himself hadn't gotten too far from the portal. "Zoliver, you fool! Run! Run to the Damn Camp Fire as fast as you can! They hate going after groups!"
  3. alright, perhaps that was a bit HASTY and ill thought on my part. guess I'll take a page from Stratos and handle it like he did when he was here...

And it's going to be all the harder given how truly pissed I am. Alright, Surge, come on... you can keep it together, don't zap em...

    2. Shamitako

      Shamitako

You'll be fine ^^ Like I said before, you're pretty good at handling this stuff

  4. Yes, soldier, you are... though I'll have to think about where they could be located within the local area, find somewhere suitable.
  5. "His name is Arthur, though he doesn't know that at the moment," Leon said, eyes peeled on the darkened horizon. "Doubtless you've never heard of him, what with the way that History has been revised and edited over the years, but let's just say that in a fight, he's the only one I've ever truly trusted with my back. He took care of a little issue concerning a certain sorcerer and my Seal on Sitanas a few hundred years after I was dead and gone." He looked back to the portal, stopping his vigil. "But I guess I shouldn't whine about the truth of the Era of Heroes being edited out of the common history... afterall, I let those damn scholars do it for a reason. In the end it was better for us to be forgotten, by everyone, including our mutual enemy... but perhaps I'll be able to show you all where I hid what I needed to salvage, give a little a bit of context as to those we're looking for." he returned his sights to the desert. "What we're looking for right now is the light of a campfire... That's where we'll find one young Lord Arthur... and maybe even another one like you all." Out of Darius's peripheral, he could see something that might fit the bill of a small fire...
  6. It still requires that you pretty much pull off 3 auto hits against the other player in order to actually use the combo, at least that's what I'm getting from the way you described it. That in and of itself still isn't going to fly. I've already said why, soldier. EDIT: oh, and look what I found: Need I say more?
  7. Some people just naturally piss me off for no reason.

Just a problem with humans. You can't be in a world where no one will try to take happiness they're envious of.

The worst part is that it doesn't really go away. It just builds and builds and builds... and my fuse just keeps getting shorter and shorter... especially lately.

  8. I never get Writer's block, soldiers... There are just times when I'm not feeling in the mood to bother thinking up something to write.

  9. The general rule of thumb with combos is to keep it within the realms of reasonable strength. Don't go pulling some fantastical, ridiculously complex bout of BS physics/ psuedo science tactic that you think makes you "Unbeatable" or such. Make Combos interesting and clever, but don't go overboard, because there is a very fine line. And I agree with Corporal Dobby that the above combo is very close to Power Playing, as well as God modding from some of the Aspects of it you described, like auto hitting the opponent and not even giving a chance to react EDIT: Chimchain has also already stated this about battles: "Don't use more than two attacks and give the other side a chance to react."- that's paraphrased a little, but very close to what I read.
  10. Well he can either stand there and bitch about a type disadvantage, or he can suck it up and adapt to the situation. So what if he's caught off guard at times? what honestly matters in such situations is how one reacts and reevaluates. and quite honestly, I don't fight to win when I RP battles. I fight to cause the most damages on the opponent as I possibly can in the situation... I don't care who wins, but I'll do everything I can to make damn sure they'll have to work for it in order to achieve victory. So long as we can both walk away feeling that we managed to choreograph a great battle, one that we can look back on and not feel shame for it being shitty and/or lazy writing, but instead pride because we gave it our all in it's execution, then I'll be satisfied. What I care about is quality, Soldier, not win streaks.
  11. I honestly don't even know, soldier. Physics isn't exactly my strong suit. but I have other plans up my sleeve to try to deal with fire... But... do recall that this is all just assuming Mareek would actually be stupid enough to match something with a x4 weakness to fire...against a fire type in the first place. Yeah, not likely to happen unless he has no choice.
  12. I have Vacuum Wave, Soldier. No air in a Vacuum. if theres no Air then there's also no fire and no sound
  13. You're on, Soldier. I'll be looking forward to it someday. Calm down, soldier... It probably won't even be towards near the end or later parts of the chapter (If the situation permits it, of course) or maybe the middle... we'll just have to wait and see.
  14. I'm just hoping you didn't really just go there, Soldier, because I can't think of how it can "Go both ways" in a fight if what I'm thinking you're implying is not actually what you were implying. Possible Groan worthy innuendos aside now... That means metal coat then, right? Alright... I now what I'm gonna do sometime in Chapter 3
  15. Hmm... CBRNs... oh horrible, horrible CBRNs...

  16. Understood then, Sergeant. HehehehehehahahahHAHA... oops, happened again. Sorry bout that, Cadets.
  17. It's not that I've anything against Slade himself, Soldier... I just all in all I honestly just don't like that Magnemite of his. And that's saying a lot, coming from this Lieutenant.
  18. #DownWithOPTX1012K14!!! Anyways, Soldiers, it's ultimately up to Sergeant Chimchain on what will happen on that particular front... But I'm not going to lie, either way I'm very much looking forward to him nerfing that damn Magnemite.
  19. Eh, Soldiers, don't forget we Could always have Mareek's new Cubone throw a Bone Rush attack at the magnetic bastard... breaks right through that there Sturdy And just to clear this up: It's impossible for a Magnemite to have the ability of Levitate, and even if it did, Slade already abused the fact that TX101's stated ability is Sturdy during his battle with Jacob. And Scythers can fly perfectly fine, it;s just that they aren't seen doing such very often in the wild... but Erce isn't exactly a feral one, now is she? Needless to say, that's something Mareek has been working on over the last few weeks, so expect to see her taking to the air a lot more often during battles, no reason for him to waste such an advantage. EDIT:... for some reason, I'm now very tempted to ask to have Mareek battle Slade at the end of the trip...
  20. no. it'll just absorb even more and end up creating a shield around itself using the energy. so don't try it... unless you want to fight an enemy who has the same exact defensive advantage as you all.
  21. "well... I have to admit, you're right in that we can't turn back, all things considered. But just walking in probably isn't the smartest decision..." Eric sighed in response to Octavia, walking up to Rossephus and clasping his hand on the mans shoulder, gripping tightly as his hand began to blaze with light. The conqueror only cast a sideways glance at the act. "What are you doing, boy?" "Getting a bit of insurance so that we don't get slaughtered." Eric's hand burst with a dim glow, burning a strange glyph into the man's flesh. It was shaped exactly in the same pattern as the seal upon his palm; a black eagle made of mad Caligraphy, in flight with talons outstretched to catch prey. Rossephus seemed not to care about the pain or the smoke rising from the wound. "That's a Life Link, monster," Eric explained, taking his hand off him. "The two of us are bonded from now until I say otherwise. Here's how it's going to work, we'll enter your city... not like we have that many other options, and hear what you have to say. But here's the catch, you try anything against any of my people, and I mean Anything, and I'll give up my own life and take you with me. You understand these terms, Monster?" "I never pegged you as the suicidal one in the group..." Was all the auburn haired man had to say. "I'm not suicidal. I just value my own life a little less than some others. Now get walking, and remember, anything at all, and we're both going straight to hell." There was silence between the two for a moment... then a scoff came from Rossephus, followed by a smirk. "Alright. Your gusto impresses me, Eric. fine, We'll play by your rules. Come." He turned and began walking up the street. "Well, we have a plan now..." The Apothecary said, turning back to face those still standing there. His face became solemn for a moment though. "And one thing; that Life Link I just made... If that fiend is actually planning to do something while we're in there, now he's going to definitely try to detain me before he makes a move. I have but one request of you all... if it becomes obvious that he's moving in to take us out, or you see an unusual number of guards beginning to cluster around me... then kill me right then and there without hesitation, or at the very least grab me and threaten to slit my throat and actually mean it. He might be telling the truth, or he might be lying through his teeth about everything, but either way, He's not going to get away with fucking us other if he tries it, not if I've anything to say." with that said, the apparently somewhat suicidal Eric turned away and made his way through the gates, leaving them there alone but confident they wouldn't be assaulted.
  22. Hmm... I don't know about this new Avi, Soldiers, might go back to the previous one...

  23. The Bullets from Big, Vixen, and Garen all bounced off the armor plating on the thing's side as it banked a hard right, heading towards the source of these new noises, opening it's mouth and letting out a deafening war cry that left all of their ears ringing... It's cry stopped when Kenshin's attack landed, right smack in the thing's chest...except it didn't seem to be doing any damage. Oh now, quite the contrary. A series of tiny, yellow bards extended from the thing's wings and spine as it basked in the lightning, taking it all in like a sponge before shooting off high into the atmosphere beyond sight, Kenshin's Arc Caster soon running out of charge. Up high in the sky a tiny, blazing yellow light could be seen, nothing but a mere speck... The Lightning beast flew high above the forest, it's body reinvigorated by the blast of electricity that had been foolishly used on it. Not only had it shrugged off the injuries from Arietta's White Phosphorous missile, but it's senses had been amplified as if it had been injected with some performance enhancing drug, able to not only pick up the Squad's electromag signatures again, but also the Electromagnetic signatures of an even larger group of prey several miles south from here... why go for the small bird when a large one is heading right towards you? The tiny, pulsating light banked another hard turn as the group watched from far below, their weapons completely unable to reach such an extreme altitude. A faint but still notable screech sounded out as the thing they had been fighting veered off in some direction and picked up speed, leaving a trail of visible, charged ions behind it as it flew... and the moment it started moving away from them, the systems all went back up as if there had never been any issue at all. The squad could no see where they all were truly... Ten miles north of base camp. That definitely explained all the marching. But there was something else on the map that also caught their attention... there were two Signatures moving towards them from the south west... Exo Suit Signatures. ((The thing is still within the vicinity of eye sight.)) Dobby As soon as those who had been selected for the mission had loaded onto the transport and gotten into firing position, Lt.Stone knocked on the pilot window, giving the man sitting inside the go ahead to start driving. Within moments they lifted off from the ground, hovering at least a good meter, and shot off into the jungle at a surprising speed. Stone's voice came in through the Comms in Whit's ear. "Soldier, make sure you keep eyes on the skies. Over." ((the beast is not within eye sight of you. It's still where Garren's group is.))
  24. No actually, Commander, he didn't quite think of that before he left. Though, that might be a bit fun to see. And besides, Folks who already know him and whom he thinks of as friends will know why those post are like they are, so it won't really matter to him all that much. If anyone else comes along and gets curious about it...well, they'll just have to get to know Stratos, now won't they?
